Virdian*
Hey you lovely YaoiOtaku Community, I've been having something on my mind which I feel like I have to share with you guys. So I have played Dramatical Murder as a BL Game with Koujaku's *good end. Gonna put this into a spoiler in case you haven't played it yet. In the end, Koujaku proposes to Aoba by saying something like (not quoted): "I don't really feel attracted to men, but when I saw you my heart began rising..." And when he gets a nosebleed while having sex with Aoba, he said (quote): "Damn, this happened me with a girl too." So we never really learn if Koujaku has been gay or bisexual or not. And there's the issue which follows many media surrounding Yaoi themes. Where does ever the word 'homosexual' fall in Yaoi Manga, Anime or Games? And do Yaoi Media ever speak about the topic how gay people are being treated in society? Maybe by bringing up some clichés they have to face every time. I feel like, some people who watch Yaoi get a wrong impression of gay men and their love life in a relationship and outside. Now, don't get me wrong, I adore Yaoi so much I can't get enough, but that's just what's been disturbing me a quite long time now. Would be glad to see your opinion on this topic and how do you think Yaoi handles homosexual lifestyles.
Virdian*
After some thoughts I had, I came to the conclusion it doesn't mind me that much after all. Why can't we just enjoy plots without any clichés? Topic can be closed now.
