deadharbor
What are some stuff you've recently really loved or enjoyed? Mine, Hako no Naka by Narise Konohara (probably most of you already read it but I stayed up til dawn yesterday just cos I couldn't put it down. If you haven't read it, put it in your must read!) Genshiken Nidaime (Spoilers: Hato is a really confused boy who likes to dress up as a girl. He used to deny being gay, but has now developed feelings for his senpai Madarame. Madarame, who has always been a straight otaku since the first Genshiken series has become really confused recently too and nearly initiated a kiss) Hourou Musuko (quite light in bl, cos it's more about gender confusion, but I shipped Nitori and Doi. Besides it's really well written and I like the art style. Doi used to pick on Nitori who has always wanted to be a girl but as the story progressed, they developed sort of a friendship. Even though Nitori still maintains he hates Doi, he seems to trust him and find it easy talk to him. He even asked him to be the editor for his semi-autobiography which revealed a lot very personal stuff. And Doi for his part is very non-judgmental, and eagerly awaits his own appearance in the book, which has yet to come.) I've also gone and watched a really old series, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, and fell in love with Yang Wenli. Gonna ship him with Attenborough! Lol. Can't say everyone would surely enjoy such an old anime, but Yang really is awesome. Oh Yahari-Ore-no-Seishun-Love-Come-wa-Machigatteiru isn't bad. Hachiman x Hayama is just as good as all the other het ships on the shows. And I'm pretty sure Hachiman is bi since he's pretty infatuated with pretty boy character. Can't think of more now, and anyways my post is too long. I hope some of you decide to rec something too!
MaryWeather
So this isn't a yaoi manga but it might as well be haha! I've fallen madly in love with the series, Baraou no Souretsu. It's inspired by Shakespeare's Richard III and Henry IV. The main character Richard was born genderless so I can make it BL if I want haha! I'm also currently reading the yaoi novel, Love Water by Venio Tachibana. I haven't gotten far in it but I really like what I've read. I also recently read Love Stage!! but we all adore Love Stage!! haha XD I watched the anime, but never read the manga.
deadharbor
Baraou no Souretsu sounds really unique. And I've just downloaded Love Water too. You love Historicals don'tcha. :-) if you read novels by English language writers too, give Lolah Burford's Edward, Edward and Maria McCann's As Meat Loves Salt a shot. Thanks for the recs.
