Kokuran
Different cultures, different customs - I get that. I'm hoping someone here can explain something to me I don't get. Every biography of every manga-ka I've ever read included information on the blood type. Coming from a people where 8 out of 10 probably couldn't tell you their blood type if their life depended on it, I just have to ask: Why ?!? Aside from medical personnel what's the big deal about the blood type? Who cares about that?

I don't know with 100% certainty, but I'm pretty sure it's because in Japan they use blood types to describe personality, kind of like how in the west we use Zodiac signs to describe personalities (like Aries are stubborn). Like I said, not sure if that's why they list the blood type in the biography, but it could be!

At least now I understand why they think it's important. The linked site is very interesting reading and frighteningly on the point ....
