Aomine huffs as he holds the to his ear as he walks home. " no more than usual she should be glad I actually showed up". Aomine gulps feeling his mask crack. Tetsu always had that affect on him. Even over the phone. The boy always seemed to know when the former light was off". Aomine made it home and sighed

He unlocked the door and walked in plopping on the couch. "T-tetsu i-i t-think i might be gay". He closed his mouth instantly not sure of why he even bothered to tell him. He sighed as he felt like a dam on his emotions split opened. " I don't know what to do I keep having all these feelings and these thoughts". Aomine gulps not sure what Tetsu would say. Did he find it disgusting? "I-i. Like Kagami". He fell back against the sofa and waited for a reply.

Kokuro sighs a bit as he listened to Aomine. "So you've said it loud an clear. I bet you feel lighter now that you aren't holding it in. Just be sure you still bring your A-game to every match." he said like normal. "It's not weird unless you think it is. I can assure you most of your teammates as well as some of the teams we play against won't find it weird. Just avoid telling Satsuki for now. I mean unless you enjoy having your own fangirl mob." he said taking a sip from the drink he had sitting in front of him. "I think now the most important thing you should do Daiki is tell Kagami."

Daiki shook his head no. " are you crazy? Tell him? I can't tell him what if he thinks it's disgusting? As much as I hate to admit it has become one of my best friends and I don't want to lose him. And by the way the one Satsuki wants is you. Not me we've never been like that no matter what anyone says". Daiki sighs. Can you do me a favor like you don't have to come out and ask but maybe sniff around to get some answers about what he thinks and where his preference lies. Unless you know something already. I mean does he have a girlfriend? I just don't want to confess and be made a fool".

"I know who Satsuki wants but I meant something else by that. Girls tend to read the weirdest manga. Never mind that Daiki. You need to tell him. You won't know what he thinks if you keep it bottled up. No matter the out come I can assure you Kagami won't leave your side." Kokuro said as he glanced at the time. "Well I'm sure you'll make the right decision. I have to go. Talk to you later Aomine." he said before hanging up

Daiki nodded. "Yeah alright tetsu. Thanks". He ended the call and thought about what Tetsu said. What did he mean when he said he wouldn't leave his side? He sighed again unlocking his phone and decided to text Kagami. He shot a quick text apologizing for being rude and leaving so abruptly. When he finished he SAT back and waited for a reply. Could you really tell him that he secretly likes him all the time? Tetsu was right. The only way to find out what the problem and if you thought it was weird well I guess that ended the friendship. Instead of waiting for a text reply he went ahead and dialed his number.

Kagami was in the shower when the text messages popped up on his phone. As he got out the phone began to ring. He answered it surprised it was Daiki. "Hey! What's up? It's a bit late for a rematch ya know." he said not sure why the other was calling.

Daiki rolled his eyes. " I know that ass I was calling to talk but if you are busy I can call back later. Look I have something important that I need to discuss with you. I'm not sure how you're going to take it but its been bugging me for a while and I need to say something". Daiki inhales sharply and let a breath out. "I-i l-like you.... A-a lot. Before you ask. Yes i mean like as in like and yes i am gay. Now if its too weird tell me now so i can deal with this".

Kagami chuckled as Aomine called him an ass. "I'm glad to see your doing fine. You seemed seriously off today." he said before the other said he wanted to talk. Before he had the chance to utter another word, Aomine dropped the bomb. Kagami froze up for a moment. He wasn't sure if this was a joke or for real. "Aomine I'm all for a good joke but that's not something to joke about. A person and their feelings have to be considered. Now what did you really wantonly about?"

Aomine gasped at the response. He didn't take him serious? He couldn't believe it. Well he could but who confesses something like this and wants to be made fun of? Feeling his mood change and not for the better. He opted to get off the phone. He cleared his throat feeling the emotions surface. "A-ah look i-i need to go see ya". Daiki hung up quickly throwing the phone down. He wished it broke but the battery popped out on the floor. He had no intentions on talking to anyone else anyway. He groaned and picked himself up heading to his room. He locked the door and crawled into bed. He chuckled to himself but not in a funny way. Phantom tears treked down his face as he buried it in his pillow. There was no way he'd go to school tomorrow.

Kagami blinked as he heard the other hang up. That was really weird for him. "He never sis did he was serious or not. What a weird guy but damn if he was serious....." he started to say feeling himself blushing at the thought. "Crap!! How the hell do I face him now. If he was joking I'll be crushed but if he was serious... If he's serious how do I reply to that." he mumbled to himself going to put something on.

Satsuki huffed for the millionth time. His phone was going to voicemail. He wasn't at school. She would try the courts. Maybe he was there with kagami. After school she headed straight to courts hoping to catch a glimpse of him. When she got there she only saw Kagami. She sighed and walked over. "Kagamin, have you seen Dai-chan? He wont pick up and he wasnt at school".

 

Daiki spent all day in bed reading basketball magazines and watching old game footage. He tried to keep his mind off of kagami. He was throughly embarrassed. There was no way he could fave him again. He looked at the clock knowing he probably was waiting.

Kagami went about his day before ending up at the courts. He wasn't sure if he'd see Aomine. After the weird conversation yesterday he wasn't sure what to say to him. As he waited suddenly someone else appeared. It surely wasn't Daiki. "No I haven't seen him. I'm actually waiting for him to show up." he said nervously.

 

Just then Tetsu walked over. Satsuki had been trying to get him to find Aomine as well. "I can't find him Satsuki. Maybe he's been crushed. What do you think Kagami?" She asked wondering if Aomine spoke to him.

 

Kagami looked at him. His eyes widen slightly. If Kokuro knew about their weird conversation then it must be true. "Damn it! I'll go find him." he said taking off. He had to speak with Aomine.

Daiki finally got out of bed to shower and eat. While he was up he cleaned. When he was finished he plopped back into bed grabbing the cell phone he threw down last night. He slipped battery back in and put the cover back on and turn the phone on. Once the phone what was on it buzzed uncontrollably. So many missed calls and texts from satsuki and tetsu. He sighed knowing the hysterics she will be in, so he shot a quick text to Tetsu letting him know he was alright and he just needed some time alone

Tetsu soon noticed the message from Aomine. He replied with a 'You confused him and he's on his way to you.' He really hopes that Aomine could patch things up with Kagami. He turned to Satsuki and told her he was down with a stomach ache. He was sure this would tide her concerns for now.

 

Kagami got a little lost but soon found Aomine's house. He walked up to the door and rang the bell. He really hoped the other would answer.

Aomine sighed knowing who it was. He could ignore it but he decided he needed to clear the air. He walked out of the kitchen and went straight for the door. He swung it open and saw Taiga standing there. He exhaled and spoke. "H-hey, c-come in". Daiki didnt realize he forgot his a shirt til he heard some passersby whisper about how hot he looked. He blushed and closed the door.

Kagami was out of breath as he arrived. He was really glad Aomine answered. He slowly entered and waited for the door to close. "Hey I'm seriously sorry about yesterday. When you suddenly said those things to me I honestly didn't think you were being serious. I mean your always saying things to throw me through a loop. Plus if you were only joking I'd be crushed. So tell me right now. Do you seriously feel that way about me? I really need to know." he said

Daiki stood and listened to him ramble. He really wanted to tell him to calm down but i guess he can sort of understand. All these thoughts running around in your head. Then they finally break through without a filter. By the time he held his hand upbto tell him to breathe he was done and heard his last question. He was trying to decipher what he said. Did he say he'd be crushed? That shocked Daiki. "W-wait Taiga, slow down for a sec. Come sit down. Ill get you a gatorade. Catch your breath and i promise we'll talk.". Daiki took a deep breath and walked into the kitchen grabbing a bag of chips and 2 sports drinks. When retrieved everything he went back. "Here".

Kagami looked at him as he walked inside and took a seat in a chair. He tried to calm down but it was really difficult. He gave a faint smile when Aomine handed him a sport drink. "Thank you." he mumbled as he opened it and practically guzzled it down. He sighs a bit still unable to fully relax. His mind was all over the place at the moment. "Daiki...."

Daiki sat in the arm chair and looked up. He still hasn't gathered his thoughts. He in silence for a bit before he said anything. "Look.. I don't know what I'm doing. This isn't the easiest for me. Being around you.. I just don't know. I constantly think about you. I like you but I'd be lying if i said i knew how to handle this. I mean everyone has their expectations of me. I tried but i can't. Im gay and i feelings for you. I don't know what else to say. If its weird let me know so i can unfuck myself from this situation.

Kagami didn't like the silence. He could seriously feel the tension. Once hearing Daiki speak his nerves felt on edge. His gaze fixated on the other. "I see so you do like me that way. I feel like my heart might stop. I don't know whether to be overjoyed or ecstatic. Um this isn't a result of you finding out my feelings for you right?" he asked wondering if Aomine had ever noticed his feelings. "I mean I was trying so well to hide them so our friendship wouldn't be ruined but if you feel the same as I do then I don't have to hold back." he said

Daiki looked up. "Y-you have feelings for me? I-i didnt know. How come you didnt say anything? Well i guess i understand why but no i didn't know. Contrary to what everyone thinks, I'm not some horny play boy that fucks everything walking. I won't say i haven't tried with girls but i couldn't so i stopped and ignored that i might may be gay. Until i met you. You this guy i hated that turned into my rival and now bestfriend. You got under my skin. No one has ever made me feel like that".

Kagami sighs a little. "I see well then I'm glad I got under your skin. I makes me happy to hear." he said glancing down. "So this might be weird to say but what happens now? I mean our feelings for one another have been cleared up. Does this mean we're going to date or hold hands? Ugh this is ear too new for me." he said getting annoyed with himself.

Daiki shrugged. "Well i assume couples do that right? So i guess yeah. But i think we should maybe keep it between us. I mean we should at least tell tetsu and satsuki".

"Yeah you have a point. I'll be sure to act normal around you and lovey when it's just us." he said grinning a little. He was kind of happy about this. A secret he could share with Aomine. "So um we are alone right now right..? Can I hold your hand?" he asked

Daiki flashed a quick smile and got up and sat on the sofa next to Taiga. "Yeah we can do that and alot more if you like". He grinned as he sat down. "So you wanna tell them together"?
