"I wish for the world to change." Someone had whispered as the blue roses bloomed and hell came forth wreathed in flames and terrible blows of trumpets. Where fighting was constant and only a means of survival and resource gathering, where people are more numerous than monsters that abducted them.. where minor freedom was still an unknown privilege.. where most choices were still one's own to take. In a time before the Panopticons.

Sinners:

Born as undesirables and prisoners sentenced for

1,000,000

years of imprisonment for the crime of living. Considered as the

dogs of the Panopticon

and are ranked by CODES from 0 - 8 where ones with a higher number are considered more valuable. Should a sinner reach CODE 8, they are given the choice to become a

2nd Class Citizen

.

 

Citizens:

Born as fee-living members of the Panopticon and are very valuable assets to the society. They are skilled workers in different or multiple fields but are always striving to find new ways for the Panopticon to survive on its meager resources. Unlike sinners, citizens have freedom to marry and reproduce with a state-chosen partner. They are also allowed to work inside the Panopticon and are given freedom to go outside to search for resources, but at the chance of being abducted by rival panopticons. However, breaking major rules and stopping their contribution will reduce a citizen into a sinner.

 

CODE:

Contribution Oriented Distribution of Entitlements. It actively represents a sinners contribution to their Panopticon, as well as their social standing and rights.

 

CODE 1

Sinners are considered to be beyond useless, and have little to no Entitlements. Their Cell is dark, gloomy, and dirty. They are forbidden from leaving their Cell, bar for Operations, where all but the most useless of resources are confiscated from them -they do, however, receive Entitlement Points and a sentence reduction for handing over these materials-. They are observed constantly by their Accessory.

CODE 8

Sinners on the other hand, are considered praiseworthy individuals, who have worked hard for their Panopticon, and are afforded a meager amount of respect from all. These Sinners live in clean -if barren- Cells, have the option of leaving their Cell without the supervision of their Accessory, have access to a vast wardrobe and can claim any material they wish after an Operation. A

CODE Exam

is taken by a sinner, after achieving a set of goals, to increase their CODE ranking. Passing the CODE Exam will mean a new cell and more Entitlements, such as the right to retain better materials at the end of Operations, or the ability to leave their Cell and converse with fellow Sinners or even Citizens.

 

Panopticon:

Are subterranean cities created by and occupied by humans as a means of surviving the catastrophe that struck the Earth many years ago, which rendered the Earth's surface unsuitable for life. With natural resources being in unfathomably short supply, these underground city-states impose upon their residents strict laws on productivity for their cities, going so far as to make getting amnesia for various reasons or even existing a crime punishable by a one million year prison sentence. Even the people themselves are seen as nothing more than resources in the eyes of the Panopticon governments, but resources that are of the highest value nonetheless.

 

Accessories:

They are humanoid Androids made by Citizens to protect and watch sinners, working as both Bodyguards and prison wardens. In the event an Accessory is unavailable to

CODE 5 and lower

sinners, a bracelet that can monitor the nervous system is attached to the sinner's wrist; acting as a temporary replacement and providing vital information with regards to the sinner's needs and possible activities.

 

Entitlements:

These are a set of privileges that a sinner can buy using Entitlement points, gained through sentence reduction, wherein more becomes available as the sinner goes up in rank.

 

Thorns:

Are long vine-type lassos that are specific for Sinner usage in combat. Classified as either Binding, Healing or Shielding, and are colored as red, green and white, respectively. Can either be used for movements or attacks, or charged to bind, heal or protect.

NO godmodding

Good English grammar. Mistakes are negligible as long as the post is understandable.

Minimum of TWO paragraphs/post. If you're gonna make a long reply then make sure that the content would be just as satisfying.

Must be Experienced in RP. Know and understand the Yes-and-Nos of the play.

Must be able to reply 2x a week. Not necessarily reply immediately after a post. I know there are troubles on personal situations but it's asked to give me a note if you won't be able to reply for a prolonged period of time.

Must have LOTS of imagination. This is a long RP, improvement and suggestion to the plot are always encouraged.

Theatrical dramatics are acceptable but make sure to tone it down.

Personality

A genius child, even when he was a baby he was destined to do great things. At least to his parents’ wishes. It was soon clear that he was highly intellectual, getting updated to a Number 1 Citizen at the Age of 16 many things were expected of him. Due to the pressure of the government as well as his parents, he never did things kids his age should do. Since his young years he was stuffed into the adult world and bring glory to the Panopticon. Maybe because of that he always sits in his labor, only going out of it to collect new ingredients or fulfill the necessary needs of the human body. Though a bit out of it he is a nice fellow. He is insensible concerning jokes always taking them to heart. Pretty stubborn and doesn’t listen always to orders. Usually he loves staying in his labor or exploring the upper world. He feels guilty whenever he needs to be saved by Sinners but he can’t bring himself to not go up there anymore. It was one of his only escape routes out of this forced live. He behaves like an adult but he still has an amazing large quantity of childish curiosity.

 

Weapon

Not needed as a citizen, but if the situation arise he fights with everything he finds. Since he is a medical researcher, he can create poison or paralyzers and use them as 'weapons'.

Biography

Born into a family of scientists, even the only son grew up to become one. The only difference being that he strived to help the people with creating medicine or other plant based potions. Plants were rare in the new world so when Ramiel saw their pictures in old books he instantly became smitten. More often than not did he find himself on the planet surface to search for plant life. After getting caught one time too often, the government wanted to degrade him to a sinner. But since he was searching for new medicine and thus new resources he was granted access to the abandoned earth above. Over time he even grew to be able to escape most of the Abductors so he mostly stayed out of trouble. But there had been enough times where he had been caught. One of them was when Xeno saved him. Until that moment he never thought about Citizens, Sinners or the Panopticon.

 

As resources are so rare, Ramiel is trying his all to get new medicine for the people. One can even say that he is a workaholic but he vehemently denies it. It isn’t just work after all, but his life. So he will continue to get caught by the Abductors and he hopefully will be rescued by the Sinners. To him, they aren’t the bad bunch. They don’t have a choice, but they do always try to get Citizens like him back to safety. And for that he was grateful.

☪Perceptive: Slaine likes to observe and scan the people around him along with his surroundings. He's insightful and discerning, and has a sensitive intuition. Because of this trait, he can read people like they're a book half the time.

 

☪Blunt and Honest: Slaine doesn't care to speak frequently, but when he does, it's rarely a lie. He's uncompromisingly forthright, and is candid as a kick to the shins.

 

☪Quiet: Slaine tends to speak only when spoken to or when he thinks something is worth saying. He's silent but deadly, and is well versed in the use of his weaponry, and thus should not be underestimated. While he doesn't say a lot, there is still a lot racing through his mind. He also often takes a philosophic view on many aspects of life.

 

☪Stubborn: Despite his silent nature, Slaine is very stubborn and will very rarely change his mind no what the circumstances. That's usually the case when it concerns things he desperately cares about, such as his lover. He's able to choose to stand his ground, even pass the point of suffering for it.

 

☪Loyal: Slaine is loyal to a point where it can even be considered the largest fault he has. This trait is always directed towards the people he truly trusts and cares for. To those he holds up to a considerable high regard, he'll almost never betray them, no matter what. If he ever does have to, the decision to do so will become a very regrettable weight on his heart.

 

☪Shy: Slaine is very aloof and shy towards the female portion of the population in general. Even though he handles men a bit better, as soon as they become potential love interests, the way he acts around them will basically be the same. It takes a bit of effort from his partner to bring him out of that shell, but when they manage to, he'll become very loving, caring, a bit possessive, and even quite sexual when it comes down to it. The only person who's been able attain this feat so far, has only been his current lover.

 

☪Humble: Slaine is very modest in nature, and isn't the kind of person to accomplish his tasks because he wants something in return. Rather, he does them because he wants to. Furthermore, he never takes orders or the tasks he's assigned to lightly, and the thought to ever question the person he's loyal to will almost never cross his mind.

 

☪Gentle and Elegant: Despite his deadly nature, Slaine is a compassionate and sympathetic person at heart, and treats his surroundings with care and respect. He can also be quite protective as well. He's graceful, and has a dignified air around him.

After an exploding shrapnel accident that occurred when he was reclaiming a kidnapped citizen, Slaine, now an amnesiac, lacks anything but a shadow of his former life. Not much is known about him, except that he's a Code 6 Sinner, had been convicted from birth, and that he had been reduced to a Code 1 Sinner after the accident. During the time of the time of the accident however, Slaine had only been a Code 2 Sinner, and would have been a Code 8 Sinner instead of a Code 6 by this time but was lowered due to the fact that he had suffered a head trauma and acquired the distasteful illness that the underground city-states found punishable by a one million year sentence. It is believed that he was genetically modified to be stronger than the average human so that he'd able to fight Abductors and other sinners from rival Panopticons.

 

He's well versed in the usage of his swords, and his hobby--as weird as it may be--is polishing them until they're spotless. Despite the fact that it's against the law of the Panopticons to attain a lover as a Sinner, he's acquired a secret lover that goes by the name of Arita, Xeno and is quite devoted to him, as well as protective.[/td]
