Zombie_In_A_Box
I just wanted to do something of the sort Basically, C1 would either have a doll from a young age or will have gotten it at some point in his life when he is older. For whatever reason (we'll think of it), C1 has to move away somewhere where he doesn't know anyone, which is why he'd be feeling lonely and all that jazz. After the first night, he is greeted by the human version of his doll - aka, C2. The doll helps him get around, but is kept hidden, a secret, and soon grows dissatisfied with that. C2 demands to be taken outside to see the world or tries to run away. This could either be a roleplay of the kind where C1 would teach C2 about the "wonders of this world", or it could grow into a somewhat-abusive roleplay, where C1 would continue to keep C2 hidden by force. Depends on you!
hal7283
A few questions I'd like to ask: 1. What kind of "doll" are you talking about? Like a stuffed toy? Or a "real doll" with rolling eyes and ball joints and all? Or even one with cogs and wires and stuff inside? 2. What's the doll like in its "human" form? Does it still retain some of its doll features or just look totally human? Or it's like "Rozen maiden" where the dolls just move around itself? 3. Can't the doll be the possessive one in the relationship? 4. How do you imagine the Seme/Uke of the relationship? Do you plan to make it explicit in the first place? Zombie_In_A_Box
Well, I imagine a "real" doll, as you say, rolling eyes, joints and all that. As for the human form, I suppose the features that stay the same are probably hair, eye color, and in general he'd be, how to say it... Too pretty to be just a human? Like one of those people who look like real-life dolls, do you know what I mean? I suppose the doll could be the possessive one, that would also be interesting :] I don't mind making it explicit, and as for roles, it's best to see after the characters are created. They could also be sekes, although I imagine the doll would just go with whatever its human wants.
hal7283
Hmm...I'm interested in playing the doll, give me some time to make up the character sheet if that's okay with you. Another thing is, I'm wondering is "a human form" or "transformation" necessary, since the doll could just looks and feels like a normal human being except for the joints to begin with, and it would be a pity to make the joints disappear when he "came alive". I mean we might as well make use of the "doll" setting while at it, and if necessary we could even take him apart while he was active....... It really opens up possibilities..... Zombie_In_A_Box
I suppose we could keep the joints, but there should be a little bit of a human feeling too, right? I mean, soft skin, warmth, details like that. Doll-like, but nice to touch, is what I mean You can play the doll, sure, perhaps you have some ideas for the title? hal7283
The title?.....Hmm........... I'll just throw out some random "doll" related stuff here and see if anything stick: "Disjointed" "Puppet Show" "Who's pulling the strings?" "Doll House" "Tangled" "There are no strings on me" (okay I got some ideas from Ultron...) And here "it" is. Product Name: Doll(male) Height: Around 5'8'' when in standing position. Weight: Unknown, but seems lighter than human of the same size. Material: Unknown. Feels exactly like human skin, hair, and bone beneath the skin when examined by human touch. Description: Live-size doll of unknown origin. Looks similar to an adult male with purple-ish hair and clear blue eyes. Made with exquisite crafting to the smallest detail. The doll can be dismembered for cleaning and maintenance purposes along the joints. Use normal soap and shampoo for cleaning. The doll came with a small key in its original casing. CAUTION: DO NOT insert the key included into the hole on the back of the doll's neck. DO NOT wind the internal mechanism with said key. The owner must take full responsibility for possible damage if he/she proceed otherwise. Return policy: No return. No replacement. A doll is a imitation of human beings, made to ease people's boredom, solitude, or to satisfy their need for art, for beauty. In any case a doll is a doll, nothing more. In fact if the likeliness of a doll to a human being reached a certain level it began to give people the creeps, making them uncomfortable. "The Uncanny valley", as it was called. But once you breach the "valley", once the doll became so similar to a human that you can't tell the difference, the doll became lovable again. But what if it goes even beyond that? What if a doll was made more beautiful than any human being ever could? What if a doll was made so perfect and so alive that it was actually "alive"? For most people this is nothing more than a fantasy, a thought exercise to kill the spare time. But for some people it was their goal, their obsession, their purpose: whether to train their skills to the point of creating it themselves, or to search the world for such a entity. Some were driven mad by their inability to obtain or create such a doll; some committed ferocious crimes in order to reach it. But one, according to the legends, after unimaginable suffering and madness, succeeded. And here it is. Right in front of your eyes. With all of its beauty beyond normal human beings, made the more fascinating by the juxtaposition between the clearly human look and touch, and the clearly artificial joints. And most important of all, when you wind the springs, he comes alive. Oh and one more thing, I'm not exactly the reply immediately ten times a day kind of guy, plus even if I want to we may live across the planet and your day is my night. But I promise to reply as fast as I'm able.
Zombie_In_A_Box
I like "Disjointed", honestly :] We shall go with that~ Appearance: Light brow hair, gentle dark green eyes. His skin is pale, as he never manages to get a tan. He's rather skinny, but not muscular. Name: Ethan Curtis Age: 23 Height: 5'9" Description: Most of the time he's calm and rather passive. He often drifts off during the day, as he finds it difficult to concentrate on something alone. Ethan never found the need to be surrounded by people all the time, but being alone scares him, which is the reason he has a dog. The animal serves as someone he talks to during the night, when he can't sleep. As a teenager he had anorexia, since he was extremely sensitive to what other people thought of his appearance. Although now he seems to have this under control, people still play a big part in how he sees himself. Do you want me to create the thread? hal7283
Yes please. I'm curious how do you plan for Ethan to get "it".
