The Supreme Court Ruling to legalize same-sex marriage that had taken place approximately two months ago is certainly a cause for great celebration, and could be seen "as the coda of the gay rights movement" ("The Challenges That Remain After Marriage Equality"). However, it's being said that the ruling might not be able to be seen as the final battle, nor could it be seen as a sign that all Americans are now living under the full rule of equality. Despite the joyous day that had taken place, discrimination is still at an all time high "on the basis of gender identity and sexual orientation remains an everyday challenge in many parts of the country" ("The Challenges That Remain After Marriage Equality"). Nevertheless, no matter how hard and long this war might turn out, there are still many who will continue fighting for as long as it takes.
