Lady.Taser
Full Name: Galen Reila Appearance: Galen isn't short in comparison to most people at 5'8, His dark blonde hair that fell past his shoulders was normally pulled back into a pony tail at the nape of his neck, however there were always loose strands falling out and framing his face. Normally a bright smile sat underneath his green eyes and while he didn't have built up muscles they were well-defined from his life on the road and all the dangers that it entailed. Eye Color: Jade Green Eyes Hair Color: Dark Blonde Age: 25 Years Old Height: 5'8 Weight: 162 pounds Personality: Galen likes to be able to help people and is good-natured, more than happy to mix potions with healing properties and to cast healing spells to aid people. He doesn't tend to ask for much, a place to sleep, food to eat and some money to aid him in travels. Smiling often and calm he takes a while to get mad, always trying to reason through problems or disagreements before yelling. Galen looks forward to being able to talk with people, finding out gossip and stories of a town. Likes/Dislikes: He likes helping the weak or unfortunate, reading magical tomes when he can find them and has the time to sit down and read them. Learning about new spells and plants. He likes mixing new potions with plants that he collects on his travels, looking to find new combinations that work. He likes travelling for short periods of time. Galen dislikes when people don't listen and judge based solely on stories. He hates thing being wasted for no reason, everything can be used for something. Travelling for too long becomes a problem as Galen has no chance to experiment with plants. Role: Lone Witch Position: Uke Family History: Galen wasn't an only child, he also had an older sister and they were raised by their mother alone. Their mother, Trenali, had chosen to settle down in one village becoming the local witch, who while appreciated was not always accepted. This meant that Galen and his sister, Giana had been occasionally bullied or shunned by the villagers. The culprits changed weekly depending on who needed their mothers help at the time. They both chose to learn witchcraft from their mother, Giana was very engrossed with the spells while Galen was more drawn to the potions. However when the foresight first came to Galen he started learning more from the tomes. It wasn't often, but when it did it had rather large consequences. The second time it happened he was 18 and he tried to warn the village about an illness that would pass through the village, contagious through the water and that they should boil it first. Very few listened and didn't fall ill. Of those that fell ill the illness was only fatal to a couple of people, the very elderly however they chose to blame the Illness on Galen, claiming that he was the cause. So he left the village to travel, never spending so long in one place that it could ever happen again. If he had foresight in regards to a certain person or village he would pass the knowledge on and then leave. Abilities: Foresight - Not a common occurrence. Spells- Galen is proficient with spells but doesn't claim to know much, most of his spells are for healing or protections and he only knows one or two offensive spells. Potions - Galen mixes a lot of his own potions, he knows a lot about plants and their properties and doesn't often use potion guides or recipes. Hobbies: Mixing potions and leaning new information. yin_yang_lover
(That's fine deary~) The sun was shining high above the small quiet town of Windlebrug- the streets were crowed with people buy goods and other things. During the day it was calm and peaceful; but at night... That was a different story. A couple was walking to a bakery to get some bread. Children chasing each other for the fun of it, however- the once nice afternoon soon turned sour. Two young teens ran out of the Black Forest with pale white faces- they both were yelling about seeing demons and glowing red eyes. The towns people stopped their daily routine in favor of looking at the young men, fear filled mutters rushed through the crowd of people. Their eyes looking a few miles away towards the black forest- they hoped and prayed that what ever it was that the young men had seen was just in their imaginations. But-- they all knew better, for they knew that even the sun doesn't shine through the thick black trees. Anything could be in those thick woods... Or anybody could be lurking in there. Lady.Taser
The sun was high in the sky, beating down on Galen intensely when he finally found him self outside the town. It seemed quite busy and the sign he could see read 'Windlebrug'. Galen pressed onward despite his tiredness looking for the inn, normally he would look for the healer and pharmacy however he had run into some rather bad luck a couple of days back. Some ground crumbled as he stood near the edge of a small drop and as he landed he could hear the breaking of vials in his haversack. The potions had leaked over most things in his haversack, he was able to dry out his sleeping role and spare clothes, luckily the potions were all healing and there were no unfortunate effects of dissolving the materials. His food though had been spoilt and the fresh plants we no longer usable for mixing to potions. This meant that when Galen found himself walking into Windlebrug he hadn't eaten properly for a couple of days, he had a small bag of coin. Enough to get a warm meal, a bed for the night and to replace some travelling food and lost vials the following day, but no more than that. It was probably a good Idea that he didn't stay too long in this town. Galen wandered the streets of the town after his meal, his few belongings in the room at the inn, when he watched as the two boys ran into the town, white from sheer terror and spoke of demons and red eyes. He tried speaking to the villagers as they spoke. Most just pointed towards the forest, black trees looming in the distance. Throughout the afternoon he tried to find out more, how large was the forest? was it possible to travel around it? what was the other side? what was in there? However most people didn't want to talk about it. One child told him about a castle, but he was shooed away by their mother to find out anything more. That night Galen went to bed, frustrated and curious. He had barely been able to find out anything and he wished he could speak to Giana for some advice. They may have been more in tomes about creatures that inhabited the planet alongside humans however Galen had never really read that information. It wasn't something he found of interest until a few years after he left his family. Tomorrow he swore to himself, tomorrow he would investigate. yin_yang_lover
Beyond the dark forest, past a huge coursing crystal clear blue river lay a huge white bricked castle. Standing tall- looming high above the thick dark black trees, inside of the many long marble hallways- a set of large pure black oak doors were opened. The only light that was shone through the dark castle was coming from that room. A soft glow illuminated from the large white and gold marble fire place- burning the dark brown wood from the shadow trees that blocks the way to the looming dark castle. Sitting on a nice blood red silk clawed foot couch sat a young male with hair as dark as the midnight sky above. His sharp golden were scanning the pages of a old worn out black leather covered book. His pale fingers turning the pages with elegance, his long black slacked legs were crossed over one another. A calm look crossed over his strong features- the dull lighting was casting shadows over his handsome face. However, his once peaceful look soon turned sour when he heard an all to familiar annoying voice- "Why are you laughing?" He felt his eyebrow twitch when the musical laughter of his older twin broke through the once quiet mood. "These human's! Ha! They are two easy to play with..." The man with snowy white hair that framed his face oh so perfectly. His sharp red eyes were dancing with mirth and mischievousness. He walked over towards his twin brother and sat down next to him. He leaned back on the couch as he exhaled deeply- his eyes closing in content. That puzzled the younger twin, how strange... Usually his brother was more annoying... But today? What was wrong with him? As if reading his brother's thoughts- a playful smirk crossed over an identical pale face. "Nothing is wrong with me! I'm perfectly fine~ See~" He shifted on the couch and moved towards his younger twin. His smirk soon turned devilish as he closed in on his brother who closed the book in his hands and used it to smack his brother with it. "You're so damn annoying!" He growled lowly in response to his brother recoiling back in slight pain. The older held his right cheek, a cute pout came across his face- that look didn't suit him at all. "Virgil! Your so mean!" Came a childish reply from the older twin. The younger man now known as Virgil stopped himself from rolling his eyes at his brother, "Honestly, Dante... How in the hell can you be older than me?" He spoke in his usual cold voice before heading over towards a book shelf to search for another book. He was trying to figure out how to break this curse. The now known elder- Dante just huffed silently and laid down on the couch. He took up the whole midsection. His long dark red slack covered leg hung off of the midsection- his black knee high leather boot was resting on the floor while the other dangled off of the arm rest. "I don't know? Maybe it's because I was born first~" He said in a sing song voice- another heavy sigh left Virgil's thin lips. Tonight was going to be a very long night. Lady.Taser
Tossing and turning on the rough inn bed Galen slept fitfully, dreams of blood and darkness, of joy and happiness intermingled and blended until he couldn't tell one from the other. Flashes of colour, light and dark, opposites, all different aspects of the dreams he couldn't decipher, these dreams continued through the night and didn't release their hold on him until near dawn when he awoke. Rising from the bed Galen found himself pressing his fingers firmly against his temples to try and relieve pressure on the headache he could already feel forming. The town was quiet but not deserted as the sun started to fill the streets, weakly illuminating the inn and he chose to head down stairs and see what food was available for breakfast and try to find out how long until he could buy the goods he needed. A few hours later, probably around mid-morning he still had no more information however he'd had enough time to restock. A reasonably large amount of preserved meat and a few herbs in case there were none he could use on his travel, some new, empty vials and basic dried plants from the apothecary so that he could make more potions if he had the time to stop. Some of those vials he had filled with fresh water as he didn't know where the nearest water source would be once he got in there and then he had water-skin full of water which he would carry outside of the bag for easier access. Looking over his purchases he was happy enough with what he had and packed it all away. He should probably have replaced his bag and sleeping roll but he didn't have enough coin for those as well. With little farewell or fanfare he left the town of Windlebrug, heading towards the forest. Some of the townsfolk saw where he was headed and tried to warn him off, however he still continued. A few hours later, probably about noon or just after he reached the edge of the forest. A few more plants now in the top of his bag as he collected while walking and Galen paused looking up, examining the black trees. Taking a deep breath he walked straight in between the trees and kept moving in as straight a line as possible until he needed a break. Using the pause to take a drink Galen mused about what he seeing, or barely seeing as the case was and whether or not he was travelling in circles. He had come into the forest from the east and towards the west, if it hadn't been so dark he could have used the sun to track his direction, however without it it he spoke clearly though an incantation, a slight variation on one first taught by his mother to both Giana and him. The original was how to find him if they were ever lost, and this variation was to direct him in the cardinal direction he chose. It didn't provided any fancy lights or spectacular displays of magic. Galen now had a distinctive tugging in his chest, as if he was now being pulled in the westerly direction. It allowed him to continue for a while longer before he needed another rest and needed to stop for food as well as thought and water.
yin_yang_lover
Prowling through the dark forest was a black sleeked form of a wolf- its snot was high in the air, it had just caught a rather delicious scent. It's muzzle was pulled back in a hungry snarl. The beast took off in the direction of the smell. It's heavy paws were digging into the mystical ground of the forest- twigs snapped under its large weight. The scent was getting closer and closer, just then- it came to a stop; keeping to the shadows. It's sharp golden eyes locked onto the most breath taking sight it had ever seen. Sitting in the clearing of the forest was a young male, taking a break from his travels. But- what really caught the beasts attention was that intoxicating smell. It was so pure and innocent, that it made its muzzle pull back yet again only this time it was a smaller and more seductive growl. The beasts ears twitched on top of its head every so often- listening to the sounds that echoed all around it. It's eyes never wavering from the beauty before it. A silent thought crossed its mind; I have to tell my brother about this... Human... (Sorry if my reply is so short dear... =/)
Lady.Taser
Sitting in the clearing, leaning against the trunk of a large, ancient tree Galen looked up. He wondered whether the sun was still trying to penetrate through the thick layer of black leaves and for that mater why were the trees even black. It was a strange phenomenon, there was definitely something supernatural about this forest he just couldn't place what exactly. With a smile Galen pushed up of the ground, humming as he grabbed his haversack and heaved it back onto his back. Without letting up the humming he continued travelling west, he didn't know how much more of the forest there was and while he didn't feel in danger Galen didn't think it would be wise to rest for too long in any one place. Treading carefully so that he didn't trip over any roots or bushes he made it through a particularly thick patch of trees and he gained a couple of scratches on his face. One of which welled blood at a very slow rate, not enough for him to stop and get out something to cover it but enough to be irritating when he wiped his arm across his face and blood soaked into his sleeve. Galen pushed himself onward through the forest, not seeing an end to the darkness until eventually he couldn't bring himself to walk anymore. His legs ached and felt as lead when he tried to walk, his haversack feeling like it was pulling him down. Galen didn't have a clue how long he's walked since his last break but he knew he had to sleep now so he set his bag down against an indent of a tree trunk, closed his eyes and set up a warning circle. It was only a few feet out in any direction, but if anything with the intention to do him harm stepped into the area he would wake up. Once he had set it up he pulled his sleeping roll out of the bag and using the bag as a pillow tried to sleep, falling into the same dreams as the night before. (It's fine lol, I hope mine is good ^^ )
yin_yang_lover
The smell of blood filled the air- the beast of the woods stopped treading in its tracks after the young male, it was curious and slightly hungry to have a taste of that sweet smelling blood. Its paws paused, the slick black body of the wolf came to a halt. It's golden colored eyes narrowed; it could sense the warning circle. It knew now that this human was special, hn... how interesting... It thought before turning away and running off towards the edge of the forest. Leaning against a blackened tree stood a tall figure dressed in noblemen clothing. A dark navy blue button down shirt clung onto the muscular frame of the tall man, a very board expression crossed over his handsome pale features. His sharp blood red eyes caught sight of the black wolf. A thin white eyebrow rose up in an interested like fashion. His once board expression soon turned playful. He could even smell the blood in the air, it was making him quite parched. Bones started to crack back into place- the wolf started to stand on its hind legs. Its body was hunched slightly- it was slowly taking human form. After a few more cracks of bone were heard; a figure of a pale naked body was seen. "Hmm... Do you have my clothing...?" A harsh tone of voice left the mouth of a handsome male with loose short wavy black shoulder length hair. His gold eyes held slight pain in them- it always hurt when he transformed... The pale haired male chuckled lightly- resting in his arms were in fact the others clothing. He handed the pieces one at a time over to the other male. Once he was fully dressed he too leaned on a tree, opposite of his brothers. A fair few feet were between the two males. "Did you find-" Before the white haired male could finish his sentence, his brother answered him. "Yes... I did... But- the human is resting the forest... A warning circle is around him..." He said in a tone of voice that sounded like he was intrigued for the first time in his life. Dante chuckled in a playful kind of way. "Oh? This should be interesting... Well... Come brother... Let us prepare for our little mouse..." Another chuckle left the snowy white haired males throat yet again before turning away from the edge of the forest with his brother walking after him, pondering what will happen once their prey comes... Lady.Taser
The dreams faded into darkness, reaching out a hand he couldn’t see Galen started to run. He could feel himself talking, yelling but he couldn’t hear anything as the void pulled all light, all sound away from him and his run slowed to a walk. Legs giving out underneath him as Galen collapsed to his knees. It scared him, the despair in the dark, the wrongness in the feeling that it gave him and he screamed, trying to break the dream, break the silence that felt deafening. In a burst of bright white he heard himself, his body jolting forward and the scream echoing back to him in the forest. Breathing heavily Galen rubbed his hand and the back of his neck trying to make sense of everything. The same dreams two nights following, the dark and despair that came after the dream. Once his breathing calmed and his heart slowed back to a normal pace Galen got up to continue moving. More determined than before to finish making his way through the forest. Galen didn’t bother with trying to find any plants any more, concentrating on the direction he was headed in and moving as quickly as he could, using the exercise to put the dream to the back of his mind. It worked as long as he was moving and it meant that he made good time across the forest. Despite his moving faster it still took several more breaks and rests before he neared the edge of the forest and his final stop in the forest was for food. To save time he was only eating the travelling food that he had, hoping that there would be some way to replenish it once he was out the other side.
