Chapter 5 pages 37, 38 & 41 several frames aren't the same. And it changes a lot the atmosphere. In a version, one is kind of humoristic whereas the other one is really fluffy, sweet. Since mangakas are on a tight deadline when their mangas are being serialized, they may not have the time to create the kind of content or quality which they want. The tankoubon, which comes out later once the manga has finished serialization, gives the mangaka the room to make changes or improvements. Usually these are minor things like a few panels here and there, though in rare cases, it has happened that the mangaka creates an alternate ending or brings in elements that completely changes the story.
