The god smiled softly when Shinseina came to him, he openly welcomed the other male into his arms, happily. Shizen was happy that Shinseina trusted him enough to hold him and warm him. Shinseina even allowed him to shed half of his kimono, which he was currently doing. The other male just looked so cold that the god couldn't help but to want to help Shinseina. He was so small and frail... Once he shed the top of his kimono, Exellius allowed Shinseina to lean on him once more. It was quite comforting for god, he longed to have someone in his arms again... He hummed softly, moving his arms around Shinseina's small frame, not too tight for he feared he would snap the other male in half.

Humming in content, Exellius watched Shinseina unleash his hair. It was still damp from the rain yet it was able to keep its beauty. Silky smooth, just as his skin appeared to be. Curiosity took over the god as he moved his arms, adjusting slightly so that one arm was around Shinseina's waist and the other was sort of behind him, allowing the god to run his hand through Shinseina's lovely hair. It was soft and smooth just like he thought. Shizen hummed in approval before speaking, "Your hair is lovely Shinseina, I can tell you take care of it, just like you take care of the garden." Exellius complemented. He was pleased to see that the other, by now, was no longer shivering. This fact left the god feeling successful, happy to have helped the frail mortal.

It was comforting to be around Shinseina, sharing his warmth with the younger male. Shizen found himself absentmindedly stroking his hand through Shinseina's hair, feeling it. But then the god's brows furrowed as the flower that he had put in Shinseina's hair started to... glow? It was unwinding itself to the point it fell out of Shinseina's hair and onto his lap, still glowing, changing form...

It was no longer a pretty rare flower... but it became a white rose and bloomed right then and there without Exellius' direct contact.

Exellius hummed in utter confusion as well as surprise, "That's new... But it's beautiful, don't you think?" The god reached for the flower, gently picking it up and offering it to Shinseina. "Here..."

Even though he felt the arm of the god move, one wrapping around his waist, and the other behind him, he feels the fingers that belonged to one of Shizen's hand run through his hair, making him sit completely still, though at the same time he was relaxed, calm. "Thank you...I do not do much with my hair really, it just is like that naturally..." He murmurs to the comment that was made to how soft and silky his raven locks felt to the god.

Relaxing there, with the god gently stroking his hair, was enough to lull Shinseina in to a half sleep, his body resting comfortably up against Shizen's. His eyes were closing slowly, and his breathing began to slow down as he begins to become even more relaxed. Through half closed eyes he looked at the flower that had suddenly fallen into the god's lap, noticing how it was glowing ever so softly.

He watches as it changed from the rare flower to a beautiful white rose, blooming fully right there in his lap, the faintest of smiles upon his lips, one of his hands reaching for it, his fingertip brushing gently against a petal. "Yes...it is quite beautiful...thank you..." He murmurs quietly, taking the flower from the god's hand, holding it close to his chest. "I'm getting tired..." He closes his eyes then, and within seconds, falls asleep resting against Shizen, breathing softly and quietly, his long lashes resting against his faint pink cheeks.

He didn't stir for quite some time, and hours pass, how many none could really know, but if they looked outside they'd see that the rain had let up to a faint misting, and the sky was dark, the sun setting, and stars starting to shine in the deep blue expanse.

The god could barely hear Shinseina thank him before the young male fell fast asleep. The poor thing must have been tired... but that was okay. Shizen was just happy to have been able to help Shinseina... Really he was...

He let him sleep, resting his head against him.

Meanwhile the god sat there with a human sleeping against him. He could help but to feel happy... because it was then that the god decided to reflect back on some of his past. During the times when he wasn't in his right mind, his thoughts, his emotions, his heart filled with anger and hate for the one who betrayed him and framed him... The one who caused him great misery. Someone he had fallen for... no, mistaken their kindness for love... He had foolishly mistaken the 'kindness' he was given... And once the other didn't get what he wanted, Exellius paid a great price for it...

Misery... Hate... Suffering... Even death followed suit. The very moment the blade pierced his skin, Exellius could not contain himself. The betrayal cut him deeper than the actual wound. He hurt deeper, emotionally, one wound he thought he would never get rid of... Shizen hoped that time would allowed him to recover... But no, it still felt like the wound was still bleeding, draining him... leaking out like the his energy was right now. Everything he had ever cared for at the time, swiped away from him with a single slice of a blade.

As the thoughts came to Exellius, his brows furrowed and a small frown settled onto his face. How could he have been so foolish? So naive? Loving mortal was a foolish thing for a god to do... However, Shizen couldn't help but to be attracted to them. Most were just naive themselves. They could not help it.

He could not help it.

The god was so naive. He should know that human were forbidden to him. They were not good to him. He didn't deserve to be treated this way. They didn't respect him...

Yet...

As Exellius glanced down, looking at the small form curled into his side... He couldn't simply hate Shinseina. No. If anything... the god appreciated him, adored him, liked him... There was something about Shinseina that the god couldn't put into words... Shinseina was just... he was many things...

And the god couldn't be more happier to have been summoned other than by Shinseina... Even at a time when he didn't want to be summoned, he would have been very happy to have Shinseina's company... In fact, a part of Exellius wanted to say that he was healing just from his presence... And the god found himself slowly attaching himself to the younger male, despite only meeting him today... It had been so long, so very long, since he had company... How he longed for it... Ached for it... To have someone to finally talk to... Someone to hold, if but a glimpse of his life...

Oh, how he wanted to tell Shinseina everything... How happy he was... His emotions. His power. His past...

Exellius brushed his hand through Shinseina's hair, softly, moving it out of the way to see his sleeping face... Just how long had it been since he last had someone sleep beside him? So long... So empty inside...

"Please rest... Shinseina..." He whispers to the younger form that laid fast asleep. "I'll protect you... I promise..." He said as his hand brushes through Shinseina's hair once more...

After a while, the god too starts to doze off, but before he does so, he grows vines... They grow, bending around their sleeping forms, followed by leaves sprouting. It was a makeshift blanket for extra warmth. After all, he want Shinseina to be as comfortable as possible...

"Good night Shinseina... Sleep well..."

It was just a dream...but it seemed so real. It was him, standing there. Looking back. He was staring at himself. Himself now, looking at some other form of himself, but he was different. He had white hair, red eyes, and tails...in his hand was what looked like a fox mask. It made no sense, and yet there he was, staring at a near mirror reflection of himself, only looking like this... Just what was going on? Was this a vision? If so, what was going to happen? He knew not, and deep in his mind he was sure that he was better off not knowing the answer.

Shifting slightly against Shizen, Shinseina sighs softly in his sleep, curling up even closer, savoring the warmth that he was receiving from the god's body. The vines that acted as a blanket were comfortable as well, and the night went by, Shinseina untouched by the cool air that came with it. His hand had found a bit of the kimono in which the god was wearing, and his fingers curled around it, holding it close to himself, as if for protection.

When the morning came, clear skies and the sun arrived with it. Light filtered through the windows of the shrine in which they'd stayed the night, and gently warms Shinseina's face. Slowly he opens his eyes, everything blurry and distorted at first, but after blinking a couple of times, he could see clearly. For a moment he forgot where he was, and only then did he realize, staying frozen for a moment, that he was in the shrine.

But...who was he laying against? They were so warm, and smelled so good. Like a garden full of flowers. He carefully turns his head, and when he saw the person's face, recognition flowed through him. It was Shizen. He then realizes that he was covered in what looked like a blanket made of vines. A soft smile forms on his face, and he touches one of the leaves. It was so...intricate. Perfectly grown and beautiful.

What he didn't realize though, was as he'd slept in the the god's lap that night, a change was beginning to form deep within him, a change that would altar his life forever. Coming into contact with Shizen had ultimately flipped the switch, and every moment he was in the god's presence, the process kept happening. Over the night, his hair had slightly become lighter, no longer a deep raven in color. Instead it seemed to turn in to a deep brown black, with a silver sheen to it.

"Shizen?" He murmurs, reaching up, cupping the god's face with his hand. "Are you awake?" His eyes gazed deeply at the god, searching his face. Shinseina wondered what was to become of this.

For half of the night, the god didn't dream about anything, however, for the other half of the night Shizen dreamed about white flowers blooming...

At first he was gazing at a field of flowers, then all of sudden they each started blooming white. Now, Exellius didn't really know what to think about this because he had never had a dream like this before. Then the god blinked and the white flowers suddenly became blood stained, dripping fresh blood off of their petals like rain. The god blinked again and then he found himself in the middle of the field, saddened by the sight. For some reason he felt like he had done this... And the most horrifying thing happened just then, the flowers around him... stopped blooming, to be exact they seemed to be dying... right at his own feet. Much to his horror everything started to wilt around him, literally the ground around him turned gray.

It was a nightmare...

But then he heard his name being called. He had recognized the voice. It was Shinseina. His brows furrowed as he turned, seeing the other male run towards him. The god however faltered and took a step back, not wanting to hurt the other male... He wasn't sure if he could control himself. "No... Don't come near me, Shinseina, please." He warned, however Shinseina didn't seem to care about what the god had said because he was still running towards him. "I don't want to hurt you." The god said once Shinseina was within several feet of distance, Shinseina was now taking cautious steps towards him.

"You won't." Shinseina says, "I trust you." And that was all he needed to say for the god to let him come close enough, he let the mortal embrace him even though he was still nervous. "It's okay, Exellius."

It's okay... It's okay... Those words echoed through the god's head. He truly wanted it to be okay... Shinseina felt safe even though Exellius felt like it wasn't good for the younger male to be near him. The effect was immediate, he couldn't help but to feel comforted by Shinseina. So the god found himself closing his eyes, relaxing, taking a deep breath, calming down and wrapping his arms around the younger male. "..Thank you Shinseina, for trusting me, for believing in me... Thank you."

"You're welcome..." He heard Shinseina respond.

Finally, when the god opened his eyes again, he realized that the flowers were blooming around him again, more specifically, both of them...

When it was morning, that's when the god stirred, awoken by a familiar voice, his own face not expressing what had happened in his dream. Shizen had to blink the sleep out of his eyes. He would have thought he had imagined what happened yesterday... But no, he was glad to have woken up with Shinseina by his side. What happened yesterday was not a dream, and because of that, the god was happy. "Good morning, Shinseina." Exellius greeted, not minding to be awoken by the younger male.

It was then he realized that Shinseina was sitting on his lap. That was an interesting site for the god, for, he hadn't had anyone sit on his lap in forever, children, wounded, someone her cared for, and furthermore... He found it comforting and warm, especially with the help of the sun that was rising.

"Did you sleep well?" The god asked softly, brows furrowed as his hand brushed through the younger males' hair, specifically his fingers found themselves looping around a silver strand of hair, bringing it forward for examination. "Look, your hair has changed..." He commented. It was no longer the beautiful raven colored hair it once was. It was a dark brown with a silver stand, though still fairly beautiful.

Watching closely, his eyes focused on the god's face, a smile forms upon Shinseina's lips as Shizen woke, and upon waking, greeting him in such a kind way. Asking if he had slept well, caring about him. "I, well I slept well enough..." He replies, not wanting to talk about the strange vision in which he'd experienced. Just thinking about it made him unsure of what he'd seen within his own mind.

He saw the look upon the god's face, seeing the furrowed brow, and the look in his eyes. A faint blush forms on his cheeks as a few strands of his hair was taken into Shizen's fingers, the god examining the silken locks. Looking at the hair which Shizen pointed out, he was surprised to see that the hair indeed had turned silver, though it was only a few strands. Staring at the hair, he felt as if time had completely stopped.

A look of complete shock was on his face, eyes filled with disbelief, all color having faded from his cheeks. His heart was now as if still in his chest, and it was getting harder and harder for him to take in any air to his lungs, his breathing becoming quick and shallow. Raising now trembling fingers to his hair, he touches it for himself, as if making sure this was real and not a dream, but the hair in his hand felt real enough.

Shinseina was beginning to feel light headed, and tears stung at his eyes. What was going on? Was his dream an actual reality, had it truly been a vision of his life to come? But what would that mean? What exactly was he? His hand falls into his lap, where he clutches on to the front of his kimono. "I...I want to go back h-home...Sh-Shizen...I'm, um, I'm not...feeling well..." He murmurs, a singe tear drop falling down his cheek.

He wanted to go back, change his clothing, brush out his hair, maybe take a bath in the hot springs...Relax...forget that terrible dream. "Please..." Shinseina whispers, falling forward, as if in slow motion, his head resting on Shizen's chest, the rest of him slumped limply against the god. The realization of everything that was going seemed to have gotten to the young prince, and it was taking it's toll on his health.

The god had watched as, right before him, Shinseina blushed. He was beautiful at that moment, however, very suddenly his cheeks had paled and he looked quite faint. At the request to go home Shizen was about to ask what was wrong but before he could, Shinseina collapsed and fell against him. Worry swept through Shizen. How did Shinseina get so ill so fast? Did it have to do with his hair changing its appearance? Perhaps from the rain yesterday?

Well, whatever had caused it, made Exellius panic. Shinseina did mention being so frail, but the god hadn't think he would suddenly collapse. He knew not of ways to heal Shinseina, he wasn't familiar with medicine. Exellius was a god of nature, nothing more, nothing less... Shizen couldn't just leave Shinseina like this, he had to fulfill his request. So the god shifted, being mindful of the unconscious body in his arms, pulling on the top half of his kimono, then quickly adjusting himself so he could get up and pick up Shinseina as well. The god carried Shinseina in his arms this time, holding him close to his chest, much like yesterday when it rained. "Don't worry Shinseina, I have you now... I'll take you home."

Unknown to most humans, the god actually had a poor sense of direction. However, it wasn't that hard to follow a path, blooming with flowers. Usually, if the god did know which way to go or where to go, he would listen to the whispers of the plants around him. It was either that or whenever he was summoned he could go to where he was summoned. Shizen had always had this pull. He could just... 'sense' it.

Now that he was approaching Shinseina's home, Shizen just came to the realization that he would have to show himself to other mortals. That fact both excited the god and made him nervous. Would they greet him with open arms like Shinseina? Or would they be frightened of him? Or worse yet, would they take Shinseina and not permit him access to see him again? Never the less, whatever the outcome may be, the god wanted to fulfill Shinseina's wish to bring him home. After all, the god was truly worried both for Shinseina and for his health.

So when the god finally reached the inner garden, he didn't take the time to look around, his goal was to get to Shinseina's home. While he didn't recall how long it took for him to get there, he felt like it was too long... He wished he could have been more help to Shinseina... Then he spotted someone, a maiden who was about to walk inside. Shizen called out to her, "Excuse me, maiden, please help." He said as his pace slowed, flowers were still blooming at his feet.

He watched as the woman, jaw dropped, looked at the god, then at the body his his arms, the at the ground where the flowers bloomed, and then finally back at the god again. "Come."

All the while, being picked up by the god, being carried by him, Shinseina was in a fevered state, barely aware what was going on around him, just faintly picking up on the fact that they were leaving the shrine in which they'd stayed the night, and were on the move. He could feel how careful the arms that were carrying him were being, how gently they were treating his frail body, as if he were made of glass, able to shatter at any given moment, or if treated poorly.

Just as they reached the main garden, Shinseina could not hold on to consciousness any longer, and with a whispered "Thank you..." To Shizen, he passes out, eyes closing completely. At that same moment, one of the main servants, or maidens as they preferred to be called, steps out into the garden, a frantic look in her eyes. The whole household had been up looking for him, and when she saw that the young crown prince was being carried by a complete stranger, she felt like she was going to have a heart attack.

However, she gets over her shock quickly, and motions for Shizen to follow her, guiding him to the 'palace' as it were, heading straight to Shinseina's quarters, where she instructed him to set the young male upon his bed, which was lain out on the floor. Reaching to the side, she pulls out a simple, yet elegant kimono, which had a light floral design on it. Undoing the kimono in which Shinseina was wearing, the maiden pulls it off of his body, handing it to the man whom she knew not was a god. "Here. I'm not going to make you leave, as I've questions for you. So for now you can help."

The young prince's body was, in a lack of words, perfection. Like pale ivory, it was flawless, a rare jewel among stones. No scars touched his body, no flaws could be seen. He wasn't exceptionally fit, as he was quite thin, but that in itself was beauty. Just from looking at it, one could guess just how soft his skin was. The young woman tending to him than puts the kimono on his body, before covering it with a blanket. She undoes his hair, brushing it out and then braiding it into a simple braid, tying it in place with a silk ribbon.

As she was doing this, she asks a few questions. "Where did you find him? Who are you? Was he like this when you found him?" As she'd finished, she stands up, bowing slightly in thanks. "Beside the point, thank you for bringing the prince back to us. We were worried that something had happened." Turning her eyes to Shinseina, who lay there sleeping, a wet cloth upon his brow, she sighs softly. "It's not like him to just stay out over night... He knows how awfully cold it gets here during the night...and what with how frail and sickly he is, staying out in the cold will just get him sick."

She pauses, and turns her eyes to Shizen. "Since you brought the prince back safely, I'm not going to make you leave. You may stay until he wakes, though I must insist you let him have his rest...And if you need anything there should be someone nearby if you should call. Please, can I trust you?" She looks at him intently, and once she got the answer she was waiting for, bows low in thanks once more, before leaving the room, so it was just Shinseina and the god.

The god was happy to have escorted, carried, Shinseina inside. He was also happy that the maiden was allowing him to help, he understood that he was a stranger to the home. That little echo of Shinseina saying 'thank you' replayed in his mind. He wanted to say that this was nothing, he didn't mind helping the fail boy at all. Exellius rather enjoyed helping, he enjoyed bring a smile on other's faces. A kind god he was, perhaps a little too caring...

As the maiden lead the way, he followed quietly, and hurriedly along. He didn't want to disappoint. Luckily now, he could control himself enough that he wasn't blooming flowers in the house. He thought that would be rude... Finally, they made it to, what the god thought was Shinseina's room. It was. The god new for he saw the flower he had given Shinseina the night he had visited. It warmed the god up to see it. Truly, it made him happy...

Many blessings for Shinseina...

That thought ran through his mind as he laid the frail male down upon his bed. Then Shizen watch the maiden get to work, switching out Shinseina's old kimono with a beautiful floral, clean kimono. The god waited there quietly, patiently and worriedly, as he watched her change the kimono and braid his hair. Shizen didn't think it would be wise for him to intervene yet... The god just stood there, absorbing, taking in the beauty that was Shinseina.

Then the god found himself being questioned, well he thought it was okay, he was a stranger after all... Though it was news to him that Shinseina was a prince. Perhaps that was the reason of his beauty? No, there was something special about Shinseina, something more... The god just couldn't put his finger on it. But, first, he answered the maidens questions, truthfully and honesty as there was no reason to lie. "You may call me Shizen, for I am the god of Nature... Shinseina had summoned me the other day... When we met again yesterday, we traveled out and he showed me his beautiful garden... However, once we were far enough it began to rain. I helped him seek shelter... We rested at a shrine. So forgive me for keeping him out for so long... He had mentioned his frailness and I hope he can forgive me for allowing him to fall ill. I know not of medicine, though I can provide herbs if need be. I also hope you can forgive me for keeping your prince out..." That was all the god could offer at the moment.

Exellius gave a little bow, acknowledging and thanking the maiden for her generosity to let him stay. He didn't think he would need anything, however he didn't decline her. "Thank you for your hospitality... And no worries, I'll look over him as he rests. I won't disturb him from his slumber, you have my word."

Once he got his reply, the god watched the maiden bow and leave. Now it was just him and the other male, sleeping soundlessly. Shizen decided to pull up a chair, quietly bringing it to the bedside, close enough that he could reach the sleeping form on the bed. With brows furrowed, the god stared at Shinseina. Mentally, he hoped that Shinseina would forgive him, and next time warn him. While Exellius had been aware that Shinseina was frail, he hadn't assumed this frail. So next time, he would insist that Shinseina tell him if he was feeling under the weather. Shizen reached out, carefully, tenderly, brushing strands of hair from Shinseina's sleeping face. He mentally wished for the other male to get better soon, and that he would look after him while he slept.

It was now that he realized his hair had grown out again, long enough to touch and drag on the floor because he was sitting.

"Rest, blossoming flower." He cooed softly, whispering, "I'll watch over you and keep you safe, I promise..." And the god would. He would wait there, if it were days, he'd be patient for Shinseina's awakening.

Taikōhana, the maiden that had taken care of Shinseina, was quite confused at that moment as she walked down the hallway. Was this Shizen really a god? The god of nature, or something like that? Was it true? Had Shinseina summoned that man? Shaking her head, she brushes away any doubts that the man might have caused. The only thing that truly mattered was that he'd brought back the prince. And, from the look of it, he was still in good shape, albeit being sick at that moment. She knew that he would be up and back to normal in no time at all. Though, as she briskly walked along, she thought back to how his hair had looked, recalling that it wasn't quite as dark as it normally was, and she could have sworn she'd seen some silvery streaks within it.

Sighing softly, she simply shakes her head again, before finding another servant and telling them that the prince was back and everything was fine. She then ordered the people in the kitchen to make something for Shinseina to eat once he woke up, as she was quite sure he was famished from missing dinner the other evening. Even if this Shizen fellow tried anything, he wouldn't get too far, as there was two guards keeping a close eye on that room for any signs of disturbance, but from the look she'd seen in his eyes...he seemed to be genuinely kind, caring, and a gentle soul. She knew that he would allow Shinseina to get the rest he needed. And as he rested, sleeping deeply, he was once again plagued by that same vision, only it was much more vivid this time.

Same white hair, aura around him that was just not normal...His back was turned, so that he could not see his face. He was doing something, surrounded by a field of red flowers. But, as he knelt among those flowers, he came to realize that the blossoms were not indeed red...Reaching out, running his finger along one of the petals, he pulls his hand back to see that some of the red had come off onto his skin. Narrowing his eyes, he raises his hand to eye level. His eyes widen when he realizes what this was. These were, in fact, not red flowers...No they were pure white, stained crimson...painted red with blood.

Looking down now, he felt as if he were going to be sick. The front of the kimono he was wearing was splattered with the same crimson red blood that was dripping off the blossoms of the fields, and suddenly he turns. There were tiny flecks of blood upon his cheeks, and his eyes...his eyes were dangerous and lethal looking. His hands were now dripping with it as well, and the ground at his feet was soaked, so much so that it seeped through the sandals he wore. "WHAT'S GOING ON?!?!" He screams, sharp teeth glinting as he screamed, his face turned to the sky, tears falling down his cheeks, making the blood run.

He had to get away. He couldn't stand it any longer. He began to run, and as he did trees rose up, the branches reaching out to him like hands, thorns clawing at his arms and legs like fingernails, tearing his clothing, scratching his skin, so that his own blood mixed and mingled with the field of it that he was running through. Soon though, the field turned into something else, and he was wading through it, like murky water. It rose up, first over his calves, then his knees, and soon his entire lower half was submerged. It didn't take long until he was up to his neck in blood, beginning to cover his face, first his mouth, then his nose, and lastly his eyes. He struggled, but in vain.

Just as he was about to give up, he falls through, straight to solid ground. Coughing and gasping, covered in head to foot in crimson, he gets to his feet, but was too weak to stand. He stumbles and trips, falling. Straight into a pair of legs. He looks up from his place on the ground, but whoever it was that was above him was standing in front of a great light, blinding him, making him close his eyes. But the voice...the voice that spoke to him...he knew that voice. 'I'll watch over you and keep you safe, I promise...' Opening his eyes...he squints, trying to see the face of the person who'd spoken...

He groans softly, and turns his head, eyes slowly opening. Even though it had seemed like such a short time, it had not been. In fact, it had been two whole days and a half a day since arriving. And that whole time he'd been stuck in that nightmare, his physical body had struggling, moving around as he'd done so in his dream. He'd screamed and yelled, his skin burning with a fever. A drop of sweat trails down the side of his face, and he was surprised to see who was sitting there next to him.

"Shizen...?" He murmurs, grimacing as he struggled to sit up. His hair, which had slightly come undone from the braid it had been it, stuck to his sweaty skin. His head felt as if it was going to explode at any moment, and his stomach was an empty pit, feeling as if ravens clawing at the inside, trying to find food. "Did you...call out to me?"

Exellius had sat there, resting upon the chair he sat. He had found the scroll that was hidden in Shinseina's other kimono, luckily before it was taken to be washed. The scroll now rest within the sleeve of the god's own kimono. At first, he thought that Shinseina would awaken soon... But however that was not so. The day rolled on into the night, stirring worry within the god. It broke his heart to see the mortal break into a fit while he dreamed, there wasn't much Shizen could do to calm the human. Shinseina's cries even startled the guards outside, they would come in to see Shinseina screaming, and Exellius looking distraught.

He couldn't watch the younger male suffer so much, and even if he was dreaming, Exellius wanted to help... It was puzzling though, because Exellius couldn't fathom anyway to help Shinseina while he dreamed. The only thing that came to the god's mind was to replace the cloth on his forehead. The poor thing had a high fever and desperately needed to cool down. So Exellius would use cold water on the cloth, then replace it upon Shinseina's forehead. As he did so, Exellius would move strands of Shinseina's hair out of the way, taking notice that his hair was slowly becoming lighter. "I'll watch over you and keep you safe, I promise..." When his hands would come into contact with Shinseina, he noticed how the younger male would suddenly get calmer. Knowing this fact made Exellius feel relieved and he opt to do it again if need be.

When day one passed, Exellius not much happened other than Shinseina screaming again. Shizen made sure to comfort him the best he could. Often he would simply replace the cloth several times a day, wipe away the sweat that had formed on his face, and coo comforting words to Shinseina, hoping that somehow he would hear him. It seemed to work, because Shinseina would revert to his calmness soon after...

All this free time gave the god time to reflect about his past, some time to look around even though he wouldn't leave Shinseina's room. He was offered food at some point, which he declined, he wasn't reliant on food. However, he did ask for more water. Despite not being reliant on food, water did help his energy. Exellius even opened one of the doors that lead to the outside because the sun felt good on his skin... He was the God of Nature, thus, he had plant-like qualities. Exellius knew that he could live without both for the most part, but he would be of low energy.

Once day two passed, Shinseina's room was blossoming vines and flowers, cutesy of the god. The chair he was sitting had grown vines, flowers blooming at its ends. Even Shinseina's bed had vines around the edges. The room was starting to have the fragrance of flowers. It still worried the god deeply that the mortal hadn't awakened yet... He would soon starve to death if he did not wake soon...

Finally, after two days and a half day, the god noticed Shinseina was starting to move again, a groan escaping him. At first he thought Shinseina was going to have another screaming episode... However, much to his delight and complete relief, he heard Shinseina call his name. He even could make eye contact with him. Oh, how happy the god was to see that his summoner had returned to him. "Shinseina... You're awake?" He said in disbelief, standing then leaning over Shinseina, pushing him gently back down onto the bed. "No, no, you must rest..." He said calmly, "Tell me what you need and I'll get it for you."

Once Shinseina was laying back down the god nodded, "I did... I worried about you Shinseina and I am relived to see that you have come back to me. I stayed, waiting for two days and it is just past noon now, waiting for you to wake up." He said as his hand brushed through Shinseina's now grey hair. Shinseina went through some interesting changes with he was asleep. One noticeable change was that his hair was no longer black... Then suddenly the god leaned forward, slowly and calmly, pressing his forehead against Shinseina's, "Welcome back..." Getting the contact he so longed for, Exellius felt satisfied and pulled away just enough to look at Shinseina's face, "Surely you must be hungry after your slumber, shall I call for food and water?"

His body did not resist the hands of the god, and he sinks back against the bed, head resting once more upon the pillow. Glancing around the room, he was surprised at the transformation that had taken place, seeing all the vines and flowers and growth. In his opinion, it was quite beautiful, and he wouldn't have it any other way. Shinseina hears as Shizen speaks, picking up on the concern and caring in his voice. He couldn't help but feel warmth inside. As the god went on speaking, he was surprised to hear that Shizen had indeed been calling to him in his dreams, saying that he'd stayed by his side for two entire days, and they were already half way through a third before he'd woken up.

"I..." He was about to speak, when suddenly Shizen moves forward, closing the distance between them, pressing their foreheads together, as a mother and son might do to show affection. A faint smile forms upon his lips as the god welcomed him back. "Thank you...It definitely is good to be back..." His voice was a soft murmur, and he raises his eyes to look back into Shizen's, listening to the question that was asked next. "Yes, I am actually...But before you do, I have something else that I must ask of you. I'm rather uncomfortable in this kimono, and would like to change it..."

He smiles a bit more. "If you would, can you get a kimono from my wardrobe out. I'll change into it when you go to talk to the maidens in the kitchen for something to eat..." That wasn't actually what he intentionally had in mind to ask, but he couldn't find the courage to actually speak the question he'd been wanting to. Shinseina was pretty sure that the god would not know the answer, even if he had actually asked what he'd had first in mind.

Wincing at that moment, his left eye began to hurt terribly. It automatically shuts from the pain, and his hand goes to cover it as well. It felt as if his entire eye was burning, freezing, and being stabbed with a million needles all at once. After it subsided, he carefully moves his hand away from his eye, and opens it slowly, tearing up from the sudden brightness. For some reason, after mere seconds, his vision in his left eye had become ten times more sensitive, and the afternoon light that was streaming into his room felt as if he were staring straight into the sun. He was unaware at that moment that his left eye was no longer the color of blue-green peacock feathers, but a silvery blue grey, his pupil not that of a normal round one, but shaped in that of a star with many points.

"Ouch...that hurt..." He mutters, smiling faintly at Shizen. "Well...that's all I really wanted to ask..." His thumb brushes away a tear drop that had been making it's way down his cheek, staring at it as it rested on the tip of his finger. Just what was going on? At that point in time it was only Shizen who knew of how different Shinseina looked, even the prince was clueless to his own appearance at that moment.

The god watched, a little stunned that Shinseina's eye had changed right before his very eye. The transformation causing him slight pain. It was both a relief to see the mortal smile yet the god knew that Shinseina was in some sort of pain. Shizen simply felt bad for the younger male, he too knew the pain of transforming. It happened every full blue moon, which came in a few occurrences, yet the god must also be in his human form for the transformation to commence. It didn't last long, however... Exellius wouldn't know what form he would take on.

Exellius took Shinseina's hand rubbing the tear away, he hummed. "It seems the old Shinseina has died and a new one is blooming in its place..." Commented the god before he kissed the back of his hand, "May whatever blooms be blessed as well. Then the god released Shinseina's hand, stood up slowly and made his way to the closet where the other kimonos hid. His eyes scanned the inside, he might have been a little bias towards the kimonos he looked at because he only eyed the ones with plant-like patterns. To be more specific, ones with flowers on it. In the end he selected a pale blue kimono, one with vivacious, pink, red and purple flowers. He decided that it would complement Shinseina fairly well. Or perhaps that was just him being a little biased.

Though there was another that had caught his eye. It was a yellow-white, with a green pattern that resembled vines. The god made a mental note of that kimono as well.

Anyway, Shizen had an amused smile as he made his way to Shinseina's bedside, "I'm sorry Shinseina, I was a little biased, I hope you don't mind." The god laid the kimono down at the foot of the bed. "I understand you'll want your privacy now. Though I wouldn't have minded growing you some grapes or other fresh fruit." Commented the god, however he wouldn't do against Shinseina's wishes. "I shall return shortly, Shinseina." He bowed slightly, dismissing himself, then suddenly halted. "Ah, I do believe I have something of yours." He said as he pulled out the scroll Shinseina used to summon him. He laid it on top of the kimono. "Please do take care of it." Then Shizen officially dismissed himself.

Making his way out of the room, he closed the door behind him. He addressed the guard outside to lead him to the maiden he had met earlier. It made him uncomfortable to leave Shinseina's size, however, again, he wouldn't go against what Shinseina wanted. So here he was, walking with a guard quietly and heading towards the maiden. Once they reached her, Exellius addressed her politely, "Maiden, Shinseina has awoken. He has requested food while he changes into a new kimono. That is all. Oh, and his form is almost all the way different by now, do not be alarmed."

Blinking when the tear falling down his cheek was brushed away, he looks straight into Shizen's eyes when the god spoke, wondering just what the man meant with what he was saying. Despite the confusion that it caused deep within him, the words that were spoken were kind, and made him feel as if he were truly cared for by Shizen. Thinking this made a small smile form on his lips, and he watched as the god moved to the wardrobe in which his kimono were held, wondering what he would chose for the prince to wear.

It was a moment or two before the god returned with a pale blue kimono, with a mixture of pink, red, and purple flowers on it. Shinseina smiles as it was brought over to him, shaking his head at the comment that the god made about how it might be a biased opinion as to why he'd chosen that particular kimono. "No, it is quite alright that you chose this one. Many of my kimono are much like this, you need not worry about that. In fact, I highly enjoy the ones with floral designs or any that have something to with nature on the print." His eyes continued to follow the others' movements, slightly inclining his head when the god bowed to him, his eyes widening in surprise when the scroll in which he'd called forth the god from was set on top of the kimono.

"I...I will..." He promises, and watches as Shizen leaves the room. Sighing softly, he stands, a bit weak in the knees from not having used them for nearly three days, but manages to get undressed. Slipping on the clean kimono, he ties it up, adjusting the ribbon around his waist so it felt more comfortable, and sat down again, picking up the emerald green shell comb he used for his hair, combing it out before putting it up, his style not quite as detailed and intricate as when Taikōhana did it, but it still looked quite nice. His bangs hung down his forehead, and a bit of his hair hung loosely by his ears. For ornaments he used a red and white thin twisted rope, and a cluster of faux butterflies that were a rainbow of color. One of the butterflies had what appeared to be a feathery white tail.

When he was finished with everything, he picks up the scroll, and holds it for a moment in the palm of his hand, before slipping it into the fold of the sash around his waist, tucking it so it would not fall out. And, with that done, he sits down, folding his hands in his lap, and stares out the doorway, his eyes then falling on the flower in the pot which he was sure that Shizen had left for him one night.

Taikōhana looks up from what she was doing, surprised to see that the so called god was walking towards her. Standing up straight, she holds her hands in front of herself, and listens to what the man had to say. A look of relief washes over her face, and she sighs quietly, as if letting go of a breath she'd been holding for a long time. Though the look on her face was soon replaced by one of confusion when the god finished speaking, wondering what he meant by how the prince's form is different. Did something happen? "Alright, I will bring something from the kitchens. You can return to the room in the mean time. It should not take too long for the food to be ready..."

With that, she turns in a dismissive manner, heading towards the kitchen. Her mind wander as her feet moved her forward, but shook the thoughts aside when she reached the kitchen. "Get food ready. The prince has awoken and requests something to eat." The maidens inside scramble to do what they were told, and within little time at all a tray of delicious looking food was fixed. Taking it in her hands, Taikōhana heads back towards the prince's room, bracing herself for the so called transformation, wondering just what had happened.

After delivering the message Shizen dismissed himself, having the guard escort him back to Shinseina's room. Luckily they automatically did that, otherwise he was sure he wouldn't find his way back for a while... Though, now that he thought about it, he did have a pull towards the scroll... And maybe Shinseina. He was his summoner this time so it made sense.

Once he arrived at Shinseina's door, he thanked the guard and carried on. Knocking before entering, the god called Shinseina's name, "Shinseina, I am back." He paused once he saw the other fully dressed into the kimono that he had picked. That god had to admit, it looked perfect on him. "The maiden will send you food shortly..." He said as he approached the younger male, a soft smile on his face. Yes, the kimono was perfect, or at least that's what the god thought. Plus the little ornaments in his hair were very complementary. "I feel as though I've chosen wisely, don't you think?" The god hummed, his hand rising up to touch the butterfly on Shinseina's head. "Perhaps I should change too, hm?" Commented the god.

It was then that god retreated his hand, suddenly, and started to glow a purplish hue. Magic before the eyes, his kimono morphed into a new one. It was a darker blue, almost purple color with many colorful flowers on it. His hair that was once bound came undone, the ribbon seemingly falling out of it and vanishing into nothingness. Shizen's hair, now that it had nothing to restrain it, fell almost to floor, about his shins' height. Once the transformation was done, the god hummed, looking at his new fabric, "Yes, this should do... What do you think, Shinseina?" It was a little trick that he learned how to do over the years...

Shizen brushed a hand through his hair. it had been a while since his changed his look and what better timing because Shinseina was also changing his look. Though Exellius might not keep it for long, he often had his hair up so that it wouldn't get in the way of whatever tasks he was trying to do. But for now, this was the look the god wanted.

His mind had just begun to wander, thinking about everything that had started happening, all the changes that were taking place, in such a short amount of time. Even though he'd only known Shizen for a couple of days at most, he felt like a lifetime of happenings had gone on between them, as if years had passed, not just simple hours. Sighing softly, he closes his eyes for a few moments, only until he hears footsteps coming closer to the room in which he was sitting, opening them again when a knock came at the door, before it slides open, revealing Shizen to him, who announced to Shinseina that he was back.

The prince could tell that the god was admiring how well the kimono looked on him, and he smiles. Food was on the way, and he was pleased that Shizen was happy without how he looked. Which, at that thought, made him a bit confused. Why would he, Shinseina, care what the god thought of his appearance? That wasn't important, was it? Pushing the thought out of his mind for the moment, because Shizen had come closer to him. Hearing the question, he smiles and nods gently. He was slightly surprised when the god reaches out and touches the butterflies in which he'd put in his hair, but does not move.

The next question was enough to make Shinseina wonder what the god was going to do. How was he to change, when he had no other clothing to change in to? But that question in his thoughts was answered soon enough, when right before his eyes, the very appearance of the god changed, clothing and hair. When the transformation was complete, Shinseina had a look of awe on his face, his eyes glittering with amazement. He stands up, shakily, and steps forward to the god, reaching out to him, not even really knowing what he was doing at that moment. It was like his body was moving on its' own.

"It's so...beautiful..." He murmurs, his own fingers touching the god's hair, which felt like silk. He let's his fingers run through it, all the while with a mystified expression. Suddenly he turns, and goes to a closet like structure, and pulls out a ornate wooden box, reaching inside, pulling something out, and placing it in the folds of his sleeve. Turning to face the god, he had a smile on his lips. "I have an idea..."

He then instructs the god to turn around, and uses the comb he'd used with his own hair to brush the god's, and when he was finished, he pulls the hair up loosely, at the back of Shizen's head, leaving a few strands falling down the sides of his face. He then pins it in place with what he'd put in his sleeve moments earlier. It was a beautiful dangling hair pin, with a bluish purple flower design. Stepping back, he smiles. "There..." He liked how it looked in the god's hair. "I hope you like it...a gift for you..."

Exellius watched, amused by Shinseina's expression. He was flattered, honestly, and he simply adored the way is face lit up. Shinseina was truly one mortal Exellius would remember... The look of awe on his face, Shizen would remember that face. Shinseina was admittedly cute albeit beautiful. Such beauty could never be reproduced Shizen was sure. Unbeknownst to Shinseina, the god was actually hoping to impress him, which he was glad to see he had did just that. This made the god happy that he could impress him. It was a small gesture.

When he heard Shinseina say 'beautiful' he wasn't quite sure what he was referring to. Exellius stayed quiet as the younger male approached him with unsteady legs. He almost warned him, wanting Shinseina to be careful, however he seemed to have lost his voice when Shinseina approached him. Lips sealed, his eyes watched the mortal touch his hair, so that must have been what he was commenting on. Then he watched as suddenly Shinseina turned away from him and went to the closet. Shizen squinted his eyes, thinking that he saw Shinseina grab something and put it in his sleeve. It was a peculiar sight... and it was even more peculiar when the human asked for him to turn around...

He was skeptical for a moment, slightly hesitant to show his backside... But then he remembered that this was Shinseina, surely he wouldn't be doing anything too horrible... So the god turned his back to the younger male and was shocked to feel a comb going through his hair. A smile made it to the gods face. Oh, how innocent Shinseina was. How could he have thought Shinseina was going to do anything else? Assuming anything negative about Shinseina should have never crossed his mind, however, things that happened in the past caused him to be wary...

Once it was all over, Exellius was happy and enjoyed Shinseina messing with his hair. "Shinseina..." The god started to say as he turned around. There was a spark, a light in his eyes and a small smile on his face. "I don't even know what to say to you. I am speechless at your generosity, it truly baffles me." His hand reached up, gently stroking Shinseina's cheek, "I accept your gift and will treasure it as I treasure you and your presence... You are simply sweeter than any fruit. No flower could bloom like you do because your inner and outer beauty cannot be matched. Such innocence... I humbly stand before you, summoner, in awe and fascination. I find myself happy to have met you and glad fate made it so our paths could cross..."

If he could, at that moment Shizen would have scooped Shinseina right into his arms and pull him into a gentle embrace. He yearned for it so... However he couldn't because that was when the maiden returned with servants and the food Shinseina requested. Shizen dropped his hand from Shinseina's face. He hummed softly, "Go ahead and eat Shinseina, indulge yourself some, I am sure you're hungry."

  • 2 weeks later...

Waiting, bottom lip being bitten softly as he waited for a reply from the god, Shinseina was elated to hear what Shizen said to him after a short moment. A smile that reflected how happy he was began to form upon his face, making it seem almost as if he were glowing from the inside, his eyes shimmering with his excitement. Inside, it felt as if butterflies were fluttering in his stomach, and his heart felt so light with joy, he felt as if he could just float away at any moment from his happiness.

And the words...the words that were coming from the god's mouth...so charming and kind and sweet, as if he'd written them down and rehearsed a million times before speaking them to the prince. But, Shinseina could tell that every thing that was said came from the heart, from that very moment, not from practice, but what the god truly felt that minute, that moment, that spot in time, the precious memory that they were sharing together, and something he'd never ever forget. A faint blush formed when Shizen touched his cheek, there was just something so...alluring about the god, that Shinseina could not quite put a finger to.

"Your words are so kind and beautiful. I'm glad that you liked your gift, and I'm am also glad that you are happy that I was the one to call on you. I'm truly blessed to have been graced with your presence..." He laughs softly, his voice like tinkling bells or a beautiful song bird. If it weren't for the maiden that arrived at that moment he would have leaned forward and hugged the god, but he restrains himself, and smiles brightly. The scent of the food made his stomach gurgle, and he didn't need to be told twice to eat.

Picking up the chopsticks, he begins to eat, first rice, than a few dumplings, before finishing off with noodles. For the last thing, there was fresh fruit and dango on a wooden stick, with a sweet syrup over it. More energy began to fill his body as his stomach was filled, and once he was finished he felt refueled, and ready to go. Setting his chopsticks down, he smiles at Shizen, his fingers wrapped lightly around a forest green cup that was filled with green tea with lemon and ginseng. Taking a sip, he sighs softly, in content.

Looking to the god after a second, he tilts his head slightly. Something just came to mind, about what was going to happen now that he was feeling better. "I...Shizen? What were you planning on doing...you know, now that I am well, and all healed up. If you would like, I could ask the maidens to ready a room for you to stay in here...it could even be in the room next to mine. It's empty at the moment, and has a fantastic view of the gardens..." Blushing again, he looks away, and the next words that came from his mouth were soft spoken and rather shy sounding.

"Plus...It would be nice...to always have you near me...I don't want you to leave. It's nice...having someone to talk to, and spend time with..." His heart was still fluttering from moments before, like the wings of a bird beating softly in his chest. He risks looking up slightly towards the god, his thumbs running gently against the bumped ridges of the cup, and tracing the rim. He hoped that Shizen would accept the offer, because he truly wanted the god to stay there with him.

The god was pleased to see Shinseina eat as he had been slightly worried about his frail health. The room was quiet as Shinseina ate, as if he were interrupted he would stop. Shizen was content with the silence, enjoying the moment because Shinseina was awake, alive and well. While the prince ate, the god wondered to himself what the prince had dreamed of during the time he was asleep. He wondered if Shinseina even dreamed. The only thing that suggested that Shinseina had dreamed was his cries and screams... After a couple days of hearing the poor thing scream and cry out, Shizen had to fight back the urge to scoop up the other male and coo comforting words.

Finally once Shinseina was finished eating, Exellius watched in relief as the other male started to drink tea. He looked much more healthy, livelier, happy even... And the god was happy too. When Shinseina suddenly started to speak, the god's ears perked at the soft voice. Shinseina's words struck him overwhelmingly. He blinked in disbelief. "Your kindness knows no bounds." The god said smiling softly as he looked at Shinseina, noticing the light pink hue upon the mortal's face. Shinseina sure knew how to flatter the god. "I truly hadn't thought about what I would do once you've gained back your strength." The god said simply.

"Although..." The god continued after he had paused in thought, "Now that you have brought it up, I shall acknowledge your request by accepting it." He thought it was both bold and generous of Shinseina to offer him a place to stay. This mortal was truly selfless towards the god and he hoped Shinseina was the same way with his people too. If so, then the god knew that Shinseina was dearly loved by the people under him and who served him. A certain vibe came from Shinseina that the god couldn't explain other than to say that he was very welcoming and warm hearted. "You needn't spare me a room, I do not wish to burden you nor your maids. Although I must say that a view of the garden would be gracious of you... However..." Exellius hesitated ever so briefly before moving to stand in front of Shinseina. He looked down into the mortals beautiful eyes and knew exactly what to say, "However, why would I want a view of the garden when I have a precious flower right here that demands my attention?" He said this as if he was continuing what they were talking about earlier when he said a new Shinseina was blooming in front of him.

"Just know, wherever you wish to have me, I shall go. So if you wish me to stay in the room next to yours, I will. If you ever wish my company just speak my name and I will be beckoned to your call, summoner. I will talk to you for as long as you wish and I will not leave your side unless you wish it so." Shizen said humbly, softly and gently. The god was very pleased to have such a caring and gracious summoner, one whose words struck him at his core and made him want to care for the mortal. Of course the god knew that to an extent he had this affect on Shinseina as well. He could tell by how much kindness Shinseina showed him and also though his smiles and not to mention the light blushes that light up his face. "I watched over you while you rested, I did not leave your side. I told you, every time that you would have nightmares that I would protect you... And you would calm." Shizen was definitely loyal to Shinseina.

There was a soft hum that escaped the god, he wanted to touch Shinseina but was afraid of the onlooking guests in the room, so again he had to restrain himself. "And if you ever need comforting while you are awake, please do not hesitate to summon me. I cannot thank you enough for your hospitality, I am grateful." The god had again, thanked Shinseina, bowing slightly. The prince was simply divine, unlike any mortal he had ever met, pure...

All the while the god was speaking, Shinseina had an eager look in his eyes, and it showed all over his face as well. Seconds pass, and words were spoken, and the answer that the prince received caused him to feel even more elated than before. A humongous smile formed on his lips, and a certain glowing seemed to radiate from deep within, warming the entire room. Seeing this reaction caused the maiden who had brought the food to the room to smile, who then raises her hand up to her lips, covering the grin that was painted there. She was happy to see that her master was doing so well, and that he was so overjoyed at hearing these things from the man who was there with them.

"Well, if that is the case, then I want you to stay in this room with me! I will have Murasaki here to bring in an extra futon and blankets for you to use. I wish to have you by my side, always. Your presence is such a comfort to me, it calms me and makes me feel not lonely." Placing a hand over his heart, he looks down, eyes focusing on his other hand, which was set in his lap, fingers plucking at the fabric of the kimono in which he was wearing. The blush that was on his cheeks got darker as he spoke again, his voice once again low and shy sounding. "And...as your precious flower, well...isn't it best to keep the blossom close, so as to take care of it? I...I would like that very much. Always, being at your side, and never feeling lost or lonely ever again..."

He falls quiet for a minute or two, before looking over at Murasaki, who seemed a bit surprised that Shinseina had remembered her name. He smile at her, and she shyly smiles back. "Murasaki, could you please go and get a spare futon and blankets? And when you do, please just set them in front of the door. I wish to be alone with Shizen for a while." The maiden nods, and stands up from where she'd been kneeling, and leaves the room, doing as she was commanded. He looks to the others who were there. "You too may leave. You need not worry about leaving me in Shizen's presence. He will take care of me. Thank you all for taking such good care of me." They bow to him, and follow Murasaki, so that it was soon only Shizen and Shinseina.

A moment of silence passes, before Shinseina moves, not even realizing what he was doing. Before he knew it, his body had moved, and his arms were wrapped around Shizen, hugging him. His face was pressed against the god's chest, heart pounding in his own. The smile from before was still on his lips, and his cheeks were like the pink sakura petals drifting outside. "Thank you...I am glad you are staying here with me. Before I met you I was so lonely...." He felt warm tears of happiness begin to form, falling onto the front of the god's kimono. "Thank you Shizen...thank you..."

The god was simply amazed by how much Shinseina could light up the room. It was like watching a flower bloom right in front of him, only Shinseina was not an ordinary flower... Exellius could tell that he was in for an adventure of sorts, one that had an abundance of endings. This mortal was simply delightful. He was an endless sweet. A wonderful light in the darkness of the night. The god was interested to learn more about Shinseina and slowly, he was. Shinseina's smile was breathtakingly beautiful on his pretty face.

Yet, Shizen found himself even more surprised as Shinseina started to speak. This mortal would share a room, his room with a measly god that he just met. For a lack of better words, the god was fond of Shinseina despite meeting mere days ago. That, or he was just being gullible or perhaps seduced by Shinseina's beauty and charm. Though, Shinseina wasn't seducing his body, no, the young mortal was seducing his mind and heart. The human was becoming someone that the god wanted to hold close to him. He truly wanted to protect him. Shizen could fall for this mortal's innocence and that alone was something worth protecting.

All the while Shinseina talked, warming the gods heart even more, he mentally accepted everything the other desired, such as his company. It was bold of Shinseina to ask for him to sleep in the same room, but then again, Exellius was a god... In the past he had been asked to share a room for a night- though those were way different circumstances as well as reasoning. As far as the god was concerned, Shinseina only had pure thoughts and that kind of 'circumstance' was not applied here. Company for comfort. That's what the god saw. A remedy for Shinseina's loneliness.

The way Shinseina seemingly nervously plucked at his kimono... The small blush on his face... The honesty, the sweetness and softness of Shinseina's voice... All had Exellius at his mercy. Shinseina could have told him, right then and there, to kill someone and he would have done it... But alas, Shinseina was so innocent, Shizen couldn't fathom the other male asking him for such a thing to happen.

Exellius watches in silence as Shinseina dismissed everyone out of the room, leaving only them. The prince had a divine power to control people, so the god noticed. It was very interesting to see. His people must trust him very well and loved their prince dearly... After watching them leave, the god turned his head, smiling softly at Shinseina. Now that they were alone he would be able to- Well, Shizen didn't have to do anything before Shinseina's arms were suddenly around him in an embrace. For a moment, he had tensed both in surprise and from the mortal's hands that touched his back. It was unavoidable that he touched Shizen's scar on his back. But that was okay, Shinseina didn't know any better. Plus, the scar no longer hurt like it did long ago.

Warmth from Shinseina was very welcoming and the god longed for it so... To be embraced by the prince or by anyone was dearly missed. The god had been lonely as well and could sympathize with Shinseina's pain. After that hesitation the god quickly wrapped his own arms around the younger male, completing the embrace before Shinseina could escape him. Exellius would be content on holding him there for a while. "You're a flower that well deserves my attention..." Commented the god, speaking softly and closing his eyes for a moment as he inhaled the other's sweet scent. "Bestowing a lot a faith in me, Shinseina, as well as honesty and trust." He said as his eyes reopened, glancing down at the prince who was in his arms.

Seeing the happy tears go down Shinseina's face, the god gingerly raises a hand to the other's face and wipes them away. "I never thought I would see someone cry happy tears to have me near them." The god smiled softly, enjoying the sakura pink hue on Shinseina's face. "Perhaps then I should request something of you in return..." The god said as he brushed strands of the mortal's hair back, tucking it behind his ear. His beauty was unmatched even up close. No mortal should be allowed such beauty... "I would like the same thing from you, Shinseina, a remedy for my loneliness as well. Company and someone to talk to... But I will warn you. Sleeping in the same room with me... I should advise you that I am quite the cuddler some times." He said sheepishly, followed by a chuckle. "I hope that's okay."

He could feel the vibrations of the god's voice through his chest, where Shinseina had placed his ear, right next to where Shizen's heart was beating. Closing his eyes, he listens to both the word's that came from the God's mouth, and the worlds that beat from his hear. Even after he'd moved away slightly, the prince could still hear the stories that were being whispered to him from deep within the other. It was mesmerizing, the way those simple yet complex beating sounds was speaking to him, murmuring, calling his name. The tears that fell were shining and crystalline, beautiful all in there own, only adding to the perfection that Shinseina was.

A soft smile formed on his lips when Shizen touched his cheeks with his fingers, wiping away the tears that fell down. Eyes grow wide at the request that the god made, the blush upon his face darkening even more. He didn't know what to say at first, so was silent, but after a moment he speaks up, his voice quiet and shy. "But...But of course. I think that is a decent request, that I can give in to. But might I ask...what does the word...cuddler...mean?" He had an idea, but wasn't quite sure, as it was something he'd never heard before now.

Being there, in the arms of the god, was calming in it's own, and Shinseina was glad that he'd found that scroll, for the millionth time. Leaning his head back against Shizen's chest, he sighs softly, closing his eyes once more, not even opening them when he head a knock at the door, which was probably Murasaki with the futon and blankets for Shizen's bed. A little while later, footsteps give the sign that Murasaki had left, so that once more they were all alone. The smile upon Shinseina's lips only grows, he had such amazing servants. They were all so loyal, the most loyal any cold ask for.

A silent moment passes, before he speaks once more. "What did you want to do? We could go out for a walk in the gardens...I'd like to see how my flowers are faring...I know what you will probably say, 'stay in to get rest', but I am feeling much better. And I'd have you by my side just in case something did happen. So...please? May we go out for a bit?" He leans his head back, and gazes up into the god's face, his own eyes twinkling with anticipation, hoping Shizen would agree to a small while in the gardens. For Shinseina, he'd been away from them far too long, and wanted to walk among his blooms once more.

  • 2 weeks later...

A warm chuckle came from the god as he was amused by Shinseina's innocence. He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to think of the best way to inform the younger male of what the term 'cuddler' meant. It was simple, really. However, it made Shizen, lightly squeeze the smaller form in his arms, a soft smile came onto his face as he opened his eyes to look back down at Shinseina. "I'll tell you what it is..." He hummed out of amusement, "Think of what it's like to hug someone, or perhaps hold someone close... Much like we are now... I often think that people who cuddle are loved one's, you know? Like a relationship or a mother to her child, for example. Someone you hold close to your heart... Someone who you can hold." The god said slowly, his words soft as they are sweet. "I was merely warning you, Shinseina, that I might curl up next to you and hold you while we sleep."

There was a light shrug from the god, he didn't know how else to explain what the term 'cuddler' meant. He also wanted to reassure that he wouldn't be harming Shinseina, just holding him. Nothing too crazy. "If that's not okay, then just say so and I shall restrain myself." Exellius was well aware of his cuddling habits and had come up with a way to not move as much. Though he didn't say it explicitly, he would do it if he had to. Shizen's eyes darted towards the door when he heard the knocks, but he was glad that they were left in peace. His eyes then looked down at Shinseina who was in his arms. What a comforting sight it was... and well as a comforting feeling too. He rather enjoyed holding onto the frail form- nevertheless he reminded himself to be gentle, afraid he would accidentally break him. Which, the god knew he could... He was literally strong enough, powerful enough to do so... But the god wouldn't dream of it.

It surprised Exellius to hear that Shinseina already wanted to go outside. Shinseina had been right to say that he would suggest he rest... And that's what the god wanted to say... But he found himself weak and gullible to Shinseina once he looked up at him. Shinseina's face was that of beauty and marvelous innocence. The way his eyes twinkled... Exellius felt as if his heart skipped a beat. There was no resisting it. Shizen was strong... But he seemed to lack the strength to say 'no' to Shinseina... But then again, it also might have to do with the scroll. However Exellius felt that this was not the case because he was actually rather fond of Shinseina... "You're right... But... How could I possibly say no..?" Exellius raised a hand slowly, brushing it through Shinseina's hair. He too would like to see the garden. He had been in here this whole time, watching Shinseina- that wasn't a problem though. "I suppose we can go, as long as we are together. You did just wake up, Shinseina, and I wouldn't want you to push yourself more than you already have... If you start showing any signs of fatigue or if you tell me that you are fatigued, I will carry you. So please do not hesitate to tell me." The god promised.

With that being said, the god allowed himself to sit there for a moment, stroking Shinseina's hair slowly. "I'm sure the flowers missed you..." Commented the god, "But I bet they will be happy to see that you are alive, healthy, and even more beautiful than the last time they saw you." He complemented. "You should look at your reflection when you get the chance." Then, without further adieu, he slowly detached himself from Shinseina. "Let's go now, then, the sun won't be up all day and surely will not wait for us." The god then got up making a bee-line for the door, opening it, and picking up the futon. He then returned promptly to set it down near where Shinseina's was. "There we are. I'll set it up when we get back, okay?" He hummed, "Now, let us depart." He said, offering his hand for Shinseina to take.

Soaking in the new information like the ground after a rain, long due from drought, Shinseina did so with the words that were being told to him about what the word 'cuddler' mean by Shizen. It sounded quite nice, secure and safe, warm and comfortable, but he says nothing of it, only a faint blush forms on his cheeks, and a small smile on his lips. He wouldn't have minded it at all if Shizen decided to do this thing called cuddle with him, because if he was honest with himself, Shinseinan thought he would like that. Especially if it was with the god. Even after only knowing him for a few short days, he already found himself attached to the entity, something about Shizen made him feel as if he'd known the god his entire life, and never wanted to part with him.

As he waited for an answer from the other about going out, he gazed at the god, hoping that he would allow them both to go, and sure enough, as he'd been wishing, Shizen agreed to take him out into the gardens. He nods, and promises that he would tell Shizen if he was feeling fatigued or not. His face lit up, and a big, content smile forms on his face. "Oh, thank you! I'm so glad that I can go out and see my flowers." He blushes a bit darker when he felt his hair being stroked, but did not move, because to him it felt nice. His face darkens even more when he was told that he'd become beautiful, and he wondered what the god meant by that. He loved how Shizen spoke as if the flowers were living beings, who could recognize who Shinseina was, and gave them personality. Finally, someone who actually understood them like he, the prince, did. And because of this, he was even more excited to go out.

When Shizen went to grab the futon that had been placed by the door, Shinseina turns to glance at himself in the reflection of the mirror on the wall, but didn't get a chance to see that much, when the god returned. Quickly he turns around, facing the god once more. Taking the hand offered towards him, Shinseina stands up, knees still wobbly and weak, but he was determined to go outside. So, he clutches on to the god, one hand holding onto the god's, and the other clutching on to Shizen's kimono. Smiling up at him, Shinseina lets Shizen lead the way, and they head out in to the garden. It was late afternoon, the sun in the perfect spot in the sky, and it was quite nice outside. Birds and butterflies filled the air, and the sound of nature could be heard. It smelled wonderful, and when they'd reached the center, he pauses, taking a deep breath, his eyes closed. "I've missed this so much..."

Opening his eyes again, he tugs on Shizen's robe, wanting to go to a certain spot, and leads him to a beautiful small bridge, over a tiny little pond. Smiling, he stops in the center of the bridge, and looks down at the water beneath, gazing at his reflection. He was shocked to see that his hair was no longer the dark black it had once been, but more of a grey ashy color, as if it were snow that had been near a fire. And his eyes...his right remained the color of peacock feathers, but the left...the left was silvery blue grey, and a star shape. Reaching up, he runs the fingers of one hand through his hair, then touches the skin just beneath his left eye. He was in awe with his appearance, wondering why he was changing. Wasn't he human? Or was he something else?

He looks over at Shizen, his hand still on his face. "Do you...do you know what's going on? Do you really think this is beautiful?" He could tell that he was going to change more, because this wasn't quite what he'd seen in those dreams he'd been having recently. A sudden urge took over him, and he turns to the god, wrapping his arms around him, and hugging him. Shinseina rests his head against Shizen's chest, closing his eyes. He then speaks, his voice a soft murmur. "You know, even though I feel scared, about everything that has been going on...for some reason, when I'm near you, I don't feel so frightened...there is something about you...that makes me feel safe..."

The god was hesitant once he saw that Shinseina had to hold onto him for support. But nonetheless he would comply with the other's wishes. Shizen was really beginning to enjoy every time the other male smiled... It was like a beautiful treasure, or perhaps a rare flower- Exellius was well aware that Shinseina was a flower, there was no ands, ifs, or buts about it. He simply adored the younger male. The desire to please him and make him smile grew inside the god. He truly and deeply wanted to make the other happy.

So without any further hesitation, he helped guide Shinseina into the garden. It felt so nice to be back outside. He was sure the flowers missed Shinseina, as he was missing the flowers. While Exellius was the god of all plants, he fancied the flowers the most. He found them to be the most relatable. The fact that Shinseina liked them too made his love for them grow as well... He was growing very fond of Shinseina, he realized. The younger male made him feel happy and he didn't even have to do anything except smile... The cute blushes were a bonus... Which the god may or may not exploit later... It baffled the god to think that Shinseina could befriend him so quickly, trust him so deeply- enough to sleep in the same room... But in all honesty... The god wanted it as much as Shinseina did. For some reason, being around Shinseina... Made the god feel as though he had known him forever. It seemed that their personalities clicked very will together. Maybe their souls were somehow connected by fate?

Without a care in the world, the god enjoyed walking with Shinseina, watching his face light up in glorious awe. If he were being honest right now, Shinseina had more of his attention than the flowers did... In fact, he hardly even noticed the red and white roses sprouting at his feet as he let Shinseina direct the way to a small bridge that lingered over an even smaller pond. At this point the god relishes as he watches the other male glance at himself in the water. Now, the god thought, would be a good time for himself to look into the water. He let his eyes drift as he leaned slightly, glancing down into the water... And to his dismay, he did not like what he saw...

The god had seen a different reflection of himself... One that looked evil. In his heart he knew what it meant, his stomach felt uneasy- he had hoped that something like this wouldn't occur again... Yet, as he glanced at Shinseina, he felt worse... The poor male would see that form eventually. No, the god could not have that. He wouldn't have the sweet, gentle, kind, and beautiful Shinseina see that deadly side of him... Curse the blue moon... However, he kept his inner turmoil and his feelings hidden from Shinseina... For now... As he didn't want to worry him...

It delighted him to know that Shinseina felt so comfortable with him... Even going as far as to embrace him again... It really warmed the god up on the inside. As if his heart had turned into a butterfly and was trying to flutter away. As he looked down at Shinseina who was currently hugging him... He could almost cry because of Shinseina... He was literally everything the god could ask for after being isolated for so long. He just felt so alone... and now... Shinseina really was his remedy. In fact, the god allowed himself to get teary eyed as he wrapped his arms around Shinseina's small frame. No sounds escape him as he rest his head on top of Shinseina's head. While he didn't want Shinseina to see his tears, he did want the other to know that his words, kindness, gestures... everything, touched the god deeply and made him so emotionally happy. "I'm glad..." He said softly, "That I can comfort you... I hope it will always be that way..."

After a moment, the god decided he would answer the earlier questions. He gave a light shrug as he held onto Shinseina still, "I am not quite sure actually... But I do have some ideas... However we won't be sure until you have fully turned. I believe that you're experiencing some kind of change, for what? Now that's the true question... While I don't know about that... I do know..." Shizen smiled softly pulling away from Shinseina enough to look at him, regardless if he still had tears on his face or not. He extended his hand towards Shinseina and stroking his cheek softly. He then allowed his hand to cup the younger males chin. "Hmmn, I wonder how many times you will ask me that question..." He pondered out loud as his thumb lightly brushed Shinseina's cheek slowly. "Nevertheless, it does not matter how many times you ask me... I will always remind you of how beautiful you are... Even before the change you were beautiful. I have no doubt in my mind at all, Shinseina. You're very beautiful, inside and out, and I shall say it again if you so wish." The god would be happy to remind Shinseina anytime he asked... Heck, he was content being in Shinseina's presence.

If he could, he would just hold Shinseina forever... Coo soft words... Lay in a bed of flowers... Explore the innards of his heart... Live peacefully together... Perhaps he could fall for this human... He really could... He dare say that he would watch over Shinseina until his dying breath... And if he could, he would find a way for him to live forever, just so they could forever comfort each other. "Shall we return to your home now, Shinseina?" He asked softly as looked down at Shinseina, not really wanting to break apart from him. "Here... Maybe from now on you should grasp my arm." Shizen said as he offered. Shinseina could link his arm with him and maybe even hold his hand if he needed to. "My arm is a lot stronger than my kimono... And if you are not too careful, you might pull my kimono off." He said with a sly wink, "And we wouldn't want that, now would we?" There was a slight teasing tone in the gods voice as he said this.
