This is Pigeon's idea I'm just making the thread because he asked me to. No questions!

5. Dragon's mate: YC is a human who was born with a mark that that meant he was destined to be a dragon's lover. Once he was old enough to meet his lover he was abandoned on a small island in a lake that traveling dragons often stopped at to rest. Mc is a dragon that stopped at that island and decided to take YC with him so that he would be safe.

MC:

Name: Loki (Because he was always causing trouble for people. He had a different name but everyone forgot it when it was changed to Loki)

Age: 18 or so

Gender: Male

Occupation: Dragon's mate...

Species: half human, 1/4 house cat, 1/4 tiger

Personality: I think I'm going to have him have been isolated most of his life because of the mark that's found on his lower back (Right side) and he's just going to be a very curious cat. He'd always wander off places and was really good at escaping his captivity and would always end up in the most random of places. He was always getting lost because he'd get distracted by a butterfly, or a flower, or any other random thing and just go off. He's pretty mellow but doesn't really like dragons because he was forced to marry one and because of this, he was pushed away and no one was willing to get close and be his friend.

Mc

Name: Mimura Auri

Age: ~2500

Occupation: ???

Species: dragon

Appearance: ((picture to be added)) human form- tall, dark skin, long silky golden hair, both eyes gauged out, scars all over his face and body. Has five tiny horns that are mostly hidden in his hair. Dragon form- huge with golden scales. Five large horns and wings. Has the same scars in this form. Able to breath fire.

Personality/bio: ???

It had been centuries since Mimura had seen starlight. It had been one of his favorite things to look at. The peaceful lights that brightened the sky every night and made shapes. He could still remember the images clearly as if they were right in front of him. As he flew through the night he could imagine what was passing above him.

As always he was a bit wobbily in the air, his lack of sight made it difficult. But after years of practice he could figure out his position with his other senses. For instance now he could smell the combination of plants and animals that came from one particular small island that he often rested on.

He circled around the island for a few minutes, gradually getting closer and closer. Soon he could smell something odd on the island, but things did change...

Finally Mimura landed on the sandy beach, stumbling slightly as the soft ground was pushed away by his feet.

A young half breed was hanging from a barred window 12 feet off the ground. The strange cat creature was staring up at the sunrise as the sky turned a bright orange into the beautiful that was every day. However, this day was very different from the last, at least it would be. There was something more in-store for the day that was very important, but it was also a day that had been forgotten by this male. One he'd been told about all his life only to forget just which day it was.

The feline jumped down from the window and hurried off to the door. He was locked away in what looked like an old shed, one he'd been locked in just about all his life, and Loki was very use to escaping. A new lock was added regularly to try and keep this cat from getting out but of course nothing could keep a cat locked up. So he went about unlocking everything with his claws and hurried out the door. Loki quickly found himself following a strange sent but as he turned the corner, he was grabbed up and tied up.

The half breed kicked and hissed for a moment until he was completely bound. He resumed his "I don't give two shits" face and waited for what they had to say about escaping. Of course, the lecture Loki was expecting never happened and they said the time had come. What time? were they going to set him free? Not likely. Were they going to lock him away and beat him? Probably not he had something important which was the only reason he was kept safe this whole time and why people didn't just let him wander off a cliff or something.

Despite waiting for an explanation, it never came and the cat was dragged off and placed in a cage on a cart with a guard to make sure he didn't get away. They traveled the entire day over land and through mountains and finally, over the water. The group made it to a strange island where they set the cat free on the beach and said "Have fun and serve your purpose our bride." Loki finally remembered he was suppose to become the mate of a dragon. He tried to go with the others back but they already were in the water and Loki just coward. He hated water.

On the trip, Loki was changed from random rags someone put on him to a more elaborate outfit. This much he liked but he meowed loudly and roared wanting to be taken home. About a minute into his crying, the cat got distracted by the sunset and sat on the beach for hours watching it and then the stars after. By the time something else caught his attention, A large dragon had randomly landed near him. When did the dragon even get there?! Loki made a hiss sound and took off running.

The hissing noise caught Mimura completely off guard. He had been too focused on landing to notice the strange smell. The dragon lashed out with his long tail, swiping it across the sand so that it not only kicked up a cloud to blind his attackers but also would hit any creature in the general area. The scent wasn't one that he immediately recognized so he didn't know if it was something to fear. Mimura knew far too well that even small creatures could pose a threat to a dragon, especially if this one brought a group of it's own kind. Unfortunately the dragon wouldn't be able to pick up the scent very well until the sand settled.

The sand got into Loki's eyes and some in his mouth so he slowed down and wasn't able to disappear into the tree line. Before he knew it, his feet were swiped out from under him and Loki was sent flying back almost landing in the water. He meowed and groaned after the tail moved away from him. The feline was coughing as he tried to get up and ended up stepping just a bit into the water making him jump.

Loki coughed trying to get the sand out of his lungs and his eyes burned miserably. He was having the worst day of his life so far. "Ow, that hurts!!!" He whined.

The sand began to settle as the cat coughed. Mimura tilted his head to the side at the sound if speech. "You... What are you...?" He asked. The dragon breathed in the air once the sand was fully settled and pushed his nose towards the strange creature. "You smell like... A cat... And a human...?" He kept a good distance in case the creature was armed, that was something he could never tell right away.

Loki spit out the last bit of sand he could before he addressed the dragon with his eyes still watering. "I am... I'm half human half cat, half tiger.... actually only a quarter cat and a quarter tiger but I'm half human!!!" Loki's emotions went from nervous to confused to almost excited all within one sentence. He calmed down again seeming to relax and put his emotions back in check.

"I didn't realize dragons were quite so.... big.... I was told...." Just as Loki was about to explain about being a dragon's mate, he saw something shiny in the ground sticking out of the sand now after a lot of the sand being kicked up. He hurried over and pulled out a small glass bottle but there was nothing inside which was a bit saddening.

The dragon snarled and jerked back at the sound of something being pulled out of the sand. It was something with no real scent so it was impossible for him to tell what it was. He crouched down, pulling his fragile wings close to his back. "What is that?" He growled, his lips pulled back to expose his teeth.

"Is that a weapon? Were you sent here to kill dragons that passed by?" It wasn't usual for people to kill dragons in many countries, their scales had many uses and could be sold for a high price. Mimura knew that at one point their had been a war between a tribe of dragons and tigers, it had been centuries but he didn't know if the feud was still going. After he lost his sight he had stopped paying attention to politics, but now he wished he knew more about the state of the world.

"It's a bottle... It's empty though... I was hoping it had a letter or something inside... or maybe a map since I can't read..." Loki chucked it in the opposite direction of the dragon before turning back to the larger beast. "I don't like dragons but I wouldn't kill them since I'm suppose to marry one. I couldn't make friends because I was suppose to go off and... well come here to marry..." Loki was loosing his attention again but the most interesting thing around was the dragon. He stared at the dragon's face and scars.

"I was just dropped off here today... I don't get it though... I'm suppose to be some mate but if dragons are so big how am I going to mate with one?" He was a bit concerned but then lost interest in the conversation and got up and began walking around trying to find something else.

"A dragon's mate...?" Mimura hesitated for a moment. He was far more vulnerable in his human form, but it might make it easier to talk to the smaller creature. Finally he let the bag that was slung over his back fall to the ground and changed into his other form. He was completely naked but he only ever wore clothes to make other species more comfortable.

"Your mate will probably spend most of your time together in this form..." He let part of his tail come out, just enough so it reached the ground. It was what he used to find his way places in this form. "But I'm surprised that people are continuing that tradition... It's quite old" He sighed and picked up the bag off the sand, it was almost half the size of his body like this. "Well, I'm just stopping by to rest... Would you like to keep me company until I'm on my way?"

The cat was already sifting through the sand when the dragon spoke again. He looked back and saw the dragon change into a human. He walked over, attention now taken. The feline got closer and sniffed the male a bit. "Dragons can turn human? That makes it easier. I don't want to continue this tradition but I have this mark on my back that the humans said makes me the mate to a dragon." Loki began pouting a bit not liking the idea that had been drilled into his brain all his life.

"Who are you anyway?" As he asked this, Loki began walking around the human inspecting him. He was definitely a male and keeping his tail out was an interesting touch. Must be a lot like cat whiskers in helping them determine if there body will fit in a space. The tail had to be so he could keep a blind dragon stable and to see a little. "You want me to keep you company? I get distracted easily."

"You don't have to keep me company, I just can't smell any others of your species on this island" Mimura smiled and began to step towards the small forest in the island. "My name is Mimura... I'll be setting up camp in a cave that I usually use... Your welcome to join me if you don't have a camp of your own yet."

The dragon couldn't tell how long the stranger had been there. It couldn't be long since the cat's scent hadn't been spread around the island very much. He could detect the scent of other cats but their trail seemed to lead right back into the water and no where else. The stranger must have been on the island for two or three days at the most.

Loki didn't know if all dragons were friendly. One could pop up and try to eat the small cat for all he knew. The feline followed after this dragon wondering if even this was a good idea. It would probably be pretty easy to grab something to use as a weapon to scare off the dragon. He seemed startled enough from the small bottle. "I'm Loki and I was dropped off at sunset. I haven't been here more then a couple hours before you showed up." The small cat was clearly telling the truth based on how closely he was following Mimura, and though the dragon couldn't see, Loki was looking all around.

After walking for about 10 minutes, Loki saw something else in the woods and seemed to just wander away from his guide. The cat was completely unaware of his sittuation and just trying to quell his curiosity.

Mimura wondered if the cat knew just how lucky he was. He could have waited years for a dragon to land on this island. It seemed insane to just leave someone here, it snowed in the winter and the wild boar that lived in the trees were extremely aggressive.

The dragon was pulled out of his thoughts as the cat started to wander off. "Loki, be careful" he called. Mimura took a deep breath to smell his surroundings before speaking again. "There is a wild boar nearby, they can be dangerous" he had no idea how well Loki could handle himself in a fight, especially one against a wild animal. The cat seemed perfectly comfortable so it could be the the was accustomed to this kind of environment. Of course it might be the opposite and Loki was too sheltered to understand how dangerous even a small island like this could be.

Loki perked up to being called. Not many people actually used his name. Back home there was only one person that would call it and his shift was at noon when the feline slept mostly. Loki hurried back to the dragon and asked, "what's a boar?" If that didn't tell Mimura that he was a very sheltered cat, then there was nothing else that could. The humans in charge of the cat were too busy recapturing him and locking him away so they never did teach him anything.

Despite his lack of knowledge about the boars, he was still trying to sneak a peak wanting to see it for himself. His curiosity was truly going to be the death of him. Loki wandered to the edge of the bushes looking for this wild boar.

Mimura froze at the question. How could the cat not even know something so basic? He knew that it would be best if he brought the cat to somewhere safe and leave him there, Loki would never survive on this island for more than a few hours.

"Wait! Loki!" The dragon dropped his bag and hurried after the other male. "It really is dangerous if you don't know what you're doing" He pushed his way through the trees and bushes, growling in frustration as the branches scratched his bare skin. After a moment he reached the cat and reached out to grab his arm. "A boar is just... A very large, very violent pig. It might not sound like much but they could easily kill you if you're unarmed. I can keep you safe if you stay close to me but if you wander off..." He shook his head.

Loki froze and looked back at the dragon who was hurrying after him. The cat didn't even notice he went into the bushes while trying to look over them. He was grabbed even though he wasn't moving but that was probably due to the fact that the dragon was blind. "I'm sorry..." it was the first time in his life that Loki actually apologized and his ears drew back a bit. He did feel bad, after all, this was the first creature to really show care in Loki as him and not just some dragon's mate.

"I have an idea." Loki pulled out a small folded cloth from his pocket and carefully opened it. "I'm opening a folding cloth," he informed the dragon. As the cloth was unfolded, there was a small ringing sound. "I was given a bell but I didn't want to wear it but to make sure I don't wander off do you want me to put this on?" He held it up to inspect it and it chimed as the movement.

Mimura nodded slightly and loosened his grip on the cat. "Please do... I can track you by your scent but it isn't easy" he sighed and let go completely. "I think it would be best if I take you to a village away from here... If I take you to the one near my home they will give you a place to stay and help you settle in... It just isn't safe here. If you want to try to find a dragon mate then I can help you with that, but I don't think it would be wise" Dragons could be very dangerous, and it was often hard to tell right away if they were safe or not.

"I don't want to live with the humans anymore. They don't take care of me because I need the help but because if a creature is born in the village with the mark to become a dragon's mate then they will be cursed if that creature doesn't find a dragon to mate with. If I died then the village would have been cursed." He was quite depressed but this was the reason he hated dragons. If he didn't marry one he'd put a lot of people in peril and they were the ones that locked him away. "I want to stay with you for a while..." The feline wasn't even a fan of this but at least he could sneak away from a blind dragon fairly easily. Loki puffed his cheeks a bit as he looked at the bell again but he tied it around his neck anyway.

"You can stay with me if you'd like..." Mimura sighed. "The village near my home doesn't have the same beliefs as yours but you're welcome to live with me as long as you'd like" He hesitated for a moment before offering the cat his hand. "Why don't I show you where I'll be setting up camp, then you can do some exploring. Alright?" He hoped that he could convince the cat to stay close to him, even if he wasn't right next to him. If the dragon could at least be close enough for Loki to call for help then he could probably find him in time to protect him.

Loki was happy to hear that he could stay and reached out his hand to the dragon. Only now could the dragon feel the strange paws that were part of the cat's outfit. It was amazing how he could do things with his hands covered like that but it was because he didn't use his thumbs for much and mostly used his other fingers. He had just gotten use to this over the years.

As they walked the feline's stomach growled. He hadn't eaten all day really since everyone was too afraid he'd escape if they untied him as all, so now that everything settled and calmed, all his hunger came at once. Every now and then, Mimura could feel a slight tug as Loki became distracted and fell behind but when he felt the pull as well, the cat hurried along to stay closer.

Mimura kept a firm hold on the cat's hand as he walked, not wanting him to wander off yet. He managed to find his bag again and threw it over his shoulder. "So, you home still believes in dragon mates?" He asked, trying to make conversation. "That must have been difficult... Have you ever traveled out of your town? I know a lot of dragon's mates leave their towns to find more forward thinking cities..."

The dragon kept walking, using his tail to feel his way along the plath. He had been here just a few days ago but didn't come here often enough to memorize the way. Back at Mimura's home he knew the area perfectly well and barely needed to use his tail to find his way through the area.

"I tried many times to leave but I always had many guards that would drag me back and lock me up if I ever got... actually they hunted me down and captured me every time I got out of my cage. They had this small building with bars on the one window so I couldn't slip out and they were always putting new locks on the door." Loki didn't really like talking about this but it was probably good for him to get it off his chest and out there. It's not like it really mattered at this point anyway since he wasn't going back now.

"They didn't want me getting hurt... it didn't help that I nearly ripped out one of my eyes when I was a kitten. It's not completely blind but it's hard to see out of that eye so I don't bother using it at all." Loki was now loosing his attention and instead of wandering away, he started talking about random things.

"That sounds horrible..." Mimura gave the cat's hand a light squeeze. "Well, you're free to do as you'd like while you stay with me. I'd just like it if you told me where you were going so that I know you're safe" He smiled in Loki's direction. "I'd feel horrible if anything happened to you while you were staying with me."

He reached a cave near a lake and let go of the other's hand. "Here we are, I'll do some hunting in the area nearby and start up a fire. I can call you when dinner is ready so just try not to get lost. If you need help or you do get lost just yell my name as loud as you can and I'll come to you. Also please don't fall asleep in the forest, it would be very hard to sniff you out" The dragon set his bag down in the cave. "Does that sound alright?"

"Ok... I have to tell you I do go out but since I wander I don't always end up where I hope to." Loki was very honest about his position and continued to follow the dragon until they reached the cave. It was a nice cave but kind of boring so it was easy to figure the feline would lose interest and wander pretty easily. When he was told to wait until Mimura came back with food and to start a fire, Loki became slightly nervous. "Alright, I'll stay here."

He always had this needed to go so it was hard for him to stay in one place but he was going to try. Surprisingly, it was easier then he thought. As soon as Mimura took off to hunt, Loki curled up in a ball and fell asleep. He didn't wake up until the fire was made, lighting up the area. At first he thought it was morning but quickly remembered what was happening and why he was there.

"Are there any female dragons on this island?" Loki wondered as he moved a bit closer, the bell chiming every time he moved.
