Dragon's mate (Pigeon x wolf) (18+)

Once they landed, Loki jumped down and took his bell off and placed it on the ground before running into the cave. He didn't want Mimura to hear where he went or to be able to follow and hear the feline cry. His hand was swelling already. If only he had been prepared then his hand may not have been this bad... not that he could do a whole lot. The dragon was much stronger than a cat's fragile paw.

[Kotorichan]

"Loki?!" Mimura changed into his human form and took a few steps after him. "I'm sorry..." He stopped himself from going any farther. "I'm so sorry" He turned back into his dragon form and picked up his robes before taking off again. There was no way he could go after his love, not after what he did...

Loki heard the dragon take off and leave. For some reason, it was lonely, scary without Mimura somewhere in the cave. For now, Loki cried until he fell asleep. Eventually, he woke up and looked around. His hand was sore but the feline was able to ignore it for now. And he got up. He turned around and around but couldn't remembe where he came from. "Hello? Mimura?" He called.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura returned to the cave after about an hour with nicely cooked food for the cat. He went back out andcaught himself a wild deer before returning again and curling up near the entrance. He sat up straight when he heard Loki's voice. "Loki? Stay where you are, I'll find you." He changed into his human form and began to walk through the tunnels in search of the cat.

Loki did as he was instructed and stayed put. He basically glued himself to the wall for a while, crouching down and waiting for rescue. When he heard and could smell the dragon near, he ran over trying to hug his mate only to crash awkwardly into him before changing to the hug. "I'm sorry I ran away..." He whimpered.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura had to follow Loki's scent to find him in the caves. He let out a gasp when the cat hugged him. "I-it's alright... You didn't do anything wrong, it was all my fault..." He stopped himself from hugging the boy back. "H-how is your hand?" The dragon's voice cracked sightly as he tried to hold back tears.

"It's fine, It doesn't hurt anymore...." This was Loki's first time lying and it only worked because he figured saying this would make Mimura feel better. He could tell the dragon was upset and felt bad about hurting him... Heck, Mimura was refusing to even hug his mate.... It was upsetting to the feline to know the dragon was trying not to touch in case he hurt Loki again.

[Kotorichan]

"Are you sure..? I was going to get you some ice once you were ready to be near me again... I think that would help it feel better" Mimura still couldn't bring himself to hug the cat. "I also brought you some food, you should eat something since you didn't get a chance to eat dinner..."

Loki was really upset when Mimura refused to hug him even now. The feline stepped back and pulled away. "I'm not hungry," his said quietly. Why was the dragon being so mean... Loki just wanted to spend some time with his mate again. Sure, he had been scared from being hurt but Mimura showed the cat nothing but love and now he was refusing to even touch him... It felt just like the villagers.

[Kotorichan]

"Loki..?" Mimura reached out for the cat, it was worrying him that the boy wasn't holding onto him. "Are you still angry with me?" He was starting to feel like he might cry again. "I'm sorry... I know I should o-offer to let you move in with the v-villagers and have a happy life there, I know t-they'll take good care of you and I-I can visit you whenever I want" He let out a choked sob. "I-I know I'm being selfish... But I-I want to stay with you... Even if I can't touch you because I might hurt you, I just want to be near you"

"SHUT UP!!!!" Loki had never felt this angry before in his life. "I already told you I was staying here so you're going to have to get use to it!!!! I'm angry because you refuse to touch me. I'm not going to cling to you like a little kid and have you reject me!!! You're acting like the villagers that you say you hate. They wouldn't touch me either and thought of me as a curse if you want me to feel better then hug me!! I'm not afraid of you so you shouldn't be afraid of you either!!!" Loki gasped for air, holding his throat. Man did it hurt now. He practically used all the voice he had in him just then.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura stumbled back at the yell, there was nothing that upset the dragon more than sudden loud noises. It was the sense he relied on the most and so the sudden scream made him feel like he had lost his sight all over again. The echoes of Loki's voice filled the small cave. The dragon let out a desperate wail of terror, his hands clamping over his ears as the cat's anger repeated over and over. "I-I'm sorry" He sobbed the words out, completely terrified and panicked. "I-I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry" He fell to his knees, still holding his ears and gasping for breath. "I'm sorry...

Loki fell to his knees in front of Mimura and reached out before hugging the dragon. "Sorry," his quiet voice cracked. That was the end of his voice for now. The feline just hugged his mate gently hoping for some kind of response. He shouldn't have yelled like that. It wasn't good for either of them and it was so unlike Loki to do that. Now it seemed they both hurt each other really badly.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura shakily hugged him, pressing his face into the cat's shoulder. "I-I just don't want to hurt you... I c-can't promise that I won't make a mistake again... I'm so sorry, I just want you to be safe" He let out a soft sob, his entire body trembling. "I don't want you to go through a-any pain..."

"I'll just scratch you if you hurt me so don't worry," Loki whispered in his pathetic and cracking voice. He was happy that Mimura was finally hugging him and closed his eyes just holding his mate. "I'll be alright," He managed to say. Loki snuggled into the dragon's chest and stayed there for a while just waiting for Mimura to finally stop shaking.

[Kotorichan]

"P-please allow me to take you to the doctor... They might be able to help, or at least tell me if there's something we can do to prevent it from getting any worse. There are all sorts of amazing things that can be done these days" Mimura nuzzled into his neck. "Or maybe even just give you some medicine to help with the pain.."

"I'm scared though...." His weak voice whispered. Loki hugged Mimura tightly and started shaking. He hated doctors after how much they stabbed at him and just overall how cold they were. They seemed even worse than the villagers to him... though, thinking about it now, they were actually probably all the same. "Only if you stay with me will I go..." Loki managed.

[Kotorichan]

"Of course I'll stay with you, I don't want anyone to hurt you" Mimura pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek. "I promise I'll keep you safe, if they do anything scary then we can leave right away. Okay?" He gently stroked the cat's back. "I really do love you..." He said softly. "I don't want anyone to hurt you"

"Alright, I trust you." Loki was happy to hear that Mimura was going to stay with him the whole time. Sure, the feline was scared by having his hand broken but after watching his mate suffer in such a way from the yelling, it was hard to stay mad or afraid. Everyone gets scared some times but there was no need to hold a grudge. Loki gave Mimura one last squeeze before letting go and taking the dragon's hand with his good one. "I should probably put my bell back on before we leave." Man was Loki's voice a mess. He really needed to stop using it. It kept coming in and out and sometimes just wouldn't work.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura nodded, holding his hand very gently. "Do you remember where you left it?" He brought out his tail and began to feel his way back towards the entrance. "I think you should have a bit to eat before we go out, it might help you calm down a bit so the doctor won't feel as scary"

"I remember, I did leave it in the middle of the floor....." Loki looked down not wanting to go to the doctor's. "Isn't there the chance that I'll throw up of I eat before I go?" The feline was shaking a tiny bit. He trusted the dragon but not the doctor. "OK, maybe I'll have something small...." they got to the entrance and Loki grabbed his bell and put it back on.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura pulled away and found the box of takeout from the village. "Here, try some of this" He held it out for the cat. "It's pasta, I guess you must not have had any before... But I think you might enjoy it. If you don't like it then please don't force yourself to eat all of it." He smiled sadly. "I really don't want you to be uncomfortable..."

"Don't worry so much, Mimura," Loki said. His voice just hurt so he had to stop talking now. He ran off and grabbed his bell and put it on the best that he could with a broken and swelling hand before he finally went over to eat some of the take out. It tasted amazing but the feline just didn't have much of an appetite. He ate as much as he could but that was about it for him and he hadn't even had half the meal.

[Kotorichan]

"You're so delicate to me..." Mimura said softly. "I'm not used to being so close to anyone besides my brother. I don't want to hurt you." He gently reached out and took Loki's good hand. "I really want you to be safe. The idea of hurting you again is just so terrifying."

Loki looked down for a moment before giving Mimura's hand a gentle squeeze to reassure him that everything was ok. The feline leaned into him as well. Of course, when he had his voice back, Loki would ask about the dragon's brother, but for now they just had to go to the doctors.
