"I understand so please just rest for a few minutes so the food doesn't rot," Loki stated feeling pretty bad. After all, he probably should have known considering they were in a cave and this area was slightly less advanced. Besides, Mimura seemed to live pretty far from civilization. "Mimura, would you mind if I asked a question? I know you should rest but I'm curious as to how you know your mate? What if you got the wrong one?"

[Kotorichan]

Mimura felt his chest tighten, was Loki already regretting asking to be Mimura's lover..? "I... There isn't some special way to tell..." He said softly, trying his best to keep the pain and fear out of his voice. "You just have to spend time with someone and eventually you'll figure out your feelings for them..." He slowly let go of the cat. "If... If you h-have realized that your feelings for me a-aren't what you thought then..." He bit his lip, unable to continue the thought. It was too painful, he had only just met Loki and was already able to feel so relaxed and happy with the cat. And now he already had to say goodbye...?

"T-that' not it!!! I'm sorry if I offended you!!! I was really just wondering because back where I use to live, we know who is suppose to be the dragon's mate by a mark born onto their body like the one I have on my back but since it wasn't like Dragons have the same mark... and that you couldn't see... I just was wondering how you knew I was the one.... I promise, I want to be here with you and that I really like you... Sorry for making you worry," Loki was frantic to get out what he needed to say but now he looked down sadly and lowered his ears wishing he never brought it up...

[Kotorichan]

Mimura shook his head sadly. "There's no way to tell right away... A mate is just someone you feel happy and safe with, and that you want to spend the rest of your life with" He slowly stood up. "It isn't my feelings you have to worry about... I'm so happy to have you here. But if you want to see the world and meet new people then all I'll do is hold you back. You're so young, I can't possibly ask you to stay with someone like me just because I'm happy..."

"I'm sorry I brought it up I was just too curious. I really like you Mimura and I promise, after dinner I'll show you. I want to stay, I don't want to leave you. I'd rather live in this dark cave forever than to travel the world without you!!" Loki just hoped his feelings were getting across. There was no way to tell since Loki wasn't good with his feelings but he didn't want to be apart from Mimura anymore.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura sat down next to the bag of food. "I don't want to force you... Please don'y feel guilty about leaving me alone" He took a deep breath trying to hold back tears. "I.. I'll be okay if you want to go travelling, and you'll always be welcome to come back"

[WolfDog12]

"Stop it!!! You're sounding like those villagers that just want me gone, that it will "Be a better place for you"... Please let me stay here with you!!! I don't want to go anywhere else.... I just want a place to call home and feel welcomed there...." Loki dropped to the floor looking down. His closed off heart was starting to melt and for the first time in a long time, the cat began to shed some tears. He sniffled and gripped desperately at the ground.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura gasped softly at the sound of the cat crying. "L-Loki, I didn't mean it that way" He moved towards the boy, reaching out for him. "I just don't want you to settle for me just because I was the first dragon you met. I just want you to be happy, and if you really think that I can be the one for you then..."

[WolfDog12]

"I hated dragons until I met you... I don't want to find another!" He stated letting his tears finish. "I want to stay so please don't think I'd rather travel. I'm fine right where I am!! Besides, I promised you that I'd be your eyes. Can't do that if you're not there with me!" Loki was stubborn but could you blame him? The feline wanted to explore but rather not be rejected to do so.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura managed to find the cat and pulled him into a tight hug. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to upset you..." He kissed Loki gently. "I'd be happy for you to stay with me... Perhaps someday we can try going traveling together. Since you'll be my eyes from now on" he smiled gently.

"That sounds like much better idea," He stated feeling happier again. Loki then reached up and kissed the dragon. "That's our promise!" he smiled a bit wiping the last of is tears off his face and relaxing again. "For that you owe me!! Now you have to be spoiled for the day and tell me to do anything you want. This is one of the only ways I'll be able to make you feel good as well," Loki stated. That probably came out wrong but he had a childish way of thinking so it seemed normal.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura blushed softly at the cat's words, trying not to let himself think of anything sexual. "Ah.. I'll let you know if I think of anything..." He stood up and walked over to the pile of firewood in the corner of the cave. He was very familiar with the layout of his home.

"Ok," Loki stated obliviously. He didn't know where Mimura's mind could go, how could he. For now, Loki just sat down and waited for the food to be ready. He was pretty famished now and was excited to think of what the dragon could cook... though it was strange to think about it since he seemed to eat food raw himself... why would he know how to cook? Was it for Loki specifically?

[Kotorichan]

Mimura set up a fire, using his breath to light it into a bright blaze. He brought out the raw meat and fish and began to season them with the herbs he bought. He slipped off his robes and set them to the side so they wouldn't get burnt as he cooked. He lay down a rock in the center of the fire and put the fish on it so they could cook. It was very easy for the dragon because even in his human form he couldn't be hurt by the fire, so he was able to pick up and move the flaming logs without and hesitation. He sat back and allowed the fish to cook.

Loki watched from the distance as the dragon worked hard to cook the fish. It smelled so good that it was hard to resist the meat but he had to wait until it was cooked. "So who taught you how to cook? It doesn't seem like something one just knows." Loki really wanted to know more about Mimura.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura hesitated for a moment before responding. "Before I lost my sight... I had a lover who ate cooked food. He taught me how to cook..." He went quiet, trying not to focus on the memories too much. He breathed in the scent of the fish to make sure it was fully cooked before taking them out of the fire and putting them on a cool stone. "Don't touch it yet, it's hot..." He picked up his own meat and breathed fire over it, lightly searing the outside of it.

Loki could see that Mimura was sad and had to remember just how old Mimura was. Of course he would have lovers before Loki... He shook his head and got it out of his head before the tension got any worse. "It smells really good," he stated excitedly, getting up and moving closer. Loki did as he was told and didn't touch but simply admired the look of the cooked fish as well as the smell.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura gently pulled Loki into his arms. "It has been centuries..." He murmured. "My feelings are all for you now" He gently kissed the top of his head before pulling away. "You can go ahead and touch the fish now. Just be careful not to burn yourself. Alright?"

Loki was happy to be kissed but when he was released, he got the fish and ate it carefully making sure not to burn himself. "WOW This is amazing!!!" he cheered. Loki devoured every last bit almost a little happy that Mimura didn't eat cooked food. "Ok, so when you're done eating you better make that request of me!!" Loki clearly wasn't going to forget or let that one go. This was serious.

[Kotorichan]

Mimura blushed softly as he was reminded about his 'request.' "I-I'll have to think of something..." He murmured. He made sure to take his time to eat, giving himself plenty of time to think of a request. Once he finished he turned to Loki. "I think I know what I want to ask for..."

"Really? Ok, what would you like from me?" Loki asked feeling happy to finally be able to repay at least some of Mimura's kindness. Though, hopefully it wasn't something like take a nap or something. Loki wanted to feel useful and not someone Mimura just had to take care of all the time.

[Kotorichan]

"Would you help me 'see' what you look like?" Mimura asked softly. "I want to feel the features on your face and have you describe the color of your hair, eyes and skin... and anything about you that I can't feel with my hands" He fidgeted with his hair, nervous that it would come across as strange.

[WolfDog12]

"Ok," Loki stated and sat in front of Mimura. He took the dragon's hands and placed them on his head. "We can start from the top. I have brown hair and fur so it even looks like my ears just blend into my hair making it almost look like bed head. I don't have human ears like you do, sorry." He easily explained while Mimura's hands moved around. "One eye is covered by hair because I can't see out that eye. Due to an accident I lost sight so I just keep the scar hidden." He let Mimura feel over the scar that went down his closed lid covering part of the forehead and the cheek showing just how large it was. My left eye works really well and it's a deep red color with slits as pupils since I'm a cat and all. As for my skin... all I can say is that I'm as pale as a ghost from lack of sun exposure."

Mimura listened intenty. His fingers gently moving to feel each feature as it was described to him. "You're so beautiful..." He murmured once he had a clear image of his lover. "Thank you so much" He leaned in and gently kissed Loki's forehead. "I don't know if you can really understand how much it means for me to be able to actually 'see' someone"

"I don't know if I fully understand what you're going through but I can see that you're happy now and that makes me happy in turn." He smiled and hugged the dragon, pressing his head into the other's chest. "I'm glad I can see you because you're really cool looking and your scales are really pretty," he explained.
