Familiar Love (Pigeon and Rin)

[Kotorichan]

Lan couldn't help but laugh at the question. "Yeah, it's comforting. Especially coming from you" He reached over and gave Yukio's hand a quick squeeze before letting go. "I know that you're trying really hard to make me feel better... A lot of people just say whatever they think will make me shut up" He chuckled softly and looked over at Caleb. "Like I said before... I'm not planning on giving up"

"Good boy," he praised the other in a teasing way and with the same teasing smirk on his lips. He sighed in the next moment and crossed his legs. His eyes moving around, scanning the area. "Now that you know the way, you can come here some time with Caleb. Like, kinda spend time with him and being able to work meanwhile. If that sounds like it would make sense. Also, don't think like an adult. Like, he is a kid. He isn't complicated. He does notice stuff since his senses are really good and his psychological level is perfect at this age, though his mind still doesn't follow the paths yours does. Meaning, the moment you think you are spending too little time with him, he might just be fine with playing by himself. Like right now. He just wants your presence and wants to know that you are there, wants to notice you. And be noticed as well. You get me? So don't wear yourself down more than you already do."

 

He leaned to the side, giving his lover a mean push against the upper arm. "Take my advice or else I'll tickle you."

[Kotorichan]

"I know he's been affected by Jessica... I mean he's used to being yelled out if he makes noise when he plays. I'm hoping that being somewhere safe will help him relax. And if I can get on a better schedule with work then I'd be able to spend more time with him. So that'd be good..." Lan turned to Yukio with a flirtatious smirk. "That's not exactly taking your advice is it? Maybe you'll have to 'punish' me~" He teased, lightly nudging the other man.

"Look at the bright side: He is a kid. He can still learn to handle things and school and stuff will distract him."

 

A chuckle passed Yukio's lips and he leaned with his shoulder against Lan's upper arm. "Yes... Yes I really need to. You've become so disobedient~" He added in a mumble, grinning mischievously. He had missed this.

[Kotorichan]

"Oh? Do you have something in mind?" Lan lightly traced his fingers over Yukio's hand. "I've been left alone so long that I must've become a bit wild huh?" He really loved this, being able to flirt and joke with someone he really loved. It would be so nice to just pull the other man close and kiss him again. But they were in public... He couldn't do any more than just light touches.

They had always been a rough couple. To strangers it must have seem ridiculous, as if they were fighting for dominance, though to them it was something special. Just their own little thing.

 

"Of course I do," Yukio answered in a whisper, uncrossing his legs and bending them in front of him on the bench. His arms he wrapped around his knees. Well, society was a bitch. He wished they could touch each other more, or at least exchange kisses, like hetero couples were allowed to, but people would notice, see and probably even insult them. It was ridiculous considering they lived in the 21st century.

 

"I improved my way of tying knots. You won't so easily escape like seven years ago."

[Kotorichan]

Lan shivered with excitement at the idea. "I've completely lost practice, you'll be able to escape way more easily..." He chuckled softly "Maybe you'll just have to teach me~" He gave Yukio's hand another quick squeeze. "I've heard hands-on learning is the best method..."

He glanced over at Caleb who had started playing with some of the other kids. He smiled and turned back to Yukio again, relaxed now that he knew Caleb was okay.

"Finally," Yukio laughed. Lan was way stronger than he was so it had always been quite the challenge. He did have a thing for challenges, though, which explained his teasing attitude.

 

"What a coincidence, I've heard the same," he then added grinning, taking Lan's hand with his own both and slightly toying with it. It was big compared to his own. "It will be an honour to teach you after so many years. You have to be up-to-date, after all~" His glance went from the hand back to Lan. "Not that you have a choice. Unless you want me to pretend like you had."

[Kotorichan]

"I'd love to have you teach me" Lan let his hand relax so Yukio could play with it easily. He grinned and leaned in a little closer. "I hope you have night classes~" He glanced around to make sure no one was watching then pressed a quick kiss to the corner of Yukio's mouth. He pulled back before anyone could see and smiled at his lover. "I really missed you... So, so much"

"Hmm... I am sure I can make an exception for you~" The grin turned into a slight smile when he was kissed at the corner of his mouth, glancing towards the playground before his gaze met Lan's face once more. "I have also discovered that my classes are perfect to cure stress. Sounds good?"

[Kotorichan]

"Doesn't school usually cause stress?" Lan chuckled softly. "But yeah, it sounds perfect..." He smiled sweetly. "I really wish I could just make out with you right now..." He said softly, making sure it couldn't be heard by anyone else. "Just forget everything else for a few minutes and be with you..."

Yukio laid his head back and stared into Lan's eyes with this usual cool expression. Though there was a touch of tenderness it which only showed when Lan was around. Even with his cool attitude it was easy to see that he was quite obsessed with this man.

 

"At home."

 

And preferably when Caleb was asleep or something. He thought it would be quite hard to have much privacy with a kid around that sought endless attention form his father.

 

"Just wait for us to get home and you'll be free to do anything, okay?" He was careless with offers like that. Whether or not that was a bad habit, was everyone's own choice.

[Kotorichan]

"Don't make promises you can't keep" Lan warned with a flirtatious smirk. "I'm gonna be keeping you up all night if you let me... I have a lot of 'stress' built up" There were years of fantasies and dreams that he had built up, it was not a good idea for Yukio to offer to fulfill all of those in one night. "Besides, where are we gonna go? I think the bathroom will get a bit cramped after awhile"

"Tch," the smaller one snorted, briefly digging one of his nails into the back of Lan's hand. "Who knows? Maybe I have improved as a whole and need less sleep than you? Or have become stronger? Hmmmm?" Yukio leaned in to the other, as if daring him to claim otherwise.

 

"True," then replied. "Voices echo in there, too." And he hadn't become very 'quieter' over the years... "We could claim the bedroom if Caleb is easy to fascinate with movies.. Or the couch when he sleeps in the bedroom. I have no idea. In fact, I have only one small room unused and I do have gotten an extra mattress for unexpected guests. You'd just have to be creative since it's half of my kitchen. It's like a storeroom with a desk and some stuff in there."

[Kotorichan]

"I'm sure I can be creative" Lan said with a smirk. "And I can always gag you if you're being too loud..." He chuckled softly. "I'm sure you can figure out a way to tie me up so I don't take up too much space... You did say you got better ri-" He stopped himself when he saw Caleb running over.

The little boy was smiling brightly. "Daddy, daddy look!" He held up a four leaf clover for the man to see. "It's lucky!"

Lan smiled and leaned down to get a better look. "Wow, did you find that yourself?"

Caleb nodded and put it in Lan's hand. "It's a present!"

Yukio flinched slightly when Lan interrupted himself and Caleb came over. Christ, unexpected.

He watched the scene, letting go of his lover's hand and leaning back against the bench. Ah, a four-leaved clover. He wasn't one to believe in simple things like such a clover offering good luck. It was a nice thing to believe in, though, he found.

[Kotorichan]

"Oh, thank you so much sweetie" Lan gently kissed the top of his head.

Caleb looked up at Yukio for a moment then back to Lan. "I'm gonna find another one..." He said quietly before running off again.

Lan waved to him, smiling brightly. "I think he's gonna look for one for you"

"He doesn't have to, though," Yukio said, a little confused. "I don't believe in such things. And he wastes energy for it." A sigh. "Not that i want to be a fun killer or something. If that is fun for him." After all those years he couldn't relate, but he guessed barely anyone could. Kids were just tiny, little humans that wanted to have fun and discover whatever was hiding or what they hadn't seen yet. Later on one just learned things, was confronted with truths they didn't want to know, and saw things they didn't care to see.

 

Ah, whatever. "You're not gonna get him a smartphone at his tenth birthday, though, right? I hate how spoilt this generation's children are."

[Kotorichan]

"I don't really believe in those things either. But he does. So giving me these things are important to him. Because he thinks He's giving me luck." Lan smiled at Yukio. "So it makes him happy, and shows me that he cares"

 

He chuckled at the last question. "I wish I could spoil him... After all this" He sighed and leaned back against the bench. "I can't afford that kind of thing now... And his tenth birthday isn't for six more years. I don't know how expensive things will be, or if there'll be anything besides smartphones that far from now." He lightly squeezed Yukio's hand. "Honestly though, I'm not planning on spoiling him. I am planning on making him happy though"

"True. Maybe then we will already have phones that can walk and speak to us. And cars that only need our voice to function. It would give me trust issues, though," Yukio answered, leaning his shoulder against Lan's. "Nice that you want to make him happy. Good thing. Children of weird parents always become a good parent." And hell, Lan's were weird enough.

 

"Does he like animals? I'm thinking of getting a second cat since Lisa has become so shy and been hiding ever since you two have arrived."

[Kotorichan]

"Oh, yeah he loves animals" Lan gave Yukio another bright smile. "He's been pretty sad that he hasn't been able to pet your cat yet. We had to leave his guinea pig behind when we left and none of the other people we stayed with had pets" He played with the other man's fingers.

"Yeah, she is already naturally shy and new faces scare her. Maybe with a new companion she'll be fine again," the raven answered, looking up towards the sky. "I mean, animals are weird anyway. I actually wanted a snake, though I would have needed to buy food that was alive and before that I wanted to have more .. comfortable pet." And cats were the best base.

[Kotorichan]

"I think Caleb would cry if he saw a snake being fed..." Lan sighed.

Caleb came running back holding up another four leaf clover. "I found it!" He stopped and stared at Yukio for a moment before setting it on his knee and running off again.

Lan watched with a smile. "I think he likes you"

"Sounds... like it. Or looks like it." Yukio lifted the clover up. "I don't dislike him."

 

I like him as well sounded so... wrong. At least spoken with his voice, his found.

 

Another hour passed until Caleb seemed to at least have little energy left. They made their way home. Yukio unlocked the door, let his guests enter and closed it behind him, locking it twice. He tossed the keys onto the coffee table in front of the couch and then walked over to the windows to pull the curtains close. "What do you want for Lunch?" He asked instantly.

Caleb immediately ran off to the bedroom to get his stuffed parrot.

"You mean dinner?" Lan chuckled softly and walked over to Yukio, gently pulling him into a hug. "I can cook if you want... We're already intruding on your life just by being here aren't we?" He lightly nuzzled the man's hair. "I don't wanna cause you anymore problems than I have to..."
