StainedCrimson
Haimo blinks at him as if uncomprehending the question. "You are Omega." He states as if that explained everything and makes all the sense in the world. And to him it does. It would to anyone in the Clan. From the oldest dragon to the youngest. All will know him as the Omega and treat him accordingly. At the next question he snorts. "If we went into a week long rut every month we would have time for little else. No, it happens twice a year. Once as summer passes fully into fall, and then again as spring arrives. We are nearing the time for the fall Rut. Due to you being omega you will have to stay closeted within my home to avoid any risks to you or them." As once Rut passed if someone tried to take his little wolf then he would take the payment of flesh out of the other. "However, that will also mean I will be out of the dwelling at that time to make certain of your safety as well. Or if I am here I will not be leaving my room." The unsaid being that he would be busy with whomever he has with him in his room.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken rose his eyebrows, the "explanation" not really giving any actual information to him. "I'm not sure that's the same as in my pack. Could you explain further?" He requested, feeling rather stupid. It seemed like he should know what and who he was, but in the new environment, he really couldn't be sure of anything. That was proven quickly as Haimo shot down his guess about how often dragons went into the Rut. His eyebrows furrowed slightly, looking up at the dragon. "What risk could I pose to anyone else?" He asked, lightly running a hand over his hair. He needed to tie it up again. The young werewolf glanced at the pan as Haimo said he would have to be in the house at all times during the Rut. That sounded rather boring, actually. Especially if he had to listen to the dragon mating with someone next door... It was weird. He already found himself drawn to the other, he'd never felt something like that before.
StainedCrimson
At the request for more explanation, Haimo blinks and frowns. Nearly scowling. "You're pack must be very uninformed or backwards if you do not know the role an omega plays." He huffs, smoke slipping out again as if to signal his irritation at the lack of information and sense of worth the other has. It's downright disgraceful that Ken doesn't know how important omegas are. while they may not be fighters or very strong physically, but they help maintain the mental and emotional welfare of where ever they are. The price for that is them needing to be with others all the time. At the question, his gaze snaps back to the wolf, eyes very much dragon. "The threat you pose little wolf, is that should any try to take you during Rut I would take payment out of their flesh for touching you. As you are mine." He growls out, teeth slightly bared, making it very clear that he is not going to share or let anyone else touch his wolf. Snorting, a small bit of flame coming out this time, he continues. "So for their safety and yours, as you could be seriously hurt if a dragon went after you caught in the Rut, you'll have to stay in the house. I'll try to be elsewhere during it so you'll not be uncomfortable." Even though he knows it will make the other uncomfortable if he's in the dwelling with another during his rut, he's still disgruntled at the thought of leaving him virtually unprotected. "I will see if I can find a non-dragon who will be a suitable companion for you during the time so you won't be on your own."
Zombie_In_A_Box
"In my pack an omega is the lowest rank." Ken spoke, looking down at his feet. He sometimes actually found it disgraceful for him to be an omega. His family had expected for him to be in the higher ranks when he was born, a healthy, strong boy, but... Instead, he was dissappointing. The redhead leaned against the counter slightly, his lips pursed into a tight frown. Omegas in his pack were like servants, often used as mates or near tools to carry out children. Of course he wanted to know how it was here, in hopes that it was better. As Haimo declared that Ken belonged to him, and in such tone, the werewolf pretty much froze - both in fear and surprise. He had no idea how to respond to that, his heart pounding in his chest, making blood rush through his body. He just nodded slightly, a shiver running down his body from the pure power in Haimo's voice. It was terrifying, honestly. "I... Thank you." He muttered in response to the dragon promising to find him someone to be with during the Rut. He raised his trembling hand up, tucking his hair behind his ear in an attempt to call himself down. The redhead took in a deep breath, looking back up at the other's face. "Why did you take me out of all the... Slaves?" He asked, the word 'slave' not quite coming out easily. StainedCrimson
Hearing how things were in Ken's pack, his eyes narrow and another growl slides out. "Then your pack was made up of fools. Omegas are not slaves or the lowest. They may have no direct rank of power associated with them, but all know that happy and healthy packs, clans, and so forth all have one thing in common. At least one omega who tends to their happiness and emotional well being. They are the peace keepers and heart. They are those that are to be protected and cared for in return." His voice is to the point and brooking no argument. The words spoken are truth and law. So help those who break it. Letting out an amused snort, he nods in acceptance of the thanks. When asked why he took Ken, he scowls harder. "Why would I not claim an omega such as yourself for my own?" His scowl only deepens at the word 'slave'. "You are not slaves. We do not have slaves here. If a living being is kept by any dragon upon finding, it is because they appeal to them and wanted for what they are. Dragons do not keep things that are not worth keeping. And you, little omega, are by far worth keeping. If I were not Alpha then I would have fought to have you, despite my prowess having earned me the right of choosing my prize." What was his little wolf's life like to where he views himself so little? He is very much tempted to find Ken's former pack to teach them proper respect towards their omegas. "Even if I hadn't claimed you, like the others you would have been cleaned, fed and then housing found for you before finding ways for you to earn your stay here by helping with various tasks. Everyone contributes. Very few ever willingly leave once settled in." Of that he was proud. Not too mention some are usually taken in by dragons as treasure as well. So then they're even more cared for.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken found it odd, how Haimo described omegas. He always thought it wasn't honorable, to say the least, to be one. Or maybe it was just his family. Power seemed to be everything to them, so of course a son omega wasn't something they ever wanted. The werewolf managed a small smile, actually relieved to hear how different his rank was here. Ken didn't even realize his cheeks had turned a soft red at the posessiveness in the Alpha's voice. It was more than nice to actually be wanted, and not purely for his body. "So... You mean that everyone accepts the outsiders here?" It sounded like a dream. He'd witnessed humans being treated no better than pigs by his fellow pack mates. Perhaps werewolves were simply more agressive, with less thought than dragons. One could only imagine how out of place Ken felt among them. The redhead glanced back at the pan, quickly flipping the bacon to make sure it didn't burn. "Is there a lot for me to learn until I can go out?" He inquired, his hair falling in his face slightly as he leaned down to check if the bacon had cooked properly. Ken let his tongue part his lips slightly to wet them, hunger rising in him. He often found that around the full moon his hunger actually grew. It was often explained as a werewolf's body getting ready to supply more energy during the turn. "Oh, can I eat whenever I want or am I to wait for you?" Ken asked, looking up at the dragon questioningly.
StainedCrimson
Haimo shakes his head at the question. "No, we do not accept outsiders. We tolerate those we do trade with and those who have bartered for rights to pass through our lands, but we do not tolerate trespassers or outsiders. Those we bring back with us here are those we are allowing to stay and will be accepted by all. Those we do not accept are either killed upon finding or chased off." His tone is flat, almost bored with the thought, as he thinks back to the owner of the caravan Ken had been in. Haimo gets a faint smile at the next question. "It would seem so as you are so filled with questions it seems they will never end." He teases though it's a bit hard to tell since his voice doesn't change overmuch. "You will settle in here for a few days and then I will start escorting you around. As for food, the main meals I would like for us to enjoy together but my duties may not always allow for such. Should that happen you are free to eat without me and if you get hungry between meals you are welcome to whatever is here." Peering over the wolf's shoulder he sniffs and looks at the bacon. "You will want to make much more." He advises before stepping back to make some tea to go with breakfast. "After breakfast and things are in order, I will show you around my private property so you may at least go outside and enjoy it a little within the boundaries." Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken listened with tints of fear growing inside again. It was still better than his pack, where no creatures from outside, no matter what, were accepted as members of the pack. He swallowed down, nodding slightly. He was certainly glad he wasn't killed off... But now that he thought about it, he only saw the intended slaves brought here, none of the people in charge. Had they been killed as well? The werewolf got a small tint on his cheeks as he was teased. Despite the other's voice not changing, Ken had no problem reading others' emotions. "Okay, thank you." He thought about telling the dragon about the increase of hunger during full moon, but decided that was unnecessary. He didn't want to bother Haimo too much and get annoying. The dragon was still scary. Ken hummed in agreement and, after taking out the first bacon stripes, dumped a whole lot more in the pan, moving them around with a spatula to make sure it didn't burn. "Is your private property that big?" He asked uncertainly, glancing up at the taller male. He supposed that an alpha would have the biggest property, but was it so big it needed a tour around it? StainedCrimson
Haimo shrugs and settles down with the drink at the question. "It is large enough. The Clan's territory covers most of the mountain so there's no shortage of space, but my personal area is such that unless invited you won't be bothered by others like you would if you stumble off of them." While no worry about Ken going too high, as after a certain point the air would be too thin, there is concern about wandering too far off in either direction. "A simple explanation would suffice of general landmarks, but there's a certain distance you need to stay in until at least the Rut has passed to be safe." He sniffs appreciatively as more bacon is cooked. Much like Ken he will be eating more to have a large storage of energy and sustenance to see him through his week long rut. As the thought crosses his mind he once more wonders who he should approach for it. There are still a numerous of unmated males he can go to, but he wants to make sure to avoid asking too many of the same ones in a row. Or else he runs the risk of them thinking he's looking at them as potential mates. Letting out a sigh, he takes a deep drink of his tea. That is not something he's looking forward to. He's quickly approaching the time where he'll have to take a mate or risk losing his position as Alpha. It's an inconvenience but necessary as he can already tell that his rising aggression and near brutal rutting are going to be problematic if not tempered by a mate soon. Looking at the wolf he wonders how wolves are in regards to that topic. "Ken, what is a wolf pack like when it comes to ranking and mates?" He asks seeing no point in not asking someone who would be familiar with the inner workings instead of relying on possibly unreliable books or informants. Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken nodded, realizing the reason well enough. "Okay, I understand." He said, flipping the bacon in the pan to let it cook for a bit before moving it all into a plate. Once that was done, the werewolf cracked five eggs into the pan to cook next to the bacon. He was trying to distance himself, in a way, from the fact that Rut was coming. It was still a scary concept, especially for an omega. Anyone could take him as a mate. "A wolf pack? Well... There's an Alpha, who gets to take whatever mate he wants. There are no restrictions. If he wishes to, he can claim someone else's mate as well. Then a Beta, although in my pack there were two. They can also claim someone else's mate, with the exception of the Alpha. Then there are two pairs of Sentinels, who can take only unmated wolves. Then... At the very bottom, omegas. Omegas are seen as the least respected, only good to satisfy someone else's needs. Omegas aren't trusted in the pack, and sonetimes will be not given the basic needs to survive, as food or somewhere to sleep." As he finished, Ken dumped the eggs into the plate as well and brought it to the table. "Is there anything else you want to know?" He asked, although ir hurt, and not just slightly, to talk about this, especially when it came to omegas.
StainedCrimson
At the explanation Haimo gives a derisive snort. It's not wonder humans try to hunt wolves. They have things so skewed that their packs are in shambles probably leading them to be insane. Or at the very least this seems to be the case with Ken's former pack. Smelling his little omega's hurt he goes over and wraps an arm around the slim shoulders, pulling him close while petting his hair a little. "No little wolf, that is quite plenty about your former pack. You need not worry about them anymore." Although there is one concern as far as his wolf goes. "No one forced their needs on you or claimed you as a mate did they?" If his wolf already had a mate he was sure he'd smell a bonding mark of some kind, though if the mate had allowed Ken to be sold without a fight then Haimo would have hunted the wolf down personally. To take and then abandon a mate was not something even something to think about. At this point he's considering seriously hunting down Ken's old pack and eating them just to be rid of them and turn them into what they are. Shit. The thought makes him let out faint amused sound. Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken could barely believe how quickly the other managed to relax him, even after talking about such things. He rubbed his head into the hand petting him slightly, his eyes closing for the few moments of peace. He truly did crave attention, at every moment of his day. If he was so quick to let Haimo so close, it truly showed how he was usually refused any gentler touch in fear of making him feel... Well, wanted. "No one claimed me as a mate, but as I'm old enough, some have... Err... Used me?" He ended in a somewhat questioning tone, looking up at the dragon. "Is that bad?" He asked, lightly placing one hand over the dragon's. Others hesitated to take omegas as mates. Mating with one was bound to make others distrust you, and one could end up being forced down their rank to an omega as well. No one wanted that, obviously. "It's going to get cold. We should eat." Ken added, using whatever chance he got to get rid of the thoughts in his head. He didn't really like talks like this. They made him feel sad, depressed even. StainedCrimson
Haimo pauses knowing his response can either help the other trust him, or make him keep his distance. "It isn't bad if you wanted it or had to do it for your safety. If you were forced then it still doesn't make it bad as your choice was taken away. Here you will always have a choice." He says finally and after a few more pets steps away to sit down and eat. Taking his place he once more settles the wolf on his lap easily smelling the sadness coming off of him. Taking a good portion of the food onto a plate, he sets the plate in front of them for them to share from. If they finish it off there's still plenty on the other they can eat. While he eats a good portion of the food himself, he makes sure that Ken eats almost half of everything. Once all the food is gone he lets out a soft sigh. "That was good. Once things are cleaned up and we get ready we'll go out." Even though he says that, he makes no move to hurry the other off of his lap.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken looked down at his feet, lightly rubbing at his eye. So, it wasn't bad either way. He couldn't say he really wanted it. Genuinely, he disliked being used one time and then thrown for someone else, like some toy. So no, he didn't want it, but he had to do it so he wouldn't be killed. While most of the time he got pleasure out of it as well as the one using him, he would've preferred the whole process to be finished off with something other than telling him to leave. Maybe here he wouldn't be treated this way? The werewolf found himself a bit surprised as he was seated on Haimo's lap again, but he wasn't going to complain. He made himself comfortable, finding a good spot for his head - right between the dragon's shoulder and neck. Like this, the redhead was able to eat comfortably, and the rhythmic beating of the other's heart was soothing. By the time they were finished, Ken was so full he felt like he could explode. His eyes closed as he relaxed against Haimo's body, a quiet sigh parting his lips at his words. "Would you happen to have pants more my size, though?" He asked while opening his eyes, moving a bit to get off the dragon's lap and begin cleaning.
StainedCrimson
His fingers lightly squeeze the hip within their grasp before letting the other slide off to clean. "I might have something. Though taking you to get clothes might have to be on the list for today as well, or at least sooner versus later so you have things that will fit." Haimo frowns and rumbles displeased a bit at having to let others see his omega so soon, but having the other be comfortable is more important than his desire to monopolize his time an attention. With a near put off sigh, he finally lets the other get to cleaning so he can go look for something the little wolf can wear. Unfortunately, as he digs through the extra clothing he has and that has accumulated through the years there is very little that would fit his little wolf well. Though he has no issue with seeing the other in his clothing. The thought actually makes him smile a little. Taking the few things that might work he goes to present them to Ken. One is a pair of his smaller pants which would still be too large, another is something left there sometime ago but are shredded fairly well so it shows a good chunk of skin, and the last are really more suited to being sleeping shorts or swim shorts than wearing them in public. Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken looked down at the fingers squeezing his hip, a small shiver running down his back. Usually touches like this only meant one thing, but Haimo just let him go afterwards. The werewolf let out a relieved breath and began washing the dishes, his milky skin clear of any marks. Although now, that he was standing in good lighting, it was obvious he was a bit too thin to look absolutely healthy. "Okay, that sounds great." He smiled, glancing back at Haimo. He was excited to go shopping, he rarely ever did. What he usually wore were hand-me-downs, so new clothes were something fascinating, even. When the dragon got back with pants, Ken was already done with the dishes, having put everything away where they belonged. As he was given a choice, the werewolf quickly looked through the different options and decided on the ones that weren't torn, but a bit too big for his frame. He could just tie them so they held on his hips. Ken glanced up, a warm smile gracing his features. "I'll take these." He said, moving a bit to put them on. The redhead loved how soft the fabric felt, it was so nice against his skin...
StainedCrimson
Seeing the other get excited over the thought of shopping causes him to huff slightly but it's good to see the other perk up. When his pants are chosen, he almost preens feeling nearly ridiculously pleased at his clothing being picked. "I'm glad one was to your liking. I'm going to wash first and then we can go." With that he takes the other items to put back then takes a quick dip into the heated pool that serves as his bath. Swiftly drying off and getting dressed, he gives a quick brushing to his hair before going out to see if Ken is ready to go. "We'll go out this door." When Ken is ready he points to a door that's almost tucked into a corner of the kitchen. Opening it reveals a large cleared section before wooded areas form. "You may enjoy this area as much as you please. It will be safe." He states before heading to the left and for the woods. "I will take you to the general lines to hold to at least until the Rut is over with. After that we can go further out." After about twenty minutes they come to a small stream. "This is one boundary and it will curve up and around a good portion of the rest." following it they eventually part with the stream and keep going until they come to a cliff side. "This is the other. Once you hit this one you shouldn't go further but all the areas between this and the stream I showed you earlier you may enjoy without fear." Lifting his head he takes a deep breath of the clean crisp air and hums deep in his chest. He'd like to spread his wings for a bit but his wolf needs clothing so they should head towards town. "Alright little wolf, let's go get you some clothing that fits now. As much as I enjoy seeing you wearing mine, I think you'd be happier with your own." Turning he starts to head back to the house so they can take the path down into town.
Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken smiled and nodded, walking to his bedroom to put on his worn off shoes. They're better than going bare-feet, at least. The werewolf walked out of the room, looking rather funny with the clothes too big on him, but he looked happy, a smile on his face. By now he was certain that his life would truly take a turn for the better. He was curious to see what the dragon life was like - if even ranks were that different from wolves', he could only imagine how different other parts were. As Haimo came back, the redhead followed him with a soft hum, his eyes sparkling with excitement as they go outside. He'd always loved nature, although that was possibly just a trait of his species. The redhead's steps gained a bit of a skip as he walked after the other, looking around almost like a child in a new amusement park. "This is so big..." He muttered under his breath, a wide smile on his face. As they kept walking, Ken found himself getting tired. Twenty minutes in, his breathing had become uneven, sweat beading on his forehead. "W-Wait, can we... Just a bit..." He called after Haimo, lightly fanning himself to cool off. He shouldn't have gotten this tired, but given how he lived his last few days with the wolves, it wasn't that big of a surprise how quickly his body got tired. The werewolf leaned against one of the trees, looking up at the sky. "Will you be able to find me if I'm somewhere here?" He asked, brushing his hand over his forehead to wipe off the few drops of sweat.
StainedCrimson
Surprised by how quickly the wolf gets tired, he merely blinks at him for a few moments. At the question he frowns a bit wondering if the other is doubting his abilities as a hunter. "Of course I could. Finding you would be fairly easy for me should you get lost or be in need of rescuing." Stepping closer, he critically looks over Ken's face. The frown is still there but seems to soften slightly. "Are you alright? Perhaps this is a bit too much for you so soon after you've arrived." Straightening he looks around for a moment then huffs. "Perhaps it would be easier if we flew and I showed you the marks or took you to town." Though the meaning of letting the other ride him would be lost on the other, the reaction of his clan and the meeting that would happen following it, it is still something he is willing to do for his little wolf. At least once at any rate. If he did it too much then it would be read incorrectly by his Clan and that is not something he's willing to deal with just yet. Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken looked up, embarrassment flooding over him. "Sorry, I didn't mean that you-... I mean..." He stumbled over his own words as his cheeks grew redder. The werewolf groaned softly, rubbing his face. "I'm fine, I just need a little bit... Just a few minutes." He breathed out, letting himself slide down to the ground, a nervous smile on his face. However, when he was offered to be carried on the dragon's back, Ken couldn't hide his surprise. His lips parted, leaving him with a dumbfounded expression. "You'd really do that?.. I... I'd really like that!" The werewolf replied excitedly, albeit still panting. He got back up on his feet after a short bit of sitting, feeling rested enough to manage walking some more. "Is it really okay?" Ken asked with his eyebrows raised a bit. He really, really wanted to see what it felt like to be up from the ground, so carefree in the sky, but something told him it could have consequences that wouldn't be so good. "I mean, I'll be good to walk now, so you don't really have to..." He trailed off, swallowing down a bit nervously.
StainedCrimson
He lets out an unimpressed snort, smoke making an appearance. "I am not one to make offers I do not mean. If just a short flight showing you the edges of where you'll be most safe during the Rut then it will be fine. We will stop back at the house and walk into the main gathering area from there." That would be the best compromise for the problem at hand, though perhaps his wolf has more energy and stamina in his wolf form than human so making sure the boundaries are known is important. Stripping and folding his clothes off to the side, he then seamlessly shifts into his dragon form. Stretching both body and wings, he lets out a low contented hum at being in this form. There's nothing quite like it, though feeling skin against skin is a definite plus for his human shape. Easily being large enough to be on par with some of the largest trees around them, it's clear that letting the small wolf ride on him will be nothing to him. Shifting himself so ken can use a front leg to climb up onto his neck juncture to sit between some large spikes, he then straightens before moving to have the best use of space to take off. Crouching and curling his wings, with a push and swift downward motion of his wings they take off and are soon high and circling the area. In this form he radiates more heat but the scales, while hard, feel like living silk on top of a material much harder than steel. Keeping their first flight together fairly tame, he does only a few sharp banks as he circles the area and edges of where the other will be allowed to go. Circling the area a good three times, he then heads back to the house as he'd grabbed his clothes in one claw before they'd taken off. After Ken gets down, he shifts back to get dressed. "You should have a good idea of the areas to stay within now." He nods as though talking more to himself before looking at the wolf. "How did you enjoy flying?" Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken felt like he was a child again. Although his body tensed up as the other took of his clothes, it didn't last long. Soon enough, the gorgeous, strong, incredible creature appeared in front of him. The werewolf could barely hold his excitement in anymore. Wasting no time, the redhead climbed up the dragon's body and held on to one of the spikes in front of him. As they took off, he had to squeeze his eyes shut for a moment - being so high from the ground was a bit scary, after all. He did open his eyes soon enough, both because he had to see what were the edges of Haimo's territory were and because he wanted to see how the world looked from so high above. It was disappointing to go down, but every good thing had to end at one point. He got off the creature's back with trembling legs, eyes full of excitement and joy. "It was amazing!" He replied excitedly, running his hands through his hair, a wide smile on his face. "It's so scary, but it's so beautiful from up above... I loved it." The redhead ended with a wide smile and a light tone, truly looking more like a child on Christmas morning rather than a fully-grown werewolf. It was so easy to excite him, so easy to please him, he would give Haimo anything he asked in return for all this joy he was granted. Even if it meant doing something he didn't want to do. StainedCrimson
He gives an amused snort at the reply. "I suppose the first time is always so for most. Though when with me you never have need of being scared." Straightening his clothes and absently tossing his hair behind his shoulder before facing Ken again. "Now then, let's go get you some clothes." Seeing the other so happy, he just shakes his head with a small smile. "Come now pet, the shops and market are a little bit of a walk. We'll get lunch there so we can take our time." Placing a hand on the small of Ken's back, he leads them through the house to the front door and down the path that he'd originally led the wolf up just yesterday. Eventually they get to where there's a small open market set up. "Here are more of items for making clothes, various items and food. If you'd like to shop for ready to wear clothes we just have to get to the next section over." He waves a hand to indicate an area a few streets over. Zombie_In_A_Box
Ken grinned widely, following the dragon without any hesitation... Well, until it hit him what he'd been called as - pet. Was that who he was for Haimo? He didn't think it was too bad, but a small part of him somehow expected more. He pushed that part of him as deep down as he could so he wouldn't be selfish. He didn't have the damn right to be selfish. As he was led through the doors, the werewolf found himself enjoying the warmth from the other's hand on his back. Perhaps it was placed on a somewhat intimate place, but it didn't matter. "Oh, I... Maybe it's easier to shop for pre-made clothes? I mean, this would probably take long." Ken muttered as he motioned around himself. It was interesting to go out and see at least a part of the city, but he really felt out of place. His clothes, his looks, his everything just didn't fit in, at least it seemed like that for him. The quicker they got this over, the sooner he could imagine his perfect life and not have the idea ruined.
StainedCrimson
He glances down at the other out of the corner of his eye and gives a small amused grin. "Time is of no matter pet. It was merely a suggestion in case you'd like to make your own. Especially since soon you'll be somewhat confined while I will be out." Continuing to lead the other through the small market, though at a slower pace so if something catches Ken's eye they can stop for him to look and even get something. As they make their way through they of course garner looks from everyone. After all, it is not often their Alpha is seen walking with other anywhere besides his Betas and maybe Gammas, but to be walking with someone with a possessive hand on them well... That hasn't been seen ever. Of course, it's also not surprising given the status of the one walking by his side either. After a time they make their way out of the market area and into the shops where he continues to let the other guide where they go by lingering looks or a pause in his steps. The moment Ken shows more than brief curiosity, he has them in the shop for the wolf to look around. Soon he calls a halt to their shopping as it's starting to get a bit late. "Alright, we'll take a small break for lunch and then we can continue." Guiding Ken with the hand on his back once more, he takes them to a somewhat busy bar where they are soon seated and presented with drinks and food. Nodding in satisfaction, he waits for the wolf to sample the food first to make sure it's to his liking before eating his own.
