General Information:

Name: Artemis Rhaeger Wolfhart Pembrook

Nickname: Crow or Artie

Age: 20

Date of Birth: August 17th

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: British (Swedish and Polish)

Home Country: Sweden

Race: Shapeshifter

Blood Type: B+

Sexuality: Closet Bisexual, Outwardly he appears to be straight

Position: Seke

Other Medical Information: Information unavailable

Appearance:

Height: 5' 7"

Weight: 128 lbs

Eye Color: Has a slightly darkened, but pale colored forest/olive green color of eyes, with black eyelashes and black eyebrows set slightly low over his eyes. This gives him a rather noble appearance.

Hair Style and Color: Has silvery grey white hair that is slightly long in length. His bangs are long enough to cover his eyes, but for the most part he brushes them to the side of his forehead.

Skin: Pale peach/ivory

Scars/Markings/Tattoos/Etc: Has little to no scars, but a rather strange looking black mark that is located at the base of his skull on the back of his neck, right where the spine connects to the back of the skull. It is, in appearance, that of a raven with it's wings outstretched.

Clothing: Old fashioned, the outfit he arrives in is a white suit, that would remind one of a prince. With it he wears black lace up leather boots that reach just below his knees.

Personality/Traits: Rather blunt and sharp tongued, he isn't one to hold back what is on his mind. He can be rather cruel and coldhearted at times, and for one to get along with him they would have to be able to stand his harsh personality. Even with those he has a soft spot for he does not change, however he does get a bit fidgety around them. Rough around the edges, sharp as a honed blade and freezing as a block of ice in the dead of winter, Artemis is not one to be reckoned with, or pushed around. Only when he truly opens up to someone does his rude demeanor soften, showing a rather kinder and gentler side underneath all the malicious malcontent.

Brief History: He was sent to the current time he is in from the past by a witch. Who he was, who he is, and what he is was all forgotten to him, and for the most part he is just an existence. All he knows is that he is cursed, and what exactly that curse is he does not know. He believes it to be the fact that he turns into a raven at night is what the curse is, but that might not be the case here.

For some who might think that all things happen for a reason, there are others who think otherwise. However, in this story, fate has nothing to do with what happens, and yet it has everything to do with what does. It plays a part in the lives of all, and also takes that of the back seat rider, just going along with everything that occurs. It is confusing, and thus is not to be taken lightly. Because if you do, things might not turn out the way you planned.

Eyes open to reveal pale, forest green eyes, as the white haired individual woke from his slumber. Groggy, he presses his brow together, a frown on his lips, his silver locks a complete and total mess. He'd been woken from sleep, and as far as he could tell, it was still early morning. The knock came again, and this time with it was a voice. It was that of a woman, telling him that Morgianna was calling for him. Raising an eyebrow, he wondered what that old hag wanted to do with him at this time of morning. Grumbling to himself, he rolls off of his bed, and gets up, yawning. He might as well humor the lady, god knows what she would do to him if he ignored her summons.

Fixing his hair and slipping on his white coat, he leaves the room in which he called his own, and makes way to where the Witch Morgianna lived. The edge of the city, in an old worn down stone cottage, it portrayed everything in which the old lady was. Vines and weeds grew everywhere, the windows had cracks, and the wooden door was splintered. Despite it's appearance, it had an odd charm to it, with flowers in pots on the windowsill, and a sign hanging from the front of the door. Stepping up to said door, he was about to knock when it opened, though no on was in sight.

From within the cottage, he hears a voice saying to come in. Once more a frown forms on his face, eyes narrows and brows furrowed. Cautiously he steps inside, and the door closes behind him. Though most would jump at this sudden action, he does not. Continuing his way, he goes to where he knew the woman was waiting for him, and sure enough, standing over a large pot, stirring at a disgusting looking brew, was the witch Morgianna. She had long black hair, which was done in a braid, the end reaching her feet, and for the most part her appearance was that of a young woman, beautiful and fit. She had blue eyes, fair skin, plump lips, clear and perfect skin, and a body that would make many lust for her. Wearing a scarlet and green dress, and a brooch with a red emerald at the center, she was stunning. But despite her looks, she was actually quite old. Morgianna looks up, seeing that the summoned was standing there, watching her. A shifty smile forms on her lips, and after a moment longer stirring, she speaks.

"So, you came, did you Artemis? I am...rather surprised, to say the least. Usually you ignore me, and continue doing whatever it is you are doing."

The white haired boy, Artemis, rolls his eyes, becoming quickly annoyed. He was still tired, and wanted to go back to bed. If he could chose anything to be doing right then and there, at that particular time, it definitely would not be talking to a witch, and especially not Morgianna.

"Get on with what you called me here for, witch. I don't have the patience to stand your presence."

Morgianna raises her eyebrows, but does not stop smiling. However, a glint in her eye made Artemis narrow his eyes even more. Just what was she up to? Something sinister perhaps. Yes, that had to be it. Why else would she call him hear, and at this time? The witch was planning something, and that was a given. She sets down the spoon in which she'd been stirring whatever was in the pot, and turns her back on Artemis. His hand moves to the belt of his pants, grasping a knife that was hidden there.

"You know, I was going to give you a second chance, but...I think not..."

Quickly she faces him, and before he could react or do anything, she throws what appeared to be a glowing black ball of light at him, which hits him in the chest. It disappears within him, and the last thing that Artemis saw was the cruel look reflecting in Morgianna's eyes, before he passes out. His body felt as if it were being torn to pieces and that glued back together, just to have it ripped apart once more, and sewn to place with a rusty needle and straw as thread.

'Be you cursed, be you alone. Cruel you are, evil you've sown. Plant the seed of evil fate, reap the crop of heartless hate. Until you find a warm hearts core, shunned you'll be forevermore. Death will find you and mark you undone, unless you find true love for the pain to come undone.

Words echoed in his head, and he spiraled in and out of consciousness. What was going on? The next thing he knew, his body was laying on a soft surface. Opening his eyes barely enough to see past his lashes, he finds himself in an unknown area, strange things surrounding him. But he could not reflect on the situation he was in, as exhaustion takes him, and he falls asleep once more, unaware that he'd been sent hundreds of years into the future, to a world foreign and unknown to him. As he slept, a rather peculiar thing happened. He had a mark upon the back of his neck originally, it was that of a raven with outspread wings, but the eyes suddenly turn red, and what appeared to be a black shadow formed behind it, as if stalking the creature.

Darkness...it surrounded him. Devoured him. But he could not wake.

Fate is not to be underestimated. It is not something to be mistaken and mistreated. Be careful what you do with your life, or who you mess with. Treat them right, treat them fair. Be careful in every step you take, because if you're not carefuly....you just might get cursed...

Fate was not something he believed in nor destiny for that matter. Loneliness was often cured by one's company for a night. He didn't really need anyone and was perfectly content with living on his own. Living alone allowed him the benefits of doing as he pleased. Whether it was relaxing, drawing or playing guitar, no one could stop him. Meals were of surprisingly decent quality as he considered himself to be a good home cook, a chef of his own domain. His home was his own castle, dedicated to himself and he alone could rule it. There was no need for sharing what was his.

Yet despite all of this, he is a genuinely nice guy that is easily likable and easy to get along with. Sometimes his kind demeanor is mistaken for flirtation, when that is certainly not the case. If he was interested in someone, they would know as he would go out of his way to declare his attraction. He made friends easily, but once on the friend status, he doesn't sleep with them. Friendship is valued higher than sexual encounter for him. Loyalty among friends and bonds between them and his family kept him close. These bonds are what distracted him from his loneliness. Often, once he realizes his loneliness he seeks out attention through sex.

There was no such thing as a long term relationship for him. Literally, he had never had one. While it was true that eventually he did wish to settle down and find love... It was a terribly long process and he didn't have the patience. He'd rather have the love find him. It would happen to him one day, he was sure, because the men in his families ancestry all had a knack for finding 'love'. Though it really baffled him how they could find love. Apparently when he asked his parents about this, they only told him that he would know when he found that 'special someone'. It honestly made him want to gag. Surely, it was impossible for there to be someone just for him. Yet, he liked to keep an open mind to the idea. While he didn't believe in fate or destiny, he liked the idea of being happy in the end and as much as he didn't want to admit it, in love.

So here he was, sitting at a gathering of his two parents and two friends. He was an only child and actually very happy about that. Today his parents would be travelling to Europe to celebrate there anniversary late. It had been a month ago, but they wanted to spend time with their only son before they traveled the world. A dinner party was held and that's where Yokai found himself. With four people he held close to his heart. His mom and dad and two best friends.

"Cheers to another good year!" His mother said.

"And many more to come, my love." Said his father as he pecked his wife's cheek.

Yokai truly loved his parents. They were loving and caring, supported him all the way until he graduated high school. One of his friends, Mizuka, he had known since grade school and they had stayed friends while his other friend, Daisuke, he had met in high school. He loved them both as if they were his own siblings, ones that he never had. "You two have fun while traveling. Don't worry about me, you know I'l be fine."

"We'll look after him, Mr. and Mrs. Robbins. Right, Daisuke?" Mizuka smiled as she picked up a dumpling with her chopsticks.

There was a firm nod from his other friend as he hooked his arm around Yokai, "You know it!"

"Well that's certainly a good thing to hear. If you ever need us, Yokai, just give us a call or leave a message. Ah- but enough of my rambling, I am sure you know what to do. You're grown now." She smiled softly, sipping her tea before continuing, "I'm so proud of you."

"As am I." His father said, agreeing with his wife.

One thing was for sure, Yokai's family loved him a lot, his friends were just the same. He loved them as much as they loved him. To think, he wouldn't have this any other way. He was decently happy with his life. These people made him feel like life was worth living, that it had some kind of meaning...

The rest of the gathering went just as swell as it had started. In the end, they all left their separate ways. He would miss his parents and more than likely keep in contact with them on their travels. So even though they were going their separate ways, he would still be in touch.

His travel home was peaceful, he lived in a quiet neighborhood that was walking distance from the restaurant that he had just came from. He considered himself lucky enough to have his own home, a traditional styled home with modern upgrades. For him it was his paradise, his escape from the ugly world when he grew tired of it. His home was for him alone, never once shared unless it was his parents or friends. Whenever he decided to go out and have a fling with someone, he never brought them to his home. More like, he'd go to their place or go to a hotel. This was his home and his home alone... Or until he supposed he found someone to share it with.

Once he was home, he stayed up a little longer, sipping on some sake that his parents bought for him. Really, he was having a good time. The peace and quiet was nice and very welcoming. However, by now, his eyes were tired with sleep. So in the end, he put the sake away and went to take a shower. Putting on a comforting robe when he was done, he walked quietly to his bedroom, which once there he got into bed and promptly fell asleep.

Little did he know his fate was about to change and make itself known in his life. Destiny was playing its part.

And it all started when he woke up the next morning. His eyes fluttered open and he stared at the ceiling for a moment before sitting up groggily, stretching his arms above his head and letting out a yawn. Man, he slept so good last night. How strange- "What the-?" Yokai gasped, blinking in disbelief as he could have sworn someone was laying next to him. It... was a man! Did he bring someone home last night? No, surely not. He would never do that... Yet here was this man in his bed? How did he get there? That was what Yokai wanted to know...

This man looked foreign and was oddly dressed... Like one of those cos-players. Interesting. But still. This was quite bothersome for Yokai. Nobody but his friends or family had been in his home until now... So how the hell did this man get here? Well... he wasn't going to find out anything while just sitting here... So Yokai adjusted his robe, correcting it and adjusting it. Usually he wouldn't have cared if he was naked, this was his house, he did what he pleased... However, since this intruder was here, he wasn't quite sure if he was comfortable with this situation. This was uncomfortable. Although, feelings aside, this stranger needed to wake up. "Hey- You, are you okay..?" Yokai moved a hand to the other males' shoulder, shaking it lightly, "How the hell did you get here? Wake up. What's your name?"

It was just a dream, he knew that, but why, why did it feel so real? Almost as if he was actually experiencing that particular moment, all over again, reliving the tragic moment in which his life had made a drastic turn. To him, it had been quite unfair, to be judged as such, the woman had deserved the words she'd gotten from him. Why should he, a noble, have to even been in acquaintance with such a lowly peasant? She was of the dirtiest breed, and wasn't ashamed of it, so, in response, Artemis had been quite sure the wench wouldn't have minded being addressed in such a manner, but that was not the case. Instead she had broken down in tears, and the people all around her gave him cruel looks and muttered such insolent words about him under his breath.

There he stood, hands curled into fists at his side, a look of disgust on his face as he looked down on her, who was sprawled in the dirt at his feet. A red mark was formed upon her cheek, where he'd struck her. She was trembling, looking up at him with a hurt look in her eyes, brows pressed together and the stains of salty liquid streaking down her cheeks. Her bottom lip trembled, and her whole body quaked lightly. Artemis lets out a ticking sound from his mouth before sneering at the woman, nose turned up, and eyes narrowed.

"I told you not to come near me any more you useless piece of filth. And yet here you are. You got what you deserved, so why do you snivel and cry like an infant wallowing in the dirt? Get up and get out of my sight, never let me see you again, or if you do I'll do more than just give you a good slap."

Scrambling to her feet, the woman bows in apology, saying 'I'm sorry' repeatedly, before dashing off. Turning around swiftly, Artemis was blind to the eyes that were watching him, those cold, ice blue eyes. In the shadows, viewing his every move, observing his every word, making note of all that he did. Morgianna. Walking away, he heads back to his home, to get away from the stares of the people all around him, and the annoying whispers darting between them. It was giving him a headache.

But even when he arrived and laid down, he felt terrible. A headache plagued him, and he felt as if his head were quite ready to explode. Closing his eyes, he takes a deep, calming breath, but only to see a pair of eerie glowing eyes staring back at him from behind his eyelids, and two clawed hands grabbing his shoulders, talons digging into his skin as they shook him mercilessly.

Yelling out, he opens his eyes and sits up with a jolt, groaning from the pang of pain he suddenly got, and the dull throbbing that was centered in the front of his forehead. A voice could be heard next to him, and a hand was still on his shoulder. Quickly he scurries away from whoever it was, and once he was at a safe distance, standing a few feet away from the bed he'd been laying in, he looks around, towards the voice. It was a rather strange looking male, and everything else about that room was strange too. Not to mention the words...the words coming from the stranger's mouth was confusing.

"Wha-? Where...? I...Ugh..."

His eyebrows press together, and a muddled expression forms on his face, frown on his lips. What was going on? Where was he? In that case...who was he? Raising a hand to the side of his head, which he shakes softly as if to loosen a memory of anything at all, he grits his teeth. He couldn't remember anything, except for his name. Or at least, a part of his name. And a witch...The words she'd spoken echoed lightly in his head, but he ignores them, as he focuses his forest green eyes on the other male in the room.

"Where the hell am I? And what language might you be speaking, I can not understand you, fool."

He felt his heart begin to quicken in his chest, and he got light headed, causing him to stagger slightly where he was standing. Reaching out with a hand, he places it against the wall to steady himself. Just what was happening to his body?It felt like some sort of strange substance was flowing through his veins, making him unsteady. Fire and ice were coursing through his blood stream, and a toxin was preventing him from thinking or breathing properly.

Eyes flicker back and forth, taking in the view of the space around him. Strange contraptions surrounded him, it was making his head hurt even worse than it already was. But the thing that confused him the most was the male that was sitting there on the bed. It had been that boy's hands that had woken him from his sleep. Shaken him from his nightmare. Shuddering, but saying nothing of it, he takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself before speaking, not sure if the other even understood what he was saying. But then again, what he said next wasn't directed to the other male, more to himself.

"I am Artemis...Yes...But, that is all I remember..."

  • 2 weeks later...

Yokai was slightly startled when the other male finally awakened. The guy must have had a nightmare or something because he had awaken- yelling. Yokai found himself startled by the noise to the point he almost fell out of bed. Loud noises always startled him because they hurt his ears. If he expected a loud noise, it didn't matter as much... However, when it surprised him... That was another story. One might call him a chicken... But alas, this situation wasn't about his fears but the unknown stranger in the room...

The stranger didn't look like he was too well. He looked fatigued and disoriented. What surprised Yokai was the fact that the man didn't speak Japanese, he spoke English... And had quite the accent. Luckily for this guy Yokai could understand everything he said. This guy certainly wasn't polite, even when he should be... After all he was trespassing into his home and as far as Yokai was concerned, he should call the police for breaking and entering. He raised a brow as he watched the man, silently taking in his appearance as well as the state he was in...

Something was certainly askew here. Well at least he knew his name. The stranger's name was Artemis..? What an interesting name. As far as Yokai knew, he didn't know an Artemis... He didn't even know anyone named Artemis until now. This guy must be European or something. Well Yokai wouldn't get his answers sitting there and apparently he wouldn't be getting the answers from Artemis either... How was that even possible for someone to only remember their name? "What do you mean-" Ah, no wait, he needed to speak English. Yokai quickly cleared his throat, "What do you mean you don't remember..? How did you even get into my room?" Yokai asked as he glanced around his room.

It didn't look like this Artemis guy forced himself in... Nothing was broken... And Yokai didn't remember drinking last night, perhaps he was still dreaming..? Glancing back at the other male in the room, eyes openly scanning over Artemis's body. If this was a dream, he had to give his imagination some credit. This guy wasn't too bad on the eyes... Sadly, Yokai had a feeling that this wasn't a dream... So after he let out a slightly unsatisfied sigh he brushed a hand through his hair, lazily.

Yokai wasn't one too overly freak out- unless it had to do with thunderstorms, so this situation only made him shrug. Surely he could figure out what had happened here and how exactly this guy ended up in his room. But first, he needed to make sure this guy was okay, he didn't look too well. "Hey..? Are you okay? You don't look so well. Need water or something?" Yokai offered as he slowly started to get out of his bed, slightly uncomfortable with this unwanted guest but nevertheless being polite.

  • 2 weeks later...

His eyes glance around the room, trying to figure out where he was, what he was doing, where he had come from...everything was gone, every single memory. When he attempted to recollect something about his past, all he got was a fuzzy nothingness, and a dull, ringing, ache in his head. The only thing that kept swirling around in his mind were those words, said like a sort of spell, and his name. What was going on?! He didn't belong here, he knew that much, as all the things around him were confusing and unusual. Gritting his teeth, he raises his hand to his head, fingers gripping lightly at the locks of his hair.

Hearing a voice, he quickly looks up, looking over at the only other person in the room. At first he didn't understand what was being said, until apparently the other male figured it out, and after a moment, he could finally process the words that were being said to him. He shakes his head, frustration starting to boil within him, as he was asked the very same questions he had been asking himself, unable to come up with the answers even if he tried. Narrowing his eyes, brows pressing together, he answers, his voice sounding annoyed and exasperated.

"I don't know, I don't know, I DON'T KNOW! I don't know the answers, so stop asking the questions, fool! If you think I knew them, do you really think I'd still be here? Gah, even here, in a place I know nothing of, there are still complete idiots..."

The expression of exasperation grew on his face, as if he was talking to a complete moron. Or someone who was extremely mentally slow, and had to be talked to carefully, or else they won't understand what was being said to them. He rubs his brow with his forefinger and middle finger, closing his eyes for a moment, and sighing deeply. This was not going to go well at all, he could tell. Though he had to admit, this person was taking it a lot better than he would have guessed, considering he was a stranger, and for the most part seemingly just showed up in this person's house, not to mention, from what he could see, their personal room.

"Do I look okay? Do I REALLY look okay to you? You can obviously answer that question yourself. Which you did. Of course I'm not okay! I don't need water, I need answers! Where am I? Who are you? What is this place? Time, country, etcetera!"

He was beginning to panic, and the pounding in his head became louder, he felt pain shoot through his body. He didn't know that this was the toll of being shot forward in time, well in the future from his own time, and his body was slowly beginning to adjust to where he was at now. Of course it would be painful, but he didn't know this, any of it, at all. Groaning, he covers his eyes with his hand, as a dizzy spell takes over, knocking his equilibrium out of whack. The hand not covering his face reaches out to the wall, to keep him from falling over, as he slowly sinks to his knees.

He moans in pain, as tears sting the corners of his eyes, the entire world around him feeling as if it were spinning out of control, even with his eyes squeezed shut. He breathes hard, and it felt like he was being compressed, his heart hurting as it beat in his chest, his lungs unable to get a full breath of air, his entire body being squeezed in a giant hand. He slumps against the wall now, forgetting the other person that was in there with him due to the pain that was taking over his body.

"God...damn...It..."

Yokai's eye twitched in irritation. Who knew he would have to wake up, only to be bitched at before he even had his first coffee! Talk about the definition of rude. This guy intrudes on his territory, aka his home, and then has the nerve to to be cocky. Yokai almost called the police right then and there, had it not been for the fact that Artemis in obvious pain- and he collapsed! Damn it all. What a horrible start to the day. Waking up to a stranger in his bed, the guy was attractive but an asshole, and now he had to call the ambulance. Yokai had tried being nice but he didn't appreciate Artemis' attitude so early in the morning.

With that Yokai dialed the ambulance on his phone, telling them where to find him. He actually had to make sure that Artemis was still alive, he lost all unconsciousness. He may have been a jerk but that didn't mean Yokai wanted a dead body in his home. Thankfully it didn't take too long before the medics arrived. Yokai watched as the medics took Artemis and loaded him onto the ambulance. He was just about to go back to the warmth of his home when he was questioned by one of the medics. Then Yokai had to explain that the guy was in his room, didn't seem to remember anything besides his name and- of course that he spoke English.

"Huh? The man is foreign?" To which Yokai gave a simple nod. The medic shook his head, "Well that's no good. We don't have an English translator at the hospital as of yet and won't be available for two days. Do you know English, sir?" Oh no. Yokai knew where this was going. It was clear that the medic figured it out. How else would he have been able to talk to Artemis in the first place?

To which Yokai reluctantly nodded, "Yes I do. I am fluent in Japanese and English, sir."

"Then will you please come with us, as we may need your assistance." Then Yokai was ushered into the ambulance along with the medic. How could this day get any worse? A small frown settled onto Yokai's face as he glanced at the unconscious form in the ambulance. Damn it, damn it, damn it all. He mentally cursed the foreign man for ruining his day. This was so unfair. Sure, Artemis needed help... But why him? Why did Yokai have to be dragged into this? He just wanted to stay at home and do nothing... Maybe go out later and get laid... But of course his plans of laziness abruptly came to a stop, the moment he woke up too!

To say the least, Yokai was cranky in the mornings until he had coffee. Anyone who knew him well knew this fact about him. It made matters worse that he was only wearing the same robe he went to bed in. So basically he was naked with nothing but a robe and his slippers. As the ambulance parked, he got out, followed by the medics and then Artemis who was laying on a stretcher. Yokai took this opportunity to tighten his robe as well as pull out his phone. He called his friend, Mizuka, who was actually a nurse here at the hospital. "Hey, Mizuka, I'm here at the hospital and I have a favor to-"

"You're here? Why? Are you okay?" She interrupted.

"Yeah I am fine. I'm going to be helping a patient, that's all. They needed a translator." He sighed, "Hey, I'll call you back in about ten, okay? Then let's meet up, alright?"

"Alright. Stay safe Yokai! Bye bye~!" And with that, he hung up the phone, following the medics into the hospital. They would have to wait for Artemis to wake to question him... But for now, they can at least get him medical attention.

It was all just a blur from there on. Every single thing that happened, all around him, was just a blot of color to his half closed eyes, and barely present consciousness. The slightest movement of his body would send waves of pain and dizziness through his entire being, and it felt like his head was to explode at any moment. He could hear what was going on, but even then it was hard to make out the details, as if his ears were submerged under water, the words and sounds around were muffled and strange sounding.

Now he was being moved, and as much as he wanted to, he could not struggle or prevent them from putting their hands on him, and as far as he could tell, it was the boy who had called these people here. Words were exchanged, but once again he could not understand them, it was in an entirely different language. What was going on? What was this thing he was being put into? Why was this happening to him? There were so many questions he wanted to ask and get the answers to, but that was impossible. Right at that moment anyways. The male from before gets in to whatever hellish contraption they'd put him into as well, and no doubt this was not what he wanted either.

After this though he blacks out, only to later awaken and find himself in another strange room, even stranger than the one before. It had a pristine clean feeling to it, all decked out in pure whites and shiny surfaces. And, in repetition, things he knew nothing about. Odd looking devices and objects, words that he could not read. He still felt dizzy, and his head felt like it was filled with cotton, but at least now he no longer felt so terribly nauseated.

Only then does he realize that he was laying in a soft bed, and...his clothes were gone. He sits up quickly, the sheets sliding down to reveal a bare chest. Lifting the sheets, he was relieved to find that he had some kind of cover over his lower half, though what he was wearing he had no clue. They appeared to be really baggy and loose ladies bloomers...Glancing around again, he saw that his clothing that he'd arrived in had been folded and placed on a chair in the corner of the room.

Now that he was more awake, he studies the room he was in, looking past the things he knew nothing of, and just memorizing the layout. There was the bed, which was across the room from a door, then counters and cupboards, a sink, a second door leading to another room, chairs, a small table next to the bed, and windows on the other side of the bed, with white curtains. One was cracked open slightly, letting a light breeze come inside, with the scent of flowers upon it. He closes his eyes, enjoying that pleasant smell, the only thing that actually wasn't so different from his home.

"I wonder...what is going on? Where am I? What...what is this place? It definitely is not home, that is for sure..."

He mumbles softly to himself, before opening his eyes again, just in time to see the handle to the door turn, a soft knock coming from outside, before the actual door itself opened, revealing a person in a rather odd looking garb, dressed in a long coat thing, with some silver object hanging around their neck. This individual steps in, and picks up a thin, hard surface, writes something down, before looking at him, almost as if he were an injured animal in captivity, a pitying look, and it made Artemis want to get up and smack that expression off their face.

While Artemis rested, Yokai found himself busy regurgitating what he said to the medic earlier. By the time that he was done though, he was relieved that he could call Mizuka again. They met up like he planed and again, he had to explain what happened. Much to his dismay Mizuka started to snicker at him and he knew, that she was up to something. After there little chat he waited in the waiting room receiving awkward stares being of of the way he was dressed. He would have to sit here and either wait for Mizuka to come back or for Artemis to awaken. The male hoped Mizuka would return before Artemis would wake up... Luckily, even after thirty minutes, Artemis hadn't waken up and Mizuka came back with a spare change of clothes. Yokai was quick to change his clothes.

Meanwhile, a nurse made her way into the patient's room. The woman brought up the clipboard and started to record his status before glancing at the male, head on. She pitied the man, he was so pale, almost sickly looking. But then she gasped as she realized the male, Artemis, his eyes were open. "Oh, my... You're awake?" She asked, but then she realized and remembered that he didn't speak Japanese, "I'll get the doctor in here, yes? And the translator in here too. I'll be right back, so please be patient... Heh, get it? Patient? O-oh never mind you wouldn't understand. " She mutters softly as she walks out to go fetch the doctor and find the translator.

Yokai was in the middle of telling Mizuka, for the fifth time, that he had not slept with Artemis when a nurse came around asking for his to follow. But of course his friend tagged along wanting to be apart of Yokai's business. Soon, all four of them piled into Artemis' room, the doctor, Yokai, the nurse and lastly, Mizuka. Out of all four of them, Yokai was the only one who was in street clothes. He had a dark purple v-neck on, blue skinny jeans, and some black converse shoes. On his wrist was a silver watch and he had both ears pierced as well as his right eye brow. His hair was put up into a small bun.

Once everyone was inside, the doctor grabbed the clip board and turned to face Yokai because he was the translator. "Good evening Mr. Robbins, thank you for helping out today. Now, let us jump right in, shall we? What all did he tell you?"

"I already told you, he doesn't remember anything."

"Oh, really? Just his name? Ask him if he knows where he is? Where is he from? And if does he even know what this is?" The doctor inquired, pulling off his stethoscope. "I need to check his vitals and make sure he's good to go. I need to know how much he remembers. Surely, he remembers more than his name?"

"Doctor, do you think this is a case of amnesia?" Asked Mizuka.

There was a hum from the doctor, he slowly nodded, "This very well could be... And if that's the case... I wonder if I should have a look at his head to make sure he didn't injure it... Perhaps maybe this is a natural cause? If so, then this man should be aided once he's discharged from the hospital. He needn't injure himself more." With that he looks at Yokai, "Go ahead and tell him what I said, and then inform him that I will be examining his head with an X-ray. That is all." He said as he put the ear pieces of the stethoscope into his ears, preparing to listen to Artemis' heart.

With a sigh, and ultimately realizing that Artemis hadn't understood anything they said, he turned to Artemis, and took a step towards his bedside. "Artemis, this is Doctor Mastuo. He is here to help you and wanted my to translate what he was saying, to you. What he would like to know is; Do you know where you are? He would like to know where you are from. And do you know what a stethoscope is?" He asked as he pointed at the thing that was currently in the doctors ears, he was holding the other end in his hand. "Oh, and the doctor thinks you have amnesia and wants to X-ray your head." He said slowly. He would at least act like a decent person in public. "Any questions?"

A look of confusion and complete ignorance was displayed upon Artemis' face when the nurse spoke to him after noticing that he was awake. He did not even bother gracing the young woman with any sort of acknowledgment to her talking to him, and was quite glad when she left the room. The young man felt like he was in a completely different world, as if he'd been moved from his own to a place he knew nothing of, an entirely new environment where everything was new and strange; he didn't like it one bit, not understanding anything that was going on, the language sounding like pandemonium to his ears, items that looked as if they were made by magic. It did not fit to what he was used, and that upset him.

The door opens again, and one after another people file in to the room, one an older male, then there was the guy from before, the woman who had left not too long ago, and a new woman, who looked as if she were enjoying herself. Seeing her happy expression was irksome, and his brows scrunch together, while a slight twitching of his cheek and eye showed his irritation. How he wished that his weak body could move so he could wipe that dumb grin off of her face. It was disgusting, and made him want to puke.

Once they were all in the room, the older man began speaking, but of course Artemis had no clue what the hell was being said, so he just sighs grumpily, and rolls his eyes, turning his attention to the view outside. This had to be some terrible trick, or something of that sort. There was no doubt about it. Why else would something like this be happening? Maybe one of his friends was playing a prank on him. Thinking that made him wonder...did he even have friends? He couldn't remember, no matter how hard he tried to prod at his memories, all he drew up was a complete blank. However, his thoughts were disrupted when the male he at least could understand speaks to him, finally saying things he could recognize. However, once more, he was asked questions he knew not the answer to, and even more, which would result in the same answer. When he answered, his voice was filled with complete exasperation. His ill temper was starting to boil over, and there was no telling when he'd finally explode.

"No, no, and no. How many times must I tell you this? I have no clue where the bloody hell I am from, and I certainly have no damn clue as to where I am now. And what is this...steth...io...scope...thing? What kind of name is that?"

He eyes the shiny thing that was around the doctor's neck suspiciously, a frown on his lips. All of this was so confusing, as were many of the words that were being used as the guy spoke to him. Amnesia? Take an X-ray? What was all of this? It made absolutely no sense, even if it were in a language he could actually speak. For some reason, as the other was speaking, he was being half way decent towards him, and Artemis could only guess it was because they were around other people. But that mattered not to the white haired individual, he seriously could care less what anyone else thought of him, he was not going to change his mannerisms to please another person. At the mentioning of having any questions, he had to take a deep breath to keep himself from snapping. He'd asked questions before, but they hadn't been answered. So, hopefully this time around, they would be.

"Where am I? What country is this? What time, as in what year? Who are you? I need to know, I know nothing! And it's frustrating, and I feel as if I am almost ready to explode, so if you PLEASE!! Answer me!"

There was a hint of desperation in his voice, and a glint of disquiet and worry in his eyes, next to the burning fury that was flaring up deep within him. He didn't give a second thought to the fact that the volume of how loud he was speaking had gone way up, or his tone had caused a look of concern to form upon the nurse's face, as she looked at him with wide eyes. He cared not about the scribbling of the sound of a writing utensil upon the paper, as the doctor wrote a few notes down, nor the glances that he was getting from the man at the same time. No, all he was bothered with was the answers that he desperately longed to receive.

He stared at the younger male, the one who was the reason he was here in the strange place to begin with. He was breathing hard at that point, his chest rising and falling deeply and rapidly. A strong breeze suddenly rushes through the room from the open window, brushing against Artemis' bare skin, causing goosebumps to form upon his arms and chest, and a slight shiver made it's way up and down his spine. But the chill was gone almost as soon as it had come, and once more it was a decent and enjoyable warmth in the room. He grips the thin sheets of the bed with his fingers tightly, and frowns, teeth gritted together as he waited for an answer.

Everyone in the room seemed to be shocked by Artemis' outburst. The doctor wrote a couple things down and asked Yokai what he said, to which Yokai replied word for word what Artemis said. The doctor shook his head and made a displeased frown. "I think we shall proceed through the scan... Have a look at his brain and check for any injuries. But... By the looks of it, this man has full blown amnesia. There's nothing we can do to really cure that other than to slowly expose him to things. Perhaps then his memories would be triggered." Then he looked at Artemis, as he approached him slowly. "Tell him that he needs to calm himself because I need to check his vitals. It will be quick. Just tell him to relax and let me do my job." And Yokai told Artemis just that.

"Damn, Artemis, you don't have to yell because we are in a hospital. Don't act so immature. These people are trying to help you and raising your voice will not help anything. The only thing they might do is sedate you. And if you don't know what 'sedate' means... It means that they will make you sleep. So learn how to behave and control your temper here." Yokai scolded while crossing his arms across his chest. This Artemis fellow was really getting to him. "The reason the doctor asked you those questions was because he wanted to see for himself how much you knew. Clearly, as I told him, you don't remember anything. So they are trying to decide what they are going to do with you, get it? If they think you are dangerous, then they might sedate you and lock you up. I am sure you wouldn't want that, now would you?" He cleared his throat, "Now he's just going to make sure you're healthy. I'll explain while he does so, okay. So calm your shit, man. Yokai was so glad no one else spoke English because otherwise he might have gotten in trouble for cursing at the hospital.

"First off, the thing the doctor has is called a stethoscope and what it does is listen to your heart. All the doctor is doing is counting the heartbeats per second to make sure that your heart is pumping blood at a healthy rate. And also your lungs to make sure you're breathing right and you lungs have no problems as well." He said and then motioned the doctor that it was okay to check Artemis now that he knew what it was. "It won't hurt you in the slightest. Just don't talk and be calm. Then Yokai watched as the doctor placed the end onto Artemis' chest, and after a moment, the doctor pulled away to write on his clipboard. He then grabbed another instrument. "Now that is a 'otoscope'. They are used to check your ears. It shouldn't hurt you any.

By the time the doctor was done, Yokai had to explain about five different object to Artemis. It wasn't so bad once the other male had calmed enough to work with the doctor. And once the doctor was done, he determined that Artemis was very healthy and that there seemed to be nothing wrong. He and the other nurse dismissed themselves to prep for the X-ray leaving Yokai, Mizuka and Artemis alone.

And as soon as they were alone Mizuka let out a giggle, "I think I know how it is now."

"What do you mean?" Yokai asked as he looked at his best friend.

"I mean that I think I know what happened... But I wouldn't have thought that Artemis would be your type. He's awfully feisty... But he is very handsome... So I could see why you'd want to sleep with him-"

"N-no, no, Mizuka! You have the wrong idea!" Yokai could feel his face heat up from embarrassment. How could his friend think that he wanted to sleep with Artemis? No way! This guy was an asshole, but then again, so was he. "What the hell made you think that?"

Mizuka just laughs for a moment before replying, "You can be in denial all you want, but I have you figured out Yokai~" She teased, enjoying every minute of it. "You're just probably disappointed because he denied you, am I right? Ah, but you still helped him out... Oh you really must like him then! Haha~" Another light breeze made it into the room, "Burr~ I think I'll go close that window now."

Yokai scoffed. He couldn't believe what he was hearing from his friend. Infact, he decided he would just ignore her now. "Whatever, Mizuka, believe what you want..." He shrugged and then turned his attention to Artemis who was still waiting for some more answers. "Sorry to keep you waiting... Now lets see. Alright, first off, we are in a hospital, located in Japan. Yokai said, feeling slightly better somehow. He then told Artemis the date, month, day, year. All in that order. "My name is Yokai, Artemis, I told you that at my house. Look, I am sorry you can't remember anything. I don't really know what you're going through, but I do know it must be tough. He sighed softly, looking from Mizuka to Artemis. "If you're calm about it, I don't mind answering any other questions you have, okay? We can talk to pass the time. They are preparing an X-ray for you, and all that means is a big machine will be around you, won't touch you at all. Basically, it will look into your mind, checking it to make sure it's okay. Because the doctor says you have amnesia, a condition which means you literally forgot everything, they want to check to make sure your brain is okay. You just have to lay down and hold still.

Artemis did not appreciate being chided at, but all the same he listened to what he was told, and lowered his voice, attempting to calm himself. Apparently the situation called for it, because he really did not feel like being 'put to sleep' by anybody, or anything. Clutching at the blankets, his knuckles were beginning to turn white from how tightly he was holding on to the cloths between his fingers. Even so, after they begin to get a bit tingly and then numb, he still does not let go. Not once. Glancing at the silver item that was being explained, Artemis still couldn't feel as if it was suspicious, but does not say anything.

The doctor comes close to him, and the white haired male had to fight back the urge to backhand the man, as they reached out to him, and placed the circular device upon his bare chest. He shivered lightly from how the cold material felt against his chest. Closing his eyes, he found it better to handle and deal with the situation if he could not see the people in the room. Even though it didn't eliminate them completely, at least he didn't have to look at them. The only thing that he focused on, but would not admit, was the voice that was speaking to him, explaining each of the devices that the doctor was using, hanging on to each syllable like a life line, the only thing he could recognize in a world of strange.

A few moments pass after the doctor had finished, and Artemis only opened his eyes when he heard the door to the room close. He sighs softly, only a little irritated that there were still other people in the room. The woman giggles, an irritating sound, causing Artemis to narrow his eyes, and a frown to form once more upon his lips. Like before, he could not understand a single thing that was being said, but from the tone of the conversation, it sounded as if the girl was teasing the other guy, and for some reason the guy was getting a little bit uptight, as if in denial about something. Artemis could see it in the way he talked, the look in his eyes, the expression on his face. What he would give to know what they were saying...

Artemis was then addressed, and to his relief, his questions were finally being answered. As the other spoke, not once did he look away, latching on to what was being said. So...a hospital, in Japan? Interesting. He didn't think he'd ever heard of this 'Japan' before. But it seemed a little familiar, as if he'd read about it somewhere, or heard of it in a conversation. But like before, when he tried to remember, nothing came up. The date made no sense, and he looks away. That was like farfetched...but apparently it was true. He had to start believing that this was really happening. And this guy's name was Yokai. Though he'd been told this back at the house, Artemis did not remember that small fact, and brushed it aside.

He noticed that the way that Yokai was talking to him was a bit different, much....nicer? But he was indeed calm now, breathing easier, and wasn't as angry with the world. Well, outwardly showing that anyways. As the x-ray was explained, the focus of his eyes drifts away from Yokai to the window, where he could see clouds drifting in the sky, greenery, and just out of the corner of the drapes, he noticed a very big tree, with lush leaves, and a bird perching on the branch, while a couple of squirrels ran up and down the trunk, chasing each other. As much as he wanted to believe the fact that this machine was safe, he couldn't help but feel nervous. It sounded dangerous, like something that could kill him or seriously hurt him. Amnesia was spoken of, and then explained, and his heart sank. Even though he didn't know exactly what it was, that's what he felt like... Looking back towards Yokai, he sighs softly, before speaking up, this time his voice completely calm, and now that it was, there was a rather...charming quality about the way it sounded.

"So...your name is Yokai? That's a...different name. Anyways, I do have more questions. Japan...describe it to me. I've never heard of it before, at least...I can't remember if I have or not. Also, how much longer is this wait for an 'x-ray' going to take. Last...who is she?"

He raises a hand and jerks his thumb towards the overly cheerful woman in the room, wondering who she was, and what she was doing here still. What was the point in her being in the room if there was no need for her to be there? Was she some sort of helper? He looks over at her, his eyebrows pressing together quizzically, a confused look in his eyes. The corner of his lips tug downward. Now that he wasn't over thinking, he began to feel a bit overexposed, and wanted to get dressed. Without a warning, he gets up from the bed, stumbling ever so slightly, but manages to catch himself. Walking over to where his clothes were setting, ignoring the fact that he was wearing nothing but what the others would call 'boxers'.

Picking up his clothing, he begins to get dressed, first pulling on a form fitting white long sleeved shirt, with a long collar that reached up to his chin. It was sort of like a turtle neck, just without the fold. For now he just decided to leave the weird bottoms on, as he didn't feel like revealing himself, and pulls on a pair of white pants that were form fitting as well. Then over the shirt when his jacket; lastly he tied a grey patterned handkerchief around his right wrist, and a white one around his neck. The very last thing he put on were his boots. When he was finished, he runs his fingers through his hair, feeling much better to be in his clothing, another familiarity. He could feel staring, and looks around, wondering why either or both were looking at him.

It relieved Yokai to see that Artemis looked as if he was calming down. So he could be polite? Well, then... This might work out better than Yokai had originally thought. Surprisingly, Artemis seemed nicer if he was calm. Now he would certainly be easier to work with. "Yes, my name is Yokai. It means ghost, phantom, or strange apparition. Like supernatural monsters and spirits in Japanese folklore. The word yōkai is made up of the kanji for 'bewitching; attractive; calamity' and 'apparition; mystery; suspicious'..."" Yokai said slowly, unsure if Artemis would understand any of that. "Don't worry about learning all of that, just know that my name is Yokai, okay?"" He said, trying to make it simpler for Artemis to remember.

"Tell you what, when you get out of the hospital, instead of me telling you what Japan looks like, how about you see it with your own eyes? Maybe a memory will be sparked by seeing it? I'm sure you've heard of Japan at least once in your life. As for the X-ray, it should be soon, though, they'll probably want a MRI because and X-ray is to look at your bones, whereas a MRI will look at you brain. Either way, it will be short, so hang tight and it will be over soon." Yokai said, suggesting that as the best option. "And as for my friend here..." Yokai said, gesturing towards Mizuka, "This is my long-time friend, Mizuka. We know each other fairly well. She's a nurse here at the hospital..." It didn't look like Artemis liked her...

"What are you telling him, Yokai?" Mizuka asked after she saw her friend make a gesture to her.

"He asked who you were and I told him that we're friends and you're a nurse here." Yokai said simply, glancing at his friend.

Another snicker escaped Mizuka, "Ah, I see. He must have been a little jealous and wanted to make sure we were not dating! She simply couldn't help but to tease Yokai, knowing that he got flustered about it. She was well aware that Yokai slept around sometimes and for a while now, she had been persuading Yokai to settle down. At every chance she got, she always had to tease him, being suggestive. Especially since the English male couldn't understand her.

It irritated Yokai to no end that Mizuka kept suggesting that he liked Artemis. Given, the man was certainly attractive, but damn- "No, no Mizuka. Seriously, I would doubt that's the case. We don't even know each other. Hell, he doesn't remember who he is-" Yokai paused, as he looked at his friend. Mizuka's eyes had widened in surprise and shock. "What's going on-?" He asked as he turned around, just in time to see Artemis getting out of bed and getting dressed. "O-oi! Artemis!"

"He can't be getting out of bed! Yokai, tell him to get back into bed. And he can't have those clothes on either." Mizuka pointed, scolding Yokai and telling him to hurry up. But it was already too late, the other male was fully dressed. "When you said he was a cosplayer, I didn't think he was this hardcore! He looks like one of those princely characters!" Mizuka said excitedly, even though she had no idea who Artemis was playing as. "So that's how he wooed you? A sexy prince!"

"Mizuka! Don't say that, idiot. He's a patient. Are you sure you're qualified to be a nurse?"

"Awe, boo. Yokai, you know I am just trying to have fun. I'll let you deny it, but I'll get you to admit it later!" Mizuka said, finally giving it up.

"Good." Yokai sighed in relief. Though he had to admit -not to Mizuka- that Artemis really suited the princely type character... He looked good in uniform, and that's all Yokai would let himself think at the moment. "Hey, Artemis? You know you shouldn't get dressed until the X-ray and MRI are done? I know it sucks that you'll have to wait, but they want to make sure your insides are okay. He found himself slowly approaching him, unconsciously and curiously. As he did so, he soon realized that Artemis was a few inches taller than him... Of course he was... English men were usually always taller. Yokai was Asian, and as stereotypical as it was, he was fucking short.

He had heard everything that Yokai had told him, from the meaning behind his name, to the offer that was made to go out and look around at the city, after they were done here in the hospital, rather than have to describe it. Artemis had not answered to either of the things that had been said, but had definitely pondered on both topics as he'd been getting dressed. He had been right in thinking that Yokai was a unique and different name, and the invitation to explore this country Japan and get to know what it was like was actually kind of tempting. The white haired male did not know what to say to it at first, thus was why he had said nothing in response, only silence emerging from him.

And now back to the time at hand. Both the woman, Mizuka as Yokai had called her, and Yokai himself, were staring at him. Apparently it had been odd for him to get dressed, but he saw no reason for them both to look at him like this. A split second of silence follows, before Mizuka speaks up, a bit loudly this time, and from the sound of her voice she was obviously ecstatic and rather excited about something. And for some reason, that something had to do with him, Artemis. But why was she so over-joyed about him? What was it?

He glances over at Yokai, as if he'd be able to get some kind of explanation from the other, but of course he didn't have a chance to ask, because the other male spoke up first. He noticed that whatever Mizuka was saying was a bit frazzling towards Yokai, which made Artemis even more curious as to what was being said, though normally he didn't give any thought about what people said about him, or rather anything in general.

After a moment, Yokai talks directly to him, telling him that he shouldn't dressed until after the X-ray and MRI were done, causing his eyes to narrow, and a frown to form on his lips. He wasn't about to take his clothes off again, if these people wanted to take a look at his insides with their crazy sounding machines, then they would have to deal with it and get it done with his clothes ON. Crossing his arms over his chest, his fingers tap against his upper arm, for the first time revealing the fact that his nails were colored black. He was annoyed again, but not so much as he was before, or right when he got to the hospital. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, he rolls his eyes before talking.

"Yes, well, they are just going to have to deal with me wearing clothing now aren't they? I do not feel in the mood to take my clothes off again, being as I was, I felt uncomfortable and overexposed, especially with a woman in the same room as me when I'm almost completely nude. You understand, don't you?"

On another note, why was Yokai moving closer towards him? This was just odd, as there was absolutely no reason for the other male to be taking steps to him, closing the gap that spaced them. To compensate for the advancement that Yokai had made, Artemis takes a few steps back, but before realized it, his back bumps against the counter with the sink on it, and his hand goes back, resting on the white ceramic of the surface. His eyes look around, and come to rest on the door, and, despite himself, hoping that those people who called themselves doctor would come back soon. It hadn't been much, but that little bit of what Yokai had done...it had made him feel uncomfortable. Not many people could just confront him like that, just walk up to him...or at least...he had a gut feeling that was what it was like for him.

"Do you know when that doctor will be back? I'd like it if they hurried up, I'm starting to get irritated again, and I hate the disgusting smell of this room. It's making my nose feel weird, and my eyes are starting to sting. I want to lave..."

He was talking to distract himself from the unsettling feeling he was getting from his stomach. It was working for the most part, but there was no denying that he could not completely get rid of that feeling he was getting. Just as he was about to go back to sitting on the bed again, his eyes catch movement, as the door knob to the room began to turn, and then the door itself opens. To his relief, it was the doctor that appears, stepping inside, and the look that he could see and was given to him was that that man also disapproved of him having put his clothes back on. But he says nothing, only waiting to be told what to do next, wanting nothing more than to just get out of that place.

Yokai simply looked at Artemis with a raised brow. "Mizuka is a nurse... So it's only natural for her to see a man, let alone anyone else nearly naked- or possibly naked. Being in the health business, regardless of gender, it's her job. So don't fret over it too much, but I do understand being uncomfortable. I was never a fan of hospitals..." Yokai said, figuring that Artemis simply didn't remember anything about nurses or something like that due to his memory loss. Whoever Artemis was, Yokai certainly hoped the guy would get his memories back soon. Who knew if someone was missing him? There were many possibilities...

And right as Yokai was going to mention something, the doctor came back in. The moment he saw Artemis, his eyes widened slightly in surprise. clearly, he hadn't thought Artemis would get up. With a soft sigh he asked Yokai what was going on. Simply, Yokai told him that Artemis had gotten dressed and felt uncomfortable when he was slightly nude. Yokai also made it known that Artemis did not want a scan if that meant he had to strip again. So after the doctor paused for a moment, he let out a sigh. "Very well. There are three options here. Simply, we don't do the testing, though I would recommend it. We scan him with his clothes on, given he cannot have any metals on him. Or I could sedate him, redress him and resume protocol... Now what shall it be, Mr... Artemis?"

And as soon as the doctor had said that, Yokai looked from him to Artemis, he had a feeling he already knew what the other male might say... But nonetheless, he had to ask. So Yokai asked Artemis, "He said there are three options now. We don't do the testing, though he recommends that you do get tested. They could scan you with your clothes on, but you can't have any metals on you. Or..." Yokai hesitated a moment, knowing Artemis would not want this option, "Or... they could sedate you, put you unconscious and do what they need to do... The option is yours to decide, Artemis."

Waiting for the conversation between the doctor and Yokai to be over, Artemis stood there with his arms crossed over his chest, a rather impatient expression beginning to grow once more upon his face. When the doctor stopped talking, the only thing that he could actually pick up on the older man being said was his own name, his eyes shift to look at the male he could understand, taking in what was being explained to him.

Raising an eyebrow at the mentioning of keeping his clothes on to get the X-ray done, just he couldn't have any metals, he simply had to roll his eyes. Why couldn't he have been told this from the very get go? That would have been a whole lot simpler, and definitely a big deal easier than waiting until now to have these things explained to him. He most definitely was not going to end up getting 'sedated' as it was called, not liking the way that it had been explained earlier, and since it was recommended, he might as well get this done. Not that he wanted to stay in this place any longer. It was starting to be the biggest pain ever.

Sighing deeply and shrugging, he unclasps his coat and takes it off so he was just wearing the white shirt beneath, as well as the belt, and his boots. There was nothing left on him that was metal, so in his mind he was good to go. Folding his jacket, he places it on the empty seat, along with the belt, and on the floor next to it went his boots. As he did this, his mind wandered to the mentioning earlier of the woman being a nurse, but even after being told that Artemis still did not feel comfortable. Why...that was a mystery to him. Not that he cared for the woman, or even cared that he saw her, just something he was feeling in the pit of his stomach.

Looking then from Yokai to the doctor, he takes a deep breath, reaching up and running a hand through his long hair, the white locks falling gently back in to place after his fingers had passed through. Then he speaks up, voice etched with the tone of how annoyed he was, and how badly he just wanted to get this over and done with, so he could leave and get outside in the fresh air.

"Well, let's get this done. I've got no other metal on me, so we can go now, right?"

He raises an eyebrow, and waits for Yokai to tell the doctor this, and once all that had been confirmed, he allows the doctor to lead him to wherever it had to be to get this exam in place. As he was led down the hall, he could not help but let his eyes wander, taking in the sight all around him, all the strange objects and contraptions, and the many people whom looked so strange to him. None looked like him, all looked completely different, but maybe that was because they were in this 'Japan' place? Who knew? Not that it really mattered to him, he'd eventually forget all about it.

It actually sucked being the only one that could understand Artemis. Whilst he did understand why the other male would be impatient, he didn't like how demanding he was. This guy probably was a pain in the ass on a normal basis. Yokai wasn't even sure if he wanted to deal with the guy or not. He wanted to help him, yet- "Hai, hai... er- Yes, Artemis, don't get your panties in a bunch. Patience is a virtue, you know?" Then Yokai turned to the doctor, telling him that Artemis was ready.

From there it was a smooth transition. They went from one room, down a long hall, past many doors, until finally past double doors. They ended up in a decently larger room with a decently large machine. Along the way, Yokai would glance at Artemis curiously. He wondered how everything appeared in his mind. Was everything strange to him? Yokai wondered if not knowing his surroundings made Artemis a little skittish. Perhaps that was the reason he was so on edge. Or worse, maybe it was just part of his personality. Artemis was a jerk all of the time.

Looks be damned, if Artemis was a dick all of the time, Yokai wanted nothing to do with him. Given, he could act this way because he had no idea what was happening. Still... Yokai would have to see how this guy acted. Mizuka was right about one thing and Yokai wouldn't admit she was right, but... Artemis was handsome... And all Yokai could think right at that moment, besides feeling sorry for him, was that Artemis had a nice ass... It was so unfair. Why did he have to be attracted to men who were usually assholes..?

Once they got to their destination, the doctor turned to Yokai, informing him that Artemis would have to lay on the bed, preferably on his back and arms to the side. He also told Yokai that Artemis would have to hold still, be calm, and that he would not be harmed during the process. And so, that's what Yokai told him, "The doctor says that you just need to lay in that bed over there." Yokai pointed to the obvious medical bed in the middle of the room. He spoke again, "He said to hold still and you won't be harmed at all. I promise. Just stay calm and breath. If you need to, Artemis, if you get scared just close your eyes... Okay?"
