There is an endless road of possibilities for you to choose from, side roads spindling off in another direction, choices to make, missions to accomplish, people to meet, and things to do. So, off you go, new student of Hogwarts! Get ready for one of the most exciting adventures of your life! A small figure darts back and forth among the figures that dot the road of Diagon Alley, seemingly lost, but at the same time, almost looking as if they knew exactly what they were doing. Silvery white hair glimmered and shined like freshly fallen snow in the sun that shone up above, for once not dotted out by clouds in the sky. This was quite the small fellow, clutching a list in his tiny hand, and a string of parcels in his other. At one point he stops, and goes into one of the buildings that line the road, taking about five or so minutes, before appearing once more outside, this time with one more box added to the things he was carrying. Then, mumbling to himself, he would be on the move again, like a busy little bee, scurrying from one flower to the next, never stopping in one place for too long, afraid to miss out on an opportunity that might be waiting elsewhere. It was obvious by the way he was moving that he didn't have a lot of time, and was in a hurry. Pale, icy blue eyes flicker from the writing on the parchment, then up again, constantly back and forth. "Okay, one last place, then I'm done..." He murmurs to himself, scurrying off to another place. It was not much longer until he had to get going, or else he would be late. And that definitely would not have been a good start to a new year at the school he was going to that very same day. Time passes, and as the clock hand ticked, he was moving as fast as he could. He'd made sure to get up early enough, but it seemed that even that didn't help. By now he was practically running, dodging people who were walking up and down the platforms at the train station, trying to keep control of his trolley that held everything. It was a good thing he had that all ready and waiting for him, or he would never had made it. As he rushed forth, he tried to remember how to get on to the platform he needed, but it was shown to him by a family of four, two identically looking boys, except for their eyes, and their parents. They slip through the wall between platforms nine and ten, disappearing from sight, the other people all around not even noticing. Taking a deep breath, he mimics what the family had done, and within seconds he was on the other side, now in the place he needed to be. Platform Nine and Three Quarters. The bright red train that was waiting there had the words 'Hogwarts Express' on it, and was quite magnificent indeed. As he stared at it in awe, a wheel of his trolley hits a bump, and in the blink of an eye, it spins out of control, his possessions flying everywhere, as well as himself. He comes to a stop only due to the fact that he had run into a pair of legs. Squinting, he looks up to see himself looking at a blonde. Quickly he scoots away, ignoring how his scraped knees and palms hurt. "Sorry!" He gasps, before hurrying to collect his things, a pure white raven coming to settle upon his shoulders, as the door to the cage it had been it was popped open. This wasn't good. He only had about ten more minutes to get his things together before the train left. Just as he'd passed through the gate that led to platform nine and three quarters, a cat firmly held in his arms, Jasper glances back at the white haired boy that was looking desperately at them, almost as if he was confused. Raising an eyebrow, he focuses on staying with his parents and dreadful twin brother, Atlas. His parents were talking to them, as they walked, looking for somewhere to load their belongings, and talking at the same time. "Don't forget to write dears. We would love to hear what you've been up to!" His mother says, smiling cheerfully. His father nods in agreement. "Yes, and stay out of trouble. We'd hate to hear that you're causing any problems for such a school." They reach an empty spot, and after storing their things, they get on the train after their mother and father give them a hug. "Bye mother, bye father. I'll write as soon as we get to the school! And I'll make sure Jasper stays out of trouble." Atlas says, nudging his brother rather hard in the ribs. The smaller of the twins only growls and grumbles, mumbling a goodbye as well, before going to sit down, or at least, trying to find a place. His brother goes the opposite way, leaving Jasper relieved. He loves his brother, but at the same time he hated him. He was more outgoing, cooler, had a friendly personality, made friends easily, and was pretty much awesome. And then there was himself, Jasper. Not so outgoing, kind of a nerd, and way shy, so it was hard to make friends. As he reached a open door, he hears a commotion outside, and peeks out a window, seeing that the boy from earlier had crashed his cart, his things going every which way. A small frown forms, and he shakes his head, sighing. He kind of felt sorry for the kid, he was tiny, and from what Jasper could see, was all by himself. But that was none of his business, and he moves on, reaching the open door. But, once again, he was out of luck. This spot was taken too. But he really didn't feel like searching any longer. "Um, excuse me, do you mind, er, if I, uh...sit here with you?" His voice was shaky, as he tried to speak a little louder than normal, so that the other could hear him. Solstice, the cat, meows softly, rubbing her head underneath Jasper's chin, making it tickle, so he laughs softly. "Stop it Solstice..." He murmurs to the cat, glancing down at her, before looking up again at the person once more. shinya's riddle
"What else is it that you need to get, darling?" A woman's voice was heard addressing a young, blonde boy with almond-shaped hazel eyes. "You took the list off of my a while ago, mother. How can i possibly know?" the little boy replied with a frustrated look on his face. Jonne had recently received a letter saying that he had gotten accepted to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. That particular school had the best reputation and it was considered an elite school with excellent teachers, it was almost legendary. Jonne had heard about that school from his parents, especially from his mother. All the stories and myths that followed Hogwarts always fascinated him and now it was finally time for him to witness all that greatness himself. He was excited as well as scared about it. "Yes, you're right." Jonne's mother said and went on talking."Next stop, the wand shop." She gently grabbed Jonne's hand and along with his husband, Jonne's father, they tried to move fast. It seemed that time went by really quickly on that day. "Here we are." Jonne's father said as he pulled the door open. They all entered the house and he pulled the door close. "Make sure not to touch anything, son." his father said with a strict look on his face while looking at his son. Jonne nodded even though he really wanted to touch everything his eye caught. It was a new experience to him and he wanted to feel it with all his senses. "Come here, son." Both his parents told him and Jonne approached them only to see a wand collection before his eyes. His eyes widened in amazement. His very own wand he thought and his pale white fingers touched a wand made of hawthorn and dragon heartstring. Unfortunately, the wand didn't "choose" him to be its wielder so he went for a second one. He picked up a second wand made of ebony and unicorn hair. He made it on his second try. He got chosen by the wand. Joy replaced his disappointment and a smile formed on his lips. His parents were happy about him but they also hoped for their son to have been picked by a more powerful wand. After a few seconds, they paid for the wand and they exited the shop. "It seems that we're finally done!""We should hurry to the platform now." Jonne's mother suggested and both father and son nodded. There was a huge crowd at Diagon Alley but they managed to move fast leaving all of the terrified-looking children who were shopping for school supplies that were needed for their first year in Hogwarts behind. After a couple of families passed through the wall, it was Jonne's family turn to do so. On the other side now and in one piece, they had finally reached the end of their destination and it was now Jonne's beginning of his own journey, to immerse himself in the world of magic, adventure and knowledge. His thirst for knowledge wasn't easy to quench. He had to know everything, he wanted to know everything. A few moments passed and it's time for him to bid his parents goodbye and board on the train. He put all of his school supplies in his big suitcase and he gave his parents a big hug. "Goodbye, mother, father." He couldn't even hear his own voice due to the loudness and chaos that surrounded the place. Parents bidding their children goodbye, little kids crying, probably siblings of the ones who were about to board on the train since they were in an adult's hands and last but no least, many students with their carts moving up and down. "Behave yourself and make us proud, my prince." his mother said. "We'll write you often so make sure you write back." his father instructed him. Jonne agreed and he smiled at them before turning around, heading towards the train holding his suitcase. Ten minutes before the train left and Jonne was almost there, he almost run as he run out of time. Then a crash sound was heard and he felt something hitting his legs. He looked down only to see a young boy looking at him with a pair of blue eyes, after that his eye wondered around and he noticed that there were things scattered around the him so he figured that he must have a cart accident. The white-haired boy apologized to him to which Jonne replied "It's fine." The clock was ticking, he had to board on the train fast or else he'd miss his first day at school. He looked at the station's clock and then at the boy. "If i move fast, i'll make it." he thought. He fell on his knees and he helped the boy gather his belongings. "Two hands are always better than one, right?" he said and smiled at the boy. Jonne wanted to help him, he was always willing to help others and that's exactly what we was going to do. While the boy was gathering his belongings, he saw that his hands were scratched probably from the accident he had a while ago. Suddenly, a white crow sat on the boy's shoulder. He stared at it for mere seconds, admiring its beauty. He had never seen an albino crow in his life before. An albino crow, its rarity instantly reminded him of his own pet, Erkka, an albino king snake that was wrapped around his neck at that time, a bit hard for someone to notice since she was so small and slim that seemed like a piece of jewelry that adorned Jonne's neck. The time he had spend with Erkka wasn't long but these two had formed a very strong bond. Jonne took great care of her and she had kept him company all this time. Another thing about Erkka is that she was poisonous but her poison contained healing attributes which meant that she could heal all kinds of wounds in a few seconds. Jonne kept that a secret since that would put his beloved pet in danger, it's a secret even his parents don't know about. "Is that all?" he asked the small-figured boy who seemed a bit lost at the time. "If so, hurry up, we'll barely make it." he told the boy all stressed out. The train's departure was getting closer, Jonne had to seriously hurry. "Can you get up?" he asked him as he stretched out his hand towards him. He shares a special bond with his snake Erkka to a point he would transform his snake into an object so he can carry it anywhere with him. He has a few good friends whom he cares about. Last but not least, he's always willing to help others with studying. Favorite Food: Korjalanpaisti (Hot Pot) Least Favorite Food: Silakat (Pickled Fried Herring) Subject he is strong at: Potions Subject he is weak at : None House: Ravenclaw "Daria, Daria, come here!" a feminine voice kept shouting. "What is it, mom?" a young girl answered to her calling. "Have you seen your brother?" "I've been looking everywhere for him." The woman said kind of angered. "He must be at his friend's Cecilio's house." "I'll go get him right now!" the girl said quite eager. "Thank you, angel. Tell him i'm looking for him." The girl knew where Cecilio lived, in fact it was a few blocks down so after a few minutes she got there. It was a big house with a huge backyard where her brother and other boys, his friends would spend their time playing and having fun. Daria opened the wooden door that led to the backyard. "Amatus, Amatus, over here!" she shouted but Amatus didn't hear her. It was then when some of the boys heard her and they told Amatus that his sister was there and they pointed at her. Amatus run towards her "What's up?" he asked. "Mom is looking for you! What did you do this time?" she asked curious. "I didn't do anything, really". he replied obviously clueless. "Let's go home and find out!" Daria said and after he quickly bade his friends goodbye they headed home. Once inside, their mother waited for them in the living room. "Daria, go to your room, I want to talk to your brother." Daria just nodded and she exited the room. Eugenia, Amatus' mother, showed him an envelope "Do you know what this is?" "An envelope obviously!" Amatus replied. "Do you know what's in this envelope?" "Did you even open it?" Eugenia asked irritated. "No and no, what makes this envelope a big deal?" Amatus answered back annoyed. "The deal is that you got accepted to Hogwarts, one of the best schools of magic and you're going there tomorrow." "Is that a big deal to you now?" his mother replied as her anger was giving its place to disappointment due to her son's ignorance. "You're not serious!" Amatus eyes widened in surprise. "I'm very serious, it's a chance for you to finally take magic seriously, you're a wizard after all." Eugenia ruffled his hair "It's for your own good, you'll see!" she said and left the room. Amatus sat on the couch, still finding hard to believe what has just heard. "A school for wizards?" "Who cares about that?" he kept asking himself but the decision of him going to Hogwarts was made and nothing could possibly change that. Truth be told, Amatus was no interested in magic and whatnot. He recalled his mother talking about it a lot but he just ignored her. Later that evening, his suitcase was zipped shut and ready. He bade his friends a sad goodbye after explaining them that his parents decided to send him to a boarding school but he reassured them that he'd be back for the holidays. He had to lie to them because the fact that his mother, sister as well as him were witches and wizard respectively was a secret that has been kept very well over the years. Morning came and everyone was awake, in fact Amatus couldn't sleep at all the night before since all that happened was so difficult for him to digest. First, he had to buy all the school supplies he needed before leaving, notebooks, quills, ink bottles, a wand and of course books. After every single item on his list was purchased, he and his mother headed to the 9 and 3 quarters platform so her son could start a new chapter in his life, one that would bring him that little something he needed to motivate him and finally make him embrace his destiny as a wizard. Taking a deep breath , his suitcase in one hand and holding his mother's hand with the other, they passed to the other side of the wall. His father , Adriano and his sister were there waiting for them since Adriano wasn't allowed to be at Diagon Alley since he wasn't a wizard. People panicking, running up and down , parents bidding their offsprings farewell like it was their last time seeing them , people boarding on the train , these images worried Amatus but his mother's voice snapped him out of it. "It's time, son." "We'll deeply miss you , my boy." "We'll write you every day." Eugenia said with a teary look on her face. "Good luck, brother." Daria said and she hugged him tight. "Study hard but don't forget to have fun." his father said and both Eugenia and Adriano hugged their kids tight. "Bye family, i'll miss you." Amatus said with his suitcase in one hand and with the other hand he was holding his pet Bengal kitten, Dante. He headed to the train and he entered the door wondering what his eyes would witness. Things unknown to many and things that most people would never have the chance to see. After finding an empty cabin, he opened the door, he placed the kitten on the seat next to the one he was going to sit and he put his suitcase to an empty shelf above his seat. Finally, he could try to relax now. While watching Dante sleeping, he gently caressed his head, careful not to disturb his nap and he tenderly took him in his arms. Minutes later, he heard the door to his cabin opening. He turned around only to see a boy with a pet cat standing there. After a few seconds, the boy spoke up asking Amatus if it was okay for him to sit with him to which Amatus replied "Alright." with a rather aloof look on his face. His attention caught the boy's cat. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
It made absolutely no sense at all. What was the point in so many of the words that were in the dictionary? Was there a reason for that? Because as far as he was concerned, there was no explainable reason as to why such ridiculous words were even invented and acknowledged in the first place. But then again, many things that didn't matter to other people didn't make sense to him, like why everything had color, but when you turn the light off it seemed as if things became colored in gray scale. This was what was going on through the very small white haired male's head as he picked up his things off the ground, stacking them and putting them back inside the large trunk that he'd place back on his trolley. He was just picking up a book when out of the corner of his eyes he saw a pair of hands that weren't his own join in picking up his possessions off of the concrete ground. Lifting his gaze from the hands, he looks to the other person's face, and saw that it was the blonde boy that he'd literally rolled into like a bowling ball. The boy spoke up, saying that two hands were better than one. That he could not agree with more. He smiles brightly at the other. "Thanks!" He continues to move, until all of his things were picked up and put away, the white raven back in her cage. "Huh?" He looks to the other, who had spoke up again, asking if that was everything. Nodding, he checks the ground one last time to make sure, and was happy to see that everything had indeed been recovered. Accepting the hand that was outstretched to him, he stands up, and even though the other male was small, he was even smaller, barely reaching the height of four feet and five inches. The top of his head just reached the blonde's chin. Once more grabbing his things, he hurried to the train, steam rolling out of the engine, signalling that it was about time to go. He was having a hard time putting everything in it's place, and hoped that it wouldn't be too much trouble for the one who had helped earlier to help just once more. When everything was done, he wipes his forehead with his sleeve, and grins at the blonde boy. "Thanks again for your help. I don't know what I would have done if no one had come! I probably would have been late. But then again, maybe the conductor might have been nice enough to help me. But thankfully he didn't need to, you did instead...Well, I'm gonna go try and find a seat..." He smiles, his grin as wide and cheesy as a goofball's, and wanders off, once more the white raven perched upon his shoulder. She'd opened the cage herself, as she was quite smart for a bird, and looks back towards the blonde boy, her light grey blue eyes matching in color to that of the boy's eyes of who's shoulder she was riding on. Tilting her head, she shuffles her wings, before looking ahead. The boy walked rather haphazardly, stumbling and tripping every now and then, but never finding a place to sit. He appeared to have totally forgotten what he was even doing and looking for, and now was just pointlessly walking up and down the train's corridors, the expression of a complete ditz splashed like paint across his face, and a big smile still where it had been left from smiling at the boy who had helped him. For a moment it was quiet, the only sounds being that of the voices of the other students on the train, random animal noises, and the hissing of the train as it worked on getting ready to move and head towards their destination: Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But after a second or two the boy who was sitting in there with his own cat, finally speaks up, agreeing to Jasper's request to sit there with him. He smiles shyly, before sitting on the seat across from the other, Solstice settling in his lap, curling up and laying her head on her paws. Almost immediately she began purring, which made Jasper smile again. He remained quiet though, but noises made him confused and he looks towards the door. It sounded as if footsteps were walking back and forth in front of the door, constantly, and from the sound of it, rather dizzy footsteps indeed. But he ignores it after a while, glancing across to the other boy, who was quiet and rather...dignified looking. His eyes land on the cat sitting next to the black haired boy, a rather pretty one. Even though he was shy, he could not contain himself or the excitement he was feeling, so spoke up after a while. "Um, what's your cat's name? He's really regal looking. Mine's named Solstice...And, uh, I'm Jasper Fitzroy Bl-...Err...Just call me Jasper. What's you're name?" He'd stumbled a bit on his last name, not wanting to say it, as it was something he was quite insecure about. Though the boy across from him looked aloof and rather stuck up, Jasper truly hoped that he would answer the questions that had been asked. As he waited, he could feel the train around them slowly start to move, the sound of the train whistle outside signalling their departure. Glancing out the window, he could see the remaining parents and family of the students waving good-bye, some with smiles, other with tears, and some with both. He couldn't see his mother or father, and was pretty sure that they hadn't stuck around, due to certain circumstances. Even though he knew this, he couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness in his heart, wondering what it would be like to have a normal family. Sighing, he leans his head back on the seat, and looks up at the train's ceiling, smiling a very small smile as the train began to pick up speed, and they leave the station, light from outside trailing in through the window. Before any thoughts could pass through his head, a banging came at the door, causing Solstice to jump slightly, as well as Jasper himself. His eyes focus on the door, but a angry look in his eyes flicker into place when it slides open, revealing his brother and a couple of his friends. One was a dark blonde haired boy, who was smaller than the others, the second boy had light brown hair and a kind expression, and the third had messy dark brown hair and glasses. "Hey bro, looks like you found yourself a seat! Though I gotta admit, you look kinda gloomy sitting there!" The one with glasses snickers. Jasper just looks away, his face turning red. "Aw, come on Jazz, don't be like that! You should come sit with us." The boy with glasses said, though by the way his voice sounded he wasn't serious at all. "Shut up, James. Leave me alone. You know, you're only popular 'cause you're the son of a famous person." Jasper glares at them all, but mainly his brother Atlas, and James, the one with glasses. Who looked rather shocked that Jasper would say such a thing. "Come on you guys, leave Jasper alone." The boy with brown hair says softly. He was smiling when he said this, and even though he wasn't trying to be rude it felt that way to Jasper. "You all just need to leave me alone. Especially you Atlas. I don't want you around me any more, so go away." With this, he looks away, but none of them leave. Atlas only scoffs, a mischievous look on his face. "Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do about it? Cry to mother?" He'd stepped forward into the room, and the brown haired boy tugs at his sleeve. Atlas glances back, and huffs. "Awe, come on Teddy, you know I'm not gonna do anything..." He looks back at Jasper, who was sitting as still as a rock, though if hone looked close enough, they could see he was trembling slightly. He just wanted them to go away... "Maybe we should leave him alone you guys..." The blonde says, looking at Jasper. "Aw, man, not you too Oliver! I think I'm gonna stay...and keep my little twin brother some company... " He smirks, and moves in even more, as if totally oblivious to the other person in the room. shinya's riddle
Jonne was glad to see that the boy had accepted his hand and he helped him get up. It was then when he realized much to his surprise that the latter was indeed quite smaller than he was. Once the boy’s belongings were all packed up and it was made sure that there was nothing missing, Jonne looked at the white haired boy only to see a bright smile on his face and hear words of gratitude coming out of his mouth. “Don’t mention it, I’m sure someone would have come to help you. Yes, you should hurry actually, it seems that the train is leaving. I should hurry too.” Jonne said before grinning broadly at the boy and moving towards the train in the hopes of finding a place to sit and rest.Three minutes before the train left, Jonne entered the train and he quickly checked every cabin by looking inside them. Many steps and a few minutes later, he finally found an empty cabin which made him feel relieved. He opened the cabin’s door and after taking care of his luggage, he sat down while letting a sigh out. He looked outside the window, a beautiful scenery made his eyes lighten up thinking of all the new and unexplored places he would have the chance to see and find out about. All these mysterious places that would unravel right before his eyes. That alone made him smile as it could be seen from the window reflection. Suddenly, Jonne felt something tickling his neck. It was his snake, Erkka. She was flicking her forked tongue out every few seconds so she could “smell” the new environment she wasn’t used to. She then slid from Jonne’s neck down to his arm and then Jonne gently took her and he placed her in his hands but she didn’t like that spot so she would wrap herself around Jonne’s arm or neck which she did. She wrapped herself around Jonne’s forearm and stood still. The blonde boy then tenderly petted her head and smiled. “We are going to be alright.” he said to her and he continued caressing her head. The train started moving which meant only one thing; his adventure had begun. He couldn’t help but thinking about his first day there, would he make friends there? How are teachers going to be like? Will he be accepted by his peers? Would he always have something interesting to share with the ones around him? His train of thought got interrupted by something he saw. It was the boy he helped a while ago passing outside his door. “He must still be looking for a seat.” he reasoned. Things got a bit confusing after a while since he saw the boy passing outside his door a couple more times with a rather lost look on his face. Jonne then got up, he opened the door and he waited for the boy to pass by again. That didn’t take long to happen so as soon as he saw him, he stopped him. “There is a seat for you here, if you don’t mind sharing a cabin with me, of course.” Jonne said and he waited for the boy to answer. Amatus took a brief look at the boy who sat down but after a second he was once again absorbed in his own thoughts. It was obvious that he didn’t want to be there, he wanted to go back, to be with his friends, to play and have fun like everyone his age. He wanted to be free like he used to, not restraint with invisible to others chains. A few moments later, the boy ,who was there with him, spoke up asking him about his kitten’s name as well as his own. Amatus looked at him “His name is Dante. Your cat is pretty as well as her name.” A faint smile could be seen on his face before introducing himself. “Amatus Corvi.” The smile was short-lived but his eyes kept staring at the boy for a while, before focusing on Dante. The train was moving, noises and yelling could be heard from outside but it was bearable. Amatus started caressing Dante’s fur slowly and gently to which the kitten responded with several licks on his fingers. A broad smile appeared on his face until Dante bit him playfully and Amatus giggled. “Do you really wanna go to that so-called school of witchcraft?” he asked the boy all of a sudden. It was a rather odd question to ask but Amatus wanted to know if there was anyone else who may felt the way he did even to the slightest degree. He was convinced though that the answer he would get from each and everyone on that train would be the same. Yes. Everyone was excited to go to this school except for him! Suddenly, the door opened. It was a bunch of boys and Amatus wasn’t really interested in interacting with them so he just minded his own business. Besides, it was impossible for all of them to sit there with them so they would eventually leave but they wouldn’t. After hearing them talking, Amatus realized that they weren’t looking for a seat but for a fight. It was really none of his business but it was incomprehensible to him how that boy talked that way to his brother. Amatus loved his sister as well as she did and they always enjoyed each others’ company. Apart from that, the other boys seemed to enjoy this and they started picking on Jasper as well. It was an ugly sight for him to watch and since he had been in a situation like this before and not just once, he knew exactly how it would end. This kept on for a little while and Amatus thought that enough was enough so he decided to take matters into his own hands and got it over with. He got up and he approached Jasper, he gave him an encouraging smile before standing in front of him blocking his brother from coming closer. The smile was instantly replaced by an angry look and a pair of dark blue eyes scowling at the boy’s brother. “You have three seconds to beat it, after that I can’t guarantee you will be able to.”
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
'Above black eagles wheeling, All of a sudden swooping, My little baby stealing, Sleep, little baby, sleep. Above black eagles soaring, A crown of pearls left lying, Your stupid father snoring. Sleep, little baby, sleep. Above black eagles flying, My little baby clutching, And all the world a-spying, Sleep, little baby, sleep. Above black birds ascending, My baby’s flesh a-rending, And all the world attending. Sleep, little baby, sleep.' The small white haired male hummed these words under his breath as he continued to trot back and forth, up and down the train's corridor, not bothering anyone really, minding his own business. However, hear and there a person would notice him, and go to the door, watching him in confusion as he passed by, wondering what he was doing. Some would just sit down, act as if they hadn't seen him, others would laugh and gesture for their friends to see what they were looking at. But none would help him, for reasons unknown. Not that he really cared, he wasn't paying attention to what anybody else was doing. He was content, and that was all that mattered. A voice suddenly speaks up behind him, and he pauses, turning slightly to look and see who had spoken to him, when who should it be but the blonde boy who had helped him. He was surprised at the offer that was made to him, and he tilts his head slightly to the side, the albino raven upon his shoulder mimicking, and tilting her head as well. "Is that what I was looking for? I don't remember...By the way, do you know where this train is headed? I'm supposed to be on my way to Hogwarts...at least I think I am..." He steps towards the open cabin, slipping past the boy and looking around, before whirling around and giving the boy a rather goofy smile and a playful salute. "By the way, I'm Emrys!" He plops down on one of the seats, bouncing up and down, his feet not reaching the floor. Kicking his legs lightly, he rocks back and forth in his seat, from side to side, and begins to hum that song again, the smile from before still on his lips. The raven moves from his shoulder, fluttering to sit upon the windowsill, watching the scenery as it moved past. After a moment or two, he speaks up again, addressing the blonde. "Are you going to Hogwarts too?" Tilting his head once more, he lays flat on the bench, raising his legs up in the air, and reaching up with his arms, grabbing his feet with his hands. He giggles, quite happy with entertaining himself. Suddenly he speaks up, and sits up quickly. HEY! You wanna see my wand? It's pretty cool!" His eyes were lit up and sparkly, and his face had an eager look on it. So, their names were Dante, and Amatus Corvi. Despite the smile being faint, Jasper thought it looked nice. He had just been about to answer the question of wanting to go to the school, when the whole fiasco with his brother took place. Atlas was just about to step closer, and speak up again, when suddenly Amatus got up from where he was sitting, moving over to Jasper. He saw the smile, and couldn't help but shyly smile back, wondering what the boy was going to do. That thought was answered very quickly when Amatus faces Atlas, preventing him from coming closer to his twin, the kind look being replaced by one of anger. Atlas frowns, his fingers clutching into fists, but he does nothing. Instead he just scoffs. "Tch, looks like you already got yourself a new babysitter. I sure feel bad for this sorry git. Have fun watching over this loser. Whatever..." He backs away, and motions for the other three to leave as well, and with one last glance back at his brother, he leaves, shutting the door loudly, which made Jasper flinch. He lowers his eyes, staring at his hands, which were clasped tightly in his lap, holding firmly on to a small, long, thin box. He felt ashamed, having someone he didn't even know well stick up for him, but that doesn't mean he wasn't grateful. "Thank you..." He murmurs quietly, biting his bottom lip, his hair falling into his face, hiding his eyes and the fact that he was close to tears. Right then and there, Jasper felt like a complete loser, and Solstice could sense that he was upset, so moves back to sit in his lap again, as she'd moved out of sight when Atlas and company had arrived. Curling up, she kneads softly at his stomach, and purrs in a comforting way, not wanting to see Jasper looks so sad. She even goes as far as to lean up to his face, and rubs his cheeks with her own, wiping away the tears that had started to fall. "I'm sorry that you had to deal with them for me...But thanks again for helping..." Not once did he lift his face, he didn't want Amatus to see the tears that were still there on his cheeks, the ones that Solstice didn't manage to rub away. His hand lets go of the box it was clutching, and his arms move so that he was hugging the cat, holding her close to his chest, and burying his face into her soft, fluffy body. She purrs louder, doing what she could to make Jasper feel better. Once she even glanced over at Amatus and Dante, as if telling them to help. shinya's riddle
Jonne smiled at the boy and he replied to his questions without really questioning them even though they seemed kind of strange. “This train is heading to Hogwarts and I suppose that you were looking for one considering that you were walking up and down the train’s corridor a while ago.” He followed the boy’s moves and his smile became wider after the boy introduced himself. “My name is Jonne, it’s nice to meet you, Emrys.” He wasn’t really sure if the boy heard him though since as soon as he introduced himself, he started jumping up and down in an energetic and enthusiastic manner. Jonne couldn’t help but staring at the white haired boy. He thought of him to be rather amusing instead of bizarre as someone else may have thought. After a while, the small-figured boy spoke up asking Jonne if he was going to Hogwarts. “Yes, I am and so are you.” he answered and he couldn’t help but giggle at what the boy was doing. He wasn’t making fun of him, it was quite the opposite actually. Jonne felt happy that even once in his life he could be a small part of something that was in fact enjoyable and definitely not something his parents would have approved of. He could totally imagine the reaction of his parents if he was doing things like Emrys did in front of them. A look of disapproval and disappointment mixed with embarrassment. Jonne quickly snapped out of it and he focused on Emrys once again. The boy wanted to show him his wand and he was all excited about it. The look on his face, his silvery blue eyes gleaming in enthusiasm, an odd eye color but certainly an enchanting one which Jonne found disarming. “Yes, of course. I can show you mine if you want later on, but first we should fix you up.” the blonde boy said and he sat next to Emrys with Erkka still being wrapped around his forearm. Jonne didn’t forget about the boy’s scratched hands and knees so as soon as he sat down, he took Emrys’ hands with their palms facing up in his own. “Stay still and don’t be afraid. Can you do that?” Jonne asked him hoping that the boy would accept his help. After Jasper’s brother and his friends left, the once pleasant atmosphere in Amatus’ and Jasper’s cabin was replaced by discomfort and uneasiness. Amatus was well-aware of the fact that the boy’s brother wouldn’t let Jasper be and that he would definitely find a chance to bully his brother in the long run but he was glad that he could give Jasper a break even a temporary one from what he was going through with a brother like him. The blue eyed boy wanted to find words of comfort as he glanced at Jasper seeing how sad and afraid he had gotten. Tons of words were crossing his mind but no matter what he would say, they would seem futile and wrong. He couldn’t be in his shoes therefore being aware of what Jasper felt deep inside him was impossible for him to know. Suddenly, Jasper’s voice was faintly heard saying thank you so Amatus approached the seat next to him and he sat in it saying “Don’t worry about it.” He then fell in silence as he was afraid of saying something stupid or that maybe something that would come out wrong. All he did was staring at Jasper who had lowered his head, holding on to a box and Solstice trying to cheer him up in her own way. The boy spoke words of gratitude once again but this time something sounded different in his voice. It was obvious that he was crying which would explain him not showing his face all along. As soon as, Amatus realized it, he got up and he knelt before Jasper. He placed both of his hands on his face and he lifted Jasper’s face up just so he could see him. “You won’t be needing these anytime soon.” he said and he wipped the boy’s tears with his index finger that was slightly bended so he wouldn’t accidentally hurt Jasper’s eyes. “I see no other option but you hanging out with me.” Amatus said and a grin full of confidence formed on his lips. “How does that sound?” he asked the boy with a glint of anticipation in his eyes. It was then when Dante so out of the blue jumped off the seat he was napping on and he approached Amatus trying to climb up his lap while the latter was still on his knees. That was an action made in vain since Dante couldn’t get a grip of his owner’s clothing. As soon as this plan failed, Dante tried to jump on the seat that was next to Jasper again in vain, he tried once more and his attempt was successful. He began sniffing Solstice that was on Jasper’s lap and then Jasper, he then turned around to face his owner and he meowed at him before playing with Solstice tail. Amatus giggled at what he saw and it totally seemed like Dante was having fun.
~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Even though he barely heard is since he was bouncing up and down and goofing off on the seat, he'd heard the boy introduce himself as Jonne. But that didn't matter, as almost immediately after hearing it, the name slipped from his mind, and he'd forgotten. At the offer to see Jonne's wand, Emrys nods quickly, his eyes lighting up even more, and he was in the process of pulling out his wand from his sleeve when the other came over to him, saying that that should fix him up. He'd totally forgotten about getting hurt, and he looks down at his hands, which were scraped and rather red, with dots of dried blood on the skin, and dirt. "Oh...okay!" He smiles widely at Jonne, before sitting still like he had been told to. His eyes glances to the wand that he'd pulled out, and set on the bench next to them, it was quite unique. It had a nature look to it, the wand itself was carved to look like it was from a tree, but the most amazing thing about it was the ruby at the end of the handle part. It nearly matched identically to the ruby that he wore around his neck, which hung on a thin silver chain. As he stared at it, he slowly begins to kick his legs, and hums softly under his breath. He wasn't even paying attention to what Jonne was doing, only the things that rattled around inside his head. Emrys was starting to get impatient again, and glances towards Jonne, wondering if the other was done yet. "Hey, how long do you think it will take to get to Hogwarts?" He wanted to know, because he was super excited about going there. When he glances at his hands, he notices something, and points it out. "Is that a real snake? Or is it fake? If it is real, what's it's name? Her name is Faerydae. Isn't she so pretty?" He points over to the white raven, who looks at them, ruffles her feathers, before crowing quietly, as if acknowledging them, before looking out the window once more. Jasper was surprised when he felt a pair of hands on his cheeks, lifting his face so he was looking right at Amatus. His eyes were still forming tears, and they shimmered with unshed ones, his face the very visual definitely of pure dismay and loneliness. Blinking lightly, he was even more surprised when the tears were gently wiped away, but what surprised him the most was what was said to him next. His eyes open wide, and he looks straight in to Amatus' eyes. Did he...did he really mean that? "I...you mean...you mean like friends? How friends always hang out? Really? You...you want me to hang out with you?" A grin began to form on his lips, and more tears began to form, but this time they were not sad ones. No, they were tears of happiness. He nods, and giggles softly. "Yeah, I..I would like that. I would like that a lot!" He smiles a big smile now, practically glowing from the inside out, as if the clouds had parted and the sun finally was shining through. Noticing what Dante was doing, he laughs again, Solstice mewling softly, before uncurling herself and tackling Dante, playing around, before settling down and licking him behind the ears, almost as if they had known each other forever. It seemed as if those two wanted to be friends, that was for sure. He looks to Amatus, a bubbly happiness forming in his stomach, glad that maybe, just maybe, he'd finally made his very first friend. Despite not having wanted to come earlier...he was beginning to change his mind, and was actually quite glad that he was on the train. If he hadn't...he'd never have met Amatus. "If you don't mind my asking...What house do you want to be in? Or think you'll end up in?" He asks, tilting his head ever so slightly. If they were to be friends...he wanted to get know Amatus. shinya's riddle
Jonne was glad that Emrys had once again accepted his help and he grinned back to the boy before taking Erkka in his hands. His hands approached the boy’s so Erkka could heal his wounds with her poison but in order to do that she would have to bite the boy. Her bite wasn’t painful but it left a sense of numbness for a few seconds. It’s been a year or two since Jonne had found out about Erkka and the mystery about her poison. It was a sunny day, odd since weather in Finland was always cloudy and the sun was always hidden behind these white, strange-shaped clouds that made everyone, who looked at them, wanting to touch them. On a day like this, Jonne was playing outdoors. His parents were inside the house preparing lunch. It was then when he tried to climb to a big tree that has been in their garden long before they moved there. Lots of vain attempts till he finally managed to grab one of the branches and he tried to lift himself up resulting for the branch to break and Jonne to fall on the ground. He hadn’t broken anything, only a few scratches and bruises could be seen. He was lucky. He found himself in a shock because such a thing had never happened to him before. He shed no tears instead he sat there silent looking at his scratched hands. Suddenly, something was crawling on the ground heading towards Jonne. The boy didn’t notice till an albino baby snake appeared in front of him sticking his tongue out, getting closer and closer to his hands. He was terrified even though it was a small snake, then he remembered reading in a book that if he stood still and he made no careless moves that the snake would go away without attacking him. Jonne stood still but the snake kept coming closer to him till it crawled its way on his hands. The snake stuck its tongue out once more and then he bit him. The boy closed his eyes shut as if he was in pain but he wasn’t, all he could feel was just a sense of numbness. Seconds later, he opened his eyes just to see that all of the scratches and bruises that were once covering his hands were now long gone. Could it be that the snake did it? He didn’t believe it but there was no other explanation behind it. Jonne then smiled at the snake that was staring at him and it then crawled on his arm wrapping its small body around his forearm. Strangely enough his parents had no objection against Jonne keeping the snake; in fact they considered it a source of knowledge for their son. A new experience. So Erkka, the name that was given to her by Jonne, stayed with him up until now. Once Erkka got closer to the boy’s hands, close enough to bite them, she opened her mouth and her fangs were almost touching Emrys’ skin. Since Emrys was sitting still, it was easier for the snake to do her job which she did mere seconds after touching the boy’s flesh. She bit him and Jonne was anxious and nervous because Erkka had never done this to anyone but him and soon his doubts and worry faded away as he saw that the scratches and blood on the white haired boy’s hands belonged to the past. “Did it hurt? Are you alright?” Jonne asked with a concerned look on his face. While waiting for an answer, he took Erkka in his hands yet again and this time the small albino snake crawled down Emrys’ legs and once more the same procedure followed. After the boy’s wounds were healed, Jonne tried to take his snake back into his hands but much to his surprise he saw Erkka crawling her way up and wrapping herself around Emrys’ hand. All Jonne did was to smile broadly and all of a sudden he heard Emrys asking him when they would get to Hogwarts. “In a couple of hours maybe three, it’s already dark outside so I guess soon. We’ve been here for many hours.” He replied and grinned at him. Emrys seemed to have realized the presence of Erkka in his hand and he asked her owner about it. “It’s a real albino king snake and her name is Erkka. It seems that she has taken a liking to you.” He answered and a big smile appeared on his lips. “Faeryday, a beautiful name for a beautiful raven.” He said and he looked at the albino raven admiring its beauty and rarity once more. Amatus’ eyes glimmered with contentment as he listened to Jasper’s words and he saw the grin that followed. He made him smile and that was the best part of the whole day for him. “Hey, hey, no tears, remember?” he said with a gentle smile on his face while his eyes were staring at Jasper , as if he couldn’t look anywhere else at that moment. He was totally focused on him. “You’re talking like you have no friends but even so as long as I’m your friend, you won’t be needing others.” “We will definitely hang out a lot and have fun, no doubt about it. You’ll see for yourself.” Amatus said and he wholeheartedly grinned at Jasper as his eyes still had that spark of happiness from before and he sat on the floor. He wanted to sit close to Jasper and since the seat next to him was occupied, his only choice was the cabin’s floor. He was pleased to have met Jasper and maybe that was a small step forward for him in order to like the place he was heading to and tolerate a world that was new to him and till moments earlier totally unwanted. A twist of fate some may call it and it was a surprisingly good one because for Amatus it was working like a charm. He made a new friend and Dante did as well! In the meantime, Solstice and Dante were playing together and they obviously had become friends. After Dante was licked by Solstice, he rubbed his head on Solstice’s chin and he lied between her front legs purring softly. “To tell you the truth, I have no idea what these houses are but I’ve heard my parents talking about something called Slytherin and my mother once told me that it’d be perfect for me to be a Slytherin.””How about you?” he said and continued “Can you tell me a few things about these houses? My parents always told me about the houses, the school and all that but I never paid attention.” He chuckled nervously and he looked at Jasper. Meanwhile, the train’s speed began to cease which meant only one thing; it was time for the first year students to get off the train and head to Hogwarts where their magical journey would start. “It seems that we’re finally here.” Amatus said and he got up. ~*~FaLlEn*SnOw~*~
Emrys didn't even notice when he was being bitten, as he had totally blanked out, even missing the part when Jonne asked if it had hurt him. Eyes staring at the ceiling, he was going over random things in his mind, like what he was going to eat for supper, if there was a bathroom on this train, and if he should cut his bangs soon or just let them grow a bit longer. He began lightly chewing his bottom lip, his top teeth nibbling softly on the plump pinkish flesh. Only when the question about how much longer the train ride was going to be did he snap out of his space cadet form, and look directly at the other male who was sitting there. Blinking in surprise, he suddenly realized that something was around his wrist. It was the snake. He stares at it wide eyed, amazed that it was in fact a real animal. Pure white just like his Faerydae. She was pretty, and her name, so it seemed, was Erkka. Raising his arm so that the snake was at eye level, Emrys smiles brightly at the small serpent. "It is nice to meet you, my slithery friend Erkka!" He says to the snake, Erkka. Almost as if he was talking to real person, meeting them for the first time. Faerydae on the other hand, heard the compliment that Jonne had made about her, puffing out her chest and ruffling her feathers, raising her head proudly. She knew she was beautiful, and could feel the admiring gaze that Jonne was giving her. Her blues eyes that matched Emrys' look over at the young male, cocking her head slightly to the side. Noticing that Emrys had a snake around his wrist, she flutters over to them, landing gently onto Jonne's shoulder, her feet clenching lightly to him so that she would not fall over. "Well, lookie there! Looks like my Faerydae likes you as much as Erkka here likes me! Hehe, we're gonna get along great, just you wait and see!" He smiles brightly, his cheeks flushing up with excitement. He'd totally forgotten about showing Jonne his wand, and was completely content with just sitting there, enjoying the view. However, after a while, the train began to slow down, signalling that they were almost to their destination. They'd arrived at their destination, Hogwarts at last! Jasper clutched on to every single word that was said to him, he finally had a friend! And one that would spend time with him, said they would have fun together. He could feel his heart become lighter with the joy that came with gaining someone to call his friend. He reached up and wiped away the rest of the tears that had been on his face, so his cheeks were now try, and a twinkle appears in his eyes, a smile beginning to make it's wait on his lips. This wasn't so bad after all. A little bit surprised he was about the fact that Amatus didn't know all that much about the houses, so, in the time that was left in the ride to the school, he spent filling in the other male about each house. Hufflepuff's traits were dedication, hard work, fair play, patience, kindness, tolerance, they were unafraid of toil, and loyalty. Ravenclaw's were intelligence, wit, wisdom, creativity, originality, individuality, and acceptance. Gryffindor being bravery, nerve, chivalry, courage, and daring. Lastly was Slytherin, traits being resourcefulness, cunning, ambition, self-Preservation, cleverness, and fraternity. Sometimes it differed, but most were like this in each house. Even though he explained all of this, not once did he actually answer the bit about what house he thought he was going to be in. He wasn't completely sure, but this much he knew. He didn't want to be in the same house as his brother. If he was, he'd ask to get on the train back home, and just leave. Time seemed to fly by, and before he knew it they had arrived at Hogwarts. Standing up, he smiles at Amatus, nodding when the latter said that they were there. "Yeah..." Was all he could manage. He was feeling a bit nervous as he got Solstice back into her basket, telling her that she would be able to come out in a little bit, and she mewls at him, a little bit upset about having to be in it again. The train then comes to a complete stop, and after a moment passes the sounds of footsteps moving outside the compartment said that people were getting off the train. Taking a deep breath, he glances at Amatus, before opening the door, and slipping out in to the flow and traffic of other students, heading to and exit and getting off as well. Waiting for the other male to join him, he notices that the other first years were headed in a different direction than the other students, and walks in that direction too. Not before long, he sees a large lake, with the moon glistening off the surface. It was beautiful. Boats were at the shore, and he noticed in one of them sat an oddity. That one white haired boy from before, looking like a sore thumb from the rest of the students with his unusual colored hair. Everyone else had normal hair color, black, brown, red, blonde, but this guy...his silvery white hair was like the moon that reflected off the water of the lake. Glancing towards Amatus again, he wanted to get in to the same boat as the other male, and luckily they did. Once everyone had boarded the boats, they take off, heading in the direction of the large, magnificent castle of a school that was Hogwarts. His eyes stare at the structure, even though he'd heard stories of it, it couldn't compare to actually seeing it in person. "Isn't it...amazing?" He whispered, not once taking his eyes off the castle.
shinya's riddle
Jonne was happy to see that Emrys was totally fine, he felt no pain and he wasn't hurt, in fact his wounds were healed. After hearing the white-haired boy talking to Erkka as if she was a person, he burst into an unforced laughter not because he made fun of Emrys, he just enjoyed the way he talked to his pet. Erkka stuck her forked tongue out as if this was her way to say that she was happy to have met the boy and her grip on his wrist tightened. Jonne looked at Faerydae once again and he could understand by her actions that she must have been flattered by his words like she had completely comprehended each one of them. Suddenly, she flapped her wings and landed on Jonne's shoulder quite gracefully. It felt like she was dancing in the air. He then lifted his hand and he reached for the bird's head in order to pet it hoping that Faerydae would allow it. Emrys commented on Jonne being liked by his pet and it indeed seemed so. The atmosphere was great and he was elated and pleased to have met Emrys. His personality wasn't one Jonne was used to, in fact he liked him because of that very reason. He just stood there looking at the boy and all he could do was smiling broadly at him. After a while, the train seemed to have finally stopped which only meant one thing. Jonne's dream was about to become reality. "You should put Faerydae in her cage now, it seems that soon we will have to get off the train." Jonne advised Emrys and he held his arm out, having his palm turned so Erkka could wrap herself around it. After she did so, Jonne placed his hand on his chest allowing his beloved pet to crawl around his neck just like before they got on the train. Erkka once again seemed like an ornament that adorned Jonne's neck. "Are you ready to go?" Jonne asked with a smile on his face. "Make sure you stay close to me, alright?" he said and he opened their cabin's door. He waited for the boy to come out and then he closed the door behind them. Jonne was surprised to see so many first years going to Hogwarts and that only made him a bit worried regarding losing Emrys in the crowd so he took the little boy's hand and they started following the other students. Many steps later, they were at the shore of the lake that separated them from reaching their destination. A beautiful lake that Jonne had heard so much about by his parents. About all the creatures that were living in it. From mermaids to mythical creatures, that thought alone made him excited and it was definitely feeding his urge to discover what was under that lake. They boarded on the same boat and he was looking around astonished by the vastness of the lake till he heard a splash in the water and he turned around just to see the moon illuminating Emry's pale white skin and hair making them almost transparent. He was mesmerized by that and he couldn't take his eyes off of him. After minutes of paddling, they finally reached Hogwarts. The students started to disembark and gather at one place. Jonne got up and he got off the boat first before holding his arm out in order to help Emrys get off as well. "Take my hand and be careful." he said with a worried look on his face. As fascinated he was by the beauty of this lake, he was also very afraid of it and he feared that something bad may happen. Amatus was content to see that Jasper would smile at him and seem to have a nice time. Since they have become friends he promised himself that he wouldn't let anyone mess with his new friend not even Jasper's brother. Getting picked on by his brother was something he would hate to witness again therefore he would do anything in his power to prevent it. All he wanted to see was his friend happy and enjoying himself. After listening to him carefully, he understood everything regarding the houses. His first thought was that he didn't belong to Slytherin and that he was more of a Gryffindor material. He couldn't think of a reason why his parents would want him to join a house like Slytherin. Amatus noticed that Jasper didn't fully answered to his question, the part about which house he would like to be wasn't answered. He just let it go even though he hoped that they would end up at the same house, no matter which one it was. The train had fully stopped now and loud noises could be heard as the students were getting off the train. Amatus smiled back at Jasper and he followed him outside the cabin while holding his kitten firmly in his hand that was placed on his chest. Dante liked that spot and he never moved an inch. Maybe it was Amatus' heartbeat that kept the kitty calm and relaxed. After getting off the train, all he could see was people and more people and then boats! At the sight of the boats, he went pale and his eyes widened. Amatus had seasickness and boarding on a boat was a painful experience for him. He tried to keep his cool despite his condition. He didn't want to alarm Jasper or any other for that matter. They soon got on a boat and there was a man paddling to Hogwarts. Amatus felt his stomach spinning as if he was about to vomit. He tried to think of something pleasant in order to forget where he was but that was impossible. A few seconds later, he recalled what his mother had told him to do whenever he got seasick. He fixated his eyes on the horizon which at that time was showing Hogwarts. Trying to relax now, he heard Jasper commenting on how amazing Hogwarts was. To him, Hogwarts seemed like heaven since by looking at it, his nausea begun to slightly go away. "Yes." he faintly said without looking at anything else but the castle. After a while which to him felt like an eternity, they reached their destination and they were about to get off the boats. Amatus got up at once and he disembarked feeling lucky and blessed that he was stepping on the ground again. He still felt unwell though but he tried not to show it. He looked at Jasper and he stretched his hand out for him to help him get off. "Come." he said pretending that everything was fine but he still felt his stomach weird.
