Months after the earthquake its scars still painful vivid across Tokyo. Rubble piled up where buildings once stood, and you could see people on the streets with little to nothing sheltering them from the elements. A line of cars traversed across the city, seemingly not effected by the mess around them. People look at them with a mixture of fear and anger, as they know those cars belonged to the military, which in effect have taken over the country after the disaster.

Soon the cars arrived in front of a majestic building, a large sign saying “Ministry of War” clearly visible. The cars got passed the guards and stopped in front of the entrance. The doors opened and three men (Sasuke, Fuu, and Damon) accompanied by groups of uniformed soldiers emerged. The soldiers lead the three into the building, and all of the other workers and officers looked at the group with curiosity and suspicion. But as they saw the direction they were going they all understood why those civilians were there: another group of “special recruits” the colonel had called for.

The three were lead to an office on the second floor. It had no windows but there was enough light to brighten the place. The interior was quite spacious, book shelves covered one side of the wall while the opposite side had a massive map of Tokyo on it. On the opposite side of the entrance a man sat behind a large desk filled with piles of files and documents. Judging by the uniform he was high rank, but the air around him was unlike most officers who were either strict by the book or arrogant and commanding. The air around him was one of mystery, and of hidden dangers.

The man raised his head and observed the men in front of him with great curiosity and intrigue, as if looking at some rare animals in a zoo, especially when his gaze turned at Fuu. He looked the soldiers who accompanied the three men and immediately they saluted and left the room. He smiled at the three and said: “Sorry to arrange this meeting in such short notice. But we don’t have the leisure to waste time these days. I am colonel Kyogoku Nobuhiro (京極信廣), in charge of the more.....unnatural problems faced by the empire. You must be wandering why were you called here. The truth is, we need your help.”

Kyogoku stood up from the chair and walked around the desk. He came close to the three and continued: “As you know, Tokyo is still recovering from the earthquake, and much of the city is still in ruins. I admit there’s a lot of friction between the military government and the populace. But that’s the least of our concerns. Agitators and mobs are easy to deal with, but ghosts, spirits and demons, that’s another story.”

Kyogoku walked in front of the big map on the wall and pointed at several colored pins scattered across the city. “Each of these pins represents a supernatural incident and our men are doing their best to deal with them, but these are but symptoms of the true problem. The thing which caused the earthquake in the first place is still out there. Even our best psychics and onmyoujis can’t pin point the location of that thing, but we feel its influence. In fact its existence alone is stirring up shit in the spiritual realm causing more incidents! But we’re too occupied to even search the damn thing, and that’s where you guys come into the picture.”

Kyogoku walked back in front of the three men and said: “We’ve called you here because of your respective talents. Don’t ask me how did we learn about your talents we just did. Anyway, we need you to help us find that thing, whatever it is. I know you’re not exactly enthusiastic about risking your lives, but think of it as helping the people of Tokyo, and for all those souls who lost their lives in the earthquake still crying for retribution. Of course we’re prepared to offer you with substantial reward if you’re able to help us. Money, position in the government, or any other needs you wish to be fulfilled we can arrange. But if you refuse... Well frankly there’s nothing much we can do, just hope you don’t run into whatever that things is on your own.”

Kyogoku turned around and observed the expressions on the men and smiled: “So, are you guys up for it? And feel free to ask any questions.”

Its always here, in the feet reddening bath, at 3 in the morning, that Sasuke realises he is a simply inadequate human being. Scrubbing madly away at his body, the filth of being worthless sticking to the swirled skin at his fingertips and the cracks of his body. The young man watches his black hair snake along the bends of his limbs and he faintly wonders if he'll be prematurely bald before he hits 40.

He shouldn't have a name. He especially doesn't have one now, dripping in a wet porcelain coffin of his own making, sitting in this tub of loathing. Wishing he was smoking a cigarette right now but knowing it would only make him more piss in the pants frightened of the universe. Cancer is always ruining everything. He smokes anyways, because he is not a man that makes any sense. He cares but he also doesn't care enough. The eloquent struggle.

Sasuke was making tea when the soldiers knocked down his door. He didn't flinch or react like most people, he sensed their presence coming up to his house beforehand. Normal circumstances, the young man would have kicked them out of his house with ease. However something came over the boy; If the soldiers had the nerve to break in without knocking, it must be important. The raven rarely worked unless it was something S Rank.

Without breaking his mask, the boy mutely followed them out of his isolated house. Sliding into the sleek car, the young man sat silently against the window, not sparing a glance at the two other males in the car.

Following the soldiers down the beautiful building to the room that held the high ranking military officer. Sasuke listened quietly to the mans speech, keeping his eyes on the polished floor.

The raven didn't answer or react to the last question. An order is an order. Complaining would only cause more hassle that Sasuke didn't care enough about.

Running. That was all Fuu had ever known his whole life. He ran from his home first, not that it could ever be considered as one. His father, or perhaps the man that claimed to be was never in the house. If he was, he would always be too drunk to care about anything else. His mother? The crazy woman wasn't even worth mentioning. All in all, what he was born into wasn't a family, it wasn't a place anyone could call a home, it was just a place. Then he began his life on the streets, running from the authorities was what it mostly consisted of. Why, you ask? He stole, that's why. Fuu took anything he could get his hands on. Food, when he needed it and clothes when his own got too small. The first few times, he was always caught but he always got away. As he grew, he mastered the art of pick pocketing, that's when he started stealing money. Life got better even if he still didn't have a place to stay.

He knew what it was when he heard the footsteps come from behind him. Of course he knew, he heard them throughout his time on the streets, but they were always behind him. But this time, Fuu knew it was different, the footsteps weren't rushed and urgent. They came slowly with a constant rhythm, continuing even as Fuu turned to face them. His eyes travelled immediately to the rank on the men's uniforms, surveying them thoroughly. Yes, it was different this time, such high-ranking officials would not spend their time to capture a lowly street urchin such as himself.

This time, Fuu didn't run, he went with them silently for the first time. He didn't make a scene in the car, nor when they got out and made their way into the expertly designed structure. The soldiers stood both in-front and behind him, three in the front, three at the back as the made their way down the brightly lit but neverending hall way.

The soldiers finally stopped, they had arrived. The polished oak door opened and bright lights blinded him. Fuu entered and his eyes immediately focused on two other men who also had soldiers surrounding them.

He didn't know what was going on. It was just a suspicion but could it have something to do with that?

It wasn't as if he didn't want to be there. Nor was it the fact that he was all alone, by himself, with no one to turn to. That was not the problem at all, in fact he preferred it that way. No, it was for the very reason that for some unusual...calling that Fuu was even there, in Japan, in the first place. As if he'd been in a situation like this before, his body remembered, but his mind could not. And that's what bothered him the most. This disturbing sense of déjà vu, and yet not being quite able to put his finger on it exactly what he was experiencing again. No...just that all of this felt all too familiar...and he felt uncomfortable. Not knowing made him feel vulnerable.

Just as when the men who had come for him, walking right up to him in the middle of an empty street, acting as if they knew him. And when others were picked up, two men in fact, it all got even weirder. They drove through the city, heading to some place he didn't know, with men whom he knew nothing about, but still was sitting there in the back seat, as if this were totally normal. His blank face hid the fact that he was a bit frightened, unsure of what was going to happen when they were led down that fancy hallway, and then come to a stop in front of a rather high ranked looking man.

Fuuyo could feel the eyes of the man staring at him, and instead of looking back, he stares at his feet, hard, until he no longer felt the gaze upon him. Looking up, he listens to what he was told, the backstory of everything that has happened lately, and finally, the reason why they were there, why the three of them had been brought to this place. It was for a spiritual mission, a darkness had crept into Tokyo, and they were there, so it seemed, to find and exterminate that darkness. He had to agree with the fact that he didn't want to risk his life for a country that treated him like an outsider, for the fact he was not fully Japanese. No, he was Korean, Chinese, and Japanese, and had moved to this country from Korea. But the offer that was given after...he could make good use of that. Maybe have his name erased from police records, take a bit of that money, who knows?

Then, they were asked if they had any questions. By that point Fuu's confidence had returned, and he steps forward. "Yes, I have just one. Why us? Or should I say, what about us made you want to choose us for this particular task?" He points at the tall white haired male dressed in a foreign soldier outfit, red eyes and pale skin. Something about him gave Fuu the chills...he just wasn't normal. "Why him? He looks rather unusual, wouldn't you say? There is something about him that's off, I don't know yet, but I will find out...Would you really want to trust something like this to someone like him? A dangerous looking foreigner? And that guy..." He points to the frail looking male. "Doesn't he look a bit puny? I'm not trying to be a downer here...or push limits, but why? Why us? And me, you probably know barely anything about me. So what makes you think you can trust me....huh? I barely even know myself these days..."

He stares at the man in front of them, ignoring any looks that he might be getting at that point. He wanted answers, and he'd be getting them...one way or another.

It had started out as what seemed would be what had become a normal day for the European and British solider, Damon Blut Tod. The tall, white haired, red eyed male had returned to the inn in which he'd been staying at early that morning, having been out late into the night, with nothing but the shadows that surrounded him for company, not a single soul bothering him should he happen to pass by another person. Even the animals seemed to have the tendency to skirt past him and avoid any contact, but in all honesty, Damon didn't mind this one bit.

After retiring to his room, he'd taken a quick bath, washing off the grime of the night, relaxing his muscles with the heat of the water, readying himself for a nice long rest. It had been quite some time since he'd been able to get a good and healthy rest, and was quite looking forward to the softness of the bed, pillow, and sheets. He'd gone to lay down, with nothing on his mind, and had just started to doze off, the rays of the sun that was rising just beginning to slip through the tiny cracks of the blinds that were drawn shut, when he'd been reawakened, by the sound of a knock on the door to the room he was staying in.

He'd sat up quickly, eyes narrow, suspicion running through his veins, but after a moment or so, he'd opened it, only to be revealed to a group of men, who told him to come with them. It was still fairly dark outside, and the sun was only just coming up, so he didn't make a fuss about going. Instead, he'd quickly gotten dressed, and left the inn with the men, not questioning his decision, knowing that if it ended up being something bad, that he could easily take them all out without even trying, or breaking a sweat.

After that he'd been escorted to a car, where he sat in the back, next to another male, who seemed to not want to be there, and his outfit was rather exotic, despite himself being in Japan. From what he could see, the clothing that this one wore had a different feel to it, as if it were Asian, but of another countries make. He looks away, and sat quietly as they drove, and eventually picks up a third person, who was just as quiet as the first male. All this led to them being driven through town, to a large building, which they were led in to, and down a rather extravagant hallway.

And now, here they were, being told as to why all three of them had been gathered. Tokyo indeed was in crisis, and maybe the other two had some special powers or whatnot, but as to why he himself was there, was another question entirely. Did this man, Kyogoku Nobuhiro as it were, even know what he, Damon Blut Tod, was? If he did, then why had he brought him here? If he didn't then what was the reason? He didn't have any particular spiritual powers to speak of, and if he did, he knew nothing about them. Despite this though, he remains silent, but that silence was broken by the strangely dressed Asian male, who'd taken a step forward, and began questioning to why they were here.

Damon was surprised, though it didn't show on his face, when he was pointed out, and talked about rather bluntly, the only expression showing were his brows furrowing slightly. Despite not knowing the language around him that well, he could understand it fairly enough to pick out what was being said, and he didn't like how he was being spoke of. He could admit that he was rather dangerous looking, and if someone was careful, yes, they should think of him as suspicious. But the Asian being able to tell that there was something off about him...could this one tell that he was indeed different?

Then the Asian talks about the other male, and then about himself. That was rather strange, the words he said. Not knowing himself. Just who was this person? Though, all in all, Damon had to agree that this person had a point. A blank face and no emotion showing whatsoever, Damon then steps forward as well. He tilts his hat slightly in respect to Kyogoku's rank, before speaking, trying his best to keep any foul language out of play, and pronouncing the words properly, so he wouldn't sound the complete fool.

"I would like to know as well. I, for one, do not know of myself having any particular specialties in which you could use. So indeed, why did you choose me? Do you know of my background? You seem to be quite the smart man. So if you do know who I am...why did you bring me here?"

He looks straight on at Kyogoku, hands behind his back, spine straight, as if he were addressing his own army commander. Damon wanted to figure this out, and hoped that he was right in his judgement of this man. That he was indeed smart, and if he had known of what Damon was...would keep that to himself. It wasn't a secret that Damon handed out easily or lightly, and another thing was if this man knew, he wondered how the man had found out of it in the first place.

Kase awoke to light shinning into his face as the sun rose, the light shinning from the small window in the room his family let him stay in.

Kase had flown to Japan about 2 months ago, planing to go this year anyway. Unlike other people the earthquake didn't sway him. It made him want to go more....He had become worried about his family, though he had never met his family from Japan he was always told about them from his mother.

Kase's and his family wasn't rich, all the money he had went to the flight to Japan, his family now let him stay there free of rent as long as he had gotten a job. Kase grew up in a middle class family, his dad a police officer and his mother a Japanese langue teacher. Though neither made a lot since Kase was born they had put money away every month, that they could afford at the time wether it be 1$ of 100$ that month and well it started to add up. All for his trip to see his family across the globe. It really started to add up once Kase got a job at 12 and worked 4 times a week, putting all of it to his fund.

That being said once he got to Japan after spending his fund on the flight had around 20$ in his pocket, to exchange for Yen. As of now laying in his families futon he had 100 Yen to his name or 10 dollars.

But Kase was happy, he finally gotten to meet his mothers parents, his mother's sister and her husband and children. That al he cared about was that they were all safe, because they were right outside the city.

Getting up he groaned, grabbing his head.

"Time to get ready for work and breakfast" He sighed to himself.

He had gotten a job in the city after about 3 weeks in Japan, it was at one of the only Cafe's still open and running right now. Everyday he would bike into the city a 5 mile ride go to work and then comeback having spent the money he earned on supplies for dinner.

Getting up he ruffled his hair and changed into a black pair of slacks sneakers and a white button up. Walking out of his tiny room he used. Going into the kitchen.

"Ohayou gozaimasu" He yawned at his grandmother and 2 little cousins who were helping making breakfast.

"Good morning Kase" The little girls squealed. His grandmother just nodding and handing him a plate of eggs.

Sitting down Kase eat the eggs fairly fast cause he knew he had to make it to work and also he was majorly hunger. Standing up he hugged his family and quickly said goodbye.

Running to his bike and hopping on it making the 5 mile journey that he was already use too. Soon getting to his work place and put his apron on ready to work and serve at the cafe with a smile. He was just happy to be there.

“The reason for choosing you three? Because the fortune tellers said so of course!” Kyogoku paused for a second seeing the reaction from the three and chuckled: “Just kidding. As I said before our resources were spread very thin, and we need all the help we can get to find this thing. But it doesn’t mean we just pulled random people off the street for the mission. We’ve done our research.”

Kyogoku walked back to his desk and picked up a pile of document and began to read from it: “Sasuke Kiyomisu, member of the the special investigation force of the police and have worked on various nasty cases in the past. Fuuyo, exorcist for hire. The report said the spells you use don’t belong to any conventional schools or styles, but apparently was very powerful. We’ve actually managed to get a hold of several of your previous customers and they’ve said good things about your work, less of your attitude though.”

He then looked up and turned his gaze to Damon: “And last but not least, Damon Blut Tod. We’ve kept an eye on you ever since you step foot on Japanese soil. I mean when a foreign army officer arrive on our shores you can’t expect us not to be curious. So we did some background research on you, pulled some strings, used quite a lot of our connections in Europe and finally got a better picture on who you are. We believe your experience in combat could prove useful in this mission, and since we don’t know exactly what we’re dealing with, we thought it’s best to include some western perspective just in case that thing was of western origin. And just so you know, yes, we’re aware of your....health condition, and we’re willing to provide the ‘medication’ you need during your stay in our country. ”

Kyogoku put down the file and looked at the three: “So, did that answer your questions? I assume you guys are on board? I know it’s a big decision but we’re running out of time.” Kyogoku pressed a button of the intercom on his desk, and immediately a voice came from it:

“What can I do for you sir?”

“Would you please tell the Lieutenant to come inside?” Kyogoku said to the intercom.

“Right away sir.” the one from the other side replied.

And seconds later someone knocked on the door and Kyogoku let him in. A man dressed in uniforms came into the room and saluted: “ Lieutenant Monobe Mikoto.(物部 尊)reporting for duty, sir!”

50116520_p0.jpg

“At ease.” Kyogoku said casually and Monobe put down his hand. Kyogoku turned to the three and said: “Lieutenant Monobe here would the liaison between you and the army. Just go to any police station, listening posts or barracks in the city and ask for him and he will be there. If you came by any valuable information or need anything along the way, he’d be the person you want to talk to. And that’s about it. Monobe would answer any other questions you may have.” Kyogoku went back to his seat and began to look at the files on the table, signaling their conversation was over.

“This way please.” Monobe said as he gestured the three men to follow him out of the office.

..............................................................

Meanwhile in another region of Tokyo, the streets were more tidy and cleaned up compare to the rest of the city. Being the area where most of the foreign embassy and dignitaries lived the area was among the first areas the military focused their reconstruction efforts on. While many foreigners fled the country immediately after the earthquake the military’s efforts convinced many to stay, and indeed many shops and businesses owned by westerners reopened soon after, the cafe Kaze worked at included.

Just about the time when Kaze put on his apron and got to his post a man opened the cafe door, a waitress instinctively put on a cordial smile and said ‘welcome’ in Japanese, and when she saw the customer she smiled from her heart, and greeted the man in English: “Good morning father Francis!”

The priest is one of the most notable foreigners living in Tokyo. His church started off small, with only a couple of friars at his side and with little backing. But soon he built up a reputation for great kindness and generosity towards all people regardless of their race, even faith. His tireless work to help rally support for those struck by the earthquake brought him great respect among both foreigners and Japanese.

“Good morning child.” the priest smiled gently as he waked in. The waitress got close to him and asked: “Here for breakfast?”

“No, I’m just passing by on my morning walks, and figure I should come in and say hi.” He the noticed Kaze and walked towards him: “You must be Kaze, the one from America right? I’m father Francis. Are you adjusting well to Japan?”

Sasuke didn't mind being called puny. It was sickly exciting to be exact. The fact people judge him on how he looks made him more laugh than did cry. He hoped to Kami that this would be over soon and he could go back to being a hermit. Judging by the looks from the Korean and German blooded teammates, underestimating him was an understatement. Instead on replying or asking any questions at all, the stoic boy continued to bore holes into Kyogoku's skull with dead eyes. He didn't particularly care about why he was chosen. It is what it is. Sighing mutely at the other two's irritating questions, the silent boy continued to not utter a word.

Uninterested with the conversation at hand, he used this time to focus on the people around him. Sasuke had no interest in getting to know what they dream about and shit. He merely pondered on how much he would have charged them for half an hour. 4 Kobundō's at the minimum. Smiling inside his consistent mask, 600 shillings for the westerner. If he was in the same mind stability as he used to be, he would have jumped on all of them. Realising he was thinking too much, Sasuke drew himself back to reality, mutely following the higher rank.

Listening to the answer that was given to the inquisitions that were asked of this man, Fuuyo falls silent. So, he'd done work for other people? And, according to what he was being told, the customers he'd had spoke quite highly of him, though apparently even for them his attitude could use a bit of a fixer upper. He didn't remember any of this, but says nothing, not wanting any of the other people around them to know of this problem, that he, Fuuyo, could not remember ever working for anyone, or doing anything for others. He knew he had power, of course, how could he not? But using that power to help anybody else was another question entirely.

His eyes flicker over to the white haired male, who was being spoken to now, and they narrow at what was being said. Condition? Medication? Who exactly was this guy, or should he say, what? However, he wasn't given much time to think on it as they were all spoken to as a group once more. A simple shrug was given as an answer, he didn't care one way or another if he worked for this guy, as long as he got something out of it. Another man was brought in to the room, and in seconds they were being led out of that room, and to somewhere else, where he didn't know. Glancing from side to side, from the white haired person to the scrawny one, he frowns. Even though he had been told what was going on, something didn't seem quite right. For some reason...this felt all too familiar. Why?

"Um, excuse me? Monobe was it? Where are you taking us now? If I might ask..." Fuuyo was slowly starting to get irritated, as was his personality, because normally he didn't talk this much to other people, or have this amount of interaction with anybody else. For the most part, he liked to stick to himself, or at least that was what he felt like anyways.

So, they had indeed done their research, and hadn't just brought them all here on a whim, blindly letting fate decide how things might or might not happen. Apparently in these men's eyes, all three of them had their uses, some more than others, but it was all the same. He could feel the eyes of the Asian man upon him, that gaze practically boring a hole into his soul, as if trying to figure out who he was. A slight nod of the head towards Kyogoku, in acknowledgement and agreement to the terms of what was to take place. Even though he wondered where they had found such information about his background and to what he was, he does not question them any further.

"Yes, that would be quite...helpful indeed. I will help you, only on the condition that you not tell anyone about this, and you uphold your end and do as you said you would."

With this, he falls silent, and after being dismissed, follows after the man who had appeared, not once glancing backwards, only keeping his gaze set ahead of himself. He was walking aside the one whom was apparently known as 'Sasuke', and for a mere second he felt eyes upon him once more. Glancing over at the other from the corner of his eye, his face blank as ever, he spares the smaller male a second before looking ahead once more, his stride as he walked like a light march, back straight, shoulders held proudly, everything align, perfect.

Once more the one called Fuuyo speaks up, asking the man they were following where they were going. Damon had to agree that he would like to know where it was they were headed, as he was quite tired and would like to get some rest. Considering he'd been called out here without a moments notice, not to mention right as he'd been getting ready to go to 'sleep'. Though he seemed quite alert and aware of what was going on around him, he could tell that he was not at one hundred percent. His body felt as if it were lagging, slow, muggy, almost like walking waist deep in mud. And, if one looked close enough, they could see, just faintly, bags underneath his eyes, or rather, his one visible eye and the eye patch covering his other.

As they walked, he fought back a yawn, though couldn't help it, and hastily covered his mouth with his glove covered hand. How long was this hallway? It seemed as if they had been walking for quite some time now. Or maybe it was the fact that he was exhausted, and time moved slowly when he was like this. Either way, it was starting to get a bit irksome, and he just wanted to lay down and shut his eyes, even for a couple of hours, if that was all he could get. However, he keeps quiet, hand once more by his side. They would get where they were going, eventually at least. He just had to be patient.

Kase Put on his apron and said hello to his co workers. It was weird of him to be in such a tourist area when he is living in such a local area right now.

He bowed and said 'hello' in Japanese to the man who walked in. He had seen him around the town but never officially met him. He was a foreigner too. So when the other spoke in english it didn't surprise him but was a bit weird taking how it had been so long since he had a complete conversation with someone in his native langue.

Looking at the man more closely and taking the fact his co-worker called him 'father' he figured the man was a local priest.

When the other turned to him he bowed to show his respects and answered the other.

"Yes, sir, Japan is a lovely place and I have a fairly big family here. It is wonderful to finally meet them." He smiled.

"May I offer you anything of course seeing you are a priest it would be on the house?" He went to grab the other a menu, coming back he asked the other some more questions.

"Where are you from father....Francis was it?" He asked he was now interested by the other.

“To our office.” Monobe said in a cold voice. He lead the three down the hallway and soon arrived in front of a door with the sign “section 10” on it. He opened the door and inside was complete chaos, with many people in uniforms rushing across busily, people working on files behind the desks, and others shouting into telephones. Piles of files, office supplies, as well as guns and magazines, laid side by side with charms and spells, statue of deities, books, crosses, swords and so on.

“My apologies for the whole mess but we’re in the process of moving from our old office underground. It was devastated by the earthquake.” Monobe said as he picked up several packages and handed to the three, and continued: “Each package contain your ID card identifying you as operatives of the military, a map of Tokyo, some cash, a first-aid kid, and a radio which you can communicate with each other and us. There’s also a list of all the supernatural incidents happened shortly before the earthquake until now. And that’s all for now. You could leave anytime you please.”

After the explanation was finished Monobe sighed slightly. And before the three can leave he said: “I don’t know what reward the colonel had promised you but be careful. If you think you’re in danger just use the radio and contact us. There’s no point in risking your lives, that’s our job.”

Meanwhile in the cafe, father Francis was having a chat with Kaze. He waved his head slightly to his offer and said: “That’s very kind of you, but I’m just passing by and...” Kaze ran off to get the menu before he could refuse. “Yes, father Francis here at your service”

When he was handed the menu Francis wasn’t sure what to do. At first he wanted to refuse Kaze more firmly but seeing the expression on Kaze’s face he backed down, smiling a little apologetically and said: “Well... A cup of coffee then. Oh and I’m an American just like you. But I’ve traveled around the world since I came to the service of our lord.”

Sasuke obliged to follow. He didn't ask where they were heading; his interest was at an all time low. However, as the mute boy stepped into the pandemonium filled room, sudden urges flowed through him. Feeling a cold sweat creep up as his eyes helplessly took the whole picture of the room in. Gulping silently several times before the young boy tried to calm down, taking shallow breaths. Biting the section between his thump and index finger, an abnormal and erratic habit he picked up over time.

Finally his eyes where fixated on a pile of documents, spread out on the floor in a disarrayed order. Dropping to his knees silently, the boy blocked out the young soldiers words and briskly grasped the pieces of paper. Scanning them, not caring for the information; more for the categorical order the pile could be placed into, before setting off organising and piling the once fallen tower.

Continuing to block out all sound waves around him, Sasuke let out a short breath as his shaking fingers drew to a halt. Smoothing out the sides, the ravenette carefully picked up the stack and placed it onto the near by moderately messy desk. Returning back to the irregular bitting in the thenar space on his hand, eyes darting to look at something else that wouldn't trigger his mental instability and break his mask again. His eyes finally set onto the Germans polished military boots next to his. Breathing out silently, Sasuke's bitting halted. However this didn't stop him from making sure he was the first out the door.

After being told where they were going, Fuuyo falls silent, no longer feeling the need to ask any more questions. He got the information he needed, and that was all that mattered at that moment. The pandemonium in the basement office was quite the sight to see, how unorganized and yet at the same time everything seemed to have it's own place. Where it all belonged. His eyes followed the movements of the people who were doing their jobs, and mutely accepted the fact that this was actually happening. Why though, he could only guess. But for now, he was just going to go along with it, and do as he was asked. There was no reason for him to argue, so why do so?

He silently accepts the package that was handed to him, taking note of what was inside, nodding his head. This was all getting rather interesting, and though a 'radio' was mentioned within it, he knew that he doubted that he would ever use it. Why would he want to contact these complete strangers for help? It wasn't his style, and that was that. Hearing that he could leave when he wanted, he turns to go, but his attention was held by the one whom was called Sasuke doing something rather strange. The guy randomly started placing papers in a stack, almost in an ocd fashion, making him raise an eyebrow, a degrading look in his eye as he watched. Such a weirdo... Shaking his head softly, he loses interest, and walks away, not bothering with a farewell, and takes his leave.

Fuu easily finds his way out, and once exited the building quickly walks away, not once glancing back, hands clutching the package. He sighs in irritation, before slipping it into the small bag he carried with him. This whole situation was a mess, and he didn't like it at all. Not one bit. Quick footsteps carried him further and further away, and in little to no time at all he was within another section of Tokyo altogether, heading towards a business district. He hadn't eaten at all for a while, and was quite hungry now, so decided to get something to eat. Eyeing a cafe, he decides to go inside.

Without waiting, he sits down at one of the seats, placing his bag on the empty seat next to him, though does not remove the katana that was hid beneath the folds of the clothing he was wearing. It would just cause an uproar. No doubt he'd probably be followed again, but he didn't care. Looking around, he noticed a priest and a worker talking, but does not care about the conversation they were having. He was only there to get something to eat...

They were indeed in an office, from the appearance of desks, paper, telephones, and people rushing around; there were individuals sorting and filing documents, while many others were answering phone calls. But, from what Damon could see, it was no ordinary office space, as in certain places he saw many different types of fire arms, and the corresponding magazines that went with them. This place was meant for war, and that was to be respected. Here, Damon felt somewhat relaxed, as he once had to deal with this on a daily basis, back in his home country. However, as relaxed as he was, he didn't let his guard down, not once.

Reaching out and accepting the package that held the things that were described, Damon nodded his thanks, having gone quiet since meeting Kyogoku, as he no longer had anything else to say, or ask, of the people who were here. They were all then told that they were allowed to leave when they wished, and Fuuyo, as he remembered, quickly took that to heart, only pausing to watch as Sasuke did something rather odd. But once that was over, the Korean swiftly left them behind, disappearing through the door, and was gone before anything else could be said. Such a outward person, and rather blunt if he should say so.

Even as much as he wanted to leave, and go rest, he was most certain that the sun was up now, and that definitely was no good at all. Damon knew that he could handle it, but it would make him feel nauseated, and weak. And that was something he did not appreciate feeling in the least. So, looking to the officer who was named Monobe, he speaks up, addressing the matter in a casual way, not wanting to make the situation seem obvious.

"Might there be a way that I could get back to my inn that is covered by shade? I do not mind walking, I just don't...want to have to deal with the sun."

Glancing once more at Sasuke, wondering if the individual was paying attention, he focuses on Monobe. If there was no way, he would just tough it out and deal with it, something that he had done for most of his life. Usually he didn't ask for such favors, it was not his thing, and he hated having to speak of his 'condition' so freely. He didn't know if he could keep his eyes open for much longer, as he calculated quickly in his mind as he waited for an answer, he was most certain that he'd been awake for at least seventy hours now, with little to no rest. It wasn't that he wanted that, it was only he felt insecure and unsafe in a place he knew little to nothing about.

And, if the answer was no, he might be tempted to ask this Sasuke for company, though even that much he doubted he would get the nerves to say or ask. It seemed that the small male wanted nothing to do with them, from his silence to his constant avert eyes, not looking at them at all. He'd seen the direction of where the other had been looking after straightening the papers, right at his shoes, and he was placing the pieces together. That was a habit of his, when told to work with others. Trying to figure out their habits, what they were like. But right now, being as tired as he was, it was a bit...taxing.

Kase like the other man him seemed to Kase as someone that would help anyone out if they were in need of it. Kase respected people like that. Growing up in America it seemed hard to find people like that, it seem so many people just worried about themselves.

Kase quickly gotten the cup and filled it, leave milk and sugar on the side for the priest to do what he liked with his coffee. Kase was interested what brought the man to Japan.

"What part of America?" He asked. "I myself am from right outside of New York city. "

He smiled, Kase always wanted to seem friendly, to have people feel comfortable around him. He wanted people to be happy.

Though Kase was not religious, but he respected those who were, he personally just didn't know what to believe.

"What brought you to Japan, to serve god?" He wondered how the other became the way he was and traveled so much.

"Understood. I'll arrange a vehicle to send you back to your hotel." Monobe answered to Damon's request and picked up the phone on the nearby table and dialed into it. He walked to the solider on the other end and hang up the phone shortly after: "A car would be at the door momentarily."

After Monobe had sent Damon off he returned to Kyogoku's office, and entered once he got the permission to do so. He saluted and said: "Colonel Kyogoku, I've distributed the package to the three recruits, and they have left separately."

"Seperately?....Well, I didn't expect them to work as a team from the beginning. But soon they'll have to." Kyogoku smiled as he looked at the large map of Tokyo on the wall. He turned his gaze and Monobe and asked: "You seemed troubled. Is there a problem?'

Monobe hesitated for a moment, but finally he made up his mind and asked: "Permission to speak freely, sir?"

"Permission granted." Kyogoku said casually.

"I think those three people were ill-suited for this assignment."

"And why is that?"

"........ Kiyomisu was the safest choice among the three since he belongs to the police force, but the report from his superior clearly states his mental state was unstable. And the rest of them are simply........ ilogical! One of them is a outlaw and the other one is not even..."

"Monobe." Kyogoku interrupted Monobe's speech with a firm voice.

"Yes sir?"

"I understand your concern, but this is not your decision to make."

"Yes sir."

"Anything else?"

"No sir."

"Then dismiss." Kyogoku turned around his chair with the back facing Monobe. Monobe saluted before walking out of the room. He went over all he knew about the case as well as the three recruits, and was still confused. There must be some information the colonel was keeping from him, but then, he was a soldier, and it's his duties to follow orders even when he disagreed with them. He sighed slightly and began to walk back to the office.

-----------------------------------

In the cafe father Francis was chatting with Kaze. He smiled as he answered the young man’s question: “Well, after I joined the church I had the privilege to travel all across the globe to help those people in need. South America, Africa, middle east, southeast Asia, and finally here in Japan. I was planning to return to the states a few months ago but, the earthquake changed my plans and I decided to stay. This country needs the guidance of our lord right now.”

Just about tha time the cafe door was opened and Fuyoo walked in. The waitress greeted the Fuuyo when he entered the door, and went by his side when he sat down. “Here’s our menu sir. Today we have our specialty pancake breakfast set! It comes with coffee or tea! You should really try it out!”

It was also about the time it gets busy in the morning, and a few men entered the cafe a few steps after Fuuyo, and more followed. Some of them recognized the father and greeted him, and he responded in kind. Seeing the crowd slowly but surely gathering Francis smiled to Kaze and said: “I shall take my leave now, thanks for the coffee. Oh, and....” He took out a brochure with the writing “Come and pray toghether for the future of this country”, and the adress of the church in various languages includeing Japanses, English, Portugese and German. He handed the brochure and smiled to Kaze “Please come and visit anytime.” Then he began to walk towards the exit. As he passed by the table Fuuyo was sitting at he handed him one of the brochure as well and smiled at him saying: “You too, feel free to come if you need any assistant. And also, be careful this time.”

Then Francis walked out of the door, and soon vanished into the busy crowd.

Sasuke didn't really want to stay any longer than he had to. The room was getting under his skin and he needed to get out fast. Giving the albino one last glance before briskly exiting the room. As he kept track of where he came in, the young man left the building with ease. Breathing in the fresh air silently, the boys mind wandered yet again. It wasn't as if he didn't want to work with the others. It's just he could highly tell that both of them wanted nothing to do with him. The average person would have been offended; however Sasuke had dealt with people not wanting to be with him all his life. His broken attitude, steal mask and stitched up lips seemed to repel more than it did attract.

Biting his lip harshly, the small boy stood outside the building silently; liking the way the rain poured mercilessly on him. He watched mutely as a black car arrived, waiting for one of his supposed teammates. Seeing a head of white, Sasuke's body moved in its own as he soundlessly stalked over to the tall man. Blinking away raindrops on his lashes, the boy stood patiently a couple of meters away; understanding that he would want to not be close to him. Keeping his mask solid, the young boy called out to him to hopefully recive his attention. " ..... Damon-kun ... " Sasuke stared blankly at him, speaking in fluent English. "I wanted to ask you a question ... " Not blinking he continued, "I understand if you do not wish to answer; I shall not press any further for it." The fragile looking boy finished. "What do you eat?"

He only glances up when the waitress comes over to him, picking up the menu as it was sat down on the table that he was sitting at. Fuu just shakes his head when he was offered the special, not really interested in it at that particular moment, and waits for her to move away before picking up the menu and looking it over, while keeping an eye on the priest that was in there as well. Something about him seemed familiar, but what? What was it that nudged at his memory, as if trying to shake free something, and yet not being able to. It was frustrating, very, VERY frustrating.

Then, the man came over to him, and he acted as if he were reading the words on the paper, surprised when he was handed a pamphlet. But what shocked him the most were the words that were said to him by the priest, his eyes widen and he stares ahead, not moving, as if frozen. He then suddenly jumps up, at the same time speaking loudly. "Wait, what do you mean 'be careful this time'?!?" He looks around, and sees that the priest was no longer in the building. He looks intently at the door, his heart pounding in his chest, and a single drop of sweat sliding down the side of his face. Just what was going on? Who was that guy?

Glancing around, he saw that his outburst had gained the attention of quite a few people in the place, and they were staring at him rather suspiciously, and he awkwardly sits back down, biting his bottom lip. Picking up the menu again, his eyes drift to the pamphlet, his mind working overdrive. He'd definitely go and look in to that place...he needed answers. Why did this feel familiar? What was this fuzzy feeling in his head? How did that priest know him? And so many more questions. He couldn't help but feel this had happened before, was it in a dream?

Sighing softly, he decides what he wanted to have, and waits for someone to come and take his order. After that whole thing, he definitely needed something to eat.

A nod, and a half salute, Damon leaves the office space and heads down the hallway, going to where he was told a car would be waiting. He was quite relieved that this was being allowed to happen, even though he knew he could endure with walking, he just didn't think he would have been up to the task, considering how exhausted he was at that very moment in time. His footsteps echo around him, bouncing off the walls to bombard his ears, making them ring, as his hearing was heightened, due to what he was was. This hallway seemed to be a lot longer than he recalled, but eventually he makes it to the door, which he steps out of, and sure enough daylight had arrived.

Even though the sun was out, it was raining. Odd... He looks up at the sky, feeling the rain drops upon his skin, enjoying the cool water that splattered upon his cheeks. His eyes catch something, and he lowers his face, seeing that the car that was to take him to the inn was here. He begins to walk over to it, when his attention was caught by something else, it was the individual Sasuke was coming towards him, moving like a cat stalking it's prey. Only when he was called out to does he realize that the other indeed wanted to speak with him. He stops in his footsteps, silently standing there, wondering what the smaller male wanted. A question? He looks straight at the other, red eyes almost glowing in the half light created between the sun and the rain.

"Ja? What is it?"

Sasuke goes on to continued, saying that he need not answer if he did not wish to do so. Hearing the question, he remained there, his face unreadable, as he simply gazed at the other male. It was impossible to guess just what Damon was thinking. For a moment he was silent, before speaking up, his expression changing to the most smallest of smiles, it was nearly invisible, and a certain glint in his eyes appeared; at the same time his glove covered hand was reaching out to the handle of the car door, and opening it.

"What do I eat? Why, food of course..."

He slips in to the vehicle, but does not close the door. Instead, he looks over at Sasuke, pondering something it seemed. This was starting to be quite the interesting time here, and there were quite a few intelligent individuals among them. Damon wouldn't be surprised if some time during his stay in Japan that at least one of them would figure out just what he was, and he'd have to uproot himself, and leave. Just like the last place he'd been. It was always the same. For individuals like himself, he truly had no home, he was always on the move. That, in itself, was something he truly disliked. For once he would just like to stay in a place, and not have to worry. He thinks over his options, and after a few more minutes go by, he makes up his mind. Looking straight at Sasuke, he opens the door wider, as if inviting him in.

"Speaking of eating...Sasuke...would you care to come with me? I'm sure you'd like to get out of the rain, and the small restaurant connected to the inn in which I'm staying has quite the menu..."

His eyes glow a bit brighter for a split second, before returning to how they'd been seconds before. He'd been close to just compelling Sasuke to come with, but changed his mind after a second, deciding to let the human choose for himself whether or not if he wanted to join him, Damon, to go eat or not. He had come to Japan to escape, not only from his past home, but from himself. So, for the most part, he was trying to not rely on those things that came with the whole 'package' of being what and who he was. Looking to Sasuke, he waits, wondering what the male would choose. Would he choose to come with, or would he decline the offer?

Kase had enjoyed talking to the priest. He bowed and said thank you to the man shoving the pamphlet into his pocket quickly so he could attend to the guest. He really wasn't religious nor believed in god but he liked the man, as a person, so he thought he might stop by if he ever need help or someone to talk to.

Looking up at the man who had made the out burst about the priest he sighed and told the other woman with him that he would take the mans order, because he didn't want her to be yelled at in case something were to happen.

He walked over with a smile and bowed to the customer.

"Hello Sir would you like something to eat or drink?" He asked calmly. "Also I will be your sever today my name is Kase."

He looked gentle at the man worried in his mind that the man would yell at him.

"Also if you have any question feel free to ask me."

Yoshiwara, the infamous red light district of Tokyo was now nothing but a pile of burnt wood and rubble, and occasionally one could find charred body parts sticking out. The place was silent ever since the earthquake and except the countless vermin and swarming insects there was no sign of life anywhere. But today the silence was broken by the sound two men struggling through the ruins, looking under their feet, flipping over wood chunks and bricks searching.

"You sure this is a good idea bro?" One of the men said, clearly disgusted by the bodies scattered around the place.

"Of course dude! Just think of it, all those rich bastards who came here for fun that night and died, with all of their wallets and gold jewelries buried with them! We could make a fortune!" the other man said.

"I don't know bro... robbing from the dead feels so wrong... what if their ghosts appear to haunt us?" the man asked worriedly.

"Dude, it's fucking day time! There ain't no ghosts....."Suddenly a deep rumble came from somewhere deep down under the ruins and the two men stumbled. Vermin and insects flooded out of the place forming countless black tides out of Yoshiwara. Before the two men could get up there was another rumble, and another, almost as if a giant heart began to beat and its vibration was causing the earth to tremble. And as sudden the rumble began it stopped, and the next moment something emerged from the ground, pushing away a large fallen wall to the side.

The two men got up and looked around trying to figure out what was going on, then they saw someone standing there, all naked, his long black hair waving in the wind. The two men looked at each other in confusion and finally one of them approached the naked man asking: "Ah.... hey... you there.. you alright?"

The man with long black hair slowly turned to look at the two with a blank expression. He tilted his head to the side and suddenly a dark mist began to surround the mysterious man, growing larger and larger and forming a humanoid silhouette. The two men cried out in fear and began to run, but the dark mist extended its "hands" and slammed the two men into the ground, killing them instantly.

The dark mist disappeared and almost at the same time clouds began to gather. As the rain fell the mysterious man began to walk, his movement was unnatural, almost like he was a puppet and an invisible hand was pulling the strings. One step after another he walked out of the ruins of Yoshiwara and disappeared into the alleys of Tokyo.

Blinking slowly, the young mans facial expression did not waver as his dead grey eyes bored into the crimson ones. Feeling the rain start to creep into the collar of his top, Sasuke pondered for a while whether or not to comply. Considering the answer the albino gave him, it was obvious that he did not understand the concept of his question. It wasn't that Sasuke wanted to get closer to the man, it was more the fact that he was intrigued. Dangerous as that may be, the young man wasn't going to let it stop him. Staring blankly at the seat next to the latter, Sasuke continued to think. Concluding that he would start collecting data after the meal, the young boy gracefully entered the car.

Sitting silently next to the albino, Sasuke used his time to stare at the latter. Biting the inside of his tongue, the pretty boy started to think about to continue his question. Looking outside of the black-out windows, Sasuke watched the outside go past him in a blur.

" ... I have to admit I'm surprised ... I didn't think you where able to eat ordinary food."

Looking back at the much larger man, he continued to keep his metal mask up; not sure what his answer would be.

A different person than the female waitress who had come up to him before approaches, this time it was a male. They speak to him, greeting and asking him if he would like something to eat or drink. That was such a pointless question, of course he was there to eat. Why else would he be there? To just sit a table? Fuuyo thought not, but didn't bother speaking up and saying all of this out loud. Instead, he just nods, taking note of the name that was given to him by the waiter. He doubted it would matter that he needed to know his name, but that was just how things were.

His voice was attempting to stay at a calm and decent level despite what had just happened, and when he answers it cracks at first, before he coughs and continues. "Uh, An nyoung, I would just like a glass of water and Shoyu broth ramen with miso grilled pork, shitake, menma, and choy. And some sticky rice. That is all." He then hands this 'Kase' person the menu, dismissing the other with a silent look, before gazing elsewhere. His eyes shift to the window, all the past events and everything that was happening even now were being stored away in his mind, replacing the memories he was sure that had just disappeared, somehow being wiped away like a marking in the sand when the sea comes up for the tide.

Suddenly, the back of his neck tingled, and the hair there rose as he felt something. Wrong. As if a sudden stirring had taken place. A deep frown formed on his lips as the sensation he was getting was that of maliciousness and pure evil intent. He was getting a bad feeling about this, and a sickening taste began to form in his mouth. What...the hell was going on? Was something moving? At this time? It felt that way, and from the look of the obliviousness on the people's faces around them, it was something that was not of this particular 'world'. Spiritual. Demonic. Dangerous. However, since he didn't know where it was coming from, as it was sort of hazy where the location was, he didn't want to just run after it, and end up getting hurt.

So, instead, he decided to send a message. Glancing at the bag with the radio, he shakes his head. No, that wasn't the right choice. Instead, he picks out a small piece of parchment, a small brush, and a tiny bottle of ink, writing a message down. When he'd finished, he folds the paper in to an intricate origami crane, places it in his palm. Taking the brush again, he writes the characters for Kyogoku Nobuhiro (京極信廣) on it. The second he finished the characters begin to glow a faint blue. Blowing on the bird softly, it begins to flap it's wings and flies away, slipping out the door when a customer arrived. Even if he didn't know a lot about himself, he knew that he had complete control of his spiritual powers, and could do some rather...odd things. Hopefully that bird reached the person it was intended.

The message on it read as follows:

トラブルがあります。

私はそれを感じることができます。

それは闇です。

自分で準備完了。

それは来ています。

~京音 風よ~

There is trouble.

I can feel it.

It is darkness.

Ready yourself.

It is coming.

~Keine Fuuyo~

Toraburu ga arimasu.

Watashi wa sore o kanjiru koto ga dekimasu.

Sore wa yamidesu.

Jibun de junbi kanryō.

Sore wa kite imasu

Once he sent it, he sighs softly, trying to ignore that dreaded feeling he was picking up. This was not good, not at all.
