Lady.Taser
Prologue: It is the year 2030 and scientists have long been able to replace organs and the growth of new limbs to replace lost arms and legs in high on the list for research. Prosthesis are in use but mankind wants to move past this to a point where a champion runner who has lost his leg could be given a new leg and still run the same as he used to. Once small group of scientists are working on project Eve, with the aim to induce evolution in the human race so they the race is able to advance past itself, something that hasn't happened since the humans began to mold the world to themselves. Project Eve involved the construction of a research center on a small Mediterranean Island and it progressed along for 10 years prior to 2030 with little success, then when the scientists think they have the right mutation sorted they begin human trials. Approaching the governments who have discreetly funded the project they explain the progress and explain their need for human subjects and after some deliberation the governments agree. The research facility which had mostly been constructed under ground is kept and a holiday park is built around and above it. The park was advertised as the next biggest holiday destination, it would have fantastic rides, white sand beaches and long days of sun. The park was located on a private Island so guests would be flown onto and off the Island on a private jet where all the seats were first class. Then the company announced that prior to opening the first guests would be given a free invitation to attend, chosen by random selection from the census that the countries carried out. The invited came flocking, eager to be the first to try the new attraction. As planes landed first from the African countries, then the Asian, closely followed by the British and American countries people were brought onto the Island and vaccinated against any possible infections so they could fully enjoy their time there. A week after they had all arrived and the families at home started to receive money as the details and existence of the chosen were deleted and removed from society. The park never opened and no news was ever heard about why. Project Eve Research log #224 The vaccination was in fact an injection of the mutation causing virus, not contagious between humans but highly effective once inside the human body. Each person appears to have different incubation times before any outward signs appeared. No one was sure what we would see first and for a month we didn't see anything. The subjects were all happy with the free holiday and while a couple have been growing uncomfortable most are acting normally. The evolution will affect all differently and will be according to their desires research log # 300 The first fights broke out today and some transformations. Before it gets worse we have been told to terminate all subjects. Flooding and air deprivation are the first methods we will use followed by a release of a virus to completely terminate the subjects. Following this there will be a decade of quarantine. We can't risk the mutation getting out into the general population after the first reaction we have had are violent. It is a shame for the remainder subjects who have yet to exhibit any signs and who may not evolve in the violent manner.
Lady.Taser
Erik was ecstatic when the invite arrived in the post, almost like a golden ticket for the chocolate factory he was one of the chosen. He was a 5"3 26 year old office worker, his long auburn hair was pulled back into a pony tail and the dark brown eyes offset his pale creamy skin. He would often get called strange names about how he chose to look but he had long since learnt to ignore it all. It had been a normal day of work taking too long with not enough to do, Jeanie bitching in his ear about her newest boyfriend and how all the guy could do was stare at her rack. Erik had arrived home dumping his bag just inside the door and kicking his shoes off into the tiny apartment he rented before checking the post. Just one letter today and there was no sign of the word demand or final stamped in red ink so he opened it. Dear Erik Johnson, Congratulations, Mr Johnson you have been selected as one of the lucky few to win entry to the luxurious new holiday park in the Mediterranean. Your flight will be on May 10th 2030 and the two tickets for you and a plus one are included in this envelope. The rest of the letter became a blur, the park had been advertised on the news for months, including the draw for the free holiday for chosen people. Erik just couldn't believe he was one of them. The only luck he had ever had in his life was meeting Derrick, his family had all but abandoned him and he had never really excelled at school, preferring to run around in the woods near his house and climbing trees. So now winning this ticket and getting a free holiday he felt as though he was on top of the world with happiness. Once Derrick got back to the flat he showed him the letter and though he was hesitant because he was working on a large project at work he agreed to go for Erik and to give him a break that he so dearly wanted. There were still two weeks until they were due to leave and so he worked twice as hard to get the project completed successfully so he could go with Erik. When it came to getting on the flight they saw about 15 other people on the jet, seated in first class, hell everyone was and Erik was constantly smiling, never had he been so content before. Then they arrived and the holiday began, a small jab which made Erik wince as they landed but then the freedom started and they both lost track of time. Relaxing, drinking, playing games, swimming, what ever they wanted to do was free an they could do as much as they liked. Erik found he avoided spending time of the beaches as the burning sun didn't tan him it only turned his skin a flaming tender red. Instead he enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool and occasionally in the sauna. The sauna was where he was when he heard screaming and curious he stood up poked his head out of the room and looked down the corridor. Nothing, there was no one in sight so grabbing the bath robe and tying it securely around him he headed in the direction the noise had come from stopping dead when he came to the balcony over the beach. Down on the sand a woman had landed and was scrabbling to move back and away from the creatures in front of her, her feet and hands scrabbling for purchase on the hot sand. Two things that looked like men but appeared to be changing stood in front of each other, both had the tattered remains of their swim shorts on and were posturing at the other trying to get the other to back off. When neither did they charged and started fighting the elongated and sharpened black claws that had replaced the hands of one of the men sliced through the air and into the taught scaly flesh the other had somehow gained. One seemed built for defense with hard skin and large bulk that protected him and the other for offence, all sharp claws and speed as the two traded blows. Not fast enough there were men with tranquilizers surrounding and shooting the two before carting them off to some unknown part of the facility. Rumors spread and Erik found Derrick at the bar he refused to leave his side again, worried about what had happened. Derrick himself hadn't seen it, too far away to hear the scream and along with most of the population of the island they only heard the rumors, which once they had passed various people had grown greater and smaller than the actual event. A few days passed and Erik had dragged Derrick down to the indoor pool, filled with filtered sunlight by the translucent roof and quite a few different pools. A whirlpool took once part of the room, while a large Jacuzzi was on another. There was a pool for swimming laps in and then the recreational pool where Erik enjoyed relaxing. It was mid-morning when everything began to happen, all of the doors allowing entry to the indoor pool room shut tight and an announcement filled the air. "Please forgive the inconvenience, however the indoor pool is now off limits as there has been a pathogen been identified in the water. It is highly deadly and we ask for the co-operation of all guests while we attempt to remove the pathogen safely." People in the room panicked and Erik hugged close to Derrick as people yelled and banged on the doors. One or two began to glow an angry red while others search for a way out, and amidst the panic the water in the room slowly began to rise. Derrick noticed it before Erik and tried to warn him, telling him to keep floating on the water and it should stop soon. Nodding he trusted him and the kept floating. The water kept rising and as other people noticed there were the muffled screams and splashes as some of the people drowned, unable to swim once the water had raised above their heads. Swimming over to a wall where they were out of the way of the chaos that was spreading they watched as one woman who was swimming around trying to help people somehow was able to spend longer and longer underwater. Then she swam near to them and they noticed gills had developed on the side of her neck. The water was nearing the roof now and people had tried banging on the structure, trying to break what looked like glass but was a lot stronger. Erik was starting to panic and begging Derrick to help, to do something despite the fact he understood there was nothing he could do. With a sad smile Derrick wrapped his arms around him and whispered in him ear as they both trod water next to the wall. "I will always protect you" Erik then found himself drifting off into a comfortable blackness as Derrick's skin and limbs began surrounding him, forming a shape as he too began to change. The result was a cocoon, much like a caterpillar's, it was secured on the wall where he had transformed and inside the cocoon Derrick looked as the man who was now sleeping inside what he had become. "Always." The cocoon Derrick had formed allowed them both to be saved, seemingly waterproof, both of their life functions slowed down to almost nothing and it was almost though he had taken on plant like properties, cleaning out the carbon dioxide and replacing it with oxygen. Once the water had dropped they stayed in the cocoon sleeping and safe until they were disturbed 10 years later.
Yukio Takamiya
Sand and more sand, that was all Teru saw when he opened his eyes. What was worse is that they stuck to his wet skin making him feel dirty and uncomfortable under the sun's humidity. He forced his aching limbs to move as he willed them to but groaned when they protested in pain. He had been tossed around and submerged by violent waves throughout the night, courtesy of the storm that brewed. Feeling stiff from the long hours of treading, Teru sat up from his laying position with great effort. In no time, he felt the tears rolling down his cheeks in galleons. Teru gave a cry of despair as he recalled the events that led to his current predicament. It was just a simple holiday, he hadn't meant any harm but it was still his fault. If there was one thing that Teru craved, it was attention. But it wasn't just any attention that Teru craved, he wanted his parents to give him the same attention that his siblings received. He knew that it was incredibly childish of him to want that same attention that children got but he didn't show it in the childish way. He would never ever admit that he craved parental affection, instead he just showed his parents the brochure and said that it was a good way for the family to bond. The luxury cruise was meant to be a time for enjoyment seeing as his parenDrts were always busy. They cleared their schedule specially for this outing, there was no way that they could have predicted the arrival of that dreaded storm. When they boarded the ship and received their cabin numbers, the first thing they did was jump on the beds. Then they stuffed themselves at the lunch reception all the while laughing and talking. His two younger siblings were more active, they ran around the ship and played with other children their age. Teru did not join them, he was perfectly contented with sitting down with his parents and making casual talk. But as the day came close to the end, the seas began to get restless and so did the wind. Teru at that moment was ignorant and stood by the rails, enjoy the strong breeze. He looked up at the sky and realised that there were no stars. Yukio Takamiya
That was when he started piecing the facts together , but it was too late. Or perhaps it was too late the moment they boarded the ship, there was no avoiding the storm. "Brother!" His two siblings cried as they were separated from him amongst the panicking crowd and violent tremors. Turbulent waves crash against and into the ship. Teru tried to look for his family, he was now alone and from the looks of it, the weight of the passengers would soon overturn the ship, he had to find his family and stick together before that happened. But his time ran out before Teru could find them, the ship fell over and slowly sank, the passengers too fell into the sea, Teru was no exception. He swam around look for any signs of his family to no avail. Teru was alone before he knew it, he focused on keeping afloat and let the currents move him to where it wanted. When Teru finally hit landfinally, he let his exhaustion take over and blacked out. Teru stood up and surveyed the surroundings,he was currently on a beach, but a dense forest stood behind. The forest looked intimidating enough on the outside and Teru did not want to know if he would be able to make it out upon entry. However, his stomach chose that moment rumble, he had skipped dinner on the night of the storm and it was now morning. The sea did not look inviting at the moment, fishing was not an option. The forest was even less inviting as the darkness inside seem to loom ahead endlessly but its dangers couldn't be worse than what Teru experienced at sea could it? That was what Teru thought when he swallowed his fear and stepped into the darkness. If only he knew...
Lady.Taser
For a while Eric found the holiday went on forever, but he couldn't find the energy to question it. Nor did he have thoughts of ever leaving, in fact ever so slowly he found he was forgetting his past. Eric would wake up in the morning curled up next to Derrick, tracing his lovers jaw a small but happy smile on his face. Then he would end up in an endless routine, swimming, sauna or beach and even though he knew he had done it before. While his days were repeating and forgetful, Eric found his nights were entirely different, Dreams of floating, flashing colours of dark and painful, contrasting to bright and happy. He would wake in the middle of the night and not know what to think, he didn't want to worry Derrick so kept it to himself. The dreams of colours becoming nightmares of monsters, of needles and of panic. The worse his dreams became the more the weather darkened, transforming from a blissfully warm and sunny paradise to a raining cold day. The wind and rain had been howling for days and in the midst of one of his happier dreams, floating alongside Derrick when a strong shaking separated their hands and pulling them apart. The movement was so violent that Eric couldn't see straight, however there was no rumbling as he expected to hear with the movement. Instead a loud howling and dull thuds reached his ears. Then nothing. A sensation of falling, endless falling until that moment he jerked away, sitting up suddenly and looking to Derrick in a panic. Only he couldn't see Derrick, in fact he couldn't see anyone. He sort of recognised the room he was in, it did in fact look remarkably like the swimming pool, the windows were smashed and covered in green and the floor had rubble and white bleached sticks lying around. Moving to stand up Eric went to use his hand to push himself off the ground, only to find himself slipping and landing on his arse. The ground seemed cushioned and looking down at his hand he noticed the green, veiny, plant matter underneath him. In fact not just underneath him, some was still curled around his legs and it looked a bit shattered in a small are around him. Clenching his fist Eric stood up more carefully, he didn't know what was going on, or where everyone was but quite honestly he only cared about finding Derrick right then. Brushing the quickly browning plant matter onto the ground he headed towards the forest just outside the window, the whole of the glass pane had shattered on the ground and it was very happy to cut his foot open and remind him that he was bare foot. He also realised just after he cried out in pain that he was still in his swimsuit and he though that was just a fantastic start to what ever time of day it was right not. Cold, damp, a cut foot and not even dressed properly.
Yukio Takamiya
The forest was nothing like the beach. Without the sun's heat, Teru felt the effects of the sea breeze against his damp skin. He shivered continuously and rubbed his arms to induce as much heat as possible. As he did this, he felt another brush of wind against his back. Teru shivered again and decided to move faster, deeper into the forest where the wind couldn't reach him. "Aaaggh!" Teru scrambled away from the hundredth bug that he had touched by accident. Don't be mistaken, he wasn't afraid of insects but the bugs in the forests were abnormally huge and not to mention, their species were mostly unknown to him, or perhaps even science. The forest was dark with the sunlight almost totally blocked out. Teru had to strain his eyes to watch his steps, keep a look out for any wild animals and at the same time looking up at the trees for any fruit. It was not till an hour later whenTeru finally spotted the first fruit. Scanning the trees for any bugs, Teru almost cheered when he saw none, he took a step towards the tree but stopped abruptly. It wasn't that there were no creepy crawlies on the tree, it was just that they had left the tree momentarily for the fallen fruits on the ground, just around the tree. The area surrounding the tree was crawling with thousands of ants and the fallen fruits were so covered to the point that he could hardly see it. Teru watched as a bigger insect crawled into their midst hoping for a share. It was terminated in mere seconds. Teru gulped and decided to look for other means of food, his stomach could still handle a bit of waiting, rather than letting his bare foot be consumed by hungry ants seeing as he had lost his slippers as the ship sank. Teri wondered if every fruit tree was the same as the previous one. How long would he have to wait before he could eat something. He didn't want to be reduced to a state where he would have to eat bugs instead. Or would he stay lost and hungry till the point of starvation. So absorbed into his negative thoughts, Teru was surprised when he bumped into something. He looked up from the ground and a net touched his face. No, not a net, a fence, and behind the fence was a building, covered head to toe with creeping vines. Teru stared at it in wonder. How long had it been here? The undergrowth around it was thick. As he was still aweing at the sight of the building, Teru suddenly heard rustling, then thudding. It had a certain rhythm to it, an injured animal? Teru found a hiding spot behind a bundle of trees and waited for the unknown entity to reveal itself.
Lady.Taser
It was with a heavy sigh that Eric continued past the glass, looking and treading carefully in an attempt to avoid being stabbed in the foot again. He had contemplated going back into their room to find some clothes, however a quick glance around showed that the doors to the pool were sealed with a metal door. He couldn't understand why though. The last thing Eric remembered was his dream and the facility definitely didn't look like this yesterday, it was as though every thing had broken and not been maintained in ages. When he finally reached the window he carefully looked outside and sighed with relief when he noticed it was little more that a step to be on solid ground. The only problem was he was now in an area he hadn't been to before and he didn't know how to get back to his room. Or where to even start searching for Derrick. It was possible that Derrick hadn't gone to the pool with him which was why he didn't know where he was. Licking his lips to call of for Derrick, or anybody actually. There had been quite a few people at the park, yet he seemed to be completely alone right now. No staff, none of the other visitors, nothing. Well there were a few birds circling in the air but nothing that was of any use to him. In front there was a metal fence, Eric could see that it was broken in a few places along it's stretch, though in front of him was still intact. He turned to face the building, backing up to the fence. What had happened to it, seriously and how had he not seen any of it happen. His back met the fence with a rattle and Eric threaded his fingers through the wires to help support himself.
Yukio Takamiya
Teru stood on guard behind the bundle of trees and waited with anxiety. He tensed when the sound of movement got closer and his heartbeat accelerated. Suddenly, a voice called out an unfamiliar name, Teru jerked from the sudden shock from being too tense. Could there be another person stranded on this god forsaken island? Teru stood still, still gathering his wits. The voice came from behind the fence, does that mean that there are more people in the building? Teru sneaked a peek at the building through the gaps between tree branches. The same view of the vine covered building greeted him. It wasn't possible, if there were people in the building..... Teru could think of an appropriate for it to look so un-maintained, if that was even a word. The rattle of the rattle of the fence broke Teru out of his reverie and got his senses on full alert. Teru stilled his heavy breaths and collected his thoughts. He wouldn't be able to see whoever it was through the trees. The only option was to step out and take a quick look before hiding again. If the person noticed him, Teru could only hope that it was no one dangerous. If they was.... Teru ceased all thoughts, he would want a painless death. Teru shut his eyes and took deep quiet breaths to calm his pounding heart. He was lucky enough to survive the storm and he hoped that the luck would last till he found a way to get back to the city. He shut his eyes, opened it again and finally stepped out. It was a man but Teru couldn't see his face. His back was facing Teru, leaning on the rusted fence that had experienced different weathers throughout the years. But Teru could not tear his eyes from the figure. Partly the reason was that the man was wearing a bizzare outfit. Was that a swimsuit? It looked so outdated. The second reason was the injured foot that had not received any treatment. And lastly, although Teru could not see the other's face, the vibe he gave off just screamed depression. Just like that, Teru stood on his spot and watched the lone figure that was leaning on the fence.
Lady.Taser
Eric leaned his head back against the fence and looked up to the sky, the sun beat down mercilessly on his exposed skin and Eric found he couldn't care less as tears begun to well up. His chest heaved roughly as it worked to pull air into his lungs as he struggled to not sob. He couldn't control the emotion, or the fear that felt like it would rip him apart, nothing was as it should be, nothing was as it was and worst of all Eric felt as though it never would be again. He knew Derrick, and Derrick would always have found a way to find him and help him if something went wrong. So where was Derrick? He could feel his legs beginning to buckle and to avoid another injury Eric decided to sit down, to give himself time to try and sort it out. Not feeling entirely steady he turned towards the forest partially with the goal of looking at the fencing to help lower himself to the ground. He expected to see the metal wire, rusting in places as everything else seemed to be now. The dense forest he could swear had been a few meters further away last time and the dulled, dappled effect of the sunlight that was almost permanent under the canopy of the trees. What he did not expect how ever was to see a man. A man who appeared to be stood stock still and staring at him. Pausing half way to the ground Eric simply stared back for a minute, that is before the sweat forming on his hand caused him to lose grip on the wire and fall to the ground for the second time since waking up with a light thud. The shock caused him to wince and rub lightly at his lower back. After a couple of seconds he focused on the other man. He didn't look dangerous, definitely unfamiliar and yet Eric wondered if he might know what had happened here. Looking up at the other with a cautious expression he spoke quietly. "W-Who are you? Do you know what happened here?"
Yukio Takamiya
Teru stood extremely still as the man started to move, it was not till the man turned that Teru remembered he was just supposed to take a quick look. His body tensed again and his knees bent, prepared to run should the man pose any threat or contact his comrades. However, the man made no move to make a call or threaten him, he simply stared at Teru. Teru was under the impression that the guy was also analysing him for any signs of danger. He stood completely still not letting himself make a move to alarm the other. When the latter spoke, Teru was surprised. The man has obviously been here a lot longer than him but he was the one being asked 'what happened?' Ironic, since that was the question Teru was about to pose to the other. "I don't know," Teru replied. "I was stranded here after the storm last night sunk the ship that I was on. But you, how long have you been here?" Teru didn't know if the storm had affected this area, but it probably had judging by the puddles of water that port holes in the ground had collected. They hadn't dried up yet, but it was pretty obvious that the storm occurred on a large scale.
Lady.Taser
The stranger's words confused Eric, as did the man's appearance. Well his clothes were normal enough, but those red eyes, and the purple and blue hair. Eric hadn't spoken to someone so outrageous since his college days. He hadn't noticed anything that he would have called a storm lately, sure the weather had been bad but it had been so constant that he started to consider it the climate rather than a storm. When he tried to figure out how long he realised that he couldn't come up with a length of time. It all seemed so long and short, but he didn't actually remember doing that much, so when he spoke to answer his voice was hesitant and quiet and also a bit sore. A quiet rattle beginning in the back of his throat. "Um.. well the plane tickets here were for May 10th.... 2030, and it feels like it should been 2031 by now. I don't remember the celebrations for the new year though. It is already 2031?" With a sigh he looked down at his bloodied foot. Surely a holiday park would celebrate big holidays but he didn't know. "Now that I think about it there weren't any return tickets so I can even use that for a time reference... it all just blended..."
Yukio Takamiya
Listening to the auburn haired male completely baffled Teru. He was starting to question the sanity of said man. 2030? It was obviously 2040 now. If this man had came to the island on 2030, he would have been just a teenage kid. Teru scrutinised the man's face carefully, he looked to be only in his twenties. Sigh, a little too young to go crazy, reality was going to be very harsh on him. "2030? What on earth are you babbling on about mister? A beautiful ten years has gone by since then." Teru admitted that perhaps his words seemed a little rude, but the way he formed his words was also important in letting the man believe him. It was necessary, Teru had seen how some mental patients refuse to face reality, well, that's why they were termed as 'mental' in the first place. Getting back to the current situation, Teru waited for the man's response. He genuinely hoped that his reaction wouldn't get violent. Teru wasn't completely convinced that the man really was crazy. It was just a precaution to be suspicious, if he did get violent... Well, all Teru had to do was bolt, the latter couldn't possibly run well on that bleeding foot. Lady.Taser
"Ten years?" Eric spoken his voice questioning and scared, "What do you mean ten years has gone by? I sure as hell haven't aged ten years.." His voice a little panicked as he looked around him. Overgrown forest, a building which had aged and fallen into disrepair seemingly overnight. Ten years made sense for the changes he was clearly seeing, but he still couldn't wrap his head around it. Did that make it 2040 now? Looking back to the other he couldn't tell if the man was lying, did he even have a reason to lie? Did Eric want to believe what the other was saying? He didn't know, if the other was right then what had happened to Derrick and everyone else who had been on the island. Suddenly he saw a vision. A terrified woman on a beach and two monsters fighting in front of her. Then a woman swimming around in a room where water the water level kept increasing. "She had gills" Eric whispered the last words with awe. He realised this wasn't a vision but a memory, the problem was he couldn't remember any more. Slowly he struggled to his feet using the fence to help him up. "I ..." Pausing with a sigh he looked back to the building "I need to head into the building, Derrick might be in there, or there might be clues." Looking straight into the others eyes he spoke firmly. "I don't know whether I believe you. If I do it means everything I ever knew has changed, there might be information in there."
Yukio Takamiya
Teru frowned at the man's words, a woman had gills? Was he in some sort of fantasy world? What on earth was this man, he was the epitome of weird. What information was he talking about and what did he know? Teru was confused, just what on earth is this island? As the man struggled to get up, Teru stated lamely," you can't possibly go anywhere on that foot. I bet you cut yourself in there, if you're going back in, I suggest you protect your foot with something. By the way, isn't it common sense to treat your foot the moment you injured it?" Speaking so much tired him but this man just didn't know how to take care of himself. The name that he called previously, Teru kind of pitied that person, he probably had to babysit this guy a lot. Teru walked towards the man and climbed the wired fence as fasy as he could in case it gave way under his weight with all that rust. Teru jumped and landed beside the man. After rummaging around his pockets, Teru fished out a wet hankerchief and tied it around the man's foot. "Its still wet, but it should do. I'll follow you in, seeing as I have no where else to go. Besides, you said that there was information, I could find a way off the island." Teru walked towards the building after speaking.
Lady.Taser
Eric grimaced against the dampness of the handkerchief, before looking up at the other and replying sarcastically. "Yea well what do you except me to cover my foot with? There is nothing suitable here." he waved his arm around in the general vicinity before grumbling under his breath and standing up. He tenderly tested weight on his foot before apologizing to the other. "Sorry, I am just... It has been a very disconcerting day. If everything is as it was then there should be shoes and a first aid kit inside somewhere. Also I didn't promise information I said there might be." Pointing to the broken window he had left from he mentioned the exit to the other male. "Only problem with that way in is the doors were sealed shut inside so we will have to go around to find a way inside." Eric began to limp towards the building, "If we follow around the edge we might find another way in." As he was scanning the side of the building a sudden flash of pain burned through his head and his eyes flashed a dull blue for a few moments before fading back to their normal brown colour. Yukio Takamiya
Teru watched the other guy limp towards the building, his back facing him. Thus, he did not see the flash within the man's eyes. "Hey, you never did tell me your name. Or do you prefer that I call you 'hey' for the period of time that we're stuck here." He followed the auburn haired individual deeper into the undergrowth towards the building, careful not to step on any nettles or weird plant that may have grown. They continued to walk around the building but the perimeter of the building was too large. Teru was starting to feel the effects of his hunger, weariness tugged at his mind and he finally called for the other. "Couldn't we just find something to break a hole in the wall? Anything but walking, I have a feeling that I'm going to black out soon. That wouldn't be good for anyone, though you can always choose to go your own way." Teru said tiredly and sat down. His tummy let out another protest, but this time he had no energy to find food. "Go. Just let me die in peace here." He said not thinking straight. Lying down in the wet grass, Teru closed his eyes and his consciousness slipped away.
