Mar took his time exploring the garden, not that he hadn't gone there before. The garden was his favourite place in the manor, it had a fresh air about it and helped Mar to clear his head whenever he needed to. However, when Mar looked back at his burnt but slowly healing arm, the memories returned again. It seems like it would be very hard to permanently forget that period of time. Sighing deeply, he went back into the house.

When he entered the house, he smelled an extremely familiar smell. He could never forget this smell that currently invaded his senses. Mar felt his fear increase by a hundred fold. It couldn't be him, but just to be sure, Mar crept into the drawing room. There he was. Mar felt his body start to shake upon sighting the hunters. Actually not the hunters, rather it was that particular hunter. Mar couldn't take his eyes of the man. Yasha, the hunter who over saw his interrogation and torture all those years ago. He was standing among the group of hunters. Even though Mar had gotten a lot stronger now, he couldn't help feeling afraid when he remembered Yasha's sneer and frequent orders to have him beaten. The fear of his eight year old self was still there, but now that he had seen Kaname again, all he wanted to do was run far away.

Mar looked at his hands, they were shaking violently. His legs was rooted to the ground.

'Move!' Mar thought silently, willing his legs to move. The tears were threatening to spill. Who on earth let those men in. His legs finally moved, but they buckled under his trembling form and he fell. He wanted to run, but he was just so scared that his own body wasn't listening. Suddenly Mar heard the rattling of glass. His eyes moved quickly and focused on a vase, shaking on a display table. His intense fear was spinning his powers out of control. If the vase fell, he would no doubt be discovered. 'Move!,' Mar screamed inside his head again. His muscles weren't listening to him.

'CRASH!!!' The vase fell. Mar tensed up immediately and turned slowly. A shadow was coming closer to the exit of the drawing room, and Mar was right by the doorway leaning against the wall. He shut his eyes and waited to be discovered.

Julius listened to Kaname, only losing his focus once when he sensed Mar.. The pure blood couldn't hide his presence to well, let alone his emotions. He could feel the others fear. Why was he so scared...

"I see..."

CRASH!!!

In a split second the hunters had there weapons out, pointing them at Julius. The sound of breaking glass startlingly them.

Julius was standing, in a defensive stance, his butler beside him with rage in his eyes.

"Stop, put your weapons away! We're not here to fight! "

Kaname yelled.

"I'm sorry.. we were all startled. If you'll excuse me for a moment. "

Julius found Mar as he left the room, right

by the doorway leaning against the wall. He frowned slightly..

"..Such fear.."

He said, pushing up his glasses. Seeing that Mar was so frightened that he couldn't stand. Tears in his eyes. Why was he so scared of the hunters? He always acted like a spoiled brat.

"Your safe..."

He told the pure blood as he leaned down to be eye-level with him.

"Your shaking.. and I do believe those are tears in your eyes...If you'll allow me to help you.. I'll take you to your room.."

He offered Mar his hand.

Mar stared at the hand before him. Why was Julius being so nice all of a sudden? Despite his suspicions, Mar took the hand anyways seeing how he couldn't really stand at the moment. He was still shaking as they stood up and walked towards the stairs.

"Why are they here? Why are there hunters in the house, because of what I did? Because I killed one of them?" Mar asked, the fear still evident in his voice. Despite being scared of the hunters that were now in the house, Mar did not regret killing their comrade. Because they deserved it, signing a treaty and breaking it in just a year by capturing him. He didn't care if this was just a war between himself and the hunters, they started it and he wasn't going to back down after he overcomes his trauma.

Upon reaching his room, Mar closed his door immediately not looking if Julius was coming in or not. He didn't want anyone to come in, letting Julius see his weakness was already bad enough. Servester came over and nudged his leg but Mar paid him no heed. Going over to his closet, he grabbed his cloak and wrapped it around himself pulling the hood over his head. He had to go, if this carries on, the hunters would soon come for him. He didn't want to go back to that dark cell that stank of death and decay. Mar flung open the window. Now that Julius was occupied with the hunters, there was no one to see him go. Leaping off the ledge, he disappeared into the night.

The stubborn pure blood hesitated, but eventually took his hand and stood, shaking as he walked toward the stairs. The other was truly scared.

"Why are they here? Why are there hunters in the house, because of what I did? Because I killed one of them?" [/Quote]

"Yes.. but you won't be accountable for it. You didn't know any better. I can take care of this.."

They reached his room and with out any warning the younger make closed the door in his face. He stared. The boy had unintentionally shown him his weaknesses and Julius intended to use them.

He heard the boys window open... was he.. running away?

Such a child...

He thought. But now things were getting interesting.

Julius headed back down stairs, not intending to reveal the others disappearance until later. He doubted the other would be able to survive on his own.

After running for two nights only stopping to avoid the sun, Mar was considerably far from his home. He finally allowed himself to rest in an inn of an unfamiliar tiwn called 'Brook's Ville'. The hospitality of the inn to Mar was absolutely horrible. He wasn't used to the hard and stuffy bed which his own bed never had. The inn was old and cracks were visible on the walls. He rejected the stale broth that was offered to him by the innkeeper and holed himself up in the rented room. Every little sound kept him high on alert. He heightened his senses, listening at a kilometer's radius. While doing so, he could hear the blood flowing through the veins of every human within his range. Mar gulped and wet his dry lips, his thirst was getting worse especially after running for so long. Mar was drained. If he lost control, surely many lives will be lost. Mar didn't want that, it would only create more trouble for his family and Julius.

When night fell, Mar cursed and left the room. "Oh? Kiddo...where're ya goin at tis time ofta night?" The innkeeper asked while drying a plate at the counter.

"Out," Mar replied simply and left. He raced out of the town at such a fast pace that nobody noticed him go. Entering the nearest woods, Mar grabbed the antler of the first deer he saw so fast that the poor animal couldn't run. He sank his fangs into the deer's flank as the rest of the herd fled. The deer within his grasp squealed and struggled but couldn't flee from Mar's strong hold. Soon, its struggles got weaker and it flopped down motionless. Mar finally retracted his fangs and spat. Horrible but filling. He rubbed his tummy and left the woods.

Two days had passed since the others disappearance, and his parents and the servants were quite worried. A pure blood was missing! That was a huge problem. Julius had handled the hunters, however if the other messed up again. He wasn't sure if he could help him.

The boys parents had asked him to assist in the boys search and he humbly expected. Anything to help make himself look good.

----------------------------------------------

Julius stood in the boys awful room. Just looking at the bed Julius saw how hard and stuffy the bed was. The inn was old with, cracks in the walls. All kinds of sounds echoed from outside ans others rooms into his own. How did he sleep?

He was young and still didn't know how to control himself to well. He knew he must be hungry by now. And fighting your hunger was worse then death.

...Such a bother..

He thought. Spending hours searching for him. He was in danger, it wasn't a good idea to run away.

He sighed. Assuming the other might return. And if he didn't he'd have to keep looking. However he knew he was close.

Mar was outside the inn in no time after his meal. Immediately, he felt Julius' s familiar presence and clenched his jaws. He leaped in through the open window and landed on the wooden floorboards without so much as a creak. "What are you doing here?" He asked solemnly. Taking off his cloak, he draped it over the chair and sat on the bed. "If you're here to make me go back, I refuse."

He wasn't going to cause any trouble for his family, so he didn't have to go back. The hunters would no doubt have listed him down even if the matter was pushed aside temporarily. "Please go back."

Julius stared at the pure blood. He seemed ok. He was surprised the boy made it this far.

"Your causing trouble for everyone. The vampire society is in panic because your missing. There are only a hand full of pure bloods left... What are you thinking? I handled the hunters, however there all things you still Don't know that you need to learn."

The room dropped in temperature, showing how upset Julius truly was, his eyes a bright bloody red. The air cold.

"You are not allowed to run away from your problems. You have a responsibility that you never asked for, but you must rise to the occasion. You have wasted my time, your parents are worried about you."

Did the other not see all the harm and trouble He was causing! He could of started a war between hunters and vampires! The vampire society is in panic looking for him!

With out a second thought he came in front of the other and slapped him across the face.

"Forgive me..however it seems smacking you is the only way to scold you. Your parents are too forgiving. You must return, it is Your responsibility as a pure blood. It is time you stop behaving like a child."

Mar gave Julius a death glare, if looks could kill he would be six feet under by now. "Impudence! This is the second time you have raised your hand against me. Do not think that I would overlook this." He grabbed his cloak and looked back. "What are you waiting for?" After speaking, he left the room and paid the rent before exiting the inn.

He was mad that Julius had slapped him a second time. But it doesn't mean that he didn't hear the older man's words. If he was causing trouble for his family just by being absent, perhaps he shouldn't have left at all. Mar admitted, he was rash and bad tempered. He wanted vengeance on the hunters for hurting him, he was childish. But so what, he was a kid!

Julius followed slowly. Keeping rather close to him. Not caring if the boy forgave him. But as they walled to his car he stopped Mar, taking his arm.

"I don't care if you forgive me...however I know that for some reason.. the hunters scare you. And you hold hatred toward them. I don't know what they did to you, but...I can assure you that you are safe with me..."

He let him go as he polity opened the door for him.

"I can't image the suffering you've endured at such a young age.. but I see it..in your eyes...please, get in.."

Mar eyed Julius cautiously before getting into the Vintage. For some reason, the man could read him like a book. Every emotion that he so carefully hid was revealed ever since Julius came. He was dangerous, Mar realised. He had to stay far away from Julius so that his half uncovered secret could stay safe.

He kept quiet throughout the ride sneaking occasional glances at Julius. Whatever happened from here on was a mystery but Mar wasn't about to submit. Not to the hunters nor Julius or anyone else.

Mar eyed him, as if not trusting him. After a moment He got into the car. Julius sat next to him as the driver drove them back home. His eyes glancing at Mar. He kept quiet throughout the ride sneaking occasional glances at him but he didn't mind.

After a few hours, they reached the young pure bloods mansion. A butler opened the door as Julius stepped out. Staying rather close to the other.

"You should eat... I know animal blood is very distasteful. "

He muttered. Heading into the house and going to his own room.

((Sorry for the late reply. I hadn't noticed that you had updated until i scrolled back a page of the rp arena))

Animal blood? Seems like Mar hadn't cleaned himself properly if Julius could smell it. Even so, he hadn't expected the aristocrat to come looking for him thus not washing off the scent before he returned. "Worse blood that I have ever drank,"Mar grumbled. "Even that drunkard's blood that I had first drank was better. And here I thought that nothing could be worse." He went towards his own quarters away from where Julius was heading.

Halfway while going to his room, Mar stopped. In his way stood his honoured parents. His honoured mother's face was tear-streaken as she ran forward to engulf him in a hug while sobbing. Mar didn't hug her back, his eyes were trained on his honoured father who wore a stern expression. When the older Vanderbolt started walking towards him, Mar pushed his honoured mother away the same time he was back-handed. He fell to the floor. The blow had been much harder than Julius' s but he kept quiet.

"Foolishness!" His father spat. Mar lifted a hand to his reddened cheek and stood up. He walked past his honoured father towards his room, shaking off his honoured mother's hands.

"You didn't have to hit him so hard!" He heard his mother scold his father.

"He deserved it. Shedding his duties as a pureblood, we were lucky that Julius found him. Why oh why couldn't that nice young man have been my son?!" His father said. Mar closed his eyes and entered his room. It was always Julius this and Julius that. If they were so unsatisfied with him, why bother looking for him at all? A war between hunters and vampires? If Mar ended his own life, would they stop? The culprit that drank from unwilling humans would be gone, the hunters wouldn't complain right?

Mar didn't let the tears fall. He wouldn't cry anymore. Going towards Servester, he stroked the panther's head and smiled sadly. "If I weren't borned Sar, would everything have been better?" He asked the panther. Servester whined softly and rubbed his head against his master's knee. Mar sighed. He was spoilt, that he could agree. But it didn't mean that he would accept being pushed around by grown ups. Standing up, he went into the bathing chambers to wash off the grime and dirt from his travels and hopefully for the time being, his troubles.
