The fragrance of spring was in the air. New plant life was spouting, light dew made the grass shine as the sun slowly rises from the mountainside. Many people were just rising from there slumber at this point. Yet, what was the assassin doing at a time like this? Amita found himself heading towards the palace. Shielded by the darkness, he had managed to get there quietly and without any incident. This was probably why he hated sunrises. For the simple fact that he could no longer hide. It was easier to be spotted. But no worries. If he was to be caught, he was dressed formally. As if he was already important. No one dared to ask who he was simply because he looked like a noble in his nice navy blue kimono. Although, not that anyone cared, he technically was a noble... In his past life, or so he called it. To be honest, it was ridiculously easy to get the palace. Not one person stopped him. He hadn't been ambushed, though if he had, he had his lucky dagger with him. The dagger had a vine design on it, specially crafted for him. The grip was perfect for him. The dagger lay hidden in his sleeve for easy access. That, and not to mention that he was trained to fight. So if anyone had been brave enough to stand up to him, he would promptly take care of the issue. Probably the reason he hadn't been caught yet had to do with the fact that he had a secret way to get inside of the palace. According to some information he got, there would be a false wall on the north side of the palace, right next to a cherry blossom tree. Luckily there was one right next to the wall, just as he was told. So here he was, quietly wondering the halls of the palace. It would seem that even some of the guards were still asleep... "Stop! Who goes there?!" Or not... Amita merely and casually turns around slowly. He knew how to work this perfectly. "Ah, hello there. I am here for business with the emperor. I was sent here and I can't seem to find where he is at the moment..." The guard looks at Amita skeptically before questioning him, "Then what is your name, sir? I cannot allow strangers to be in the palace..." He warned, "So tell me your name, before I arrest you for trespassing." "Mitsuo Usagi." Amita said calmly, wondering if he would be able to trick the other male with his alias. "Mitsuo Usagi... Usagi... Oh!" The guard snaps his fingers as if he had an ah-ha moment. "You are very late! Don't you know that the emperor was waiting for your arrival yesterday? You will be lucky if he doesn't behead you." The guard scolded Amita as he ushers him deeper into the palace. Amita's brows furrowed in confusion, but nonetheless complies to follow the guard. Perhaps this would lead him right to the emperor... And he could finish the job early... Gladis
Name: Han Fai Nickname: None Forms of Adress: Your Imperial Majesty Radiant Highness Holy Highness Son of Heaven Age: 18 Date of Birth: January 1st Gender: Male Sexuality: Rumors are that the young emperor may have a preference for men Position: Seke Appearance: Height: 172 cm Weight: Average Eye Color: Amber Hair Style and Color: His hair is long and snowy white. It has a silky quality to it and he often ears it loose, but will sometimes tie part of it up. Skin: Pale Scars/Markings/Tattoos/Etc: Clothing: Traditional Chinese Wear Often quite extravagant The color the royal family is red and so he often wears red Personality/Traits: Fai has two sides; his public face and true self. Whilst the emperor in the company of his officials, he will most often wear a serious expression and speak formally. He acts with elegance and grace, yet still exudes strength. In reality Fai is very lonely. He has no one who sees him for who he is, as everyone, even his closest friends, may never forget that he carries the title of emperor. Thus, whenever he finds something to pour his affection into, he will do so with all his might. Be it a cute stray kitten or a lover. He can come off clingy and sometimes even a little childish, but that may just be because he was never truly allowed to be a child. Brief History: Fai is the ninth son of the late emperor. After his fathers death, the empire fell into disarray as his children fought for the right to ascend the throne. Many nobles were killed in the squabble, but most of all did the poor suffer. Eventually it came to the point where all of his brothers had either been killed or exiled. The throne more or less fell right into Fai's lap, despite that he had absolutely no desire to rule. Extras: - He is talented with the ehru. - Red spider lilies are his favorite flower. - Both parents are deceased. - He became emperor at the age of twelve. - He has no desire to rule, yet knows that there is no way out. - He is very fond of animals. Cats and birds in particular. Likes: √ Tea √ Animals √ Music √ Gardens √ Flowers √ Swordplay √ Poetry √ Sweets √ Medical Studies Dislikes: ×Red Bean Paste ×Fish ×Darkness ×Loneliness ×Boredom ×Needless Bloodshed He was young when he became Emperor. Merely a child who could hardly carry the burdens of running en empire on his own, tiny shoulder. And yet the task had still befallen him. If only the squabble between his brothers had never happened. If only his father had not passed away when he did. Then perhaps the ninth prince could have spent his life as he wished. Perhaps he hasn't been forced into a role he never even wished for in the first place. Fai sighed, resting his chin in his palm as he eyed through scroll after scroll of administrative texts and policies which, according to his uncle and advisor were in need of reviewing. In the meanwhile his uncle was pacing back and forth, going on about how it was unacceptable for the emperor to having taken neither wife nor concubine thus far. As usual Fai tuned out his rants, pretending to focus at his work at hand. His interest in women was minimal and part of Fai doubted this would ever change, and though it was accepted for an emperor to have male lovers – it was rather rare for them to be interested in men only. There was after all the matter of choosing an empress and producing an heir to be dealt with. "Is the emperor even listening to what his uncle is saying?!" asked his uncle, stopping his pacing for a moment to look directly at his nephew. "Hmm?" Fai, having allowed his mind to wander only just barely payed attention to his uncles ramblings. The man would always rant for hours on end and always about the most unnecessary of things. It was hardly worth paying attention to. Besides, he had more pressing matters at hand. "Pray tell, might something have happened with that rabbit? He never did turn up yesterday, did he?" His uncle frowned, clearly confused by the emperor's question. "I'm sorry, your excellency, but rabbit?" Fai simply smiled. He knew it was not befitting an emperor to allow himself such a silly little joke, yet he couldn't help it. "His name was Usagi, no? My new servant. You said he would-" the emperor was never allowed to finish that sentence, for a knock on the door interrupted him. He glanced up, a slight frown creasing his forehead. "Forgive me, your highness, but may I request an audience with the emperor? I have mister Usagi with me." "Well, will you look at that," mused the emperor, "bring him in, will you?" Exellda
As the guard lead Amita, he would make note of the interior of the palace which the emperor lived. He almost felt honored to be inside such a place... Had he not been assigned to assassinate the emperor, Han Fai. Being properly escorted, Amita knew he would see the emperor in no time at all, in fact, he believed he would be seeing the emperor face to face. What a perfect situation, however, Amita was not rash, he would carry out his duties in the most secretive of ways. He would do it in such a way, that no one would even suggest that he had done it. It seemed that fate would have them meet, now, just behind these great doors, he waited for the emperors approval to come inside. This was going to be simply too easy. Amita found excitement in this and maybe even a little bit of nervousness. None of his targets have been this important before. He would have thought he wouldn't have been nervous, but he supposed it was because- there were so many things that could go wrong. Perhaps, before he should kill the emperor, he should befriend him, as to not rouse suspicion. Even if that made it a longer quest, it would be safer that way. Awaiting the guard to return, he was granted permission to come inside. Now was the moment of truth. Amita had never seen the prince before and his eyes dared to betray him as he walked in. He kept his eyes down until he was before the emperor himself, kneeling on one knee. One must show courtesy to those above them, such as the emperor, even if they were his targets. This was also a trait of his, to be polite and kind, despite the situation. Plus, if he was to get close to him, Amita needed his trust. That's when Amita chose to look up and to his surprise, he didn't think his eyes were ready to see what had been seen. The emperor, Han Fai, was... Utterly beautiful. He could feel his eyes widen in surprise, then he quickly lowed his gaze as well as his head. It was just as he was informed. The other male mas just as handsome as Amita was warned he would be. Though, he found himself baffled because... Surely the emperor was..? He looked so young- too young to be running the throne. Yet there he was, Han Fai, in all his glory, seemingly on top and ruler of the earth below them. Lucky for him, the guard introduced him to the emperor. Perfect. So now, all he had to do was give himself to the emperor. A simple explanation for being late should remedy any odd ends. "Son of Heaven, I beg your forgiveness as I did not intend to be late. I was ambushed while on my travels and had to take a detour. Had it gone my way, I would have been here a day early." Amita was a man who much preferred to be early than late. "I am Usagi, at your service and pleasure, Radiant Highness." Yes, flattery was not above Amita. It was his job and duty to carry out his kill. Thus, befriending the emperor was also his duty. Amita wanted to sweeten him up and make it seem that there was nothing going amiss here. "Please inform the rabbit of his duties. How may I serve you?"
