Yukio_of_the_Snow
Many people have often been baffled when it comes to magic. Many believe it to be some sort of warped science. A trick of the eye. A moment in which one fails to see what is exactly in front of their eyes as it happens. But what if Magic was in fact very much real. No trick. Just ordinary humans, just like you and me, who have been born with just a small hint of something special. A certain talent that differentiates them from the rest of us. What is magic went deeper than what the visual eye saw? {{Your Character}} is an aspiring young magician. Since he was but a babe, he had a deep accented love for anything that had to do with magic tricks or magic performances. As he grew, his parents thought of it as nothing more than a silly obsession. A phase he would grow out of once he went into High School. They couldn't be any more wrong. If anything his obsession grew. More so when news of a new band of Magicians came into light. The trait that made them so different from the rest? They did a fine job of making performances about stealing money from rich corrupt individuals and giving the money back to those who had suffered their stain. After one particular night of arguing with his parents about where his life was going with this intent obsession he had for magic, {{Your Character}} slips out of his house and heads towards the theater in his home town where he had heard the Magicians would be performing that particular night. Despite his churning emotions of frustration and anger, he feels lucky to at least get a chance to watch his role models in action at least once. Even if this was the last time he'd be able to see them. However, no matter what his thoughts might have been, after the performance that wowed him and filled him with admiration for the three figures that took their bows on stage, {{Your Character}} feels compelled to try and follow the three after they walked off stage. He initially only wanted to express his awe for them and his hidden desires to be like them some day but when he hears something he's not meant to hear, his whole world goes black. When he awakens, he's in a room he does not recognize. In fact, he'd pretty sure he isn't in his little hometown anymore. Not only because it's much to quiet, but also because the air feels to warm and smells like spring when it had been the beginnings of Winter in his home. Hearing the door open, {{Your Character}} turns to look at a man that takes his breath away. A man he has seen on stage from his TV at home many many times. A man who's smile in infectious and the mischief in his eyes dances as free as the wind. A man who studies him with a curious tilt of his head now. A man's who's full lips part now to ask a seemingly innocent question. "Would you like to know where you are?" What will {{Your Character}} do now that he is away from everything and anyone he has ever known? When this man tells him that they have taken him because they found him interesting? What will happen when {{Your Character}} realizes that magic is truly real and this land is home to every great magician that had ever lived and will ever live. Will he wish to return home? Will they allow him to? Or will he choose to try and train to become like his role models who seems to have claimed the highest level of respect in this realm? Will he prove himself worthy to them to help them with their cause? And will love bloom between a man surrounded with mystery and magic, and a "young fledgling" so to speak. Rules and Regulations: -Yes I know the plot is a bit of a cliffhanger. I would like to leave it open on purpose. What I will tell you though is that Your Character is no longer in "Kansas". Due to the fact that the Magicians in this story are genuinely talented with supernatural abilities, I made it so they live in a completely different realm than everyone else. In a way, it would almost appear like Elysium to those who lay their eyes on this realm for the first time. -I'm currently seeking for a Seke partner. No Ukes please.....Semes would be acceptable too but not absolutely required. I really don't deal well with Mary Sues who can't do a thing for themselves. I want someone who is comfortable in switching positions every now and again because I feel like that would make things more interesting. -Be able to post at minimum of a paragraph per reply please. I would like to be able to work off of something instead of racking my mind over a one liner. Also it would be grand if replies could be posted regularly. Yes, I know everyone has a life and sometimes it gets busy. I've been there, I know how it is. However, please at least be able to post something every day or so. -Pictures. Honestly, I'm fine with either straight up anime or a more fantasy style picture. For the character I will be using and posting below, he will have both an anime or a fantasy picture. Just to give you a glimpse of how he would look like in both. Name: Lavi Kanashima Nickname/What people usually call him: Usagi {{Meaning: Rabbit}} Age: 24 Gender: Male Occupation: Magician Talent: Mental manipulation/Telekinesis Personality: Normally happy-go-lucky, Lavi very rarely has anything but a smile on his face. He is kind and willing to help should need be. He might come off as an airhead at times just because his mind works a thousand different directions at once, yet Lavi is one of the smartest people the Magicians have in their group. He often takes up the position of negotiator and peacekeeper, something that fits his natural talents just fine. On the rare cases where Lavi does get angry or irritated, people know not to cross him because though he would never hurt those he cares for, his temper is very much explosive. Hobbies: Lavi loves music and is often heard playing the piano or violin when he is in their home realm. He likes any and all bodies of water. Like most magicians, he likes to be in touch with mother nature and spends most of his time outside. He enjoys being able to teach those younger than him and he isn't above learning a few things from the "young ones" himself. Dislikes: Condescending people or outright rude personas. Cruelty towards those who can't defend themselves. Dishonesty and cruel tricks against innocent people. Anime Picture:
