I've been doing Role-play for quite a few years and having come across an idea I simply could not refuse to do, I thought I might pitch it here and see if I could get something up and running.

Plot:

 

The setting is an alternate version of Earth, very much like our own except with one key difference. In this world, there is a strange phenomenon known as 'Soul Lanterns', or at least that would probably be a nickname for it. Anyway, the basic concept of this phenomenon is similar to that of the 'red string of fate' idea.

Normally, when people interact with each other, everything is totally normal. However, when somebody meets a certain other person something strange will happen. Both of their chest will glow with a faint but noticeable colored light, one blue, the other red. Scientific research has been unable to really say what causes this to happen, or why it only happens around a certain person. However, studies have shown that this phenomenon is most commonly seen in young adults from 18 and up and that, when these two people find each other, they will fall madly in love and never want to be apart.

In other words, when someone finds their 'soulmate' or 'lantern', their chest will glow, indicating that they have found each other and from there, they will fall in love. This phenomenon is commonly accepted in society, though there are still some issues when the pair are of the same-sex or there are other discrepancies (much like how or society is with these issues).

 

Anyway, cut to modern-day in an American college. Here, for basically the whole year, Character A, a 'jock', has been picking on Character B, the 'nerd'. Character B doesn't know why Character A does it, but all the same he hates Character A for it. On day, when Character A comes to harass Character B again, something strange happens. Their chests glow.

 

And we go from there.

 

Information:

 

Okay, so I'm looking for someone to play the 'nerd'. I don't mind if they are actually a nerd or not, or if they are, what they are nerdy about. I don't mind if they are a uke or a seke (though I would love for this to be a reversible couple!). I don't even mind that much about their personality. What I don't want them to do is suddenly see the glowing chest and start wilting into the bully's arms. I want him to try and fight against his fate, with an internal conflict happening as he fights between his growing feelings for the jock and his own hatred of the jock for what he has done to him before. In other words, I don't want a push-over. Other than that, go crazy. Does he succumb to the mysterious pheromones that the latern light seems to produce? Does he resist? Does he fall in love with the jock for real? What do his friends and family think? All up to you.

 

What I'm looking for in a RP partner:

• Experienced role-player who doesn't only play one role all the time and is open to experimentation.
  
• Someone who can give me good meaty paragraphs when they post and who will take an active role with me in crafting the story, rather than always passively accepting what my character does (I want to make this story with someone, though I can understand if not every paragraph is detailed or that they always take an active role).
  
• Someone who likes the foreplay, dirty-talk, teasing and fluff just as much as they like the raunchy, hardcore sex and doesn't push for sex early-on.
  
• Someone open to experimentation, both in terms of sexual roles and methods. I'm basically open to anything and everything, so just run it by me if you want to do something really kinky later in the story, or indeed, if I'm going outside your comfort zone.
  
• Someone who can post semi-regularly (lie 1-2 times a day or 5 times a week, whatever fits).
