It was too early in the morning for his patience to be tested. He knew his pancakes were dull, but it felt like a personal attack. "Geez, forget I even asked," said Hiroto as he got up to look for the game station. He didn't get an actual answer on whether or not Kou wanted to play, but he didn't have to play against him. Hiroto just wanted to check if it worked, but he did secretly want to challenge his brother. He was extremely competitive when it came to the few things he was good at. He used to race Kou all the time, but would always end up tripping or running into something since he was so clumsy.

"I just realized I don't know as much about you as I thought," he explained while pulling out the wires from a drawer underneath the tv. "Oh, I know!" Hiroto abandoned the wires and turned to face his brother. "I used to play this with the girls I would hang out with. You ask me a question, and I'll answer it as honestly as possible. Then I'll do the same to you. Pretty simple, right?" Hiroto had his hidden motives with the game. He wanted to ask Kou embarrassing questions like when the last time he had a wet dream was. But that could just as easily backfire since Kou was more clever than he was. Plus, he was actually curious about what he didn't know about his brother.

Kou grimaced at his brother straight away at the suggestion, "Pretty simple, yeah, but I'm very sure that game was a method of how you flirted with those girls." All he could picture was Hiroto being in the center of attention, having girls around him ask how big his dick was or what his dirty kinks were. Why was he thinking about that? And with that, what kinds of questions would he be asked? Honestly, Hiro would probably ask him how big his dick was and what his dirty kinks were too. "But since you hopefully aren't going to do that with me, I'll participate." he took the apple juice that was at the side and was about to take a sip before he put it back down and grinned, "By the way, that was your first question. My question for you is..."

He could go either two ways. Ask something rude like he bet Hiro would try to do, or ask actual questions. Just like his little brother, he sort of wanted to know more about him... not too much though. If he listened to too much, he was afraid his brain might rot. "I'll have my question be easy enough. What do cigarettes taste like and why do you like them so much? I think your'e actually addicted to them... I want to know whats so addicting about it, me being a healthy 18 year old male curious to know what slow death tastes like."

Hiroto was kind of disappointed that Kou;s first question involved his terrible habit. He scratched his head while thinking of an appropriate answer and said, "It's a real gross and bitter taste. I get ones with menthol to at least mask the taste with something minty, but when I first tried it, it was just a social thing." He used to go out and make conversation with people by starting off with a "Have a lighter?" It was too awkward to just say a simple hi since Hiroto was more shy than he admitted. Even drinks helped relax him enough to make small talk with the cute girl across the room.

"If I try to go too long without one, I just get real irritated and sick. Sort of like when I don't sleep for too long?" Hiroto felt more uncomfortable the longer he talked about it. The last time he smoked was yesterday and he was already feeling like crap for going so long without one. But he could hold it off for a while longer. "My turn then," he said in an attempt to change the topic. "Do you stitch your name into your underwear?" Hiroto tried his best not to laugh while asking the question since he always pictured his brother with stitched underwear.

He asked because he was in fact curious on what they were like. He thought that it would at least taste like something since so many people had them, but no, it wasn't anything more than it being gross and bitter. And ashy he bet. Kou would never dare put one of those things in his mouth. He almost felt bad for Hiro. He felt bad for him for getting a habit, but then he asked such a stupid question.

"No, I don't actually. Do you know why?" He asked, cocking his head while putting the tray away from him, finishing his breakfast, "I'm the only one of us in this house that regularly washes his own underwear, so I don't need to write my name on it." He was a nerd, but writing his name in his underwear was too clique. "Alright buddy, your turn. How many chicks are you willing to have sex with until you get AIDS like you've always wanted so badly? Don't worry. Just keep telling yourself today will be the day. You'll finally get what you deserve."

Hiroto was surprised, but Kou did make a valid point. He never did the laundry so he never caught a glimpse of what Kou's underpants looked like. He always assumed the tighty-whiteys were his, but it could very well just be their father's. He shrugged his shoulders and continued on with their little game. Kou, of course, had to bring up his sex life. It was weird how much he brought it up. Wasn't it normal for guys to want to have sex? Maybe Kou was just being a jerk, because he was jealous. That made the most sense to Hiroto at least.

"Aww, poor Kou. Could it be that you're upset because your dick never gets any attention?" Hiroto playfully shook his head. "Ideally I would never get such a thing. You're not jealous of me, are you?" Hiroto dared to ask. He was sick and tired of having Kou trying to make him feel bad for having simple fun with a couple girls. There was no way Hiroto could get AIDS, he was too careful with all the fear Kou had put in him about the world of STDs when he was younger.

"What are you talking about? 'Never get such a thing', give me a break. That's what everybody with AIDS has said before they caught it." He folded his arms, feeling the same childish anger he felt before when Hiro said this same thing about being jealous two days ago. "And no. Why would I be jealous of being unfaithful and feral and be at out for health risks and ruin something that's considered priceless? Yeah. I'm a virgin. As if that's actual news to you. I don't care about it, but you know what? The first girl that likes me and finds out I'm a virgin... I'll be treated like a king when it happens I bet."

Kou grinned like a king now, feeling like here wasn't anything Hiroto could possibly say that could contradict what he said... But anyone that knew how Kou was like could respond to that. No girl would truly like him with a personality like his. It wasn't as attractive than being a bad boy like his younger brother and if he actually managed to get a girl that liked him, he wouldn't know how to treat her like a queen in return at all... He only liked talking to people who was on the same level as himself, which would either be a teacher or a speak-and-spell reciting the hard words in a dictionary.

"Sure, that's why all the girls are flocking to you. Being a virgin is all the rage these days." Hiroto laughed off whatever Lou had just said. It was sort of cute to see him try to defend himself with silly comebacks that made no sense. "I bet you wouldn't even know where to start. You'd probably try to kiss the girl and clack your teeth too hard on hers. Maybe end up sending her to the ER afterwards." Hiroto was inexperienced at one point, believe-it-or-not. Some girls did enjoy taking a boy's virginity, but they were girls he could never picture Kou with. He would probably get attached to a really boring girl who was just as boring as him.

"I bet you practice kissing with your pillow late at night," Hiroto said triumphantly as though he had the last say. "Do you have a crush on a girl at school, bet I can get her number way before you ever could. Or maybe I already slept with her?" Hiroto kept pressing his brother's buttons, wondering when Kou would retaliate.

Squinting at his brother and grinding his teeth, he took the closet pillow and went towards his brother, hitting him with it, "I don't have a crush, but if I did, you probably slept with her already because you're such a man-slut." He was knowledgeable in many things. He knew things from solar system all the way to something small like single called organisms. He knew so much about things, all except for anything remotely about having sex or something simple like kissing. It pissed him off more than it should when his brother rubbed it in his face that he didn't know how to do anything Hiroto was probably an expert in.

No girl has ever showed any sort of affection towards him. They saw how he was like and they didn't like what they saw. Sure he had incredible smarts and he wasn't unattractive at all, but the way be brushed off people was so rude. No girl could imagine themselves being the center of attention with Kou like they would want. Kou had so little potential in being a lover that it might actually be years before he gets a real girlfriend. And Hiroto was right. She probably would be dull.

"I knew this game was stupid. Of course it would be just you attacking me for this stupid stuff." He rolled his eyes, trying to keep his lid back on.

"That's a cute name," Hiroto said in response to the insult. "But it's okay, it's a good thing you have a brother like me," Hiroto exclaimed as he pointed his thumb to his chest. He was beginning to sound a lot like Kou, so maybe it wasn't too hard to imagine them as brothers. "You've got all this knowledge on..." Hiroto looked to the textbook Kou held onto earlier and raised a finger, "On DNA and all that nerdy stuff, but nothing on how to even approach a girl." He moved closer to Kou and placed the tray on the floor before sitting down next to him. "You're tutoring me for school, the least I could do is return the favor and tutor you in flirting and all that good stuff."

Hiroto didn't know where he was going with his offer, but it really was pathetic to see his brother being a blatant virgin. Besides, if Kou did manage to get a girlfriend, he might learn to let some of the air out of his head since he was so full of himself. Plus, he knew Kou was always eager to learn something new. But maybe he had standards on what he knew, after all, he wouldn't be able to unlearn whatever Hiroto teaches him. "And if you do manage to get a hold of a girl, I promise to keep away from her," he assured Kou. "So what do you say?"

Kou wasn't on board at all. If he managed to get a girl, who was to say that she didn't find Hiroto more attractive and them go for him instead? He didn't have time for girls! "I'm not sure. As in no." He was quick to dismiss Hiro's offer just as quickly as he refused Kou's offer of tutoring him. "I don't care about girls. They aren't important to me in my life at the moment so..."

He froze in his talking and touched his chin in thought, "...But you'd stop teasing me if I got a girl partner..." Now that was something to think about. Kou couldn't stand being mocked for this. If he got a girlfriend, or at least a friend that was a girl, Hiroto would shut his mouth finally. "Okay. I'll do that then," he turned to his brother and ruffled his hair up before shoving him playfully, "Just you watch how fast I catch on. It'll be more impressive than you saying onomatopoeia for the first time." Unlike his younger brother, he wasn't willing to let 'you got a light?' be his conversation starter. It might be interesting to listen and hear Hiroto try to be a great teacher like himself.

"Great!" Hiroto exclaimed. He was too caught up in his excitement that he forgot about where to even begin. It just started off as a simple idea, and that was all it was to him. An idea. He had no clue on how to execute it, so he went with the first thing he knew. Hiroto rubbed his chin in thought and came to a conclusion. "First things first, if you want to get a girl's attention, you have to look good." He gave Kou a thorough look-over and nodded his head in approval. "Since you're my brother, it's safe to say you fit into that."

"Okay, next you have to learn how to approach a girl. Before you do though, don't stare at them. It creeps them out," he warned Kou from personal experience. "They usually like talking about themselves, so just ask them lot's of questions. And, uhhh, compliment them a lot. You could never go wrong with flattery." Hiroto continued to give Kou dating advice, but really it was all knowledge for picking up girls for flings. Hiroto didn't know the first thing that came with commitment, so he always went for the girls at bars that were there for one night flings. They were never too hurt when he disappeared the next day, but a girl at school could give him hell.

"Any questions?" He asked.

He had to disagree with Hiro's comment about his looks. Kou was born first so technically, it was his looks that passed onto him technically. And more so, some guys were more unattractive than himself, but manage to get girls anyways. To him, so far Hiro's teachings were flawed. Then again, could he really be a judge of that? Nope. Kou slipped off his first impressions and just kept nodding his head, listening to what he was saying.

Kou took the information and computerized it into his brain. Obviously Hiroto was trying to make him be more like him, but that also meant he was actually trying to help him get girls. Kou really couldn't see himself doing any of the things that his brother was telling him. He wasn't specialized in the area of playing girls. "No... I don't," he furrowed his eyebrows and then nodded, "Yes actually. How do you expect me to do any of this and be successful? Are you planning on taking me to one of the bars you spend all your time at or something?" He wold never call himself awkward, but if he were to do any of this, yes. He was sure to be awkward at first and he knew it.

"Oh no," he said as he waved a finger in the air. "Even though you're older than me, you'd stick out like a sore thumb. I haven't been red carded yet, and I don't plan on getting one anytime soon. Plus, I don't think the girls in the bars are your type." Hiroto hummed in thought until he came up with another dumb idea. He could've sworn he recalled a scene like this in a movie or cliche drama, but he was willing to give it a shot. "You can just pretend on me," Hiroto said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Imagine that I'm a cute girl that goes to your school." Hiroto crossed his legs while sitting on his bed and rested his hands in his lap. "How would you approach me?" The dark haired boy hoped his brother picked up well on his teachings, but it would also be a relief if Kou ended up failing miserably. He wouldn't know what to do if Kou somehow became a natural at chatting up girls. It was his specialty, and he needed that crutch to keep Kou from rubbing it in his face that he really was good for nothing. Then again, he could always go back to sports. But, that required effort and he only had so much of that.

"I don't want to approach you pretending to be a girl," he muttered with a grimace on his face. There was no other way he could imagine practicing without having a subject to test on. Reluctantly, he sighed and turned his head away to pinch the bridge of his nose, "This has got to be the most..." There was a variety of ways he could describe what he was doing, but to save his breath, he ended it off at that. "Okay fine. Give me a minute though." A cute girl. A cute girl... Kou didn't even know what his type was.

Glasses were cute... he guessed... It shows a factor of intelligence. Not really though... It's false to assume all people with glasses were smart. Kou had perfect vision for example. What else then... "Wait. Just wait." He squeezed his eyes shut to try and help picture a girl. I haven't met any girl that I've found attractive... He realized now that he was forced to think about it.

He couldn't think about this for himself, so he just pictured one of the popular girls from his grade. Classic brown hair with brown eyes and a nice smile. She borrowed a pencil from him once and never gave it back, which was unattractive... Kou shook his head remembering that. He was thinking too much over this. Looking back at Hiroto, he scooted closer, "Good morning... How are you?" He couldn't look his broker in the eyes because then his image of a girl would be ruined, "Did you do your hair? It looks extra nice today."

(I'm really sorry for disappearing again.)

Hiroto twindled with his thumbs in his lap, not sure what to make of his brother's reactions. When Kou closed his eyes, he wondered just what perfect girl he was projecting onto his imagination. When he finally opened his eyes to speak to him, Hiroto straightened his back. "Hello-" His voice was too low for a girl he thought, so he coughed into his hand to correct himself. "Hello," he finally said after raising his voice just a bit higher. It sounded forced and Hiroto tried to hide it with a sweet smile. "I'm doing good." He moved his nimble fingers to his shoulders where his imaginary locks of hair would have rested before giving them a twirl.

"Thank you, but I didn't actually. I just take real good care of it is all." Hiroto chirped before letting out a giggle. It was definitely a cringe inducing scene, but Hiroto pictured it as a genuine scenario. Hiroto decided to keep onto the topic of hair and looked over at Kou's. It was a light brown like their fathers, only his looked much more softer. "I like your hair too," Hiroto continued in his awful imitation of a girl's voice, "It looks real soft... Can I touch it?"

(its ok! I hope everything is okay for you~ )

Hearing his brother talk like that almost made him break out of his training just to laugh at him... But it did made him smile at least, which helped the appearance that he was doing a good job at this. His image of talking to a girl wasn't getting any stronger at all with Hiro's attempt at raising his voice, though the mental image in his head wasn't much good to begin with. It really got him wondering if he was even attracted to anybody at all. It could be that being inside for too long has ruined his brain in some form... That's a thing, isn't it?

If it weren't for the fact that people have tried to touch his hair for real, he would have stopped the acting and ask why the hell Hiro wanted to touch his hair. Kou knew his hair was soft, but the desire to touch other people's hair was beyond his comprehension. Dogs and cats were meant for petting, and Kou was neither a dog nor cat. The brunet bowed his head down a bit, "Uh... Yeah, why not?" Kou chuckled weirdly, taking Hiro's hand and putting it on top of his head. Was this really a kind of flirting? It felt degrading to lower his head to another person. Treating a girl like a princess was what this was, but honestly... "Is its soft as you thought? Everyone at school tries to touch it sometimes."

(Oh yeah, I was just real busy. I got my cpr training done though! *thumbs up*)

"It really is soft..." Hiroto wanted to keep his hand there to play with it some more, but he guessed it really was insulting to do that to his brother. He was sure Kou was creeped out by his random request, but he must have thought it was all part of the simulation. If anything, Hiroto was only looking for excuses to touch his brother, not sure why any form of contact with the boy would bring him comfort. Just the though sickened him, but it wasn't anything malicious he thought. It was like getting a kiss on the cheek from his mother when they were younger, it warmed his heart.

"Did you let them touch it, or am I special?" Hiroto asked with doe eyes. Knowing Kou, he definitely kept to himself. Anyone who would try to land a hand on him would probably get an hour lecture on personal space, or so that was what he imagined. Hiroto moved his hand away from Kou's head, but kept his grip on his hand, noticing they were soft as well, like a girl's. He also noticed how his heart was racing as well, but it must have been because he was just nervous.

(Thats good to hear!! Because........ you constantly take my breath away....)

"No..." He looked up with a small smile, "I don't allow just anyone to get close to me like that. You're special." Kou wasn't over thinking like he might have about still holding his brother's hand. It was still a... simulation if you may! If it was anyone else trying to hold his hand, he'd immediately separate them. Hand to hand contact with people at school weren't his thing, but his brother? They've known each other ever since Hiro was born. He can easily hold his hand in a non-aggressive way like this. Kou did notice that Hiro's hand was warm and getting clammed up. Was he nervous? What for? Kou should be the one getting nervous. He was the one talking to a 'girl' for the first time.

Looking into his younger brother's eyes, he was seeing less of a girl there and it being actually his brother just trying to sound like a girl and be his test dummy. If Kou were truly seeing Hiroto as a girl, this would be less effective... This was something stupid to do, which would be great for getting them close together actually. Nothing said close like holding hands and flirting with your sibling. "And actually, I was wondering if you'd mind us getting closer. I like you and I'd love to hang out with you sometime."

(Ohoho, I'm flattered  How'd your weekend go?)

Hiroto ignored his brother's words, since they were for some fake imaginary girl and not for him. He had to let go of his brother's hand to wipe his own hands on his shorts. Were his hands always so clammy? Oh wait, that was his own sweat. Hiroto patted Kou on the shoulder now that his throat was tightening up from overexerting it. Talking in a high pitch for so long was not one of his talents, so he decided to end the lesson prematurely. "Oh yes!" He said, continuing his little charade. "I'd like to meet up again sometime soon." Hiroto pretended to scribble a note on his hand before shoving the imaginary card to his brother.

When he was finally done, he leaned back to let out a sigh. "That wasn't so bad," he said in his normal voice now, though it was a little more raspy than usual. "I don't get why people avoid you, or vice versa," he said genuinely confused. His brother surprised him by doing better than he had initially imagined, but Kou was clever like that he guessed. Maybe it really was just because his brother didn't appreciate the company of others as much as he did. Though completely isolating himself in his room with just him and his books was just... Unhealthy? Then again, Hiro was the one smoking and drinking on a regular basis.

"Anyways," he said while standing up. "I guess that's it for today's lesson, unless you have something else you want to cover." He was ready to kick Kou out for feeling nauseous with the butterflies in his stomach, but he took it as him craving for his much delayed smoke. The last time he had picked up one of the death sticks was the other day really early in the morning.

(Chill, pretty chill! I went out for a nice walk and then I also severely burned my tongue on coffee x'D I couldn't taste anything until the next day lolol)

As soon as Hiro broke and ended his acting, he sighed too. Yeah, he could not imagine doing that to a real girl. Not only would that be faking his actual personality, Kou felt like being so nice to a girl he didn't actually like would increase his irritability. And he didn't like any girls so that spelled out that things would go sour fast if he tried flirting out in the field. "I avoid people because I'm not interested in them," he wiped his damp hand onto Hiro's bed, "That already got me tired... So no. There's nothing else I'd like to cover with you right now." Kou didn't want to really know what the next lesson might entail. It'll be eithr embarrassing for him, for Hiro or the both of them and the brunet could only handle so much.

Kou chuckles as he got up from the bed, the sight of his brother trying to act like a girl coming back into mind. He stopped chuckling and looked at Hiroto and started chuckling again, "Oh and by the way Hiro..." he said in the door, "I couldn't actually think of a girl at the top of my head so all I was seeing was you and yourself talking like a girl with bronchitis." Smirking at him a bit, he left quickly and closed up the door. He forgot to take his textbook.

What he could do when he got back in his room was take out his book and keep reading but... after his struggle to envision a girl he found attractive, he wanted to do something else actually. Hiroto always joked that he jacked off to his books, but Kou never did anything like that to himself at all. Dreams at night got to him before, but not only could he not remember what the dream was even about, he didn't think of anything specific when he had to relieve himself. That was normal for some people right? Kou didn't know, because he never went into that kind of knowledge.

"What? Get the hell out!" Hiroto yelled with a grin that matched his brother's on his face. With how terrible his acting was, it was no wonder why he didn't get a lead role in the plays he took part in as a child. He crossed his arms and watched Kou exit his room, giving him the space he needed to cool down. Before he went to turn off his room's light, he noticed Kou's textbook lying on the floor where he left it. Curiosity, of course, got the best of him and he picked it up to flip through.

It appeared to be a simple biology textbook, but to Hiroto it was anything but simple. Just what the heck is cyto-kinesis? He didn't bother to read through the rest, but instead looked at the pictures. He then flipped back to the cover where he saw Kou's name written ever so neatly. His own handwriting was nothing more than chicken scratch that had teachers complaining about how illegible it was. He traced his fingertips across the letters, but paused at the name they shared. Ichikawa.

Despite being siblings, they were polar opposites. And yet, he felt more attracted to him than any other person he could think of next to his mother. He was too overwhelmed with feelings of loneliness that even all the girls in the world could never hope to fix it. But Kou could remedy it just by merely being in the same room as him, and it made him so nervous. But what made him the most anxious was the dream he had following that night. He awoke to a pair of wet boxers and a chilling realization that he had just dreamed of his brother in the worst way possible.

Besides having a great morning that that, dare he say, with his brother, he was more than just disappointed after spending time with his laptop and his headphones. He's seen porn before and it was only effective the first time his twelve year old self found it, but never went into it again afterwards. Women moaning, the sounds of heavy breathing, the dirty sights that reflected blankly in his eyes... none of that did a thing for him. Doubling on that when he tried moving himself to his bed, all the sounds did for him was put him to sleep after a while. There was just nothing stimulating to him about people he didn't know having fake sex. No real girl was as beautiful as a porn star. No guy on the planet can be as skilled as a porn star, well, maybe his brother only because he's been with so many girls, he couldn't even count the number of them anymore. There was nothing real about it to him, nothing that made him feel anything.

This he was sure of wasn't normal... what was wrong with him then? He was intelligent. He was going to get a great paying job. He was going to have a wife. And live happily. That's how it was supposed to be. Kou didn't want Hiroto to be right when he said he'd live alone forever. How sad would it be to have all that money and have nobody else around him? Mom was gone, their dad was clearly showing how he doesn't want two boys to care for anymore and his brother was going to... he was going to do whatever he was going to do, Kou didn't even know.

When he woke up after that night, early as he usually was, he stayed in bed, festering in his thoughts. Well. Okay. So he couldn't get hard from watching porn. And he didn't find girls sexually attractive to him. It must be only a phase. Every guy had his own times to shine, didn't they? He just needed his own time eventually. He'll be fine... he'll live the normal life he was meant to, just as it was written in the starts.

As if his natural instinct to be on top just came onto him normally, Kou went to make breakfast. Pancakes and eggs like Hiro had done, but he put blueberries into the pancakes and made the eggs extra fluffy with the right amount of salt and pepper on it, as well as dicing some ham in it to be like a scrambled omelet. All of his pancakes looked the same, being the same in width and all nearly having the same circumference, an unintentional detail that just happened to be something that always was the case with his pancakes. When he was done making that, he set the table in a lazy way, his thoughts still troubled even after reassuring himself, and sat himself down. Kou cleared his throat at called out to Hiroto, "Hiiro! Breakfast!" He didn't care if Hiroto was still sleeping or not. He normally woke up at the smell of cooking in the first place and if he didn't come after a few minutes, he'd just have to go in there and wake him up manually.

Eyes open immediately to the call of his name. Hiroto rubbed his eyes and sat up before tossing his blanket aside. Looking in the mirror hanging on his wall, he saw dark circles that summarized the events of his night. When he woke up a couple of hours ago, he had sneaked over to the washroom to clean his boxers. After that, he struggled to go back to sleep out of worry about what his next dream could entail.

He patted the back of his head when the hair from his cowlick stood up and dressed up in his school's black button up uniform. He kept the jacket unbuttoned as usual and entered the kitchen with Kou's textbook in hand. When he entered the kitchen to see his brother's back to him, he felt his breath catch. If only it was easy to forget a dream as ridiculous as the one he had last night. He hoped his acting skills were better than they were yesterday as he placed the textbook on the dining table next to Kou.

"You left this in my room," he said dryly before sitting down at the table. If he focused on something other than his brother, he might be able to make it out of this awkwardness soon enough he thought. He kept his eyes on the food and noticed how much more elegant his brother's cooking looked compared to his. He took note on adding fruit to the pancakes as well as how eggs are supposed to look when cooked properly. He continued to eat, but his actions were much more slower than usual. Hiroto was never a morning person, which would explain why he always preferred the night. But this morning was even slower than usual, which made him dread what the rest of the day could have in store for him. Now that he thought about it, he would actually attend class. Just the thought made him forget how great the pancakes tasted.

"Breakfast was great," he said with his eyes still on his plate. He only managed to eat half of the plate before he started feeling that awful sensation of butterflies in his stomach. "I'm going to go ahead, I'll meet you at the end of school," he said with a rush while standing up. Grabbing his bag, he hurried out of the front door, noticing the driveway being empty as usual. The day already seemed bleak for Hiro, but nothing could make it worst, right?

Kou watched his brother leave with the expression of confusion lighting his face. Blueberry pancakes and Hiro just leaves without finishing his plate? His younger brother looked... troubled, actually. The reason for it, he couldn't know because first off, he already left. And two, because he wouldn't actually ask anyways since it most likely wasn't any of his business. Kou stayed out of Hiroto's problem filled life most of the time except only recently because the situation called for it, he wasn't just about to pretend he cared about the inside drama between Hiro and his friends.

Eating there alone, he throught less and less of some simple thing being the case. He never looked like that unless something was actually wrong. He wouldn't even look at him. None of my business still, I bet. Calm down. he told himself, soon finishing his plate and going to take it back to the sink to clean, tossing away Hiro's leftovers... Was he scared to going back to school maybe?

Stop thinking about it.

Sighing heavily and splashing up some of the cold sink water into his face, he tried to get back the proper mindset of the morning, which was focusing on getting everything he needed into his bag, going through the rest of his routine and leaving this quiet house on time and on the dot. The last thing Kou did in the house was put the text book into his bag and recheck to see if his keys were in his bag. He thought about how happy the counselor would be to see Hiroto back in school. She might actually hug him because that's the kind of person she just was, trying to be everyone's friend. It was funny how she understood Kou didn't like contact with others, yet she was so open to touching him and hugging him all the time. She wasn't special. He wanted her to stop acting like his close friend before he got physically ill the heavy perfume she wore so much.

He was supposed to go see her before the first class, but Kou actively decided to forget she said that. All he wanted to do was sit down and class and do what he does best... Outshine all the other students in the curriculum. The day would go by smoothly, he'll get in some tutoring for Hiro, he planned on ordering food for tonight as well so they can relax after finishing work.

As if the acting from yesterday triggered something in the universe, girls from the class bothered him and kept running their hands through his hair without permission. What made it so fun to do this? Hey, it wasn't bullying exactly because they actually thought he liked having girls around him, but he really wished he could just roll up some paper and squat the flies around him. This was further proof that he didn't like anyone touching him. He kept trying to hide his head away with a somewhat sickly look in his eyes, only Hiroto was allowed to do this. Ruffling his hair on those rare occasions and then the thing from yesterday... No wonder he was okay with Hiro doing it. Because he never bothered him about it so much.

Hiro was probably going to still act weird, but he'd rather get to that fast than be around the flocks of people he didn't like.

His shoes were dragging on the concrete as he walked up the hill leading to his class. Hiroto covered his face with the palms of his hands and sighed. He thought about how he could keep himself awake during class as he ignored the chatter coming from the other students walking up the hill next to him. He could just read his textbook to catch up with his peers since whatever his teacher would lecture them on would be far out of Hiroto's reach. He remembered to bring the textbook Kou lent him as well as his journal. Knowing how much Kou cared for his books, he was careful to put a cover on the book as to not scratch or bend the covers.

When he entered the building, he immediately moved up the stairs as he always did. The roof was open as usual and he pulled out his pack of cigarettes, placing one of them firmly between his lips before lighting it. It had been too long since his last smoke, so he instantly felt lightheaded after the first few puffs. But it would certainly help him through the day he thought. He looked down at the cancer stick and saw he already burned out a quarter of it. So he snuffed it out and placed it back into his pack. If he really wanted to quit, he had to gradually cut himself off from it, so keeping it to one cigarette a day could work he thought.

When he walked down the steps from the roof, he moved through the hallways and stopped short of his classroom. He inhaled sharply before opening the door and navigated to his assigned seat in the center of the classroom. He remembered always wanting to sit by the window, so he at least had something to distract him when the class got too boring, but with his shit luck, of course he had to be placed right smack in the center. At least he had a great view of the blackboard, but it didn't matter since they were chapters ahead of him.

Class eventually started and when he rose for attendance, he had his teacher congratulate him. Any attention from the class instantly made his ears turn red, but he continued to work diligently in the time he was in the classroom. He was able to work through a couple of chapters as well as catch on to what the teacher was currently lecturing on. With how busy he was, he didn't even manage to grow bored enough to sleep.
