GingerCake Posted February 18, 2016 Share Posted February 18, 2016 Here is some of my thoughts now. First of all, I hope that everyone just calmed down and wait for the uncut version. They will released it or else it is a waste of effort in filming those scenes, they can just skipped it. And those scenes are important in the development of relationship between GH & BLY in the novel, CJD as the author and also the producer, I don't think she would like to ruined her own work in her hands. Be rational and be understanding to this situation, they've to follow their regulation there, or else this series will get banned. Previously, there are also some Chinese BL-themed series/shows are encountering the same situation as well, so, Addicted is just one of the victims now. There is nothing to be so surprise of it, though it's a bit of upsetting for sure. And I'm glad that they are not giving up while facing all of these obstacles and difficulties, if not, Addicted, such a good BL-series would not exist now. And to some speculation out there claiming that this is their marketing strategy in boosting up the DVD sales, I don't think this is reasonable because once the DVD was released, there are many people out there will upload it on the net as well, everyone still can watch it. Last but not least, though there is some little disappointment for sure just now, it's just for a little moment. I love this series not because of those xxx scenes, but the story itself is nice and the actors are really good in carrying their roles. We all here want substance just as much as we want these scenes and their pivotal circumstances which contribute to the development of the story... And because of terrific performance and chemistry between actors. As of DVD, it's doubtful it'll have english subtitles, which I'd imagine cost money. I plan to make transcripts of it- preferably from J-Chan's channel because it's not hardsubbed and I wouldn't want to type everything all over again. And of course, English being my mother's tongue, I would make corrections to spelling and grammatical errors. Then send everyone the softsubs so you can watch your own DVD with ease. Now, I don't know how the episodes run from a DVD set, as I never owned one before. I don't know whether to treat this as a film, rather than web series. Are they going to be continuous or just like the webseries, intro+ending each episode? (man that'd be annoying...) So I'd imagine timing takes more time. Also we might need chinese translators for the cut scenes parts!! If anyone is willing to help with it, then I'll make a request to create a group and reward you with translator badge. Just like CA, it is also a project of CJD which has some cuts and was only available on DVDs. Im already used to it anyways, since it happened also on Like Love movie/drama. kmontsy Posted February 19, 2016 Share Posted February 19, 2016 now that my frustrations from the cuts of episode 11 subsides, as I review the scene regardless of the language barrier... well, it wasn't that bad after all, maybe i was expecting too much did i react that way hahaha, anyway, it was such an angelic scenery when BLY walks home as he reminisces their moments with the tune of teresa teng's song, it was sad yet beautiful, tears sparkle behind his bambi eyes, that was the first time BLY uncovers his not-distant-at-all feelings towards gu hai, he let us in for a while, a sign of his attachment for their "relationship".. he actually misses gu hai (yay!)... and that moment when bly's dad wanting gu hai to go back with them despite of what the truth has prevailed... heartwarming and then the kidnapping segment... hahaha... BLY was riding to Gu hai's bike down on the street until the kidnappers comes in... then when during the hand cuffs and blind folds scene... damn it was feisty! and (please pardon me) those two dorky friends of gu hai were like... meh:cuteonion55: hahaha too much for the intended pun, I honestly enjoyed the 2nd time I watched episode 11, I was moved, I was so into them...hahahaha... BLY really has a very soft spot for gu hai... I only have one question... how the earth revolves when your actual kidnapper who's happened to be a bad guy indeed, is actually your lover and you silently love him back... what would u feel, if the same thing happens to you? sue him? call him names? curse him? hahaha...
