Hi guys, I just signed up for this very series days ago, really enjoy reading through all the discussion here.

At this very dark time for all Addicted fans as this whole series has been taken down by China's media regulatory agency, I would like share a positive news about Season 2, Chaijidan, who is the author and the boss of the company that made Addicted once said, "I will definitely make Season 2 with the same cast unless I die", that's the determination of a person that really love her work and yaoi, hope this can help you cope the disappointment and sadness after the bad news.

I'd love that too, but I heard it's very difficult to understand unless you're from Beijing. I've seen them posting novel parts on weibo and asked for clarifications. Although they did translate some parts here and there but I prefer to read the whole novel in one go!

yep.... and I thought I was being paranoid....

I knew I was right. And why? I'm pretty sure Addicted has been cancelled due to uncut version. and it is causing devastating effects... I knew it was not worth the risk at all..... I mean was the cut of what... 3 seconds kiss worth the slaughter of this drama? Could you fans (chinese) just frickin' wait for the DVD?

 

Update: They will still sell the DVDS

 

We need to set up fundraising for Chai Jidan. Who is with me???

I just want to see their story unfold now. Im ok without the full versions, the acting and the chemistry is just sooo good and natural. Its literally watching 2 strangers and their characters become closer both on screen and off screen. From their first meeting as actors (in a bts video) to how they are now all touchy and cute at fan meetings.

Ok.... so when I was getting all angry a month ago expecting all this will end badly it was not for nothing... Yep! GREAT!!!! ..... And I guess I was also right when saying it was still too early to be relieved about the "official youtube channel thing"....

 

And to say that all that shit is happening probably because some people made such a mess for a mere few seconds of kissing... it's not even the full uncut version!!!!!! Couldn't they just wait?!!!!! Thank you all the info on the storyline and the novel, from what I can gather by Gu Hai drunk as on the couch and carried back to the bed that must be there make up scene following the rape. Its disappointing and partially confusing on these two, because Gu Hai loves him to the point of obsession (hence the title really addicted heroin), but I am not sure of LouYin if its the acting or the character. Its wrong what Gu Hai did dont get me wrong, and Gu Hai is aggressive in his persuit so there is no room for LouYin to approach really only keep him at bay.

 

But he is giving mixed signals to Gu Hai, gets told he is interested, ignores it, gets told by Gu Hai himself how he feels, ignores it, he doesnt let him close, then does, then does, then doesnt. No wonder he is going crazy. But damn those actors are so cute.

 

Spoiler information wanted here if someone can help?

 

A. Does volume 1 end at the accident? where does the relationship stand at the end of that?

B. Does much time pass between the rape and the accident?

C If they are very much in love and i think it was said somewhere that he even finally says the L word, why do they seperate for like 8 years.

 

Sounds like this is so drawn out, i wonder if you can even buy the complete english version of this book somewhere, i really want to get through reading this and get to the when they are in a relationship and how they get about deciding to get married. Three 3 season if they have the actors and the public interest is still like 3 years to wait for the ending.

Well, she could set up Kickstarter or Patreon or something like that, then we can support her.

 

Mathematically, last eps. 12 in China Huache's Youtube channel has 100,000+ viewers. If she use KS to sell DVDs at £50 and 10% of the viewers will back the project, she will get £500,000. I am not sure that amount is sufficient or not to cover production cost, though.

For those who don't understand how YT revenue works, the creators get paid based on audience 'interactions'. This means you have to like or comment on the videos. BUT a big chunk of the revenue comes from the ADS. So don't skip the ads on their official YT channel. If you have Adblock, you can put them on whitelist. The way, the ads still show (only for the channels you put on whitelist). I don't know how much the revenues from YT will help the producers financially but at least, in our own little way, we can help them. Thanks!

I think they were kind of expecting it that's why they uploaded the episodes on YouTube. I guess that's their Plan B. What I appreciate most about them is that they can actually ask YT to take down the uploaded episodes with eng subs since they own the copyright. But they don't do that. It tells me they also care a lot about the international fans.
