So i just watched episodes 13-15 and i have to say, cut scenes aside, everything was amazing. Im glad we got the episodes and yes lots of cut scenes but we can all find the bts scenes for those until the full episodes are released.

 

My thoughts, i love that GuHai is the pushy, jealous and over protective type. He fits perfectly with Bai Louyins stubbornness. All their interactions are so cute and i find that Louyin smiles a lot more towards GuHai and is a lot warmer to him in these episodes. Wifey mode is on guys!!!!!

 

So many cockblocks in these episodes... First yangmeng , then guhais cousin, then louyins mom ... Like gtfo woman the boys just want to rub hot bodies together! And lastly Louyins exgirlfriend! Tbh u get more of a threat from her than Guhai's lulu. She feels like she would cling to Louyin and try to charm everyone around her (she is the enemy!!!)

 

As soon as we saw her standing at the door.. All i thought is girrrrlll you are going to die, GuHai is literally going to shave your head and murder you. And as soon as she sat down, i thought ... Well you just sealed your fate.

 

Really hoping for season 2 with the same cast, this show is too good to end with just 1 season. Like DjKhaled says "They dont want you to succeed!"

I have no idea if he'll be able to understand it but I wanted to share it with you guys because it explains exactly how I feel about this series:

Just a message of support from an international fan. You're the only one from the cast and crew I can reach so I hope you can let everyone know how much we love and support your show. As a happily married gay man (married to a guy) I love how this show supports acceptance of gay people as real human beings who love and suffer just like everyone else. I have had my share of doing crazy things for love so I totally understand Gu Hai's obsession. At the same time I can see a deep and real love between the characters that is very heartwarming. Gu Hai reminds me very much of my husband and I am a lot like Bai Lu Yin. I want to let you guys know that your international fans will support you 100% in continuing filming of the novel. We will buy the DVDs, we will even help support you financially through donations if that is possible. We all want to see the happy ending at the end of the novel! We do hope the cast and crew stays the same. Chai Jidan is amazing and her vision really helps the show stay true to the novel. You and Wei Zhou are perfect together too. One more thing - I am a Filipino fan and we ourselves have to deal with homophobia. We have an internationally renowned boxer (Manny Pacquiao) who just said gay people are "worse than animals." He is running for senator and will probably win. At first I thought this was mainly a religious issue but I guess it is more about those in power wanting control over their citizens. My husband and I got married in South Africa and we're hoping to build a life together in the states where we will be accepted and legally recognized. But we still hope that eventually the whole world will be more accepting of us as human beings. This really starts with changing the hearts and minds of regular people, which is why your show is so important.

Lastly, I had the chance to visit Beijing once in the winter and it was very beautiful. But I have never wanted to learn Mandarin Chinese until now because of your show. I want to understand everything firsthand and I want to finally be able to read Chai Jidan's novel! All the best

We can't go against the 'government'. We can only try. XD Things being as they are, the most we can do is show our support by:

1. Subscribing to the official YT channel since that's the new platform that they use now for the remaining episodes. (You'll find the link to their official YT channel in prev posts.)

2. Watching, liking AND commenting on the Addicted episodes on their official YT channel. This is so that they can generate revenue from audience engagement.

3. DO NOT skip the ads when you watch the episodes on their official YT channel. That's where most of the revenue comes from.

4. Post words of encouragement for the actors, the whole team, most importantly the PRODUCERS in all platforms that they use -- YouTube, Weibo, FB, etc. It would be best if we do this on their official channels. The team behind Addicted reads the comments on all the platforms. Our posts will let them know how popular the series is and will encourage them not to give up on Season 2. It will also let the producers know that Season 2 is WORTH making if they see that the series is more popular that they expected.

5. I'm a bit hesitant about the Kickstarter campaign but if someone can pull that off, please go ahead. My only suggestion is to coordinate with the producers or the official Addicted team. This is to ensure that all the proceeds will go to what they were intended for. A lot of people will donate if there's an OFFICIAL announcement from the official Addicted team about the campaign.

 

Lastly, don't spread rumors. Rumors can only create a negative impact and complicate an already critical situation the series is currently in. Let's all hope for the best.

I was wondering though, how cold is winter in China? Because the actors only used thin school jacket uniform and pants, and at home they also only used jumper (and even sleep in shirt!) without heater (at least in Yin Zi's house; Gu Hai's is much better house). I'm not sure how cold it is, but from watching all those BTS, I can feel it's very cold for them, and we can see they are exhaling vapour while talking. onion5

Well, I did not understand a word, but the scene before the bed scene made me wondering...

 

The ex b*tch calls (even her voice is so annoying I had to fast forward it because I could not listen to it anymore) and well BLY seems to be shaken while and after the conversation. Then he grabs GH, puts him on the bed and climbs on top of him. But it all looks like BLY is just looking for comfort after his ex bf was emotionally harassing him on the phone and he just wants to get the whole thing out of his system and it is less about being with GH. Maybe it sounds cruel and it is just me who has this feeling about it, but I expected this scene to be different... I also didn't read the novel so I don't know what went through BLY's head and what does he really feel at that very moment. Any thoughts?

Btw the music in ep 15 was amazing. The scene where louyin finishes a call with his annoying ex gf and then goes to find his true bae, and carries his drunk ass to bed ... The song lyrics matched so well.

ETA: Supposedly the kiss in this scene was ad-libbed? Any idea of this is true? Because if it is my ship will pretty much take flight into the stratosphere...

 

Gosh, this series is just so special and it's like the stars aligned with the writing, quality of production, the actors and THEIR CRAZY CHEMISTRY. There's a reason why it's captured so many heart and I feel so privileged to have watched these two beautiful characters grow in love and appreciation towards each other.

 

Even without all the skinship scenes, it's still so wonderful to watch them because their love is built on friendship, caring and emotional intimacy.

 

I haven't been so addicted to a show in sooooooooo long and I consistently watch kdramas, jdramas, cdramas etc. It's very dear to my heart honestly and so are our two sweethearts. I've fallen head over heels in love like that wasn't obvious already ha. I'm also addicted to Johnny and Weizhou in particular and hope they become very successful as actors. This is their unexpected big break that many actors pray and hope for, honestly!

BLY never indicated a touch and even though they are sort of in a relationship he still pushes GH away most of the time, but then suddenly out of nowhere when the ex calls he climbs on top of GH and kiss the hell out of him(and he doesn't stop there)? First it did not make sense, that's why I thought he is totally out of himself... and my other guess was that maybe this was the first time he compared SH and GH. SH says on the phone that she is missing him on Xmax Eve and wants to be with him and when he hangs up the phone on her and sees GH sleeping on the couch, he realises he is exactly there where he wants to be, with the right person and then without realizing he acts out controlled by his feelings... even though in his head there's a mess, but he still can't stop his actions, can't stop his feelings. Okay, I am going to stop over analyzing it now

 

So I am happy he tells SH later that he has someone he likes.

 

And thanks for the 'stairs-info' as well. That's why I'd like to read the novel one day, these little details are so sweet and you understand the characters more. I am really hoping that there will be S2. On their official YT website they state it is in progress and we should look out for updates. Won't give up hope!

I KNOW!!! Exactly what I'm thinking when I look at it... and I tell you, I can't get enought of it even now xDD. And you can also see Zhou's pulling Johnny against him just before he lift his head for another kiss....aaaaaaaaaa...and the way they're touching each other....aaaaaaaaaaaaa.

And Yep! It was toally ad-libbed. At first Chai Jidan didn't plan any kiss in this scene but they ad-libbed it. They said in an interview they were just following the feeling there

I totally know what you mean because I watch often kdrama, jdrama and cdrama too. And I must admit there haven't been many shows who got me really hooked, only a few, but ADDICTED is definitely the first that got me so obsessed... I just love EVERYTHING about this show.

All the team members put their efforts into making this show something great and we all can see they've done very well. They deserve great success. And it's why it's even more frustrating to have to put up with all this administration shit....
