Name: Touko Hirashino

Age: 24

Hair: Black

Eyes: Rusty orange

Personality: Having a hard time trusting people, something about him that has gone on ever since he was a child, he prefers to be around his creations rather than his acquaintances and family. Most of his emotions are only ever on display for the things he creates as well. Compassion, love and gentleness all went into them, the things in life that could not ever give it back to him as real human emotions. Its a shame how such a good person only chose to be himself with soulless things.

Bio: From fixing broken toys as a kid to creating many types of machines as an adult, Touko has always had an interest in things that had gears inside and chips. When he was a child, he overheard his mother and father talking about him. Saying how he was troubled and he was going to grow up wrong and grow up being a nobody, Touko was deeply hurt. They always encouraged him to be himself and to do what he loved, which was to fix and invent. From then on out, the boy shut off his colors to other people, unable to trust where the hearts were of human being... Because of this, his love grew even stronger for machines. Machines didn't have hearts, they couldn't lie and they're purpose was to please. He started to make ones more human-like, but his first ended up in storage. Not only was it constantly bugging and messing up simple tasks, he felt like it looked to realistic for him. Just like an actual human... From then on out, he made androids with less human characteristics, each one he made got better and better until he was recognized for his work. People paid millions of dollars for his models of androids and from his pay, he got a giant house isolated from people. He's always alone except for two lone maids, but he constantly visits his first android, which instead of throwing it away, he kept it. Attached to each and every one of his works, he couldn't bring himself to take it apart or scrap it.

"Master, one of the roses in the garden died... Master?" A very small robot with the voice of a little girl walked though the empty, quiet halls of the huge house while holding the dead red rose in it's steel hands, looking for her creator. The voice might fool someone who didn't know that the house was filled with more robots than actual human beings, let alone a little girl. The voice belonging to that body had no face, only a blank slate with a blue light under the sleek, hard white material... She was made to help with the garden, the small hands of the robot necessary for gently tending the flowers in front of the house and in the back.

Touko would normally be found in his workshop, but he was in the dining hall with one of his more advanced models of machinery to help it learn a few things about service. At the dining table, there was a heap of books. "Make sure to balance correctly. Balance..." he told the robot, who held two silver pates with heavy books on it to resemble plates of food, "Now walk around the room and each time around, put another book on top of the others." The robot here was also faceless, but the light of this one was yellow. It nodded and looked down and back up before doing as it was commanded. Touko's attention went to the small robot, crouching as she came closer, "What's wrong Hinata?" He asked, patting her head.

"When I checked the garden, this one was dead. Don't worry, Master, the others are okay though." It looked at the flower and handed it over to the man, "I'm sorry." The poor thing sounded hurt.

"Its okay, things die sometimes. There's many things that could of happened, so it's not your fault," taking the rose, he put it on the table and smiled at her, "You can plant a new one there. It'll be sure to grow fast with you taking care of it... How about you plant something new when youre done with that? You like poppies don't you?"

The small robot's light turned pink while she nodded and sounded happier, "You're right, Master, I do like poppies! I can plant them wherever I want? Is that really okay?"

Standing back up and keeping his eyes on the other robot, he smiled, "You're the only one I trust for my entire garden. I trust your expertise to the fullest. Now, go on Hinata. I'm helping Gyo right now."

"Yes, Master, okay! Thank you!" Hinata went off to the garden, passing the serving android and waving her arm, "Good luck, Gyo!"

The taller robot looked down at her, acknowledging what she said, but not saying anything. Sadly, Gyo wasn't able to speak, as requested by the buyer of this model... Touko didn't like taking away the ability to speak for his robots. It was taking away a valuable necessity for communication. It was as if the person buying Gyo only wanted him for it's services... The longer he spent helping this robot tweak it's skills, the more he was questioning if he should give Gyo away or not. There would be no issue refunding the money, but it made him look bad if he suddenly backed out of the trade.

"You're doing good there," he told the android, checking his watch to check the time, "Your new master said he would come later tonight. Plenty of time for you to enhance your skills. Don't be nervous okay?" Gyo looked at Touko with the light becoming brighter, but losing its focus, it bumped into a chair and the books fell down. It's light faded down and it made low beeps as if it said sorry. "Its fine," he laughed, "Pick them up and just keep working at it. I'm going to be back soon, okay?" Gyo nodded as it bend down to pick up the books.

Touko left the dining hall to go visit a different kind of model. His very first one to be exact... Parting with his creations was one of the hardest things to do for the man, even if this one was... different. It was too real for him to be comfortable with and it had too many bugs in it for him to want to keep going with the project. It just sat in the basement storage and if it weren't for him going down there so often, it would be collecting dust.

Going downstairs, he took out the keys to the basement door from his pocket, unlocking the door and entering quietly. It felt strange being in here as if something was off. For that reason, he closed the door behind him and looked around suspiciously. The storage area was large and had large shelves holding spare tools, spare parts and so many other things. Upon turning on the lights, everything became illuminated and he stood there, looking to see if anything was out of place. His first android was not in eye view, so he didn't suspect anything was wrong with it. At first that is.

Name: Haru

How old you look: Around 23

Height:5'9'

Weight: 125 (within healthy range, but on the thinner side. Lean)

Hair: A darker shade of silvery grey

Eyes: An almost too bright blue

Orientation: Seke, though preferably uke.

Bio: Haru was one of the first dolls YC ever created, but unfortunately, his programming was flawed for reasons never fully understood, and YC had to ultimately make the decision to deactivate him.

When Haru is re-activated, he will have no memory of being a doll at all, and won’t believe he’s anything but human. He’s stubborn and obstinate and will understandably refuse orders, if given. However, he has severe doubts, having no memories of anything before being reactivated.

Personality: He’s confused, angry, scared and apt to lash out at first. He is searching for answers.

He was floating.

His extremities seemed to come in to vague focus, hazy and like a part away from himself. First, his fingers and toes. They tingled, like carbonation running just under his skin. It seemed to spiral out and up his arms and legs, cold and creeping.

What is this...feeling?

It nagged and pulled, reaching the core of him and building. This wasn't like before, when the eerie sense of a presence would visit him, briefly interrupting the otherwise silent dark.

The presence was familiar, warm even, like a little light he could only see if he focused; A light on a far off shore, blinking in the distance, and then gone again almost as soon as he realized he'd seen it.

This though...

A violent thrum shot through his consciousness, shaking the dark around him. The edges started to blur, and he was no longer floating, but being pulled. Up and up and up. The world went rushing around him, all sound and noise and motion, spinning and whirling. The darkness was caving in around him, cracking open.

Light exploded before his eyes, bringing new sensations. Haru recoiled against it, shuddering in the new cold of someplace he'd never seen before. There was a strange hammering at his core that shook his entire self and so many feelings. He couldn't explain the sudden solidness of everything happening around him. Haru tried reaching out with his awareness, trying to make sense of the myriad of new sensations.

Nothing but cold hardness beneath him.

His eyes ached as he tried again to open them, slowly raising the lids against the harsh brightness. Gradually, his surrounding gained more focus. A blank white loomed overhead with spots of light interspersed along its expanse. These were nothing like the light he'd known before, the light of the presence that had flitted along his awareness in the past. These burned his eyes and washed out the world, blinding and invasive.

He had two maids in his house and none of them had the keys for the basement area, so there should be nothing giving him the sensation he wasn't alone down here. Without the lights on there would be absolutely no light in here, so he couldn't expect anyone to have been here, nor any of his robots because they didn't have the keys for here either of course. With a small sigh, he closed his eyes in an attempt to brush off the strange feeling. While he was down here, he may as well bring back some supplies he was running low on. But he could do that after this. Touko walked down the white floors, his shoes being the only kind of noise in the large basement.

The table laying down his first model android was untouched at first glance, but coming closer... It's eyes were open. He stood in place for a moment in slight shock, but malfunctions happen on rare occasions, even when something was deactivated. Its been years, though. With no incidents like this either. "Haru?" he said in confusion, "... No." He looked away and chuckled, feeling idiotic to think he was actually functional again. Touko came closer and put his hand over his eyes to close them to hopefully they would stay shut, "Go back to sleep, Haru, don't start acting up now after so long..."

Its been such a long time since he let this android be functional. When it was on, it was constantly failing tasks and it's speech wasn't right half of the time. It was better to leave it off and be put away... What ever made him think that he should make something so lifelike? Touko felt very foolish thinking about the days when he was putting Haru together. What was he even going to do with Haru? If it looked so real, why couldn't be have made actual human companions? Well, he could if he had the heart for it, but his heart didn't exist in the real word. It only existed in his creations and with them.

There was a noise in the brightness and Haru strained to make it out. A rythmic step, step, step. He wasn't alone. The noise grew louder, coming closer. He had to move, had to escape, but he was pinned there, cold slab beneath him and blinding light above. The noise stopped and he could feel a presence somewhere off to his right side, but no matter how hard he strained, he couldn't look in any other direction but straight up.

Suddenly, a black shape loomed overhead, blotting out lights above until everything was dark again.

Go back to sleep, Haru...

Those sounds...that...word...

Ha...ru.

It meant something, this word. He didn't know what or why, but he knew it was important.

Haru.

The word sparked something, making his senses hum.

Haru.

A sudden jolt shot through him, accompanied by a lightning flash across the black backdrop of his closed eyelids.

"Initializing."

Those sounds weren't like the other's. They sounded closer, like they had come from somewhere within the darkness, not from outside.

"Beginning download." The noise came again. He recognized that sound...

But there was no time to think longer on it, as a sudden rushing consumed his sense, throbbing through his body. A sudden awareness overtook him then, and answers to questions he hadn't even known to ask flooded in. Places, names, sensations, feelings...they all suddenly had names. And he had one too.

"Haru. I am Haru." he heard himself say.

"Yes... You are..." Touko lifted his hand off of Haru's face and gave a strange look. Now not only had its eyes opened, the machine actually started up and he didn't understand why. More importantly what had Haru downloaded? It had been decommissioned. There was nothing inserted in this android. Skeptical about this situation and curious, the man started to take off the binds that kept his model one in place, "If you can sit up, do so, Haru. Answer me how you started up and what you downloaded. Did anyone come into here and tamper with your parts?" he paused, touching his chin, "... Give me a full status update this instant."

Of course nobody had tampered with Haru... Nobody came out here to his home. His maids didn't know the first thing about machinery. His robots didn't have the skill to be able to reactivate another machine, especially one that differed so much from their own selves... Then why. How. This wasn't supposed to happen. Bugs like this didn't go that far... But as buggy as this might be, or whatever was making Haru start up, he may as well test him again.

He looks too real...

Touko was reminded of that all too well when Haru spoke. His lips, his hair and his flesh were just like a human's... If the public found out he made something like this, they'd start demanding models like these. He didn't want to imagine what people would do with an android that looked human. Each of his creations were like his children. He'd never give away androids that could be used for inhumane sexual purposes. What if Hinata looked like an actual little girl and somebody wanted to use her other than her passion for flowers? That would never happen.

Yet he still made something like this. Touko honestly resented himself for creating this. He was impressed at his own ability, don't get him wrong... but he still could never understand why he actually did it.
