Akito kept him smile on, not wanting to lose face. The wound he made was being wrapped up, seeing the hunger pain on Hotaru's face. He knew that feeling all too well, being offered blood is literally a fight between yourself if you want to drink it or not. "Giving me what I want? Didn't you want this before as well?" He mumbled his words out, confused the other was refusing to do this. This was something that even Hotaru didn't have a right to deny him of, so why was he trying. He looked down at the scarf then at his unharmed hand. That was the only thing Hotaru could use as a bandage, he still had one hand left. He furrowed his eyebrows, not wanting to cut his other hand. He wiped away any tears from his face, trying to make them stop, but it would not work. The tears just kept flowing out, this was truly embarrassing, it really was. Crying was something he was not supposed to do, it showed weakness. Something he was never supposed to show, but he showed it to Hotaru millions of times even without having to cry. This was just the lowest of the low.

Not the monster who killed his parents? But he did it, they died by his hand. He didn't show remorse then, he was only showing it now. He didn't think twice when killing them, he did as he did without even considering the consequences. "But I am that monster Hotaru! You should hate me, I didn't even think about what I did! Hate me, please just hate me," his voice meek. Being told the other didn't hate him was the what caused him the most guilt. He was cruel to Hotaru all the time, not even considering the other's feelings. Everything he did was to spite the other, but being told he wasn't hated stabbed him. He did everything because he make the other to hate him, then he would be able to make himself believe how much of a monster he was. Then he could make himself believe all the lies without problem. That's why he was so willing, because he was a monster. Now that was being taken away from him, he no longer was a monster in Hotaru's eyes. What was he supposed to believe now? How was he supposed to make himself that cruel again in the other's eyes? Hotaru didn't hate him when he should, Akito needed that hate to make himself believe he was evil. Now he couldn't.

"You shouldn't need someone like me Hotaru. You have so many people around you, why would you need me? I..." He cut himself off, not sure of what to say anymore. Being needed, not being hated, every word was the complete opposite of what he believed. Hotaru didn't need him, but he does. He hated him, but he didn't. This threw him for a loop, he didn't know what to say or do. He cried harder, frantically rubbing his face. He didn't want to die, he just lost his reason to try to as well. Hotaru was stirring up his emotions, stirring his thoughts up. Now he was going to be forced to live, yet he was happy that he wasn't going to die. He truly wanted to live, Hotaru didn't want him to die either. It confused him though, he really should be wanted to die by his captor.

The hands grabbed his shirt, his eyes widening, causing his smile to completely drop. He used his free hand to touch Hotaru's face, wiping away the tears. He could care less if he wasn't supposed to touch the other, he needed to comfort him somehow. "Don't cry, that's not fair. I don't hate you, I could never hate you," he mumbled, his tears slowing. "I'm sorry, I didn't think... I didn't know you... I'm sorry Hotaru. I didn't even consider if you could... never mind. I won't do it again, I'm sorry. Really sorry. You wild kind of just expect your captor to kill you, you know? I really thought you hated me, I thought I was a problem, which I still seem to be. You're out here in the cold having to come look for me, sorry." He laughed, pulling the other into another hug. He didn't care if Hotaru wanted it or not, he needed the warmth now. "Hey, you're hungry right? At least feed, that feeling you get when you're hungry, it sucks. It starts out small but by the next day it'll be hell. You need to feed, don't fight me on this. Please."

Hotaru was expecting Akito to not understand his words in the beginning. He didn't either, but his words were the pure truth whether either of them liked it or not. He closed his eyes in relief, yet again, when he was hugged and Akito promised not to do this again. That was something he wanted, not for Akito do die or suffer because of something he was practically forced to do... This could be considered a strange punishment, wouldn't it? His family was sadly gone, but now Akito couldn't leave him. Of course he'd rather have his family back, nothing would ever replace them, not even the newborn. Akito was no substitute. He was... his remedy in a way. Hotaru felt better with him home and he'd like it if he stayed. He wasn't sure if he'd regret this later, he didn't think he would, but for right now? Yeah. He liked this a lot, hugging Akito in return with a smile.

What would his family think of this? They weren't very vengeful vampires to begin with, but at the beginning, Hotaru felt like the'd like some kind of payback. He also felt like they wouldn't want to see him suffer and be sad about them passing on. Whatever made him happy, that's what they might have ended up wanting for him. What made the vampire always happy was having someone with him that was apart from any other person. Akito was right, there was a lot of people he knew, but none of them were a person he was willing to spend too much time with. Especially because for one, he and Akito were both vampires, and also the newborn was interesting enough. They were opposites. Nothing could be more fun than that.

"You, Akito..." he couldn't help it. He laughed, "You haven't been a vampire for long and you're telling me, a vampire over a thousand years old, what it feels like to be hungry?" Hotaru sniffled, his laugh becoming a chuckle, "I know what it's like, Aki-chan, but thank you for the warning anyways... I don't need to fight with you. I'm happy that you'll come back, thats enough for me to comply." Hotaru moved his coat a little off to the side so he could occupy his neck, mumbling, "I'm not as stubborn as you. But I'm only taking a little for now, because that smell is driving me rather crazy. I'll feed properly another time." His fangs pierced the skin of his neck slowly and in a more gentle fashion. That taste of a newborn, that mix of remaining human and a vampire, he nearly forgot how delicious it was. The hot blood going down his throat made Hotaru hold Akito tighter, sighing with satisfaction.

Akito was glad the other was going to feed, though it was odd he was happy about it. The blood was precious to him, it was ending that pain in his stomach, but he was so willing to give it to Hotaru to make him feel better. It wasn't a bad thing, but it definitely was weird. "But I don't think you've felt it as bad as I have. It really makes it hard to even move," he laughed. He was glad the other stopped crying, that's all he wanted. It killed him to see Hotaru crying, that was his weakness with the other. The fangs entered him much more gently than they had before, liking that his neck wasn't completely irritated by the bite. He let out deep breaths, calming himself from the sucking of his blood. It felt nice with how gentle Hotaru was being for once. He would treasure this little moment, it might be one of the ones they would rarely have.

Now what could their relationship be called? This was not longer hatred, it didn't seem much like it was a captor and his prisoner, what defines the thing between them? It's not that it mattered, he was just curious to know. Now how was he supposed to act after this? Did he start trying to be nicer? Did he continue to act how he usually did? What was going to even happen from here on out? Was everything going to remain the same, had something changed? So many questions were filling Akito's head, unsure of where they currently were. He didn't really see a need to change how he acted, all they seemed to come to conclusion that neither of them hated one another. Which was a big deal, but how much did it really change? Hotaru was still possible going to torture the newborn with hunger, which he seemed to be encouraging by letting the other feed off of him. He probably would have to deal with the sexual frustrations the other caused, not that it was that bad. How did this change anything? It changed a lot for the brunette, his situation felt changed, but he didn't see the need in changing himself.

The tight hold was comforting, loving every second of it. He didn't care how much blood Hotaru decided to take, he could put him back in a starving position for all he cared. He ran his fingers through the raven hair, still not caring if the other disliked the touch or not. It just felt natural for him to do his, which was amazing. He hated touches, he hated touching people, however when it was Hotaru, he didn't hate it at all. In fact, he enjoyed the touches, a whole lot. That wasn't supposed to be the case for him, it was though. Did Hotaru even know how special he was to have Akito touching him of his own free will? He didn't even do this with his parents, only when it was absolutely necessary. He closed his eyes, feeling as if hours were passing them by. He continued to run his fingers through the other's hair, not stopping once.

The vampire enjoyed this blood a lot and drinking slowly to savor the unique taste. If Akito had been wondering if he liked having his head pet or not, he wouldn't have to think it was a negative thing. Running and going all over town looking for this guy, drinking a little from him and having his fingers go through his hair was top notch relaxation. He did wish it wasn't in a dark ally outside though, but he bet Akito felt the same. This right here was good enough for now. If it weren't so cold out here, he could easily see himself falling to sleep like this. A dangerous thing. Hotaru didn't take these touches for granted, he took nothing from Akito for granted. At the start, he tried to get in the same blanket as the man, but he wouldn't have that. Akito had gotten to the point of actually giving him head before and now this. Never would he take it for granted. The brunet shouldn't feel like this wasn't special for him either. He could have sex with as many people as he did, but having someone do this him was too intimate for him if it wasn't Akito.

With another small sigh, he took his fangs out and licked the puncture holes he caused before kissing it. Hotaru pulled away slowly, looking a lot better, though his eyes were tired, "Probably not. I don't plan on starving myself to find out what its like though, sorry," chuckling, he looked down and took some hair behind his ear, "Thats done. Thank you for the snack, Akito... Now, its time to go back... I'd try to call a cab, but um... I left the house without taking my phone with me by mistake." He didn't want to say how he ran out of the house like he did, but if he left his phone, that gave a small hint that he wasn't thinking properly with Akito gone for so long.

Hotaru didn't want Akito to think too much into that detail so he grew a smile and pat the newborn's shoulder and used it to help himself up from the ground, "Akito? Were you really not going to come back? Or would you have came back home eventually?" he asked, curious to know how long he'd have waited on the couch if Akito was going to come back. How long would Hotaru have waited before knowing for sure if the newborn was actually not coming back? He didn't think he'd ever stop waiting to be honest. Akito was his loyal hound, he'd wait an eternity and believe he was still going to come back around eventually.

"I wouldn't want you to do that anyway. I would never want you to feel that kind of pain," he said through a yawn. Losing blood was tiring, even if he didn't lose that much. It still drained him of his energy as he lost it, causing his body to drag. He was always tired though, this wasn't that big of a deal. He left his phone? Was he in that frantic about finding his prisoner? Ah, so he was looking for him because he was worried, he didn't just forget about him. That made him smile, not even bothering to hide it. This truly was the best moment they had together, one the newborn would treasure the most. Hotaru actually cared for having him around, he wanted him there, who wouldn't be happy about that? This was Hotaru, he could have his pick of the litter of friends he had, but he chose the brunette. That meant the world to him.

Retracting his arm, he allowed the other to use his shoulder to stand up, pushing himself off the hard ground as well. His smile dropped for a second, thinking about how he was supposed to answer the question. "I'll be honest, I thought about leaving. I thought how I could just run and you might never find me. It was pointless though, I'm too attached to leave you behind. I like living with you, it's fun. So then I started trying to walk back home when I realized I was lost. I'm really glad you found me," he laughed. In his fit of anger, he didn't care where he was walking, just as long as he got away from the apartment and the people in it. He did care however when he calmed down, wanting to return as soon as possible, which ended up not being the case. "So I guess I would've come back, but I couldn't. I honestly was panicking that I didn't know where to go, I hated being out here for so long. I hate having to be alone." That dreadful word was being used so much today, but it was true. He was alone when he wasn't with Hotaru. The older vampire was the only thing he had to even try to rid of that feeling.

He sighed, wanting to change topics. This was something he didn't care to talk about anymore, or perhaps he didn't want to go into a deep conversation about it. Either way, he didn't want to talk about his alone, ever. It didn't matter anymore, he still had someone in his life. That someone was Hotaru. He'd grown attached to the other, so very attached. He couldn't tell if that was good or bad anymore. His attachment was something that existed in the weirdest way. One minute he could be attached, the next he could be completely resenting the other. He didn't mind it though, it was kind of nice that he could rely a bit on Hotaru, he didn't have to worry about the trust being broken. It was lien their trust was mutual, knowing it wouldn't be shattered. Maybe that was why Akito wouldn't leave, it was a chain of trust. One he dared not to mess with. "I'll take the couch tonight, I don't want to argue about this either. I don't want to continue sleeping in your bed when you need it more. You seem to sleep better on the bed than on the couch. I'm fine either way."

Oh Akito... Hotaru was glad the newborn didn't think about leaving too hard. Just hearing Akito say that he was too attached to him to leave him behind, he felt himself getting warmer even in this cold night. This vampire loved his compliments, he could have those all day, but those words took the entire cake because like the brunet, he also hated to be left all alone. The picture of Akito wandering out there seemed cute to him for about a second before the man mentioned he had been panicking. If that was Hotaru out there, he wouldn't have liked Akito to call it cute that he was freaking out because he was lost. It was just a little silly to have gotten lost out there... But the newborn was very angry, he could understand. Hotaru nodded his head to show he listened, but he wasn't sure about what exactly to say. He was really relieved that he found Akito. It put life in him to have found him and put his arms around him.

"You keep thinking I'm going to argue with you, Akito," he smiled with a laugh, putting his hands in his pockets to protect against the cold. The only thing he put on to leave the house was his scarf and his coat. He had been lucky to have found gloves in the pockets, but that had been it. If he hadn't been sweating under all of that, he'd have been freezing. That hot blood was still going in him, so he wasn't as cold as Akito would have been if he wasn't wearing his coat over him. "I do want to sleep on my bed again... My bed is big though. You know that... For once I think we can both stay on the same bed. Both of us are exhausted and could use it. You can go on one side and I'll be on the other." He looked up at Akito with a smirk as he stole his words, "I don't want to argue about this either."

He didn't like to share beds with people unless bodies were rubbing together, if you know what he means. He was afraid of the things he might do in his sleep to another person, but right now, he didn't feel like that would happen. His body was exhausted, he was tired and he felt happy to be coming home with Akito next to him. If that didn't spell out a good nights rest, he didn't know what on earth would. It wasn't like Hotaru was suggesting they sleep together like that from now on at all. He wasn't asking to be cuddled, he wasn't asking to allow to cuddle Akito. Plainly, this was each of them sharing the comfort of his big, soft bed.

Akito was surprised that Hotaru had decided they were going to sleep in the same bed. He would've protested but his own words were shot back at him, causing him to laugh. "Argue with you? I would never," he spoke lightheartedly. Instead of protesting, he decided to change the way he was going to word it, then he wouldn't be arguing. "But are you sure you want to actually sleep with me? I might kick you off in the middle of the night, I probably hog the bed, it'd be easier if I just slept on the couch." He didn't mind sleeping on the bed with the other, but he kind of wanted his own space as well. If they were on the same bed that meant he'd be near Hotaru more, he'd already been touchy enough today. He naturally clung to things and people when he was sleeping, he found that out the hard way when him and his old roommate had to share a bed for the night. He didn't want to end up doing that with the older vampire, making it awkward between them.

He put the jacket on, pulling th scarf off of his wrist. His entire hand and wrist were covered with dried up blood, the wound already healed. "Gross," he mumbled, staring at the scarf. He felt guilty the other had to use as a way to stop the bleeding. He didn't know if he should feel embarrassed over his actions or if he should just feel guilty for making the other so upset. It wasn't his intention. Today was a fun day for him, he had to deal with a bratty human, he got lost, he cried, and now this. The day was just full of surprises for him. He was glad they were going back, he couldn't handle anymore surprises, he just wanted to sleep. He was exhausted, needing sleep more than he did any other day. "That friend of yours... Yuu right? Apologize to him for me, for my behavior. One of us has to be mature about it right? Do that for me though, my attitude was just as uncalled for," he spoke softer. It was embarrassing he had to be the one to apologize for what he said, he didn't even know he guy.

"Hey Hotaru, what exactly would you consider our relationship now? I mean, I just thought we had a mutual hate for each other," he blurted out. He was just speaking out loud at that point, not really meaning to ask about it. "Oh, don't... Damn." He didn't want to hear the answer, yet he was curious to know. He wasn't planning on asking if, there was no point in trying to take it back now that he did. His curiosity got the better of him, it always did. He shoved the scarf inside the coat pocket, waiting for the answer. Though he was curious to hear it, he wasn't excited for what it might be. He didn't want to hear something that would drop the good mood he was in, but he'd rather deal with reality than lies.

"I think youre being too dramatic," Hotaru grinned hearing Akito's explanation as to why it wouldn't be a good idea to sleep in the same bed together. The guy was probably just too embarrassed to do that, huh? If he was that insecure, then he could just put an extra pillow between them. What if he was afraid that he might do some funny business if they were than close? That fear would be not in vain if it was before. He told himself that the best kinds of sexual torture were where Akito wanted it himself... Hotaru could play as the instigator, but he wouldn't do anything more than that. As determined before, if he was the one putting too much effort into his actions, he got swept away by them. Even if it was settled they didn't exactly hate each other, he still wasn't about to go all out over him. He wasn't sure if he would do that ever. It was already lodged in his head that Akito wasn't going to be a full ride like the friends he toyed with.

Sleeping together in the same bed wasn't toying. And hey, if they got used to it, on days where they were too tired to do anything, they could share the same plush comfort that his bed provided. Sharing was caring right? At least for one day. He'll be fine with taking the bed from now on, if Akito wanted, he could nap on it when he wasn't home like he was already doing so good at.

Hotaru rubbed his nose with the back of his hand. He could smell the dried blood more with the scarf off, but also he felt some snot coming down. If he got a cold, it would be all Akito's fault and he'd force him to do even more things than he already did... His poor scarf served it's master with valor, though, and it's blood soiled fabric does not go unrecognized. He'd give it a deep clean too. As long as it was cleaned and the deep red color faded into the red of the scarf, it was salvageable. If it constantly smelled like blood, then he wasn't so sure. Sometimes there was just no hope for stained things, that was clear over many years for him, even with the invention of so many wonderful magic supplies... Cleaning supplies.

"I'll tell him, Akito, when he-" when he stops being such an ass. Is what he was going to say. Yuu looked sorry about his actions for only a few moments, but then his frown of shame turned into anger for some reason. He didn't know. Hotaru wished that the two guys around him weren't so goddamn complicated... He'll let Yuu calm down for a day or two and then send him a text about the apology. At least Yuu was the kind of person who enjoyed having people apologize to him first.

Akito had cut him off by blurting out something he wished he could label as uncalled for though, which it was actually a valid question. Hotaru turned his head directly to the brunet, his mouth open because hell if he knew what they were now. Friends? Pals? Acquaintances? Amigos? None of them fit. Mutual hate isn't even what he felt like they had for half of the time. If they hated each other, then how come Hotaru wasn't able to be a real captor and how come Akito was capable of showing he cared about him? The vampire faced forward and shrugged, "I wouldn't say friends... Frienemies?" He offered the name up and looked at the newborn again, laughing, "I'm not sure, actually! I wish you didn't ask that, it felt like it would have been an unwritten rule to not ever know. But Its fair to say its not all hate. We don't need a specific title, its too tiring to try and complicate ourselves like that. A better question for right now is if we can walk any faster."

Being too dramatic? Akito was being far from dramatic about sleeping with the other. He could make a huge fuss about it, which he wasn't going to do. He waved it off, deciding he was just going to deal with sleeping with the other for one night. Just one night wouldn't hurt him. He could only hope he didn't cling in the middle of the night, that would be hard to explain when one or both of them woke up. He could only wish he'd be the one to wake up first, then it wouldn't be known what he was doing if he quickly fixed it. He was willing to give in, he kind of preferred to sleep on the bed anyway. He was exhausted, the couch was uncomfortable, it worked in his favor. He would just have to look at the positives of of sleeping on the bed with the other, even if they were slim to none. His only worry was clinging to the other some point at night, but it was warranted.

"Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to bring up something I wasn't supposed to," he mumbled. He didn't really care for the rest of what the other said, he got what he wanted. Frenemies. He could see that, but it didn't fit them. Hotaru was right, they didn't need a title, they were them, that was that. He didn't care he cut the other off when he asked for him to apologize to Yuu, all he heard was he was willing to do, that's all he cared about. He didn't want to hear the rest, it was pointless to what he asked. "I'm walking as fast as you are, I already told I got lost. That it for reason. I have no idea where we are going. I'll walk faster when you do too." He sighed, his breath visible from the cold air of the night. This really do did remind him of the first time they met, meeting in an alleyway, being taken to the apartment, just under different circumstances. It was odd to think how they first met.

It became silent as he followed beside the older vampire, staring at his bloodied arm. He really didn't know how to act about this now, knowing that he made a mistake by doing what he did. Akito wasn't the one who was going to let this go easily, just like he wasn't going to let go of the begging incident he did. He was going to beat himself up for this over and over for awhile, resenting himself for his actions. It's not that big of a deal, but to him it was. He did try to make the other end his life, unsure what compelled him to even beg for that. That was something he had yet to decide completely. He didn't want to be a bother to Hotaru anymore and he was done with dealing with life, but it just didn't seem like it was enough to send him over the edge. He cousinly figure out the last reason, he didn't want to either. Sometimes it was better to leave it unknown.

"Whatever." He pouted and a puff of the icy breath left his nose with a huff as he walked faster. Hotaru left it at that because he was done with talking for now. His throat might get pummeled if he spoke too much in this cold wind, he had to be perfectly able to talk and talk and annoy Akito later, that's why. The good news about the cold was that walking faster, more blood pumped through him and it helped regulate his body, he wasn't going to be sweating again though, neither he or Akito were going to be running a marathon right now like he had done trying to find this guy.

On the way home, he had to think about how he'll start to treat the newborn in his care. If they didn't hate each other, it felt wrong to keep starving him to the point of looking half alive, but he wasn't about to just stop doing everything just because of this. Akito showed that he didn't deserve a fate of continuously starving, so maybe he could just strictly control how much he drinks and when. This way would actually prove to be less convenient for him because then he'd have to provide enough blood for himself and a newborn, which was the equivalent of the Hungry Hungry Caterpillar for vampires. It meant that he'd have to feed more often now, a risky thing to do that Hotaru still felt was manageable in a way. He could be more predatory at the bar, getting the people who stay until closing to let him help take them home, those people were the most wasted or the most depressed. Both were easy to manipulate to his bidding, but the taste wouldn't be the best. What a bummer. At least a well fed Akito would taste great...

After fifteen minutes of speed walking, the apartment building came to them. Envisioning a soft bed under his behind made him pick up the pace in a trot, mumbling, "Home sweet home..." At the front door of his place, he opened it up fast since he had forgot to lock the door in the first place. Hotaru let out a giant yawn and kicked off his shoes, "I can't feel my fingertips anymore..." He frowned like an unhappy cat and took the coat from Akito, "Can you go wash away the blood on your arm? After that you can go ahead to bed... I'm going to deal with the scarf and change." Comfy clothes called to him, but with them calling, he felt bad that Akito didn't have any comfy clothes to change into... Tomorrow he'll get some stuff before he went to work... He inwardly swore on that.

It was nice to be laughing and smiling for once with his captor. Akito enjoyed being able to express himself a bit more freely than before, always guarded when it came to the other. Even if this lasted only one day, he was glad he was able to laugh as much as he did. Not that he was excited to turn back to the wall he created, but it was nice to have one day that he was just him. Something Hotaru rarely got see. Touching, that was a rare thing for him too, yet he grew so used to touching the older vampire. He was changing so much in such a little amount of time, it was quite surprising, even to the newborn. He wasn't used to this change himself, he never cared much for other people. He cared a lot for Hotaru on the other hand, which was even more surprising. This guy was supposed to be his captor, his torturer, even before he found out the other wanted him around, he still cared for him a lot.

He walked faster, keeping up with Hotaru as he seemed to speed up as well, not allowing himself to fall behind any further. He didn't want to drag behind, he antagonized the other when he made fun of him walking slow. Walking into the apartment with the other, he sighed in relief at the warmth that hit him. Being told to clean his arm, he nodded willingly, already planning on cleaning off the nastiness on his arm. Calling his blood wasn't nasty might have been a odd, but it was dried blood on his arm, it was nasty to him. He headed to the bathroom, staring at his arm. There was no scar where he had cut himself, surprised the vampire body could heal so quickly without marks. He turned on the water, pushing the tab down to make it come from the faucet instead of the shower head. He stuck his forearm under, washing the blood away with his clean hand. This was the stupidest thing he could've done.

Wiping his arm to dry it with the towel, he sighed, leaning against the wall. He wanted to drag time out, not wanting to go sleep with the other in the bed. Not just because of his worries, he felt stupid to show his face to the other. But time wouldn't stop for him, he just needed to head to bed, ignoring his bothersome feelings. He walked to the bedroom, dropping on the bed, sighing once more, this time out of frustration. He was such a complicated guy, with complicated feelings, he was even a puzzle to solve with himself. He couldn't figure out anything about himself at times, unsure if what he was feeling was true or not. Came with the territory of living in lies all the time, sooner or later you forget they are lies, because you can make anyone believe a lie is the truth. He didn't want to think he was still lying to himself, but he wasn't sure he could stop when it was natural for him. Did he really like Hotaru or was it a lie? Surely it wasn't, he showed so many emotions with the vampire, ones no one ever saw. He closed his eyes, drifting into sleep. Sleep was his only cure.

Hanging up the coat, his eyes did one final glance at Akito as he went to the bathroom to do what he was asked. He knew he didn't have to, the newborn vampire did things on his own without being asked plenty of times. He wouldn't complain about something like that, but he still did like to be the one giving instruction to other people, it was apart of his personality to always have some kind of control over others around him, things around him as well. He's always been like that and he wouldn't ever call it a problem, because it wasn't like he was trying to be a dictator over other people. If anyone said that, it would be a huge exaggeration. It was just him to be the leader, or the one in charge, Hotaru never even like having sex on his back, it was giving the other person too much power and he didn't like that.

Hotaru didn't want to stay up any more than he had to, he was too tired to do anything besides change clothes and do something fast with the bloody scarf. He was going to put it in a bag and leave it like that to deal with it tomorrow, honestly, that was all he was going to do, so how Hotaru found himself taking a fabric cleaner and taking the scarf to the kitchen sink to deep scrub it, he didn't know. His eyes were close to closing and falling asleep on his feet, yet he was turning on the water to a warm temperature. The vampire unraveled the bunched up scarf and started to put some of it under the water, bloodied water flowing down the drain. Blood filled his nose more now and all he wanted to do was just have a little bit. Just a little...

Staring to the room to see if Akito wasn't about to come out, he put his nose into the scarf and smelled. The water made it feel like the blood was fresh and the smell made it seem like that too, Hotaru's eyes were a little more awake, and he knew at this point he shouldn't have been handling this when he was this tired. Doing this was just making him ten times more hungry and at this time, there wasn't anything he could do about it. He put down the fabric in the sink and looked at his red stained hands. "Can't remember the last time I was this pathetic..." He chuckled quietly and raised his hands to his mouth, drinking the watered down blood. The worst part might not be the fact that he did it, but that the taste was still delicious and he wanted more.

In the repeated process of squeezing out more of Akito's leftover blood from a scarf, a feign scarf, and trying to feed off of it as much as he could, Hotaru leaned all of his body on the sink and soon what he was drinking was more close to water than blood, the flavor was dead too. The vampire wet his hand under the water and turned it off with nothing else to tell himself besides "Im disgusting" and "I need to get someone decent tomorrow." Because what a low point for him. If he wanted that blood that bad, he could have just bitten Akito. He could have. But he wouldn't. The newborn was sleeping, also he only said that he'd be taking a little, which he had meant.

Hotaru came to bed after throwing away his scarf. He didn't want to think about doing something like that if it was around for him to see. Anyways, he might as well get a new one while he goes out shopping for clothes for Akito to wear, it was about time he got a new one. Getting under his blanket, on the opposite side as the sleeping newborn, he yawned and rubbed a wet eye, then settled his head facing the newborn sleeping. He sure had a relaxed face when he slept, it was like he wasn't the stern looking guy when he was awake... Though before coming home, he got to see him smiling, crying and laughing. That, he knew was special and he appreciated being one to see it. Smiling and turning around on his side, Hotaru closed his eyes and followed along with exactly what Akito was doing.

Nightmares, so many of them could happen in one night of sleep. They were happening to Akito on this very night, causing him to toss and turn, wake up sweating, and repeat. They were always different, all morbid, it was almost sick what his brain had potential of dreaming up for him. He might have been sleep talking too, he ha don idea, all he knew was this was killing him inside and out. He couldn't handle having his remedy being his torture for the night. It had to be on the other worst one too. He was exhausted, and the newborn would be more so when morning hit if he couldn't keep himself asleep for longer than an hour at a time. This was a lot more torturous than anything Hotaru could have ever done. His dreams were the ones that were able to inflict him the most pain of any kind. At least if it was Hotaru then the brunette knew he was awake.

After about his fifth time of waking up, the newborn decided it would be best to have a glass of water, that might change something for him by luck. He got out of the bed, heading straight into the kitchen. After looking everywhere he found the glasses, grabbing one for himself. The newborn shoved his cup under the faucet, turning it on. Once the cup was full, he would greedily drink it done, getting more for himself. He did this about five or six times before deciding he had enough water for one night. He set the cup down on the counter, sighing. He didn't feel like returning to bed just yet, he was too worn out to deal with whatever punishment his brain had prepared for him next. He just stood there, staring at the door. Did he want to go back and have the toner witness him being this bad when sleeping? Not really. But the couch didn't seem any better. Oh well. He just needed to last until morning without some dramatic thing happening with himself.

Returning to the room, he got under the covers instead of laying on top like he usually would. He needed warmth, even if he was sweaty, he was still freezing at the end of it all. The newborn felt their bodies press together, enjoying the warmth of the other. What if he could have another remedy for one night in exchange of sleeping? Hotaru could be that. He could easily play of his clinging that it was a natural habit when he was young. It wasn't a lie, though for once he'd purposely be hugging the other. It felt so nice when they were in the alley, he wanted to feel that again. Fuck it. Consequences can come in the morning, right now he needed sleep, he wasn't getting anywhere with that. He turned on his other side, facing the other. He reached his arms around Hotaru, pulling him close so they were pressing against one another. He wasn't excited for what might happen when the other woke up, that was for later however. He closed his eyes, falling asleep once more. He had few nightmares, nothing major enough to wake him up. They weren't as cruel as the others, they barely affected him at all. Perhaps because he knew they were jaunt dreams for once, feeling Hotaru's warmth against him out of the sleep he was in.

Being so cold out on the street, the warmth of being in bed was what his body had been desiring for ever since getting back inside. The sheets were perfect, he loved this soft mattress and he bought four of the same pillows for the same reason. He missed being able to sleep on the clouds he called his bed, he did. The sleep he had was peaceful and with an added warmth on him, it got even better and he didn't even know what had happened between himself and Akito. The newborn was lucky that the vampire hadn't woken up when he first hugged him, or else he would have been forced to sleep on the couch. If he didn't like anyone doing this before, he wouldn't do it now, even if he and Akito came on better terms that night. The content, cozy expression on the vampires sleeping face sure would confuse someone about that though. Liking it while you slept wasn't the same as what you might feel about it when you're awake. Having someone hug him in the day was fine, it was normal to hug others. Hugging when you slept was SO much different, it was too intimate. He didn't like things when they were too intimate...

A little after the afternoon, Hotaru woke up slow like a princess Aurora after a great rest, he was surrounded in warmth and his alarm didn't even have to wake him up today, which everyone knows is a great feeling. His legs were bound to hurt at work, where he was required to stand up for nearly all of the time, but right now, he felt none of that soreness. The only feeling that he was unsure about was the weight on him that wasn't the blanket. He looked down and wormed slightly, "..." His eyes squawked open wider and looked over down, moving the blanket up to see an arm around him that wasnt here when he went to sleep last night. It got him mad a little. This whole bed was for them to share separately. What was he doing this damn close? He even slept closer to the edge so they didn't have a high chance of bothering each other in the night. "Akito..."

Hotaru could be mean and wake up the newborn and scold his actions. Scare him up by snapping at him or pinch his face... Looking over his shoulder, ready to burst out with complaints with this heavy embarrassment in his chest, but something big stopped him. Akito's face right behind him, sleeping so soundly and peacefully right there. He stared at his face and somehow was calmed by it. He looked way more content here than he had by himself when he first went to sleep. Did sleeping with something in his arms make him feel better? This kind of clinging wasn't something he'd guess Akito to be doing quite honestly. It was something children did with stuffed animals, not an ex vampire hunter with a straight personality. Hotaru didn't know why he decided to do this, but he turned around in this weird hug of theirs to comfortably continue looking at him, this way being more comfortable to "admire" so to speak. The raven haired vampire even brought a hand up to touch his face. At first, he moved some hair out of the way, but then he punched his cheek closer to his lips, making him look like he had chubby cheeks. Hotaru smiled and might have gotten to into it, moving his cheek around to give the newborn more funny looks, chuckling and, legit, enjoying himself with doing something so silly to Akito.

Sleeping through nightmares was tolerable for once, either he had a good sleep with no nightmares, or a horrible one with plenty of nightmares. Never was he able to tolerate them while sleeping. Hotaru was the perfect remedy for helping him sleep, one he hated that he was only going to be able to use once. He didn't really care if the other liked his snuggling he ended up forcing him to do, the brunette knew he liked it and that was that. The older vampire could scold him in the morning, give him any kind of punishment, the newborn wouldn't care. He'd take it willingly, grateful for having one amazing night of sleep. He had never slept so nice, his body wasn't as stiff as a board the entire night, he was just in a nice relaxed state of sleep. Something he didn't even remember having. If he did, it must have been when he was a child, before he was scarred with the death and murder, the blood on his family's hands. That was another thing he couldn't remember. Was he ever happy?

Upon hearing his name be called, he mumbled a bit, not very awake, but he heard. He could've woke up if he really wanted to, but he didn't want to. Unconsciously he was waiting for the scolding however, one that never came. He was confused why, sure the other wasn't going to appreciate this. Maybe he did? Akito didn't care to know, he just wanted to continue to sleep. That's all he wanted. How we that seemed like it was not going to happen as he felt the constant pushing on his cheeks other the other had shifted, most likely turning around. He tried to ignore it, returning to his slumber, but Hotaru did not give up on making the newborn make funny faces. He didn't mind the touch, wait, touch? The other was touching him? Why in the world was he touching him like this? Did he need to actually open his eyes to show he was awake? No. He was curious to see how this would turn out.

Forcing himself to ignore the touching, Akito tried to focusing on falling back asleep. Since the other wasn't putting up a fight about being held, he decided he would just continue to sleep before it did become a problem. Yet he couldn't himself fall asleep fully, curious why the other was touching him. Hotaru seemed like the type who was touchy, but never displayed this kind of touching, or at least not in front of the newborn, of course he'd assume that the other didn't like these kinds of touches. The brunette made sure to loosen his grip in case the other wanted to get out of bed, rather than having to be actually woken up for him to leave. He would still pretend as if he was sleeping now, he was only half awake after all. Opening his eyes would bring him completely out of sleep, he didn't want that. He would rather sleep the entire day away.

Akito's straight face being contorted in these ways made him feel like this was one of the best mornings he had in a long time, it was a great start, he no longer cared about complaining to the newborn about this in the same way. Rather than scolding him, he might just make tease and fun of him for it. Hotaru rubbed his cheek a little, lowering his hand after having enough satisfaction from it, leaving him to study his face close up. How many times did it pass by in his mind that Akito looked so much better without that furrow between his eyebrows? A lot... The newborn smiling made him look twice as good. Sighing softly, he made the brunet's lips turn into a little smile, but when he stopped forcing it there, his face naturally went back into the poker face that was him sleeping.

Akito didn't have a lot to smile about, did he... No more family or friends. His life was inside out after becoming the thing he hunted. No longer human, he had to now live off of a weird vampire that kept him at home all the time. Nothing to do in the day... Hotaru wouldn't be so happy, so how come he still hoped to see Akito smile more? It only happened a hand's worth of times, less than that. This person cared a lot about him, so he wanted Akito to be more happy too, that was the least he could do.

Hotaru looked at him a bit longer and ended his observations with giving the newborn's head a brief comb through his hair before turning around and getting out of bed, muttering, "Time to get you some clothes..." Akito could trust Hotaru with buying decent clothes. More than himself, he bet. Because he was in his own room for once, he started to undress and take some clothes out of the closet for once, not the suitcase. That suitcase was only convenient in the first day of pretending to leave the house for two whole weeks and for when he didn't want to face Akito, so he should just stop being so distant about something that didn't matter. It's not like the newborn was the kind of pervert to watch him change clothes for source material.

He got socks on after getting dressed, making his way out of the room. He knew what kinds of clothes he was going to get Akito, but he was thinking of other things to get. A new scarf was the thing he added to his list of things to get too and now he was wondering if he should get other things too. To help with Akito's boredom that is. Would he enjoy games? If he did, he had no idea what genres he'd like at all... He sighed. Hotaru didn't know what to get. If he saw something interesting, he'd get it. First priority was getting clothes.

Akito could still feel his face being mushed and made into awful faces, at times he almost laugh, but sooner or later the other stopped before he got to that point. Then his lips made into a smile, he didn't like that much. Being forced to smile was the worst, he'd smile when he wanted to. Even if it wasn't often, he would smile. Which was a surprise to him, he rarely smiled a real smile in his lifetime. When he's with Hotaru he's smile more often than any other part of his life. Maybe he was being kept in the apartment all the time, nothing to do, at least it was with Hotaru. Hotaru seemed to brighten up his life, something he would never admit out loud, but he knew that was the case. The older vampire caused a change of pace for him, which he didn't mind anymore. He did in the beginning though, not liking being pulled from his comfort zone. Was that really his comfort zone? Not really, it was just a bubble he created from the people around him. Hotaru popped if, welcoming himself in without a problem.

When Hotaru decided to move off of the bed, Akito decided to grab a pillow and hug that, returning to the slumber from whence he came. He could get up later, right now all he wanted to do was sleep a little more, catching in some extra hours if he could. Not that there was anything to stop him, Hotaru never seemed to mind his sleeping all the time much. The newborn's body did, it was constantly aching, wanting to move around, and he continued to make it sleep. Sleeping passed time for him, cured boredom, not much else he could do besides if. Unless he wanted to be generous and deep clean Hotaru's apartment, something he really didn't want to do. He would put off ever doing that out of boredom as much as he could. He loved cleanliness, didn't mean he had to like cleaning itself.

A few hours later the newborn had finally decided to wake up, noticing Hotaru was gone. Clothes, he was supposed to get new clothes, which excited him. He didn't care what he got really, as long as it fit him. He was tired of using some stranger's clothes and his only one set. He cared most about the underwear, wanting to stop wearing someone else's. He got out of bed, heading into the kitchen, opening the refrigerator. He scanned it until he found the apple juice boxes, grabbing the entire thing wrapped in plastic. He wasn't meaning to feed into the teasing Hotaru decided to give him for not wanting to drink, he just really liked apple juice. He sat on the couch, opening them up. He grabbed one and w plastic straw, sticking it through, starting to drink the first box. This may be childish, but he didn't care. He was thirsty, it was available and convenient.

After all the juice boxes were gone, he cleaned up his trash mess only to return to the couch, waiting. Akito made this a big routine to wait for Hotaru until he got home, it really was like he was a dog. Dog. The dog collar, what had happened to it? Was the newborn still going to be forced to wear the dreadful thing? He hoped not, he wasn't going to be willing like before. He wouldn't wear that specific collar, if Hotaru got him his own then he would consider it more, but he couldn't wear that collar. It didn't sit right with him knowing Yuu gave it to Hotaru to use which it was being used, with another person. Hotaru was lying to Yuu because Akito was wearing it, he didn't want to be the one to be faulted for being forced to wear it. That just wasn't something he wanted to deal with.

Hotaru went to the mall or the clothes, it was a buss ride away, but it was worth it because he wanted to get a good variety of things for his dress-up doll, Akito. For most people, they had day jobs, so the vampire went into the mall with a small amount of people in it. The first store he went into was just the same, it was perfect. He didn't need to be tortured with a lot of people around him while his thirst still yearned to be quenched in a less shameful way than what he had done with the scarf yesterday night. It could have been worse. He could have been attempting to directly suck the blood from it, which would have been more gross. Hotaru shivered just thinking about it.

Being up close and personal with Akito's pants and his underwear, he felt like he could make a good estimate for his waist size. He picked out two pairs of pants, they were two different sizes, but that was just in case if one of them fit more than the other. He could take the one that didn't fit back... The underwear was easier since the sizes ranged better in a single pack, Hotaru getting two packs of simple blacks and grays. He knew he'd be happy about these after making a face when he was told he had to wear someone else's pair that he had kept for a keepsake, but he didn't just stop at these pairs. He really did go to the woman's section and get a black laced undergarment that he'd really hope to get Akito to wear one day... Akito would never put it on any time soon. Or maybe never at all... Thats what crossing your fingers meant though!

After giving himself a good laugh imagining Akito with such sexy clothing on, he finished up getting the other clothes he wanted Akito to have. Socks, a variety of shirts he would like to see the newborn wear, and he also got him a thick sweater, so just in case if he left the apartment on whatever terms, he could wear something that could help him from the cold more. He could have ended the shopping right there, he was already carrying enough bags, but he didn't. There was still time before he had to get ready for work, so he'd utilize this spare time for getting Akito things to do. He bought a very strange combination of things. A jump rope, a thousand piece puzzle of a bunch of yellow ducklings cuddling together, a deck of cards and, finally, one of those adult coloring books with colored pencils. The jump rope was for exercise and everything else was for passing time. He could just picture coming home to a giant house of cards... He'd actually like to see that! He's never seen a real house of cards before in real life. After getting himself a new red scarf, Hotaru felt like he did good this run of getting things for Akito, but he felt like it wasn't complete after passing the pet store. He got Akito a collar and a leash, but it wasn't for an actual dog and this collar wasn't 15 dollar cheap like the one before. Real, thick leather colored black with smaller, less dramatic studs made of real silver, this one was an upgrade, but he bet Akito wouldn't have expected a collar.

He'd make the newborn wear the collar, but just like all other activities from now on, Akito has to be the one to desperately want it, or else he didn't get anything from him. It'll be a trip, he couldn't wait to have his Akito look up at him with those needy eyes... Hotaru sighed with a big smile as he got in a cab to go back home, returning to his apartment within the hour. Coming in with a grin, he saw Akito on the couch and put down the bags by the couch, "Good evening, Aki-chan," he greeted, in a great mood. It was stunning how waking up in someone's arms could make him kick off the day so well and continue having him be joyful and sparky like his usual self, "Come and look what I got you, I think you'll be very happy."

Akito still had plenty of time to waste while waiting for the other. He attempted to nap, the couch ended up being too uncomfortable. He decided to do go sleep in the room, that changed in seconds. He went in, made the bed, grabbed a pillow, returning to the couch. He was going to wait for Hotaru on the couch, he knew he was going to return soon. It wasn't like when he waited up and the other never showed, driving him close to insane. He would be a good boy, waiting patiently for his master. Like good dogs should do. He was a good dog, only for Hotaru would he ever be this good. The hours went by so slowly as he just sat, staring at the door, waiting for it to open. Is this how animals really felt when they were waiting up for their owners? What a horrible feeling of loneliness and boredom. He hated this so much, surely animals felt the same way.

The door finally opened after waiting so patiently. The newborn was ready to just jump out of his seat. When Hotaru put the bags down, he was much more hesitant to grab them than he thought he would be. Earlier he didn't dwell on what the other would get him, now he seemed nervous to even look. He didn't get a say in anything the other got him, what if it was all stuff he knew the newborn wouldn't like? It was nerve wracking, but he grabbed for one of the bags at random. That bag just happened to be the pet store bag. He pulled out the leash and collar, staring at them intently. This collar was much prettier than the collar he was previously forced to wear. Forced. Was he really forced? He could've taken it off at any point in time, the other wasn't exactly making him do it. Perhaps it was reversed psychology being used.

The newborn dropped the collar and leash to the side of him, deciding what he would do with it later. He would put it on or he wouldn't, not many options he had with it. Hotaru could try to put it on, he could just take it off. There was no way he was going to be forced to wear it while he still had the use of his hands. It would just be a constant battle of if he wore it or not. He reached for a bag full of clothes, finding the pants, he rummaged through another bag, grabbing a shirt at random and finding the women's garments. He frowned, that certain irritation coming back in so soon. He threw the panties at Hotaru, grumbling. "Not going to happen Hotaru. Never," he mumbled. He found the pack of underwear, deciding to just change in the living room. He had nothing to hide anymore, the older vampire already got to see him multiple times. He wasn't bothered by it anymore.

He stripped off all his clothes, quickly putting the new ones on after removing their tags. He didn't really care if he was putting on a show or not, those clothes were dirty and they weren't his. Now he was being presented with clean clothes he was going to change immediately, even if that meant in front of the older vampire. The pants fit nicely, the shirt a night tighter than he would've liked, but he could deal, it worked. He placed anything that fell on the ground out of the bags, nearly back in where they belonged, except for the panties. That was never going to happen, ever. "Thanks, I'm really glad you did this," he spoke in a softer tone than when he saw the underwear. He flashed a smile at the other, his eyes dropping to the collar. He grabbed it, removing the sticker tag, putting it on. He just didn't feel complete without it anymore, he grew used to the leather being pressed against his neck. This one felt much nicer than the other one, not rubbing as much. "The collar is nice, you have okay taste." He looked over at the other, curious to see how he looked, having Akito put on the collar without being told.

Akito could have been putting on a show, but he wasn't looking the entire time he was changing. He took his scarf out of one of the bags and had went to put away that and his coat and shoes. Hotaru smirked when Akito found the panties and luckily caught them, "You can't shoot a guy down for trying," he said with a playful pout on his face, mumbling, "If you won't keep them, I will..." Girls underwear weren't even cheap. It seemed like the less fabric that is used, the more it costs. Talk about tough knock life. He was glad he wasn't a chick who's have to spend so much money just to have nice underwear.

From where he stood, he watched Akito finish putting on he clothes, smiling. The shirt did look smedium on Akito, but he wasn't going to say anything about it because it made the newborns body more nicely defined. If that wasn't good enough for his eyes, the smile he was given topped it off. He closed the closet door and leaned on it with his arms crossed, watching him put on the collar. He wasn't even told to put it on, Hotaru should have expected him to accept it so easily like this. Akito was a good dog always at the end of the day. The dog that had ran away from home and got lost. Hotaru thought how he would never get over how relieved he was to find him and bring him back home. That nice memory was cracked after the newborn commented on his taste, he squinted, "Okay? Thats it? It's nice? Akito, come on," he shook his head and came right to him, pushing Akito's chin up to get a better look of the collar that was on him, "It looks so good on you! Its... actually more than just that."

The older vampire ran his fingers over the collar and then gently dragged his finger up Akito's soft neck, "It looks quite sexy... And thats good. I can't have my precious dog walk around with a cheap, flimsy collar that doesn't look the absolute best on him." He took his hand in the newborn's hair and brushed his fingers against the nape of his neck, "But I'm a little insulted. My taste is just 'okay'? I know I taste a lot better than that, Akito..." Purring, he drew his hand back and patted Akito on the head, then turned his back on him to close up the suitcase that has been in the living room for far too long, "Now, excuse me, I have clothes to put away. And I also have to get ready for work. I got you stuff to do when I'm not around. Don't get me wrong though, I love coming home to my pet waiting patiently on the couch for me to come home"

With a click of the tongue, Akito made sure the collar was nice and secure, but not too tight. His comment seemed to irritate the other just a bit, having him come just to push his chin up for a better look. "I can't see how it looks on me, you can though. I'll just go off what you say then. I think the collar looks nice, that's all there is to it," he hummed, flinching when the finger came in contact with his neck. Hearing the part about the flimsy collar made him want to laugh, wasn't he just wearing something along those lines just a day ago? He was, so what changes about that collar to Hotaru? He seemed to love it at first, is this collar that much better than the other one he wore? It didn't matter, he was wearing the new one now. That's all that matters. He liked it, though he didn't see it as sexy, he still liked it.

"Your taste is better than okay? You really love to brag, I don't think it's as good as you say," he spoke softly, rubbing where the other had decided to touch him. He was fine with the touching, but he would naturally tense and attempt to pull away out of the years of hated being touched. Each time he had to remind himself it was Hotaru touching him, then that made many problems form. Questions of why he was special enough to touch the newborn running through his head. Hotaru seemed like he would touch him even if he didn't like it, that was how it was for him in the beginning, so it was okay because he grew used to it. That didn't seem like the full reason however the newborn wasn't going to dig much into it, not wanting to know the actual answer for it. That only seemed like more problems ready to arise.

The newborn grabbed the leash, waving it by Hotaru. "What if I want to go for a walk though? I can put away your clothes when you leave, take me for a walk. I have don't know the routes of this place and I'm bound to get lost again if I try to leave on my own," he whined slightly. Akito wanted out of the house, just for some fresh air, but he wasn't willing to leave again after getting lost once. He was even willing to use the leash, hoping it was enough to get Hotaru to take him without having to beg. Which he wasn't exactly willing to do anyway, he wasn't in the mood for it. "Come on, just a small one. I promise I'll behave." That was the most he was willing to do, even a please wasn't going to come out of his mouth. He was stuck inside day in and day out, he didn't car and if he had stuff to do now, he wanted a walk. Hotaru needed to walk his dog before he went crazy again. Even if they did have one the night before.

Bragging, yes, he liked to do that, but only when the moment was right. In his head, he had all the time in the world to blow himself up with bragging and self proclaimed specialities, if he spoke it our all the time, he looked like a brat, which he wasn't. A brat couldn't control their own bragging. Smiling, he turned his to face Akito, his rose colored eyes looking at him from top to bottom "Oh?" But recently, Hotaru didn't have to make himself feel better all on his own, he had a puppy that made him feel great. Akito asking to be walked just like a dog, showing his master the leash.... Perfect. But even perfect can be better. "Sorry, but that's not how dogs ask their owners for walks. If you can't respect me as your owner, then you don't get rewards like that."

Possibly the best part of this was the fact that this was no real dog leash, it was thin and blatantly one for kinky human beings, the collar too. Anyone on the street would see it and that would bring plenty of attention to himself and his well behaved dog. Though he wouldn't be using it if Akito didn't beg better. "As soon as I woke up, I left to go to the mall. I come back and instead of walking you, I can get a few things done and relax. I really would love to walk you, Aki-chan, but I could be doing something else instead." He gave him a false look apology before continuing off to the room. Pushing it more than he had to, yes, possibly. But it was true. He didn't have to walk him. He'd be working all night, he'd start getting really hungry from being around a lot of humans, and he could just be chilling. Not going back outside. If Akito wanted to go outside by himself, by all means. He wouldn't be able to go far, but it was fresh air and that would be enough for the brunet for a little while.

Akito pouted, being told he practically needed to beg of get what he wanted. He already decided he wouldn't even go as far as saying please, there was no way he was going to beg. Too bad. A walk sounded nice. He dropped the leash when the other gave him that fake look of apology, walking off. "Oh well! I tried," he called out to the other as he walked away. If he really wanted to go for a walk it would have to be a short one by himself. It wouldn't do much if he did decide to leave, they both knew he would come back in the end. His only worry was he'd get lost again. He didn't know this area very well, he hadn't left the apartment more than twice, of course he'd worry about getting lost if he did once. Having to wait in the cold for Hotaru to find him was hard enough. Either he would go without the walk or take a very short one, plain and simple. Nothing more to it. He just had to choose sooner or later, at least before the day ends.

The newborn bent down, looking through the bags, making sure the other didn't put anything else in from the women's section. The panties were nice for a girl. Not him. He'd never wear them, they didn't seem like they would be flattering on him either. Not that it mattered of course. He still wouldn't have worn them. The brunette looked through, happy to find nothing else in there that he wouldn't wear. Hotaru's taste in clothes wasn't as bad as he expected him to be, or he just expected the older man to get him the worst kinds of clothes to wear. He looked through all of the activities the man got through him, seeing the jump rope. That wouldn't be happening anytime soon. He likes the duck puzzle out of everything. That would waste the most time for him, even if he did get a headache afterwords.

He got up, leaving the bags where they were, planning on taking care of them later. He walked in the room, sitting on the bed, watching the other. "Are you still hungry?" The question was rhetorical, he knew Hotaru was still most likely hungry. He hadn't taken much blood yesterday, isn't enough to ride him over for the night. "You could drink from me again, I wouldn't mind." Telling the other what he could do, Hotaru already knew that, Akito was just going to press it. He was offering it himself, the other should take it, at least to the brunette he should. "I'm fine with being hungry for awhile, I'm used it by now." He looked at the other, watching him like a hawk. He really didn't know what to expect, a yes or a no. Hotaru was becoming highly unpredictable, saying and doing things he didn't anticipate at all. It was becoming an annoyance for the younger man to try and deal with me reactions from the raven haired vampire. He couldn't take much more.

Blood wasn't a topic that he would have liked to cover just before going to work. He don't want it to be a topic after last night, pathetically drinking watery blood from the scarf like some starving coyote. Hotaru swallowed the saliva in his mouth and just simply didn't face Akito. He didn't need to in the first place. Putting the correct clothes back on hangers, he didn't need to face him. But now, he also didn't want to face him now. He'd just think about the taste of his blood again, then be pushed to drink it even more without Akito needing to say anything else. Having to feed from someone after last drinking from someone with such rich blood would be disappointing to drink, but he'd make do.

"Well, just because you're used to it, doesn't mean I should do it," he said, clearing his throat, putting back clothes into his closet from his suitcase right beside his foot. He would still call Akito a dog, he could try and make him beg, but making him starve so badly again wasn't something he was willing to do after yesterday. Akito was stubborn half of the time, so Hotaru couldn't possibly say much that would change his mind, but that didn't stop him from trying anyways, explaining further, "After work hours, I'll just go home with someone else like I usually do. It's not a big deal," he chuckled. The thing is, he felt like drinking from other people was risky. You never know who that person could be and how they react to having someone bite into their neck and drink their blood. With his friends, it was a lot simpler, he was more accustomed to them. He knew that when they were drunk and on the verge of passing out, they'd never remember what happened.

"It would be a lot easier if you just accepted my kindness. It's not that big of a deal. I thought you liked my blood, why are you refusing?" It was obvious Hotaru enjoyed his blood, though he wouldn't toot his own horn about it. The newborn would only bring it up when it was necessary, such as a time like now. He was confused why Hotaru was refusing, even stating he would take someone home to drink. Isn't easier just to drink from someone who was convenient like Akito? He was offering his blood, like a present for the other to take. He had enough to prevent him from being on the point of starvation like he was. Unless it was to the point of on the verge of death, he would be fine. The pain wasn't as noticeable when it was small hunger, easily mistaken for a sore spot. The brunette knew he couldn't make the other drink his blood, even if he tried to convince him with kindness or using the taste against him, in the end if Hotaru didn't drink it, he didn't drink it. End of story. It's not the end of the world.

The newborn sighed, rubbing his eyes as he yawned. "If you are that against then okay. I won't try and convince you to drink it, I just think it would be easier for you," he said quietly. He laid down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. He was yawning out of being still for so long, bored, unable to do much else besides sit on the bed. Not true, he had the activities he could work on, not in the mood for the headache inducing puzzle, or the irritating card games he could play for hours. He would wait until Hotaru was gone. While he was there, he could use his as a way to cure the boredom, though it was only getting worse even if he was talking with him. "Did you ever apologize to that friend of yours for me?" Deciding to make a new conversation, he looked at the other lazily. He was curious to know if Yuu ever got his sorry from Hotaru, unsure if they were still talking or not. It wasn't his business, he wouldn't pry. All he cared about was that his apology was said.
