Name: Cyll

Age: Unknown, but looks to be in his early twenties

Hair: White and silky

Eyes: Orange

Personality: He is always careful and curious when it comes to his surroundings.

Bio: At a young age, he came to realize that he didn't look the same as his family, seeing himself in a reflection. At the same time he came to see how he was a little different, he heard a loud crash of thunder from the sky... He took that as a sign. To him, it meant that he was special, that he came from the sky. Cyll quickly came to believe that there was a god behind everything, so he speaks to the plants, he speaks to the rain, he speaks to everything because he thinks it listens to him. Cyll also has dreams sometimes of being in the 'clouds' and he sees a creature in white there that looks like him more than his family. This strengthened his beliefs and in that dream, thats where he heard him be called 'Cyll', so he stuck with that name.

Likes: Sleeping in safety, eating fruit, exploring, looking up at the sky and talking with the gods.

Dislikes: Swimming, the Ahki, having to hide from predators, being on watch duty.

Extras: He writes scribbles on his body in the juices of one of the fruits. It illuminates on his skin when he feels strong emotions and when it rains, he makes sure to stand in the rain as a form of renewal... Cyll doesn't know what he's writing because his eyes are closed and he lets the 'gods' move his hand for him.

He knows some words because of the dreams he has, but but cannot speak or understand anything outside outside of what he knows.

Cyll had been very busy for some time... There had been something that came from the sky that came to the jungle. Just that was crazy and it scared off the whole family, going deeper into the forest to stay safe... It was his self appointed duty to check it out and see what it was. Cyll touched it with his own fingers and the cold surface left the tips of his finger tingling. He's never seen it before and judging by how his family reacted, it was new to them too. He thought that the big cold thing was interesting enough, but then creatures were coming out and they looked even funnier than the thing they came out of! Cyll watched them and followed them for the entire time they were there, seeing them touch the plants and catch some of the animals. What were they doing?

The day came where the creatures went back into the big cold thing and he watched them go off and back into the sky. It was... an experience? He didn't get to learn anything at all, being just as clueless as he had been on the first day. Cyll shook himself and went back to tell the others it was gone, but they refused to go back because they were still there. But he saw them leave, all five of them. But wasn't there another one? Rushing back to the place the ship was, he climbed down the tree and looked around, eventually spotting one of the creatures that was left behind. How unfortunate of it... He stayed above in the trees, but would peek his head out of the leaves to get a better look at the thing.

He regretted not making contact with the strange animals, so this was his chance to do that, wasn't it? The tree he was in had small fruits in them, which in scale of 'small' on earth, it was the side of his hand. Cyll plucked one that was nearby and bit the bottom of his lip, aiming it at the creature and throwing it. The fruit hit the creature on the head and because it did, he hid back away under the large leaves of the trees, his eyes looking out at him though, just so see what would happen.

"Natsuragi-san?! Maki-san!! Ritsu—Ouch!" Something hit Nagi on the head. It was a small fruit, the size of an orange. Does it rain fruit on this planet? Interesting... waiiiiiit Nagi looked up into the trees, and was pretty sure he saw a flash of white. Did some animal throw this? Ugh, I'm so irritated since it seems my "fellow" researchers have left me behind... Nagi decided to be mean, and threw the fruit back up into the tree. "Ah—!" Nagi heard a sound coming from the tree. Well... might as well do some more research until those traitors come back and retrieve me... Nagi dropped his data in-putter and reached for a tree branch. Pulling himself up, Nagi began to climb the tree. "Eeep!" The animal seemed to have gotten scared, and leaped to another tree. Nagi sighed. Jumping off the tree, he decided to throw some more fruits at the creatures to relieve stress. Picking up a soft, purple fruit, he chucked in the direction he thought the creature was most likely in. Doink. A fruit hit him on his head, as he searched for another projectile. Looking up, he narrowed his eyes. Oh, this is getting serious, you little rascal. Nagi thought. In no time, he had a stockpile of fruit to throw at the creature. After 15 minutes or so, Nagi had finally run out of fruit, and was also covered in fruit. Reflecting on his childish behavior, he looked for a place to clean himself. Oh! Right, didn't we see a pond over there? Nagi walked over to the body of water and stripped. He looked at the bluish, clear liquid that had an unearthly glow. Looks close enough to water... Nagi shrugged and stepped closer to the pond.

After having many things being thrown at him, he was starting to feel like he should never have tried to contact it in the first place... Cyll did learn that it wasn't the overly aggressive type like some things were around here. If he threw a fruit at a Ghik for example, it would chase after him and follow his scent for a long time. He learned his lesson about that a while ago. It was about his turn to throw something at the creature because unlike whatever that was, he didn't run out of fruit. He plucked another fruit out of the tree and was going to throw it until he saw it starting go go away.

He watched it and where it was going off to, his eyes watching and his feet following via branches. With a bite of the fruit, he got its purpley insides over his mouth now, as if he didn't need any more of the paint-juice over him from being the target of multiple projectiles. Cyll wasn't happy knowing he was walking straight to... Dropping the fruit, he quickly came down the tree, sliding down the smooth trunk all the way to the jungle floor. This was a new creature to him and for it, this place was entirely new. It wouldn't know the danger of going near the water.

Growling, he grabbed it by the waist and pulled it back, a good few feet away from where it was standing. Cyll didn't know how the thing would react to seeing him, but it couldn't end it's life in such a horrible way. Normally he let nature do it's thing, seeing baby animals wander from their parents and into the deathtrap that was the deep pond water. In fact, he tried not to watch. It was too disgusting, even for him...

Cyll went in front of the creature and blocked him from going into the water, beating his fist into the slim grass at his feet while giving it a mean stare so it hopefully wouldn't try to pass him and meet its end. Cyll wasn't completely bare naked like his family, he took the white leaves of one of the large trees and used it as 'clothing'. He didn't have to do that, but he wanted to closely resemble the god he had seen in his dream. Who was wearing white.

The fruit is glowing... Nagi thought, awed, at the slightly shining fruit flesh that was beginning to turn rather sticky. I wonder if there are fish in the pond. Nagi liked fish, and beginning to get hungry, he wondered if he could somehow catch something, and cook it over a fire. "I seem to have reverted to the primitive times," Nagi chuckled. Okay. First get clean, and then food. Stepping forward, he prepared to jump into the pond.

"Oof!" Something latched around his waist and pulled him back. Turning around, he saw a face. A human-like face. "I see that there are perverts on this planet too..." Nagi said, completely calm, expression not one bit different. The human like creature moved in front of him, separating him from the pond.

"I need to get this stuff off. Please move." Nagi pointed to his arm. Looking closer, he saw that the creature-human was also covered with some sticky residue. Along with the thin layer of fruit flesh, he had intricate designs drawn all over his body. Dancing and twirling along the length of his arm, adorning his chest, the strange symbols were everywhere. Looking up, he saw a head of brilliant white hair, and an innocent looking face with large, fire tinged orange eyes.

"Were you the one who threw fruit at me?" Nagi asked, cautiously. He had read somewhere in the data records on Earth, about ancient tribes who existed thousands of years ago, now extinct, who were wild and actually primitive. They had an interesting, albeit terrifying religion involving gory human sacrifices... and they also were very artistic, drawing symbols everywhere, and anywhere. They were also stark naked for the most part, although this human-creature seemed to have some sort of dignity, with his white leaf loincloth.

The creature didn't respond. It just beat its hands on the ground, as if trying to tell Nagi something. "Can you speak? Hi. Hola. Ni Hao. Salve. Bonjour. Namaste..." Nagi rattled off "hi" in all the languages he knew. But still, the creature didn't respond. Nagi sighed. He copied the creature, and beat his hands on the ground, observing it carefully. It seems I've really reverted back to the primitive times... communicating by beating my hands on the ground.

It was speaking, but it wasn't as angry as Cyll thought it would be for touching it. It was saying a bunch of jumble he couldn't understand, leaving him to keep his eyes on him and stand his ground... And now It was doing the same he was doing. Beating your hands on something meant 'go away' to him, so being told to go away after trying to save it, Cyll frowned and came closer with a growl, baring his set of human teeth.

If these creatures came from the sky, then was it possible that they were somehow related to the gods? Gods wouldn't be stupid enough to go near the water, were they? Cyll sat on the floor and looked at the water, then at the creature again, taking a deep breath, "No... Bad. Water." His words had gotten better since the first time he's learned them from the God in his dream. Nothing else on the planet was able to understand the words he has learned from his dreams, it was a shame that he couldn't share this special knowledge of his dreams. His family copied what he said sometimes, but that didn't count. One of his friends, a dark purple one, managed to get the idea about it though. It made him really happy to teach him something...

And now he hoped that this creature would understand. That would make him even more happier. Even more curious on what this thing was.

********************

The human(?) bared its teeth at Nagi. Is it trying to smile? Nagi wondered, slightly amused. Rubbing his arm, Nagi remembered that he was still covered in fruit. On impulse, he raised his hand to his mouth and licked. Sweet... with a slightly sour aftertaste. Waiiiiiiiit, I'm being dumb here... what if it's poisonous?! Nagi once more had a conversation with himself in his mind, before being startled back into reality. "No..." The creature in front of him seemed to be making a sound. "Eh, so you can speak?" After a rather long pause, the creature spit out 2 more words. "Bad. Water." The creature's pronunciation was quite strange, befitting another planet, I guess, Nagi thought. No bad water? Bad water no? Water bad no? Nagi scrambled the words around in his head, trying to understand. Is he trying to tell me the water is bad? Or is he trying to tell me no, the water isn't bad? Nagi decided to try something out. He side stepped around the creature, as if he was going to go attempt to go into the water again. Reaching out his hand, he made a motion as if to scoop some water into his hand.

******************

Okay. Nevermind. It must not understand him... He didn't like being ignored and the creature just went around him to try and get to the water again. Cyll squinted his eyes and went running again to pull him away from the water, "Bad!" he threw him away from the water's edge this time to make his point clear. They were already spending too long near the water, the creatures inside might be getting excited with hunger.

Cyll looked at the water and indeed saw a stick peeking out of the surface that wasn't there before. The native made a loud gasp and pointed at it, moving away from the water as well, "Bad! No. Bad water!" A stick out of the water suddenly was odd, that was a fact. But only the smart creatures on this planet knew it was a bad sign.

********************

The creature ran in front of Nagi, making it clear that he meant that the water was dangerous. A rather aggressive little thing, it once more grabbed Nagi and this time, even threw him away from the water. "Bad!" Nagi cracked a smile. Is he scolding me? The creature pointed at the water. Is he hydrophobic? Nagi looked, and the creature cried out once more, "Bad! No. Bad water!" Fear laced his voice, and he seemed to be pointing at a stick in the water. So this planet has trees that grow in water, huh? But the creature didn't look like the type to be scared by a tree. Perhaps it's poisonous? Nagi racked his brain for all the botany knowledge he'd gathered before enrolling in the wrong college. No... it wasn't a plant. Aha! He remembered in a textbook somewhere that some underwater creatures developed plant-like characteristics, sometimes for camouflage, other times to trap prey. "Is it an animal?" Nagi attempted to communicate with the human-creature again.

********************

The words it said went completely over his head, but it sounded like a question. Cyll stared at it for a while and looked at the branch in the water than hasnt moved. The things in the water were very patient if it meant getting a special meal... It freaked him out just from being around the pond, "Bad..." if this thing didn't know what was under the water, hed have to prove it. Cyll gave a grunt, going to a bush and pulling off a branch with berries on it.

Giving the creature a another long stare, he threw it into the water, "Bad," he pointed at the floating thing just before a teeth riddled maw came up from the water and swallowed it. The lack of light on this create made it look as of darkness had teeth.

Cyll looked at the strange creature again and beat his fist on the ground again as if telling him You saw it? You saw it?

********************

He stared at Nagi. Then looked at the stick in the pond again. It seemed to really scare him. "Bad..." he said, again. It seems he has a very limited vocabulary, Nagi observed, like a true researcher. Without notice, the creature pulled a branch off of a bush and threw it into the pond. Nagi watched carefully. He wanted to know what sort of creature it was.The water rippled, and a mouth rose from the water, lined with sharp, glinting teeth, that also happened to glow. "Bad." It must have been the tenth time he said "bad", Nagi smirked. The mouth opened, wide, and swallowed the branch. What horrible looking teeth. Nagi shuddered.

Thump Thump The human(?) beat his hands on the ground again. Nagi decided he would find out exactly what this creature was. And to see if it knew more words than "water", "bad", and "no". Pointing to himself, Nagi said, "Name. Nagi. Nagi. Name. Me, name, Nagi." Still pointing to himself, Nagi repeated his name another ten times and then pointed at the creature. "You. Name? Name, you?" Nagi felt kind of dumb saying such things, but he was curious, as to just how advanced the creature's brain was.

********************

Cyll watched what he was doing, point at himself and saying Name and Naki over and over again. It was Naki? He's never heard of that before. Having repeated the same thing plenty of time, he thought he was starting to understand, tilting his head and pointing at himself.

"Name..." he wasn't so sure if It was right, but it was his turn to start talking, "Cyll. Name. Cyll." He licked his lips, tasting the fruit he took a bite of before. The purple fruit happened to be his favorite of them all. Because it was his favorite, thays why he chose it's juices to be written on him...

Cyll knew he was different from his family, but he was unaware to how manu things separated himself from the alian primates. His intelligence for example. Cyll learned fast. He thought about things longer than the other dumb animals... To him, it was because he was related to gods. It was actually because he was a special human being.

********************

At first, the creature just stared blankly at Nagi. Nagi stared back, wondering what was going on inside his mind, but suddenly the creature's face showed an understanding. It cocked its head to the side, in a gesture Nagi found rather cute. Pointing to himself, he started to say something. "Name...Cyll. Name. Cyll." He licked his lips, seemingly nervous. Cyll, huh. Interesting name... Nagi thought. "Cyll." He said it out loud as if to confirm with him. I'm pretty sure he's human... definitely a human. "Cyll. Are you human? Hu-Man." Nagi articulated his words, in an attempt to help Cyll understand what he was saying.

********************

And now, he most certainly had no idea what a hooman was. "Hooman?" He looked down, his eye brows furrowed and because he really didn't have any idea what he was saying, Cyll shook his head like a dog shaking off water, except he was shaking off the question. Ignoring it. "Nagi, Cyll. Nagi, Cyll..." He mumbled, going to the tree he came down from and going to the first branch, "Cyll." He said patting his chest and grabbing a fruit. Nagi was still the last person who threw a fruit and, well. He wanted to play a bit now. "Nagi." He threw a fruit at him again, making cooing noises in amusement.

********************

Nagi's hand shot up and caught the fruit. Cyll obviously didn't know what a human was supposed to be, even if he was one. Cyll had a playful look on his face, and although Nagi wanted to question him more, he had a feeling it wouldn't be very effective anyway. Examining the fruit in his hand, he wondered if it would be okay to take a bite or two. He was getting awfully hungry... Surely Cyll, will stop me if I can't eat it... right? Or am I just being delusional, putting trust into someone who can't even speak to me? Deciding to take the chance, he bit into the fruit. A burst of flavor filled his mouth. The fruit on this planet is rather delectable... and it doesn't taste poisonous. Pulling another purple fruit off of a low-hanging branch, Nagi tossed it at Cyll, aiming for his chest.

****

"Oo~" Unlike the other times where he had to try and not get hit by the fruit, he caught it with two hands and was rather impressed with himself. Cyll took a bite bite from the fruit and started to come down again, his eyes not one leaving from Nagi.

So he taught it that the water was bad. Awesome... But now it was his chance to figure out what this thing was. It wasn't dangerous and it was giving him attention, which was nice to have. His family was afraid of this thing? Cyll sometimes forgot how paranoid and timid his kind was. He could be timid sometimes, but he was sure that Nagi wasn't going to hurt him.

Cyll kept the fruit in one hand as he stalked closer to Nagi, looking at his limbs, starting to mumble things that weren't exactly animalistic, but they weren't from any human language either. Upon standing up straight he blinked, "Nahaku?" He pointed upward, making she shape of the ship he saw with his hands to the best of his ability. He wanted to know where he came from. Nothing ever came from the sky that looked like them. "Gods?" He frowned, having a hard time trying to speak. Nagi had been saying a few words that he recognized, so at least it meant he might understand some other words he knew too. "You know gods? Sky... You came... From.... " they came from the sky, so if he wasn't a god, maybe he saw them when they came down from the sky.

Nagi watched as Cyll caught the fruit with surprisingly fast reflexes, and took bite out of it. He kept his eyes on Nagi the whole time, and Nagi got a bit nervous. However, Cyll's face seemed a bit softer, and Nagi hoped it that it meant he had put a little trust in him.

Cyll kept his eyes trained on Nagi, and seemed as if he wanted to communicate with Nagi somehow. If only he knew how to speak... actually, how come he doesn't know how to speak? Has no one ever taught him?

Lost in his thoughts, Nagi nearly jumped out of his skin when Cyll stepped closer to him. "Nahaku?" He was obviously trying hard to speak. Making a shape with his hands, Cyll spoke, well at least tried to, again. ''Gods? You know gods? Sky... You came... From.... " Observing him intently, Nagi tried to get the gist of what he was trying to say. "Are you talking about how we flew down with the mothership?" Nagi asked, trying to figure out what Cyll was making with his hands. "Gods... no I'm not a god—'' Nagi almost laughed. "I could never be a god... nor could Natsuragi-san, Maki-san or the other traitors..."

Seems like they really did forget about me...? Well, whatever, I found something interesting!

Cyll's lips pursed and he circled him quickly. All he got from what he said was no and god. He had a hard time believing that these things weren't related to god in some way... "Cyll," he then touched his chest, then pointed up to the sky, "From gods. I am not same as others." And by others, he means his family of alien primates. Of course he was different from them. "Cyll born from sky. From gods.." He dipped his fingers in the inside of the fruit, making new scribbles and lines on one of his cheeks. He adverted his eyes from Nagi to look at a few birds that were flying away from the high branches above their head. The tunes cries of the birds meant something.

He shut his lips and looked behind them, looking perked up and alert. The birds were always the best indicator to tell if something bad was nearby. The water was something that couldn't move and thankfully, nothing in there would be able to follow them. Other things... Cyll didn't know what was around, but if this creature was dumb enough to try and to near the water when he pushed him away, it might want to know what was coming this way. He took his hand with a grunt and led him away in a hurry.

The Ahki haven't been seen by him or his family in a while, maybe two weeks. Their luck might end today~ or not! He didn't know if it was an Ahki or not. Once thing was certain, he didn't want to see the eyes of those serpents, nor the glowing, flicking tongue it had when looking for prey.

"Cyll, from gods. I am not same as others. Cyll born from sky. From gods..." Nagi was worried for a moment. Has he been influenced by some kind of religious cult that believes they're gods...? I'm pretty sure he's human...

"Cyll, you're speaking more!" Nagi was surprised. That was the most talkative Cyll had ever been since they met, although they just had met, not too long ago.

Suddenly, it hit him. "Ahhh, by gods, do you happen to be talking about the researchers again? Do you still think we're gods? Well, we're not. And if you think that you are like us—meaning a human, then I think you're right. According to the recent studies done on Earth, it seems that humans are even more different from other organisms than previously thought. You see, what characterizes..." Nagi trailed off, realizing that Cyll wasn't listening. Not that he would have understood in the first place, though.

Nagi followed Cyll's gaze to a flock of birds that were flying across the sky. Their cries blended into one strange melody, that Cyll seemed to be listening intensely to. Something like a look of fear flashed across his face, and then it turned thoughtful. I find him really easy to read... you can literally read his face like book. Nagi found it quite entertaining to watch Cyll's thoughts cross his face.

"Ah!" Cyll grabbed his hand without notice, and pulled him even further away from the water. They entered a dark, slightly dismal looking forest. But it was wondrously enchanting at the same time. Small, round mushrooms glowed softly, and a fuchsia flower shined brilliantly. The forest was thick and dark, but it radiated light within.

Cyll was looking at him again, and he had a look that Nagi thought probably meant "the Hoo-man is dumb..."

Cyll looked around while pulling Nagi behind him, seeking signs from all around if it was safe... There was a small animal that ran off while they were passing by. Meaning that if they hadn't' come by, it wouldn't have been suspicious of any danger. That was good. He saw a lizard on a worn stump, probably taking a break from trying to get lunch. Good... Nothing around here seemed alarmed, so it was safe to say the thing that chased away the birds wasn't coming this way. Relieved, he relaxed his face and glanced at the creature behind him, letting go of his hand, "Hakooi, ka." He pointed at a tree and went towards it.

He climbed it like nothing, even with the fruit still in his hand. Climbing trees were second nature to him at this point, it was as natural to him as breathing the air around him. Settling on the first branch, he waved at Nagi to come up too, speaking more in his weird language. Cyll liked being in the trees more than the ground for the purpose of being able to get around easier. On the ground, it was just going left and right. Backwards and foreward. Up in the trees, there was left, right, diagonal, up, down, backwards and forewards... Predators here were more equipped for hunting on the ground, all except the Ahki, which have adapted to everything. They were the only creature to go into the water and survive. On top of that, he remembered how he never touched the ground until he got bigger. None of the young ones were allowed to play on the forest floor. He was taught that it was bad. To him now, he just thought that it wasn't as convenient him as the trees.

Cyll was looking around. Observing. Just like how Nagi was observing him right now. I watch him a lot, don't I? "Hakooi, ka." Cyll said, pointing at a large tree, with thin, waxy leaves, and smooth, peeling bark. "Eh?" Cyll began climbing it, with little to no effort at all. Nagi watched, as he settled on a branch. Waving at Nagi, and calling to him again, he seemed to be telling Nagi to climb up as well.

Nagi walked up to the base of the tree. Examining the smooth, unmarred wood, that also glowed, as did everything in the forest, he wondered what would be the best way to climb it. There weren't many small, low branches that he could use to hold his weight and pull him up to the branch Cyll was on. There also weren't many footholds he could use to inch up the trunk.

Staring up at Cyll, Nagi wondered how he managed to scale up the tree with such incredible finesse. Sighing, Nagi decided to give it a shot anyway. Jumping to give himself a little push to start, Nagi clung to the base of the tree... and slid off. Sighing, he repeated the process, sliding off like before. This he tried a good ten times before giving up.

A little irritated, Nagi rubbed at the sticky substance left by the fruit that he never got to wash off. You'd think that I'd be able to stick to the wood since it's so sticky... Nagi wondered if he'd be able to find and stack some rocks or wood to help boost him up a bit. Searching the forest, Nagi discovered some black, dusty rocks that were like charcoal, bits of dust flaking off everywhere. But when he tried to stand on them, they got crushed, and disintegrated into little piles of dust. How am I suppose to climb this...?!

Cyll's head was tilted when he watched and waited for Nagi to climb up. What was he doing? All he had to do was climb it, whats the big deal... The alien looked funny when he hugged the tree and slid down, raising his eyebrow and smiling. Then it went of to look for something. It was wasting so much time by doing silly, but Cyll couldn't say that it wasn't entertaining in a few ways to him, making more coos and chuckles up on the branch he was on. It might start to get upset from frustration wore soon, so he put the fruit to lean against the tree and it's branch, "Come." He said, sitting his legs over the side before his back fell backwards.

His legs still on the tree kept him from falling like a woman on the traipse, holding out his arms for Nagi to grab onto so he could be pulled up. Cyll's strength had to be great in order to survive here, so he was very confident he'd be able to pick up the other creature. He was easily able to pull him away from the pond and push him away, so that only made this easier to decide over. Cyll flexed his hands open and closed, telling him to hurry up.

If Nagi can learn how to climb better, he was sure that he'd be able to come with him to his family. It might not be the best kind of meet-up, because they were so timid, but if Cyll trusted it, they should too.. For the time being, he felt like he shouldn't bring him yet. For the sake of his kind, who were very faint of the heart. His mother, his caretaker, came to them and they were frighten by him. Little ol him... Nagi was a new creature with a weird face and weird skin. They would need some getting used to.

~~~~~
Cyll watched as Nagi tried to climb, again and again. Facepalming, Nagi blushed a bit. Kind of embarassing... isn't it... he thought. He heard Cyll chuckle, and blushed some more. "Come." Cyll said. In a blur, Cyll somehow flipped himself so that his arms reached down towards Nagi.
Nagi looked hesitantly at his outreached arm, unsure if the slight frame of Cyll could hold his weight. Cyll's hands twitched impatiently, and Nagi decided to just go for it. If we fall, I'll just make sure that I hit the ground first, and absorb the impact... Nagi, for some reason wanted to protect the innocent looking, unable- to-speak-properly boy. Errr... boy? Man? Nagi mulled over this as he grabbed Cyll's hand.
Woah! Nagi felt himself being pulled up with considerable speed. He felt the tree branch underneath him, and tried to balance. Ahhhh!!! Nagi, ever so clumsy, slipped, and fell. Hope this doesn't hurt too much, Nagi thought, as the ground rushed toward him.
~~~~~

Cyll watched Nagi balance horribly and saw from the distress in his movements that he'd fall over. It can't climb and it can't balance. This creature would most certainly be dead already, even if it wasn't going to get in the water. Nagi would be hunter by one of the predators, his thick armor-like flesh would be ripped off like a turtle, he'd either be killed on the spot or be alive while his insides were furiously eaten by a ravenous PoPo or a Leyprey... It's best not to imagine those things.

When Nagi actually fell, Cyll reacted by doing as he did before, but instead of waiting for his hands to be grabbed, he just managed to grab one of the other creature's feet. Nagi dangled and from being upside down, gravity went into play. He was glad to have saved it from falling, but seeing something fall off of it and hit the floor, his eyes widened. He made a 'ooooo' in curiosity and... He dropped Nagi.

The dark skinned native grabbed the branch and swung down, hitting the floor, but more specifically, accidentally on top on Nagi's back. "Ooo..." He grabbed the thing that fell, which was a small rock...? He tilted his head and looked closer at it. There was some weird stuff over it, but it was surely a rock. It was too hard to be anything else. Turning his head in the other way, he poked the stick that came out of it. Was it a root? No... There was only one sprout... It was actually a lollipop.

Cyll finally rolled off of Nagi and laid down on his back, looking at the pop and being too interested to check to see if he was okay.

"Ahhhhhhhh—eh?" Nagi was prepared to hit the ground with full force, but he was suddenly stopped, by a hand grabbing his foot. Ah, phew, Cyll's saved me again. He felt something sliding out of his pocket. Oh no! I think the lollipops I stole from Aki-chan are falling out! Nagi, ever the sweets lover had tucked away small candies everywhere in his clothing. And now, they were falling out... "Ooooo" Nagi heard Cyll coo, a curious lilt to his tone. "Uwahhh!" Nagi felt Cyll's hands loosen on his foot, and then drop him completely.

"Ooof! Ergh, Cyll, why—ack!" Landing on the forest floor, Nagi face-planted into the musty earth which smelled musky and strangely intoxicating. A moment later, Cyll came down from the tree, also landing on him. Cyll sat lightly on his back, looking at something. "Ooo..." Cyll had made several questioning noises after Nagi's "fall from grace". "What is it, Cyll?" Nagi asked, as Cyll rolled off of his back, eyes still observing whatever it was. Nagi sat up and looked at what was in Cyll's hands. Ah! A lollipop! Nagi looked around him. A few pieces of candy were scattered around him. Gathering them up, he came closer to Cyll. He was still, intently staring at the lollipop, brow furrowed. Poking at the stick, Cyll's expression was befuddled.

Gently taking the lollipop from Cyll's hands, Nagi unwrapped it, showing Cyll the translucent, bright blue color underneath. "It's called a lollipop." After thinking about it, Nagi pointed at the lollipop. "Name. Lollipop. Name. Lollipop." Now gesturing at his mouth, he said, "Eat. Lollipop. Eat." Reaching towards Cyll's face, Nagi tried to part his lips and stick the lollipop in. "Yummy," Nagi coaxed.

Cyll let Nagi take it back since it was his... he thought he was going to put it away, but he actually pulled off the outer layer of it, revealing the blue inside of it. Blue?! He perked up and his curiosity would have made Cyll snatch it from Nagi if he didn't give it back to his hands. It wasn't returned to his hands though, it was brought to his face. Nagi showed him how it was supposed to be eaten, so he wasn't very threatened by him bringing it so close to his face. He still stared at the alien with those blank, wondering eyes

"Yummy," he repeated in interest after what was like a full minute, opening his mouth on the word and put the candy ball in his mouth. Nagi kept saying lollipop and even said 'name' with it as well. He had never heard of anything like it before... nor had he tasted something like it either! Cyll's eyes widened with the sweet flavor sweeping cross in tongue. He's eaten sweet things before. Fruits, berries, nectar were all natural and were great to eat when he needed some extra energy. This kind of sweetness was artificial. And it was extremely sweet. It was completely not what he was expecting and he sucked on the candy with a gleam in his eyes.

Blue raspberry was the flavor of the pop, and Cyll identified it closely with one of the berries in his forest. They were hard to find and because a lot of animals liked the taste, predators liked to hang around the bushes in order to wait for prey to try their luck picking some. So tasting this, which was like that berry, but better, he was loving it. It wasn't like anything he's had before. The surface was hard, too hard to bite into, but the flavor just kept coming. "Lollipop!" He said with excitement, smiling and looking at Nagi's hand that had the rest of the candy in it. "Lollipop~ Mmm!" Cyll got up from laying down and came closer to the creature, trying to grab them to eat too.

Watching Cyll eat the lollipop was quite entertaining. At first, he seemed hesitant. Cautious. But as soon as he saw the blue underneath the wrapper, his eyes seemed to light up with curiosity and piqued interest. "Yummy," Cyll had said, an inquisitive look on his face. Popping the lollipop in his mouth, Cyll looked thoughtful for a moment, then a childishly cute look of ecstasy spread across his face. He really is like a child... I wonder if that would make me the mother...? Nagi smiled as Cyll, who obviously liked the lollipop tried to grab more from his hand. Deciding to be mean, Nagi offered an extremely spicy and sour lemon-ginger candy to Cyll. I wonder if he knows how to open it? Nagi smelled something milky and sweet. "Ah!" A chocolate was melting in his hand. Removing the paper covering as best as he could, Nagi licked at the creamy substance, but ended up smearing it everywhere. Tasty. "Now I've got chocolate on my hands and face..." Sighing, Nagi wondered how clean he could get without water. He hated feeling unclean.

Cyll gladly took other candy he was given to him, but touching the wrap of it, he realized that it was sealed just like the pop was. The candy in his mouth moved to his other cheek , the stick showing that, and brought the candy to his nose to smell the candy, the acidic sourness stinging his nose and making him cringe a little. Sour things weren't his thing, the smell reminded him of the nectar of one of the light flowers. The birds really liked it, so that's why he decided to try. Bad idea, but he learned not to drink the nectar from the yellow flowers.

He smelled something sweeter though, making him toss the sour candy to the side and come closer to the smell. Cyll took Nagi's hand and smelled it, "What is... This...?" It didn't smell as sugary as the thing in his mouth, but it somehow seemed better. The 'candy' being creamy was a plus as well. Cyll took the pop out of his mouth, his tongue a bright blue, and started to lick the chocolate off his hands.

He was using more and more of the language he always kept to himself. It was as if more words he didn't know we're coming out of his mouth somehow... He couldn't explain it... It truly was his god's work.

"Ahh, that tickles—" Nagi said as Cyll began to lick the chocolate off his hand. Cyll reminded him of a white cat he had had in elementary school. It was the same brilliant white Cyll's hair was, and it always stole Nagi's candy. Laughing, Nagi patted Cyll's head, but pushed him away. "It's chocolate! Cho-co-late. But don't lick it off my hands, it's unsanitary." Nagi reached into his pocket and pulled out another square of chocolate. Giving it to Cyll, Nagi, sunk down into the soft, grass-like plants that pillowed the ground. "Ahhhh, I'm tired... Oh yeah, hey, Cyll, is there anyway to get clean without going into that scary pond?" Nagi looked up t the sky. It was dark, but a different kind of dark than the dark you saw on Earth. The sky was dark here, but around him, everywhere, the plants were glowing, the rocks were glowing—it was a breathtaking scene.

Flipping onto his stomach, Nagi examined a small winged insect, that also glowed. Its wings were an iridescent rainbow, and they were shaped like the wings of a butterfly. It flitted around, landing on a silvery flowery. It's wings glowed a bit brighter for a split second, and suddenly, the flower withered. Eh? Blinking, Nagi watched blankly as the petals of the flower fell off, one by one. Like a true researcher, Nagi had to take records and at least try to understand. "Cyll, what is that insect doing?" Nagi gestured to the insect that had landed on another flower, a crimson one this time.

Cyll was enjoying the chocolate, he kept sitting up, looking down at Nagi. There sure we're places where they could go for water, but it the closest one he knew about was where the birds were before they all flew away. It probably wasn't a good idea to go yet, even though some time has passed from when they scrambled away. Caution was something that couldn't be lacked when it came to possible predators.

He kept savoring the candy, wanting to do that before telling the creature they should wait a little, but Nagi was distracted by a bug. When it asked him a question, he had a hard time contemplating on what he meant. Cyll went to the bug he was looking at and moved slower now, "This..." He took it gently by the wings, the bug trapped and only able to move its little legs and its antennae, "Eating flower... Nectar. Sweet." Smiling he got closer to Nagi and brought the insect closer as well.

And because the bugs ate such sweet things, he brought it closer to his mouth next. And then the ate it. "Yummy~"

"Yummy~" Cyll said, with a happy look on his face as he popped the insect into his mouth. "..." Nagi froze. "T-the bug... i-is yummy?!" "............................................................." Another long pause. Nagi's face didn't change expression. It was as blank as the sheets of homework Nagi often procrastinated on, in high school. Looking down at the ground once more, Nagi saw another glowing insect eating a flower. Afraid Cyll would also eat this one, Nagi quickly covered it with his hand and threw another chocolate at Cyll, in hopes of distracting him. "So, water..." Nagi smiled, sort of. "Ah—" The bug was buzzing under his hand. Lifting his hand off of the panicking insect, Nagi awaited Cyll's response.

Suddenly, an abnormally strong gust of wind rustled through the forest, leaves and glowing insects in its grasp. "The winds are really strong on Lustris, aren't they?" Nagi's hair whipped through the wind. Looking over at Cyll, he could see that his ivory hair wasn't faring very well either. Strong winds on Earth were usually the forewarning to a big storm. Grabbing Cyll's hand, Nagi wondered if looking for shelter would be a good idea. Cyll was probably more used to the weather on Lustris, but Nagi didn't want to risk it.

"Cyll, is there a cave or something we could go hide in?"

Licking his lips of the bug's juices, his eyes widened with the chocolate being tossed to him, taking that and put it in his mouth, even with the wrapper still on. He liked this candy much more than the other candies so it was worth eating the.. no it wasn't. He frowned and spit it to the side, sticking his tongue out in distaste of the texture of the wrapper on his tongue. That was when he noticed the wind as well, but he wasn't afraid of the bad weather. It meant that the gods were trying to give him a message. It could be a warning, or a hello, though with Nagi being here now, there must be something worthy in their messages.

Cyll didn't acknowledge Nagi taking his hand, looking in the direction the wind was going in. He always followed the wind and he shouldn't stop now. He flare his orange colored eyes at Nagi and pointed ahead, "It leads," then pointed to the sky, "They tell where to go." Cyll, squeezing his hand, pulled him forward quickly again. They would have to go into the trees eventually and this time, knowing Nagi had the same balance as a newborn Kaskkl, he was prepared to do a better job at guiding him upwards.

The wind continued to wisp their hair and the strength of it made it seem like the wind was pushing them to go faster. To Cyll, that was the gods leading him. In scientific terms, it was just gaining speed from going in the same direction as the wind. Concepts of science didn't exist in his mind, only survival and guesses of how the world worked.

Cyll popped the chocolate thrown at him into his mouth. Wrapper still intact. Will he ever learn?! Shaking his head, Nagi stumbled forward as Cyll pulled on his hand. "Hmm, the wind is so strong, it seems like it's almost... pushing us." Looking at Cyll, Nagi was curious as what Cyll intended to do. He was looking towards the trees again, an enigmatic expression on his face. "A-are we going to climb trees again?" Nagi asked, wondering if he'd have a chance to redeem himself. A chocolate wrapper drifted through the wind, and Nagi snatched it out of the air.

Pointing in the air, Cyll gestured at the sky. "It leads. They tell where to go." Nagi felt him squeezing his hand. "Who?" Nagi tried to figure out who, or what Cyll was referring to. Sometimes he felt that Cyll was just... out of it. Looking up, Nagi tried to find the "they". Nope, can't see anything... It was just a dark, open expanse.

Nagi wondered if it was smart to just follow Cyll blindly. He seemed to know what he was doing, but he didn't, or rather, couldn't communicate much.

"Nagi. Gods..." He said, full of wonder as he pulled Nagi on. The wind went on as well, but with a sudden swerve of the current, he took a sharp turn all of a sudden, "I will tell when there." Where was there? No, he didn't know at all. Cyll just let the wind direct him, soon, there were less bushes and such and more mushrooms. And not the small ones from before. The more steps they took, the fungus only appeared taller and bigger.

Cyll felt a wisp on his face, making him look to one of he mushrooms that was nearly up to his knees. "Follow." Giving Nagi a quick look, a smile on his face, he went to it and jumped on it. And then jumped on the next one that was just a little higher. And then he next one that was just a little higher, then the next... He still expected the creature to follow. This wasn't like climbing, but they'd be getting elevation... Hopefully Nagi could jump better than he can climb.

Sighing, Nagi just blindly followed Cyll, after all, he seemed relatively trustworthy.

But...they must have went around in circles at least twice! Nagi was sure of it. Nagi's eyes continued to grow wider and wider as fungi and mushrooms started lining the path. They're all glowing! "Ah, hold on Cyll, I should collect some test samples just in case they ever come back for me..." Will they actually come back for me? Nagi found it funny, even though it was probably bad that they... forgot him... Kneeling down, Nagi picked several small mushrooms. Stuffing them into a small bag that used to hold candy, Nagi examined them, interested. Even after he snapped them off off their stalks, they still glowed brightly.

They continued for a little bit further, the mushrooms getting bigger and bigger. "Follow." Cyll grinned at Nagi, proceeding to jump onto a large mushroom, and then another, and another. "Eh." Nagi looked skeptically at the mushrooms. They were big, but could they hold his weight? Deciding to just go for it, Nagi gingerly stepped onto the first mushroom. "Ah-ahhh, uh~~~~~~" Nagi had to try hard to balance, even though the mushroom was mostly flat, and of a material with good traction.

Getting on all fours, Nagi cautiously crawled onto the next mushroom. Mentally exhausted, Nagi watched as Cyll skipped over the mushrooms, far ahead of him. "Ehhh—Cyll wait for me..." He's ditching me too... TT^TT Nagi tried to follow as fast as he could. There seemed to be a cave up ahead, and he wanted to explore it.

Cyll jumped on the last mushroom top, looking back and expecting to see Nagi right there, but he was all the way behind. His smile deflated watching him crawl on the tops. Crawling. What was he doing?! Cyll sighed and went back for him, taking his hand and forcing him up to follow him on the mushrooms, "Slow..." He mumbled, eventually getting back to the last mushroom top and pushing Nagi to go inside. The cave walls were damp in some areas and deeper inside, the ceiling of the cave was glowing. Well, the things on the ceiling were glowing.

"Gods lead us here. Wind. That is guide." He took a breath from jumping around and then pulling Nagi with him a second time around. Cyll saw the glowing and felt relief, because what better way to get your energy back again with food? And it was a whole bunch! "Gods answer you. They give cave. Water," he pointed to a small puddle of water that was accumulated drops from the small spikes on the ceiling, "and food." Then he pointed at the glowing ceiling. It didn't look like bugs until a clump of hem fell off and started wiggling on the ground.

Cyll went right to them and started picking them up, putting them in his mouth one by one, licking his lips, "Yummy."

"Slow..." Cyll looked a bit miffed, as he pulled Nagi along the mushroom tops, and then into the cave. Slow? Eh, slow...he thinks I'm slow... Nagi gasped as he went into the cave. Inside, it glowed an eerily beautiful light aquamarine color. The walls pulsed with luminescence and tinted Cyll's frosty hair a light teal as well. "It's pretty." Nagi commented, using the lens on his glasses to take a quick snapshot.

"Gods lead us here. Wind. That is guide." Gods again? Nagi decided that it'd probably be important to get to the bottom of this "god" business Cyll was infatuated with sometime. Cyll continued on about the god stuff, talking about food and water, or something like that. Suddenly, glowing stuff dropped down from the ceiling. "Ahhh!" It was big clump of... something... and it was wriggling! "W-what is that?!" Nagi jumped back, and turned to Cyll.

"Ack! Cyll! What are you doing?" Cyll had bent down and grabbed a handful of the glowing stuff. It squirmed around in his hands, but he picked it apart, pulling one little strip away. Popping it in his mouth, Cyll smiled and said, "Yummy." Rushing over to Cyll, Nagi tried to remove the glowing matter from his hands. "No, no, no, Cyll! You can't just put anything into your mouth!" Does he think this is food?! "Ackkk!" Nagi felt something fall on him. It moved. Reaching towards his back, Nagi closed his eyes and took a breath before brushing off whatever it was. Opening them, he saw a small glowing thing still clung to his finger. "Nnngh..." Nagi shuddered. It was a worm of some sort.
