Noile stopped walking when he heard the angel's apology. His fists clenched tightly as he listened on. His shoulders shook as he wiped away his tears. Obsessed? Was that why he was always so desperate to make Noile stay? Noile stood in his spot, contemplating if he should turn. He wasn't even sure if he should believe the angel. It could be a joke for all he knew but Noile didn't want to think that it was true. What they had done was forbidden, was he still going to continue despite the consequences?

Lancelle's last words made him paused in his thoughts. Did he really hate the angel? But he was supposed to hate Lancelle because he was an angel and Noile was a demon. Or perhaps that was how stereotypical people thought. Noile had hated Lancelle because he was an angel which often got on his nerves. And Noile admitted that the angel affected him in a way he didn't even know. And he still hated Lancelle, because no one other than him had made Noile fall. He had dominated Noile so easily and that didn't sit well with the demon.

"I really hate you Lancelle," he said and turned to look at the angel. "I hate you because you humiliated me so many times. And I hate you because you made me feel all weird." He started walking towards the angel and grabbed his head, pulling him down and crashing his lips against the angel's. "And I hate you most of all because you excite me to the point where I can't stay away. Always stopping me every time I try to leave, how many times do you think I can resist." Noile breathed against the angel's lips," And because I am powerful and stubborn, I am not afraid to ignore the consequences. But you better shoulder it together with me,"he ended and pulled away.

Lancelle watched the anger in the demon, he saw his fists clench and the muscles stiffen. He took a deep breath as the demon turned. He could feel the anger physically and he hated that. He watched the other approach him convinced that he was about to get everything he deserved. And he would let it happen and then he would wallow in his own self pity for a while before getting back to his boring life of stopping demons from taking souls. Just another conforming angel.

He prepared for the punch as the demon grabbed his head. The punch shocked him more than he ever could have imagined, instead of Noile's fist making contact he felt those soft fiery lips once more. He was so surprised he didn't even have time to respond. His mind went blank. He allowed the demon to devour him. "Noile." He breathed as the other pulled away. He hummed appreciatively at the demons words "Hate me more like that, I love it." He grinned before leaning back in and kissing the other properly. Letting his tongue taste the others mouth and the warmth within. His eyes shut in relief. As he pulled away he whispered "I'm by your side and if anything goes wrong then say what you said earlier, this is entirely on me. I've lived long enough not to care about being punished. I'd rather we had the present than live in fear of the future." He smiled gently.

Noile let his hands slide to Lancelle's neck as they kissed once more. His tongue explored the other's mouth savoring the sweet taste of the angel. Once again, he couldn't seem to claim dominance over the kiss and broke away having run out of breath first. Breathing heavily, Noile nuzzled his face into the crook of Lancelle's neck. Pushing the angel to the ground, Noile placed his head on Lancelle's chest and lay there. After a while, Noile realised something and lifted his head to look at Lancelle. Giving the angel a smirk, he said,"you may want to put on your clothes before you catch a cold."

Lancelle allowed the other to push him to the ground and lay upon him. He chuckled at the comment. "Do I have to, can't I just use your warmth." He grinned and pulled the other tighter to him. He was rather enjoying just laying here with the demon and didn't particularly want to get up in order to go and find his clothes. Sighing in resignation the angel gently kissed the other again before standing and walking over to where he had dropped the satin. Now that he wasn't feeling the demons warmth any more he did realise that actually the temperature had plummeted though actually they were so close to the equator here that it wasn't cold enough to make most people shiver, but angels were cold blooded and had to have a warm environment to survive so it made him cold. Pulling the satin tight around himself Lancelle returned to the other male pulling his hair back as he did and tying it up, all the events had made it tangled and messy and he didn't like it.

When Lancelle got up to get his clothes, Noile took the opportunity to eye his angel's perfectly sculpted body. His muscle rippled as he walked and Noile especially loved how his tight butt-cheeks moved. Realising that he was drooling, Noile hurriedly wiped the drool before Lancelle turned around.

Watching the angel tie his hair, Noile was reminded of how unkempt he must look currently. He fingered his own meesy brown hair and looked back at the angel. "Tie my hair for me,"he said and turned so that his back faced the angel.

Lancelle rolled his eyes at the command but let the demon have it. "Okay but if I tie it in cute piggy tails I take no responsibility." He joked as he knelt on the grass behind Noile and ran his fingers through the soft hair trying to pull as many of the knots out as he could. He considered for a moment how to tie the hair, when he did his own he usually just used his own hair to wrap around and keep it in place but that wouldn't work with Noile's since it wasn't quite long enough for that. The grass here was too young to work to the correct effect and he really couldn't be bothered to try and get some fresh bark that would do the trick. Pulling out a knife from inside his robe he removed a strip from the ivory satin, the fabric made a ripping sound as it came lose. Running his fingers through the soft hair again he pulled it back into a ponytail and tied the satin around it holding it in place. "There you are." He said patting the demons shoulder.

Noile glared at the angel playfully," if you dare, I'll ignore you for the rest of the week." He turned back and enjoyed the feel of the angel's fingers running through his hair and closed his eyes. But upon hearing the rip, Noile opened his eyes again just as Lancelle tied the satin around his hair. Turning to face the angel, Noile looked at his robe,"you didn't have to cut it." The ends of the robe were now slightly jagged and didn't look nice anymore. "You could have asked me if I had anything to tie my hair with,"he continued, point to the sash around his own waist.

Grabbing the angel's wrist, Noile walked in the direction of the forest borders. "Let's take a walk,"he said not caring that they weren't in the correct attire. After all, it was still dark and the humans were asleep. No one would see them. But he stopped after a while remembering that Lancelle was still in his true form. He pointed to the angel's wings, gesturing for the angel to change his form.

The angel chuckled at the threat, somehow he could actually believe it as well and since there was no way he could force Noile out of the demons realm he didn't really want to push the issue. He shrugged as the other offered that he could have used the sash "It doesn't matter, this is old anyway and I don't really wear it that much. To be honest the only times I really where it are when I come here so I can take it off easily to swim." He smiled and allowed his companion to lead him towards the edge of the forest.

When Noile pointed out his wings Lancelle suddenly realised how bad that would be if anyone saw, then he really would be in trouble. Not that he wouldn't be if anyone found out about this evening anyway but still. Quickly he shifted into his human form and removed the silver from his arm and hand along with the earrings from his ear. "There, we should be fine." He said "Where are we going anyway?" He asked wondering what the sudden desire for a walk was all about.

"I don't really know," Noile said with a shrug. "I just felt like taking a walk," he said, leading Lancelle out of the forest. There wasn't really anything interesting in the human world once night fell since everyone was asleep. Well, apart from the bars of course, but Noile didn't like the way humans acted once they got drunk.

A while later, they entered the town. As expected, every stall was closed and the streets were quiet. Trudging through the streets, Noile couldn't help but shiver al little. "Who knew that human streets could be so creepy at night," he mumbled. As they walked on, Noile couldn't help but notice a figure sitting by one of the walls. He suddenly stopped in his tracks. Could it be a human? Soon, he heard groans coming from the figure as it curled up. Yep, a human, and a homeless and hungry one at that. Noile turned to look at Lancelle,"we'd better go before he notices us."

Lancelle nodded, he understood that desire to just take a wander where no one would see you. It felt a lot more peaceful to walk within the human world at night. They were all asleep and nothing could coerce them into getting out of bed to go and look at some beautiful figure in the street. He liked that they cared more about themselves.

Noticing the other shiver Lancelle looked at the male knowing there was no way he could be cold. He figured it was just being in the human streets felt weird for him. He chuckled. "It's peaceful though, and everyone is asleep. It's satisfying to know some things make them less inquisitive for a time." As he noticed the human Noile had seen Lancelle couldn't help but feel bad. He always hated seeing people on the streets. How could the humans let this happen. "Stay here." He said softly before approaching the homeless person. Gently Lancelle shock the man and put a finger to his lips to signify he could be quite. Removing some of his rings the angel placed them in the demons hand and said "buy an apartment and get a job. These will get you started. They are pure planinum so use them wisely." He turned and left.

Noile frowned when Lancelle moved towards the man despite himself saying that they should go. But he understood Lancelle's intentions. He was an angel, of course he couldn't bear to see someone suffer. Noile watched as Lancelle placed the rings into the palm of the man and growled softly, the man wasn't even paying attention to the jewelry. Instead, his eyes were glued to Lancelle's face and travelling down his body. Noile rubbed at the frown in his brow and sighed. This was why he didn't want to be noticed. They're clothes were inappropriate and their features attracted enough attention as is. Even as Lancelle walked back to him, the man continued to stare with glazed over eyes, completely enchanted. So enchanted was he that Noile's own presence didn't faze him.

When Lancelle came back, Noile crossed his arms and turned a corner to resume with their walk. "How nice of you. I bet you didn't even realise how that homeless pervert was ogling your body," Noile grumbled. His mood had been ruined after what happened. He quickened his pace and refused to look at the angel in case he was laughing at Noile for getting jealous. But Lancelle was now his, Noile had the right to get jealous.

Lancelle walked next to the other and smiled at the others comment. He was obviously jelous. He had come to accept the fact that humans never actually looked at what he did for them until long after he had left. He took the others hand and pulled him in closer stopping him from walking away. He smiled at the other amused "you are impossible, hating me one moment and the next you're jelous." He looked into the others eyes "don't worry I am yours now." Leaning in he gently kissed the other gently. As he pulled away he smiled at the other and with a hint of amusement in he is voice said "you're pretty cute actually." He grinned at the other actually pretty happy that Noile was jelous.

Noile stopped walking when Lancelle pulled him back to him. "Who said I was jealous?" He snapped but accepted the kiss willingly, his anger dissipating along with it. His arms wrapped around Lancelle's torso and he pressed his forehead against Lancelle's," of course you're mine. You belong to me and me alone." Noile was possessive, that he could agree. But he didn't find anything wrong with that. Even the angel had openly said that he was Noile's, who was he to decline. The angel's next words though didn't sit well with him. He leant forward and bit Lancelle's nose,"a demon doesn't appreciate being called cute. That was the worst insult you could have thrown at me," he said with a glare.

Lancelle shut his eyes enjoying just standing there with the other pressed up against him. Enjoying just being close and nothing else. When the other suddenly bit him Lancelle opened his eyes in shock. He wasn't used to being the one getting bitten, he preferred to give them out. At the others words though he burst into sweet laughter, backing away he put his hands up in defeat "okay, okay I'm sorry." He said through his laughter although he wanted desperately to tall the other how cute that had sounded. As his laughter died away he moved closer again a dangerous glint in his eyes "Although I should tell you I don't like to be bitten so you should be punished for that." The dangerous glint in his eyes became a dangerous smile as he quickly moved in and his teeth latched onto the patch of skin he had attacked earlier making the skin yet darker and more prominent. "There, now everyone knows you're mine."

When Noile saw the dangerous glint in the angel's eye, he took a step back with the intention of escaping. But the other was quicker in grabbing him and attacking his neck. "Ow," Noile said softly. The mark was definitely going to be there for a while. It was going to be tough to hide from the rest of the demons. They loved to poke into other people's business especially when it came to that special someone. Noile pulled away from Lancelle and pressed the bruise wincing a little. It wasn't that he didn't like it, but couldn't the angel place it somewhere less obvious. "Well, everyone will know that I belong to someone, but they definitely can't know that I belong to you,"he said still rubbing at the bruise. "Especially with busybody demons, I wouldn't get a moment's peace with their constant questioning."

Lancelle rolled his eyes at the demon who was being far too serious at the moment "Lighten up, you knew what I meant." He suddenly realised just how hard it was going to be for him to try and stay on the good side of this man, he was easily offended and often took things literally. Now he knew why it was so easy to torment him, he really was just too hot-headed to be able to think straight when he was offended and when he wasn't he tended to steer things in the direction that he couldn't win. Still Lancelle didn't mind, he liked to win after all. "Come on my gorgeous demon, the sun is starting to come up and people will wonder where we are."

"Yeah yeah," Noile grumbled. Of course he knew what Lancelle meant, but at the same time, it was those words that reminded him that they couldn't be found out. Noile belonged to Lancelle as the angel said, but no one other than themselves should find out. Subconsciously, he placed his hand on the mark again.

When Lancelle mentioned that the sun was rising, Noile blushed a little at the 'gorgeous' comment and looked up at the sky. Indeed, he could see the tiniest rays of light peeking out over the horizon. How fast time flew by when he didn't want it to. He hadn't really bothered about time unlike the humans since it wasn't of any matter to him. But right now, he didn't want to go back. Unlike the angel, no one would know if he returned or not unless they were specifically looking for him. Noile pulled the angel closer for one last kiss before opening a portal,"then I'll see you when I see you,"he said and stepped in.

Lancelle noticed the other blushing and forced himself not to comment upon how cute he found that. He just wanted to pull the other close to him and press their bodies together and feel the heat within the demon when he looked like that. He decided that from now on he would make it his mission to try and get the demon to blush more often. He smiled to himself before allowing himself a brief moment of joy as the two of them kissed. Lancelle only just had long enough to pull himself together again and reply "I'll be waiting." Before Noile vanished into the portal. He sighed, he knew he should get back but he really couldn't be bothered, he couldn't be bothered to find an explanation as to why his robe was ripped and he was missing rings. Angels weren't really allowed to interfere with the human world unless absolutely necessary.

Stepping into his own portal Lancelle returned to his natural form and returned to his chambers. Quickly he changed his clothes and decided the best thing to do was go to a jewellers and find someone that could make him new rings on short notice. That would make himself seen without drawing too much attention as well so people would ignore the fact he had been away the entire night.

Noile stepped out of the portal into his room and fell back on his bed as the portal closed. Sighing, he turned on his side and hugged a cushion thinking back to the events that happened. He blushed at the thought of Lancelle's hands moved on his body and the heated kisses they shared. Noile pressed his face into the cushion, he had to stop thinking about it, it wasn't good for his heart. It was pounding so hard and until now, Noile still couldn't believe that he was having an affair with an angel. He could put up a tough front when he was with Lancelle, but deep inside, he was alike a girl. That was what his feelings did to him.

Someone knocked on the door, "enter," he said and got off the bed. A servant came into the room with a small stack of papers on a tray. "This came from the king, my lord,"the servant said with a bow. He placed the tray on the table before taking another bow and left. Noile looked at the stack and sighed. Kale was really getting lazier by the decades. Throwing his work for Noile to complete when he was the king, not Noile. Noile went over to the stack and flipped through it, all were affairs of the demon realm. He sat in his chair, picked up his quid and started working. Seems like he would be busy for the next few hours.

Lancelle stepped out of his room and wandered towards a friends house. He wanted to talk about this with someone but he knew that he couldn't mention the ins and outs of it but this angel was in fact older than himself and he had been the one to teach Lancelle everything he knew about these things, he could talk freely with this man and that was exactly what he wanted, he just had to omit the name and who the other was. Sighing at his own deception Lancelle decided it was necessary so that he could sort out his own feelings and where he wanted things to go and when. This man would be able to he;p he, he had been Lancelle's first partner after all.

Arriving at the large house Lancelle raised his hand to knock but before he could even touch the wood door it swung open and his friend rushed forward to embrace him. Getting over the shock he embraced the male back smiling. It had been far too long since they had seen each other, they tried to keep visits to a minimum after how their relationship had ended, they didn't want anyone to think that had started again since they had gotten into so much trouble the last time. Gay relationships were forbidden amongst angels after all.

After hours of ceaseless working, Noile finally placed down hus quill and stretched. He had been sitting for so long that he couldn't feel his butt. Standing up, he moved towards his bed and laid down. Hugging his pillow, Noile closed his eyes and sighed. He missed Lancelle already despite just being separated for a few hours. When would they meet again? Turning on his side, Noile let sleep overtake his mind.

--------------------

Noile opened his eyes. It wasn't time to wake up yet but loud noises outside awoken him. Ruffling his hair frustratedly, Noile went to the window and threw it open. "What on earth is going on?!" He shouted, glaring at the demons below. The nerve of them to create so much noise and disrupt his rest. Did they not know that this castle belonged to him? Placing a hand on the ledge, Noile jumped out of the window and opened his wings, landing softly on the ground below.

The demons parted like the red sea did for Moses, when Noile walked forward. Finally reaching the middle where they were crowding around, his eyes landed upon a small demon fledging. The broken body of the fledging lay there with his back rising and sinking with quick breaths. Noile knelt down beside the demon, bending so that his eyes were levelled with the other's. The fledging flinched, fear evident in his eyes. He had already been beaten half to death, would this angry demon lord end it for him?

Noile stood up and surveyed the surrounding demons,"who did this?" He asked quietly, eyeing them for any suspicious movement. "You dare to do this in front of my home," he said raising his voice for good measure. The demons looked at each other nervously before moving once more to reveal a tall demon. The demon had a nasty look, green skin, pointed eyes and a disfigured body. Noile moved towards him as he backed slowly away. When he turned to run, Noile shot forward and grabbed him by the throat. "Impudence,"he said and broke the demon's neck.

Noile walked back towards the fledging and picked him up by the collar of his tunic. He stretched his wings once more and flew into the window of his room before closing it with a flick of his fingers. He carried the child out of the room where a servant waited. The child was given to the servant and Noile turned back to return to bed.

Lancelle let himself be lead inside the sparely decorated house, when he had first met his friend he had been surprised that the place seemed so small and had very little things in it but upon getting to know the man Lancelle now understood why he didn't get the home he was untitled to having lived so long. He smiled, remembering the familiar smell of this place.. "It hasn't changed a bit." he commented with a smile. The other chuckled and offered him tea, Lancelle accepted. Sitting down on the sofa he thought about what he was going to say, he knew he couldn't say too much but he could say he was with someone ...dubious. He just wanted to talk through things so that he could figure it out himself really. The other came back into the room and gave him some tea before sitting down. "what can I do for you Cele?" He asked using the name that he had always used to call him, he couldn't help but smile at the familiar sound of it. The angel sighed. "I have a problem....."

Lancelle explained everything, well as far as he could anyway and insinuating other parts so that his friend would be able to guess it, they talked for a good many hours and by the time that they had finished Lancelle thought he understood, or more he knew that talking so much about Noile made him want to see the male desperately but then he also didn't want to be the one putting himself on the line and appearing to be needy. He growled his frustrations to the other but the male just laughed and rolled his eyes at him saying "You are just like a little girl who has had her hair pulled and now more after complaining!" Lancelle went red. He wasn't like that, was he? He huffed and crossed his arms sulking.

After a while lancelle left the house and headed back to his own place to sleep it all off and decided that in the morning he would go back to that place were they were the other night and he would go for a swim in the river and hope that maybe Noile might turn up. Stripping he got into bed and tried to sleep. He tossed and turned trying to find a comfortable position but failed, for some reason his mind wouldn't stop spinning and he was still awake six hours later, well into the night. Giving up he flicked through the pages of a book he had been reading although after a few pages he realised he wasn't taking in any of the words. Giving up on that the angel tried to sleep again though he didn't hold out much hope for it working.

When Noile had once again laid down, his rage had simmered. But the adrenaline from before had chased away all desires for rest. He couldn't fall asleep. His thoughts drifted back to Lancelle. What was the angel doing now? Noile couldn't help but wonder. Was he sleeping comfortably currently? He spent the next two hours thinking of the angel. Trying to go to sleep was fruitless because in the end, his thoughts would go back to the angel.

Flinging the covers in frustration, Noile got off the bed and left the room. He headed towards the room where the injured fledging now resided. Opening the door, he was surprised to see that the fledging wasn't asleep. Instead, he was on the floor chewing at his bandages. Upon seeing Noile, he stopped chewing and scrambled to a corner, cowering in fear. Noile sighed. Guess his reputation was really bad, he had after all killed someone in front in front of the kid.

"Where are your parents?"he asked stopping in a spot. The child did not respond choosing to back further into the corner. Noile let his patience run out,"ANSWER!!"he shouted. The child flinched and Noile moved right in front of him. "Listen here. The reason why others bully you is because you show them your weakness. We're all demons here. They find pleasure in seeing someone suffer and pick on the weak to make themselves seem strong. If you don't want to continue getting beaten, you'd better hide your fears and fight back understand? Don't disgrace the demon race. Now, tell me where are your parents?" The child continued to stare fearfully at Noile before responding softly.

"T-they're in the gambling den,"he said and looked down at his fingers. Noile looked at the fledging. The fledging was a little different from other demons. Looking almost human just like Noile. He had indigo locks of hair and mauve eyes, pointed ears but had no wings. His skin was pale but had scales on some parts. It seems that the child would be powerful in future. Demons who resembled humans tend to be stronger. It was a pity that he had parents who didn't care about his well being and was too lazy to train him. His parents didn't deserve a child like him if they couldn't see his potential.

"You'll stay here in future,"Noile spoke after a while. "Don't go back to your parents anymore. I'll take care of you." It wasn't really in his nature to care for others but after meeting Lancelle, he found out that even demons could feel. Besides, he wanted to see how far this child would go. "I'll teach you how to fend for yourself so I don't expect to see you cowering in fear anymore. Even if you're afraid, you should never let anyone know that, understand?" The child nodded hesitantly. "Get someone to fix that bandage then go to sleep," he said and left the room.

-----------------------

The next day, Noile couldn't take it anymore. He wanted to see his angel so badly. Opening a portal, Noile stepped in and out into the forest. He sat by the river and pushed up his robe so that he could put his feet in the water. He moved his legs and watched the water splashing around. Would Lancelle come? Noile hoped so, he would wait until then.

Lancelle tossed and turned until the morning hours when he gave up, sleep wasn't coming and he was wasting his time at this point. Dressing he tried to reach for the arm cuffs and rings but found them gone. He sighed remembering how he had given the rings away. He gave up and didn't bother even trying to put on any of the jewellery. It could wait. Opening a portal he stepped out into the dazzeling sunlight of the human world. He was a little upstream from where he had met with Noile last time but he could sense the demonic powers and guessed it to be the male. Walking downstream the angel tried to shrug of his exhaustion not wanting to lash out at Noile just because he was tired.

Turning the bend he saw the demon on the bank of the river below him and smiled, trust him to manage to be in an inconvenient spot. The river ran through a ravine that it had cut over many years and Lancelle was at the top while Noile the bottom. Rolling his eyes the angel stripped off the heavy garments he wore and observed the rushing water bellow him. He knew from experience that the river was ddeep and defiantly deep enough for him to jump at this height. But he had never actually done it before. Taking a deep breath the angel swallowed his fear and jumped.

The water hit him hard. The icy cold knocking the breath out off him as his feet touch the bed gently and he pushed up hard. Breaking the waters surface Lancelle grinned. That had been truly exhilarating. Still grinning he swam towards the demon and got out the water. He embraced the black haired male purposefully soaking him as he kissed the others cheek "good morning." He said cheerily, a lot of his exhaustion now gone.

Noile had been watching his feet hit the water as he waited for Lancelle. So deep in thought was he that the blur figure that hit the water shocked him badly. Noile had removed his feet from the water quickly in surprise but paused when the figure re-emerged. It was Lancelle. Holding a hand to his chest, Noile took a deep calming breath. "You shocked me," he said as Lancelle moved forward to hug him. "Hey hey, you're getting me wet," he complained but did not push the angel away. He smiled at the angel's greeting and returned the kiss with another," good morning".

Pulling the angel out of the water, Noile frowned when he took a closer look at his angel. "Did you not sleep last night?" Noile could see dark circles under the angel's eyes, evidence that he hadn't slept well. Lifting a hand, he brushed his thumb over the darker skin then smirked. "I bet you were thinking of me all night huh? That's why you couldn't sleep." He meant it as a joke of course.

"I didn't sleep much either, demons were making a huge commotion outside my home," he continued, a hint of bitterness in his tone when he remembered the incident. "By the time it was over, i couldn't fall back asleep."
