Decay
Name: Hino Tamura Age: Twenty-Six Height: 5'11" Role: Assassin Personality: LOYAL : RESPONSIBLE : AGGRESSIVE : DISTRUSTFUL Bio: (Optional) Hino, an orphan, was trained from a young age to fight for survival alongside many other children like himself. It was a lonely childhood and lacked the proper warmth that only a caring mother or father could give. Hino became an Assassin purely for one reason, it was the only thing he knew how to do. I hate war. The Assassin laid silently across his back on the ground, covered from peering eyes by some bushes and clenching his side as he tried to delay the process of bleeding out. He would usually bandage himself up in this kind of situation but he lost most of his supplies when his team was attacked by enemies from the village they were attempting to infiltrate. It seemed though that the enemy knew they were coming, perhaps Hino had a rat among his team. I was too careless. Everyone was dead, if he had been a bit more careful then maybe this dilemma could have been avoided. But no, he wasn't careful and now he shared the same fate as the rest of his fallen comrades. Hino was born alone and he was damned to die alone like any other man he was forced into the life of an Assassin. Amber eyes agape, Hino stared up at the night sky as his breath hitched. Amazing, he thought as the night sky shined with glittering stars, never before had he actually had time to just look around him. For a land filled with war it could almost seem peaceful. "Maybe...I'll be reincarnated..become a bird or ladybug." The brunette grinned softly at the thought of having a kind of life with peace, it was better than the one he had now. "Argh!" He groaned with his eyes shut tight as he clenched to his side, the adrenaline from his earlier fight had now worn off and he could feel his body ache. It hurts. Soon the pain would be too much for him and he'd pass out, then bleed out on the grass he laid on. His eyes shot open, hearing foots steps not to far off from where he was lying. Was the person going to pass by and leave Hino to bleed out or would he discover the Assassin and dispose of him quickly. The brunette instinctively pulled a small blade from his side and tried his best to prop himself up. As the sound of feet neared closer and closer Hino got himself into position, he hadn't the energy to stand on his own feet so he had to settle by leaning against a tree, keeping the small blade close to him. Why was he planning to give a fight when he was already bleeding out and this life had nothing more to offer him. It was probably instinct or that's what Hino wanted to think. The brunette tried to control his breathing as much as possible but it was almost impossible, he even began to feel his hand tremble as it held the blade. Nyuchanxx
Name: Atsushi Surname: Kito Age: 27 Profession: Samurai Atsushi wandered through the woods on silent footsteps, no normal man would have heard him without training. Dusk was starting to fall and the light was thinning away as night began to take over the world of the living. He went walking a lot at this time of night although he knew he shouldn't, they were at war after all. But he was trained well and even at the risk of an ambush he thought he would do well enough to live to see another day even if that was quite a optimistic view. As the sun dipped below the horizon and the world became dark, the sky becoming a canvas for the light of the stars to shine upon, he stopped and leaned against a tree shutting his eyes and just listening to the sounds of the wood: the groan of the trees as they swayed slightly, the rustling of the leaves in the light breeze, the howl of a wolf in the distance calling to his pack, the cooing of an owl in the tree, the snuffling of a hedgehog on the ground and the laboured breathing of a....laboured breathing? Atsushi focused his ears on that one sound. Yes, that was breathing. Haggard and pained breathing. He frowned. Surely no one should be here that was in pain, the fight today had taken place a way from here and had been a massacre, no one had lived, had they? On light footsteps the Samurai approached where he thought the sound was coming from. He heard a shuffle. He stopped. Listened. Nothing. The breathing was gone. Moving forward a few more paces Atsushi thought he heard the breathing again, suppressed this time. He drew his sword from the sheath silently, he had had the sheath specially made in order to produce no sound upon the draw. He approached, wary of an attack. As he rounded the base of the tree he saw a member of the assassins leant against it. Blood soaked the ground around him and his side glistened with wet blood and in his hand was a long thin dagger but Atsushi could tell he was in no state to use it. He sheathed his own blade and knelt a few metres from the other. Softly he spoke "I'm not going to hurt you." His voice was gentle and calming, he spoke slowly with reassurance "If you stay here though you are going to bleed to death and I'm not a fan of letting people die in pain." He knew his words probably wouldn't get through to the assassin, after all they were suborn people, this war showed that well enough. "Let me take you back and I'll look after yo, or if your pride doesn't allow that then at least let me give you a death free of pain and suffering." He swallowed hoping desperately the man wouldn't choose the latter. He wasn't entirely sure he could do it.
Decay
The injury that Hino had was finally effecting his mobility and reaction time, he was dying no doubt but he was sure he could at least fight for his life for a moment more before he bled out or was cut down by an enemy. The Assassin clenched onto his blade, he had closed his eyes trying to control his breathing and upon opening his eyes again he saw a man looking at him. Hino hadn't even heard him approaching that time, the loss of blood was definitely effecting his mind and usually keen senses. He stared at Atsushi and not saying a word as he believed it would do him no good because men didn't speak, men fought and Hino was ready to strike the other male with his blade if he came close enough. But the man didn't come any closer and Hino just leaned against that tree with a blade in hand, breathing unevenly as he stared at the Samurai with intentness. "I'm not going to hurt you." It was so funny and unbelievable that it made Hino crack a painful grin but this did not last long for the Samurai continued to put on a humble appearance, telling Hino that he wanted to help him. What a joke. Hino thought to himself as he stared at the kneeling Samurai, he was disgusted by the false kindness that the Samurai was trying to offer him. He was certain that Atsushi was playing at some sort of game, Hino was his enemy and no one offered mercy towards an enemy or offered a bed for them. "...screw you.." The brunette managed to utter under his breathe as he stared intently into Atsushi's eyes, which seemed to be different colors. "I'd rather die tha-nagh!.." Hino dropped his blade as he felt a sudden shot of pain travel through his body, he then fell to his knees and began a short coughing fit, finding that he had coughed up a small amount of blood. Hino wiped his mouth only to smother the blood across his lips, he did not bother to reach for the blade he had dropped and motioned to lean his back against the tree. "Samurai...Let me be, I want to die...On my own terms and this is how I choose to go." The brunette spoke, his voice weaker than it had been. I am so tired. Just go away Samurai, he turned his head so his eyes feel upon Atsushi once more and his voice this time was much more stern. "No one..hah..asked for your help." The brunette took a deep breathe in between his sentence and closed his eyes, falling into an unconscious state. Where am I? Amber eyes opened, blinded from the rays of light hitting his face and it took a moment for his amber eyes to adjust. Hino turned his head to look at his surroundings, he found himself in a small room and covered in a warm cover. The Assassin slowly and carefully lifted himself up from the covers, his body was aching. He looked down at his own body and found himself wrapped in bandaging, no doubt this was the work of the Samurai from last night. Though he was surprised that Atsushi was actually telling the truth when he said he wished to patch his injuries, the Samurai must have been insane for him think that aiding an enemy. Hino walked to the door as fast as a man with injuries could, he exited the door and glanced around the hallway. Sneaking around the unfamiliar home, Hino tried to navigate through the house and look for any signs that the Samurai was home or find some kind of weapon. Nyuchanxx
Atsushi glared, there was no way he was going to let the other just sit here and die but it was apparent that he wasn't going to let him take his life either thought why he did not know. Personally he would rather be killed by his enemy than face a horribly painful death with no honour. He wanted to help he really did but he was in a predicament, his conscience wouldn't let him just turn around and leave but the other wouldn't let him get close. He sighed as he was told to leave. The concern grew in his eyes as he heard the pain in the others voice and when he fainted there was nothing he could do to stop himself. He hated to watch as the other suffered and he wasn't going to let that happen even if the assassin hated him for it, it didn't matter their clans hated each other anyway. Standing Atsushi walked over and picked up the knife that the male had dropped slipping it into his own belt so as not to hurt the other with it. Crouching he picked up the assassin in his arms not caring if the blood got onto his light blue clothes, they could be replaced. Walking lightly so as not to jostle the other too much and cause him more pain the samurai walked back to his home. Gently laying the man on the bed Atsushi removed his clothing leaving only his pants on in order to check for any more wounds or internal bleeding. It was just the one serious wound. With a damp cloth he cleaned out the gash and then bound it tightly so as to stem the bleeding before he pulled thee covers gently over the male and left the room shutting the door behind him. Atsushi then stripped himself of his own clothes and walked down to the river where he cleaned himself off before walking back up the hill where he switched clothes to a light kimono and went and sat in a chair on the porch overlooking the forest. Lighting a candle he opened a book and began reading. It was an hour later that he fell asleep like that, the book falling from his hand into his lap and his eyes shutting as he slept in the cool night air. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Atsushi was exhausted from the nights activities and din't wake up when the sun started to come up over the horizon. He was vaguely aware of footsteps but they were light and just made it into his dreams. He choose to ignore it, too tired to care as he slept for the moment, normally such a thing would have awoken his samurai instincts but he had only slept a few hours so far and the night before that had been exhausting training as well so there was no way such light, distant footsteps would rouse him.
