Nocski
The blood was sweeter than usual, Luca thought. Not that he can choose his victims when he had to hunt under the cover of night in the back alleys. Most that he saw there were either homeless or drunkards. He preferred the latter, though the high alcohol in their blood will soon influence his judgment if he kept draining the limp human in his hands. He's been thirsty for days. He hunted scarcely, trying to leave less body trail as he did several decades back when he couldn't properly control his hunger. Vampire murders, the headlines said. He's been in enough trouble like so to learn he should restrain himself. Apparently, thinking of how to dispose the body do decrease the pleasure in having a quiet meal. He couldn't bury the body where he used to, the police have grown cleverer for the last few decades. He's been thinking to try and intercept freshly dead bodies from gang murders but he couldn't stomach the taste of stagnant blood.. In the end he chose to return to drunkards and their alcoholic blood. He gulped the last of his blood and exhaled, his breath visible in the chilly night air. His knees numb from kneeling against the cold floor. He's starting to get dizzy from the alcohol in his blood, it's even affecting his heightened senses. At this point he's no better than normal human, making him vulnerable to attacks.
Raychu
Name: Aeryn (Air-Ron) Cruz Nickname(s): None Age: 31, ageless (Looks like he's in his twenties) Species: Undead; Zombie Height: 6ft Birthday: October 29th Sexuality: Bisexual Hair Color: Dirty Blonde Eye Color: Rose Red Extra: He usually wears hoodies when out during the day and wears something like a scarf over his mouth to hide his sharp teeth. Personality: Eccentric, Hot Headed, Daring, Decisive, Abrasive, Assertive, Conservative, Stern. Likes: Books, nighttime, painting, sewing, tart foods, and horror. Dislikes: Hot places, the sun, cars, bright flashes of light like cameras, animals, and rough textures. Occupation: Bartender Bio: Aeryn died in a car accident with his parents. Due to necromancy used in his family, his grandmother resurrected him, allowing him a new start in life. He disassociates himself from society feeling ashamed of having to feed off of human flesh. He can eat raw animal flesh but it doesn't give him as much nutrients as human flesh does. He can't be out in the sun unprotected or his flesh will start to burn and fall off. He has to use a lot of cologne to hide the dead body smell he has. Aeryn strolled through the streets, the only light visible were the lamps. The night was cold, just the way he liked it. It had been awhile since he last ate, he needed to find a quick and easy meal. He tried not to be messy but blood was always a problem for him. It got on his clothes, but no one ever suspected him of murder. It usually was blamed on the vampires, no one ever thought a zombie existed. He pulled down his black scarf, smelling the air. He picked up a scent of another from a nearby alleyway. That was his destination, it smelled as if there was fresh blood in the air, but he thought nothing of it. A meal was a meal, sick or healthy. Bloody or clean. He ate what he could get. His choices were limited, he needed flesh, any kind would do for him as long as it fed him. Aeryn crept closer to the alleyway he smelled the inviting scent from. When he turned into it, he was not expecting to see two humans. Mistake, one human and a vampire. The other had fresh blood on his lips, but he seemed to be off somehow. He kneeled down next to the vampire, inspecting him closely. "Are you okay?" he spoke softly. He always felt a need to help others if he could, but usually he was killing the people who needed help. He kept glancing at the dead body on the ground, feeling hunger pains hit him in the stomach. His mouth would be watering if he could produce saliva, but he could not. "Is it okay if I finish him off?" Aeryn looked back at the mystery vampire in front of him. Food was before friendliness, he was starving.
Nocski
Luca jolted when the voice called if he was alright. Instead of fleeing he ended up rolling on the cold floor. Damn alcohol, he cursed. His dizziness made his body weaken, usually he could spot another being, human or whatever, from afar but this time perhaps he was unlucky. Or not. This thing, whatever he was, asked if he could finish off the body. Despite wondering why another would ask for an exsanguinated body, Luca thought it was a great idea to let him have the body. He had no scent, if what his nose could pick could be considered a scent, it's more like smelling stagnant blood that he dislike so much. "If you could clean the leftover as well, why not? Have at it." He replied simply, scooting a pace away from the body to let this 'thing' have their way, "You'll have to burn the clothes afterwards though, don't want those dogs sniffing on you or me.." Raychu
Aeryn nodded, but he was curious about the dogs. He never had a problem with them, probably because they couldn't stand him. They were too scared to even approach him. He pulled off his black scarf, setting it down on the ground. He crawled towards the boy, examining it. He could smell a leftover scent of alcohol on the body, scrunching up his nose. That meant the liver was probably shot. He hated tasting organs that were destroyed by nasty habits, such as the lungs, the liver, the heart. But he'd deal, the taste would be gone soon enough anyway. It wasn't lurk the taste lasted forever, only a few minutes. Aeryn started with the arm first, biting into it and tearing the flesh off. It was nice to bl to have someone screaming for a changed. He chewed, savoring the sweet taste that had filled his mouth. It was a spectacular taste though he didn't enjoy that it was human flesh causing him such happiness. He continued to eat until he felt himself becoming full. By the time he finished eating, the body had very little amounts of flesh on it. All of the insides were gone, the person unrecognizable from who they previously were. He wiped some of the excess blood off of his lips, licking it off the back of his hand. There wasn't much blood, thankful that the vampire sucked the man dry before he got there. It made it easier to wash his clothes. He crawled away from the body, grabbing his scarf, wrapping not around his neck. He stared at the boy in front of him. "Are you okay? You never answered me," he asked, his voice becoming more forceful. "Oh, and thank you for letting me eat." He felt a need to thank the boy because he didn't have to let him take the body, but he did anyway. The taste was beginning to fade, thankful it was. The liver was the worst part about the meal, but also the part he saved until last. It showed he was right about the man having a shot liver, he was probably going to die soon anyway. Nocski
"I'm fine, just dizzy." He pinched the bridge of his nose, "damn alcohol.." Yes he was dizzy to the point that it's hard for him to walk straight. So rather than ambling like a drunk he'd rather sit and wait it out. Usually the alcohol effect lasts only an hour or two, but Luca would force himself to move away after an hour, he's not risking getting spotted near a dead body. "And no problem about it, I was going to find an incinerator somewhere to burn it anyway. Oh gosh my head.." He hugged his knees, resting his forehead against them, the alcohol in the drunkard was probably higher compared to his previous victims that it influenced him more than usual, "We have to get rid of the bones and clothes still.. Tell me you know a place where we can hide it.."
Raychu
A place they could hide it? He never did, no one ever looked at him for murders, he just let the bodies be found. "Why not the graveyard? It's natural for a dead body to be there right? Why did we even need to hide it anyway?" he was dumbfounded. Never had he had to hide a dead body before, why should he start now? He looked at the boy, raising a brow. Aeryn figured if they were going to go hide the body, he'd being carrying it. The boy was in no position to be moving at all. "I didn't know vampires were affected by alcohol. I wouldn't know, it doesn't bother me." He looked at the body that lay next to them. Why even try to hide it? It'll still be found someway or another, just let the cops find it in the morning. At least then some person will be put to rest that their loved one was found. Thought it would be damaging since they were brutally murdered. "I don't see a point in hiding the body, a waste of time is what it is," he is face stoic. He didn't feel remorse for letting people find the body, he only felt remorse for the killing. This time he didn't kill, he just ate what was already dead, that wasn't wrong. The boy in front of him would be blamed for the killing, not him. But even then, they wouldn't be able to tell a vampire did it, he ate the flesh that was punctured by the fangs. It would just be labeled as a monster killing and that was that. "It's not like we would be found out anyhow, there is no way for them to link the dead body to us, right? Well, at least not to me." He completely forgot to introduce himself, but he could get to that later, the problem now at hand was whether he was willing to hide the body or not. Aeryn felt bored having to just sit there, waiting for the vampire to speak. He hated having to wait, he was impatient. By now he could be back home, resting. With the time he was wasting, the clock was ticking. He may have been immortal, but he didn't want to be found near the body if someone were to stumble upon them, but he'd probably kill them then. He sighed out loud, but there was no breath that actually came out. The night was going to be long for him, he was sure.
Nocski
On a second thought, he was right. The police would just blame the body on monster or werewolf the way it looks now. Certainly Luca wasn't thinking straight and let paranoia run his head during his vulnerable moment. "You're right.." He shook his head and tried to stand, albeit wobbly, "I forgot that you've eaten away the fleshy evidence of my bite, sorry. It wasn't always this convenient for me so I hope you understand my cautiousness." He tried walking away with his hand against the wall or whatever he could get hold on, "And for your information, alcohol still affect us vampires because we're pretty much human who traded our kidneys' ability to recycle blood with superhuman powers." And his hand slipped, causing his knees to buckle and he landed elbow first on the concrete. "Dammit." He cursed. That was certainly a scene for the other thing to see. He's never usually ask for help but this time he might have to, "Hey I need to get away from here, could you help me hide in a building or something.." Raychu
Aeryn watched the boy stumbling against the wall. He chuckled seeing the other fall, it was hilarious that the boy was trying to move in such a state. He stood up, walking over to the boy, helping him up. "I'll just take you to my place for the night, it's easier than trying to drop you off in an abandoned building," he voice brisk. "I hope you don't mind, but you don't have many options to choose from, unless you think you can walk somewhere?" He knew the boy didn't, so he just began to walk from the alley, pulling the boy along with him. "What's your name? You can just call me Aeryn." He looked over at the boy, studying his face. He seemed to be so affected by a bit of alcohol. Aeryn never got the pleasure of feeling drunk, buzzed, high, or anything along that line. Nothing worked on him anymore, he tried. He tried so many things just to feel what he missed before he died, but nothing worked. He was numb to everything around him and he hates it. How was he supposed to act human with others when he couldn't even stomach human food? When he couldn't even hold down water? He was completely different. At least if he were a vampire he could fit in more. His decayed flesh eluding melt in the sun. He couldn't interact with the humans around him without feeling a need to feed. Nocski
The vampire rested his weight against the other man's frame, knowing that he will have to depend on him for the rest of the night, at least until the sun sets the next day. Until then he will have to ignore the unpleasant smell. "I don't mind eitherway, as long as I can hide from the sun, wherever is fine." he replied, "I'm Luca, by the way.." Raychu
Aeryn sniffed the air a couple of times, trying to pin the vampires scent. It was like a humans but stronger. It smelt like is was... richer to put it simply. He frowned, he didn't like it. It made him hungrier than he was before, wanting a taste. He pulled the scarf up over his nose, smelling his own decayed flesh smell. It was gross but he'd rather have that than him trying to take a bite out of his new guest. "Nice to meet you Luca. I dislike your smell very much, isn't there a way you can get rid of it?" he was blunt. He didn't care if he sounded mean, he really hated the smell. Any of his kind would love it, but that's because they are hunger crazed monsters unlike him, he was civil. He still had his sanity. But that smell could easily drive him into insanity if his mind was kept on it enough. Aeryn turned his head away from the vampire, looking through the streets. He walked faster as he saw a human walking their way. He couldn't deal with both scents at once, it would overpower his. "Can't you try and go faster? Never mind, get on my back. I'm not in the mood to get questioned by the cops that roam around looking for criminals like us," he snapped. He crouched slightly, the boys weight still somewhat on him. The boy was slow, too slow. The man was approaching fast. He needed to move now. Now. He stood up, picking the boy up bridal style and quickly walking away from the other human. If he heard one complaint he might snap, he was saving their asses from getting a cops attention.
Nocski
Then just like that Luca was hoisted up into Aeryn's arm as he proceeded to walk fast from a figure in the dark, he sniffed and understood why the hurry. Human. Knowing he's not much of use in this state, he held onto the bigger man's shoulder as they moved away. He wanted to comment on the blond's request but that can wait. "Here, turn left here and enter through the busted door, this building is empty last time I checked." He whispered into Aeryn's ear, "we can hide until that human is gone." Raychu
Aeryn did as he was told, turning left and shimming through the busted door. He felt some wood press stand t him but he didn't mind, as long as Luca wasn't touched my anything. He gently put the boy down against a wall for support. As he sat next to him. It was odd for him to be running from humans, he never had to before. He felt more cautious having another undead around him. He pulled down his scarf, letting the scent of the vampire fill his nose. He averted his eyes away from the other that was next to him. He looked at the dust that had collected on the floor. The building seems to have been unused for a long time. "You're lucky I found you before that guy came. He's a cop I know, not a friendly guy. If he thinks you're suspicious you'll be arrested on the spot. I've been on his radar for sometime," his tone cold. To waste time he thought it'd be a good idea to make conversation. But he wasn't sure if Luca was willing or not. He looked up at the ceiling, seeing holes that showed the stars in the outside. It was peaceful, peaceful was nice every now and then. But he also needed action in his life to spice it up. He rarely ever did anything since he turned into an undead. He hated the word zombie, it just sounded wrong to use. He wasn't some mindless creature stalking around aimlessly for food. He was a humane being.
Nocski
Luca didn't think Aeryn would treat him unbelievably gentle, for someone he met just few hours ago. It felt nice. But he noticed something else that's been bothering the blond beside him, his comment on his scent, and how he turned away from facing the vampire. "Thanks for the heads up, I'll remember that rotten cop when I hunt around here." He whispered, afraid of giving away their location, "and thanks for helping me.. though I have a small question of.. what are you exactly? You're very unlike other creatures of the night that I've met, not werewolf, certainly, I'd know the smell of one and you're certainly not it. You're something.. more dead than dead..?" He knew he's not making sense, but better this than the awkward silence, "Say, are you still hungry?" the vampire asked.
Raychu
Aeryn looked over at the vampire when he asked what he was. "Deader than dead? That's not a very nice way of putting it. You make it sound like I died twice in my lifetime, I died only once. I guess you can say I'm... what a human would call a zombie. I prefer the term undead if you don't mind. The human depictions of zombies is terrible," his voice still stern. He felt awkward being around the vampire, never having been near any of his kind before. It felt so new and weird, he just couldn't take it all in at once. He was dumbfounded that he even ran into another of his kind, though the way he did was just as odd. The vampire wasn't able to move because he was drunk, how strange. It was strange indeed. "Hungry," Aeryn repeated. He was hungry, but the question just came out of the blue. He didn't know how to answer it at that moments. He quickly found words to say, unsure if they came out right or not. "Hungry, yes, still hungry. I'm always hungry. It matters why?" he slightly snapped. He didn't mean to sound rude but when he got to rambling on his tone became aggressive like his personality. He couldn't help it, it was just how he was. He didn't care to change his personality or his attitude. He rarely interacted with people anyhow.
Nocski
No wonder he smelled stagnant blood on him. Technically they're both undead, but there's big difference in their inner workings. That's why Luca called him 'deader than dead'. Though his slip of tongue was mostly because he never met someone like Aeryn before that he's having problems describing how he saw him. "I'm sorry, it's just.. I thought your scent resembled dead body so I.. I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that." The vampire apologized, receiving the snappy response from the undead made him feel he might have to do something extra for Aeryn. "It matters.. uh.. not now, we're not safe yet, I'll tell you later when we reach your place."
Raychu
Aeryn put his head against the wall, sighing. "That's because I am dead body, walking the streets. The term deader than dead just makes me sound somewhat lower than you, I don't like that. You don't need to apologize, I get why you said it," he said, his forced himself to sound softer than he was. He always had a stern voice, it never changed, so why change it for the boy next to him? Because he felt he needed to be friendly? It was pointless to make friends, he didn't need anybody. Solitude was the best for him. He could have self restraint being in solitude. Aeryn coughed, not liking to wait. "We have time, I'm sure he won't come in here. Let me just say I'm an impatient person. I want to know now," his voice becoming much more forceful. He didn't like being stuck in anticipation, it annoyed himself. He looked over at Luca, giving him an intense gaze. Something had to make him snap where he would speak, that was his goal.
Nocski
"But I'm afraid it'll be messy.." Luca blurted, "I mean.. I noticed how you looked at me, how you commented about hating my scent but once in a while you inhaled it instead of keeping your scarf on.." he paused, turning to look Aeryn in his eyes. He pulled his sleeve up, showing his pale arm and giving it to the blond to hold, "I'll let you have a bite, just to keep yourself a full for longer, until I can hunt for the next human for us.." He pulled his arm back a little before hesitantly moving it forward, "But please do it gently, I've never been bitten before.." the last part because Luca was born vampire, he has parents, not a maker. Raychu
Aeryn's eyes widened, dumbfounded by the boy's actions. "Your crazy just letting me have a bite. Was I that obvious," he cut himself off. He felt a twinge of guilt for wanting to take a bite Luca's flesh. He didn't need it at that moment, he did just eat a bit ago. But he really did want a taste of the boy. He looked down at the bare arm, exposed for him to bite into. He really needed to taste the boy. Aeryn grabbed the arm pulling it up near his mouth. He put his teeth against the bare skin, biting lightly. Since his teeth were sharp he didn't have to bite so hard just to break the skin. Blood began to fill his mouth, and he lapped his it. He stopped, he didn't need to feed, self control. He unhinged his jaw from the arm, licking at the wound he made. The blood tasted wonderful, he was sure the flesh was much sweeter. He sucked in the wound until the bleeding seemed to slow down. "That's all I wanted, you taste good. You shouldn't be so careless around me, I can't promise I'll control myself," his tone stern once more. He let the arm go, regretting he didn't take the bite, but proud he controlled himself. Nocski
Luca hissed softly from the bite. It stung, but it wasn't like anything he imagined, like being poked with a needle perhaps. Aeryn's lips on his skin felt soft it sent chills to his heart. It was not unpleasant, yet he was curious how bad the undead's bite could be. He knew he might willingly let the undead bite him again. "I haven't lived for decades not knowing when someone wants me, whether for my flesh or blood, and usually I gave it to them," he teased, "for a price." Once Aeryn was done, he licked the bite wound on his arm and it slowly healed, leaving no mark. His regeneration process was fairly fast compared to the rest of his kin, perhaps due to his youth. "Here's my offer, I'll hunt for human, once a week. Twice a week if I'm feeling indulgent." He spoke while idly pulling his sleeve down, "You may eat the body to your fill, once I'm done draining them. It's a win-win situation." His golden eyes shifted to look into Aeryn's rose red eyes again as he whispered, "And while you wait for the next meal, since you had explained that you're always hungry.." his lips forming a faint smirk, "I'll let you have few bites of me. Not too much though, even I have regeneration limit." He slowly pressed his shoulder against Aeryn's, his hair lightly brushed against it and asked, "What do you say? Do we have a deal?" Raychu
Aeryn gave a small 'hm' to the deal. "That means I have to keep you in my house, right? I knew you were asking me to just drop you off in an abandoned building like this," his voice becoming a lot colder. He didn't mind the idea, they'd just be don't each other favors in the end. He enjoyed the thought of not having to kill the human, just eat what was already dead. He tensed feeling the other press against him. "I'll take it, but having me bite off of you is a bad idea, I have some sharp teeth. It'll hurt like a bitch." He looked at the arm seeing as it already healed, he felt jealous. It took weeks for him to heal even if it was just a minor cut. "I'm jealous of you being a vampire. You can still get affected by alcohol, you don't need to eat nasty flesh, and you sure as hell don't smell bad. You smell wonderful. Your blood tastes sweet but I bet your flesh tastes even better. I bet you're so delicious," his tone teasing. He really wanted to get a bite of the boy, but he held back. "I'm none of those. I smell terrible, I eat flesh, and I can't be intoxicated. I wish I could though, I bet it feels nice."
Nocski
"That's one way to keep me around, but actually I'm staying in an unused building, and I have few things I'd like to take before we go to your place, if you do want to keep me close." He simply said, not denying that he wants to move from his old place, he's all for it if it means getting proper warmth during winter and shelter during heat. "I don't mind your bite," he dared himself to lightly rest his head on Aeryn's shoulder, "it didn't hurt as much like you said. I've been wondering how painful it would be if you really bit a chunk of me off.. I-I'm curious.." the last part was more like a whisper. "As for 'it's awesome being vampire' you've been on about, it's not as great as you said." He idly took Aeryn's hand to look at his fingers, they felt cold to his touch, but neither does he, "We vampires are selfish creature, we don't share our prey. And it's been the main reason why our number is dwindling, we left trail of bodies for human to find and often we're too proud to mask the evidence.." He let go of the blond man's hand and hugged his own knees, "and getting intoxicated is proven to be more dangerous for us, turned us vulnerable and slow like a sitting duck." Raychu
"That's fine, I just hope you aren't intending to move an entire bed into my little apartment, just take mine if you don't want to share," Aeryn spoke quietly. He sniffed the air, a fate scent of human trail nearby. He didn't mind sharing a bed, he rarely slept anyway. He could sleep but he didn't need it, it didn't do anything for him besides waste time. He didn't dream either, all of his dreams were black nothingness. "I've heard it hurts pretty bad. Well, not those words exactly but the screams of pain make it sound like the pain is excruciating," he spoke softer. He felt himself go rigid as Luca rested his head on the zombie's shoulder. Was he insane? Aeryn could snap at any time and he was inviting it. The way he spoke, the zombie felt like he would take a bite right then and there. Aeryn pursed his lips, confused. "You're including yourself then? You did say we... so you're selfish, greedy, and extremely prideful of killing humans? You don't seem to be selfish and greedy, but I guess you don't eat the meat like I do so I'm not a threat," he pondered. It was intriguing to hear a vampire speak of other vampires so lowly, shouldn't they stand up for their own kind? He glanced down at the other, smelling his scent once more. He was trying to get used to it so he could easily depict it from the humans. "I'm still jealous that you can be intoxicated, I can't. Give me any kind of drug or alcohol, hell overdose me on it, nothing works. But it's to be expected, I mean I don't have any body functions anymore. Sometimes I wish I had someway to numb my pain," Aeryn's voice growing quieter. He really did wish he could have one taste of a high, just to see what it feels like, but it's something he'll never be able to experience. Nocski
He's tempting fate, he knew that. But perhaps he's been alone for long enough that he practically threw himself at the mercy of another undead. He noticed Aeryn's muscles tensed from his act, but he still rested his head on his shoulder anyway. He's tired. "I don't have a bed to begin with. What I call bed is just piles of my clothes stacked and slept on. I only have a suitcase of clothes and that's all. I wouldn't take much space, I promise." "Being cut with a consecrated silver knife hurts more for me.." He shrugged and held an old scar on his left arm, hidden under his clothes, "It's the only kind of wound I can't quickly heal.. So compared to your bite I think it won't hurt so much. Besides, human are wimps." He sneered. "I guess I'm included, of course, I don't share food with any of them." He scoffed, "I hate them enough to flee from a castle-full of them. They're all about hierarchy.. and freedom is a luxury there." His hand slowly strayed towards Aeryn's knee, then thigh, lastly his crotch. It was a tease of touch. "And you kept wanting something that will numb your senses.. I've been wondering if this part still work." He pressed a little harder, "If it does, then I may have one solution for this mind-numbing high that you seek.." Raychu
"Is that so? Then you can just have my bed, I'll sleep on the couch," Aeryn spoke softly. He truly didn't believe the boy would be taking up so much space it'd be a bother. He didn't even care if the boy took the bed, he didn't like it anyhow. He prefered his couch, it was a lot comfier. It supported him better and it was right near the television. His room was empty and lacking of any kind of entertainment. His couch was where he usually slept even without a guest being there. "That's mean. I would've screamed too if someone was threatening my life then hitting into my flesh when all my nerves were still intact. You haven't even felt the pain yet to say anything for sure," Aeryn mumbled like a small child. He was pouting at the fact he called humans wimps, he was once a human himself. Aeryn swallowed even when nothing was in his mouth. He was staring intently at the hand pressing on him. "Don't joke around, that's not funny," he barely breathed out. If he couldn't just gotten a high from pleasure he would've done that a long time ago. He was sure it didn't work, but he never tried so he waned completely sure whether it did or not.
