Name: Kouhei Kuzunoha

Age: 19

Role: Seme

Likes: Helping people, taking care of his responsibilities, talking to interesting people, his grandfather, cats (preferably black)

Dislikes: Swimming, unnecessary violence, egg whites

Bio:

Kouhei Kuzunoha is the heir apparent of the Kuzunoha clan, a mostly secluded clan of Onmyodo practitioners. He is not related to them by blood, but was raised as one of their own after he was found floating in the Kuzunoha Manor's backyard lake four years ago. With no memory of how he got there and nowhere else to go, he took to his new life with only a small amount of difficulty. Kouhei is polite and well-mannered, always speaking in with a dignified tone, however he still tolerates people who use "slang", simply as a courtesy.

Kouhei has a tendency to help people no matter the personal cost, a trait that has earned the admiration of those who depend on him, but also the ire of his adoptive grandfather whose protective streak when it came to Kouhei is spoken of in hushed whispers across the Manor's halls.

To further refine his ability to interact with the outside world, Kouhei has to go through university, and to validate his part-time work as a detective, he has taken up Law and is currently in his third year.

Name: Ritsu Kuon

Age: 17 years old

Role: Uke

Bio:

Ritsu Kuon is from an average kind of family. It consists of a mother and his big sister, his father were no longer around when he was given birth to and he doesn't know where his father's whereabout. Always being compared by his sister who was smart, social friendly, healthy, responsible, talented and very good looking while in Ritsu's case, he is very shy around people, a quiet kid, clumsy, dense, easily hurt, has a weak health though he is also as smart and good looking as his sister. He became really anti social and spends a lot of time secluded at his room.

But Ritsu decided to change. As he enters his freshmen year at Rakuen University and taking the Computer Engineering course, he decided to enter a club, which was the Artist's club and applied for a part time job at a cafe near his school. He is still very nervous and very anxious about it but he wants to just simply do his best.

Kouhei adjusted his cap in an effort to shield his eyes from the sunlight.

Today marked another day for him as a third year at Rakuen University. Three years...after one more, he was finally free to throw himself into his practice, into the dusty old tomes and texts that piled up in the Kuzunoha Manor's library. It was a boon to him, how the things around him seemed to have calmed down after he entered his third year in college. It afforded him quite a bit of free time...a luxury he so sorely missed in the previous years.

As he continued to walk towards the University's daunting gates, he disregarded the stares that often accompanied his presence. The uniform he wore highly resembled the gakuran he donned in his days as a high school student. While he outgrew the original, his grandfather was kind enough to commission his current attire. The sentimental value was too high for him to abandon the aesthetic he had nurtured for years…

”...Ah, but I had to abandon the cape. Grandfather was right...it would have been far too conspicuous.”

Kouhei smiled to himself. Now he walked the halls, making sure not to impact with students walking the opposite direction. His mind wandered to the friends he had made in the university.

Strangely, most of them were from the same club. The “Artist's Club”, it was called. Now, Kouhei was not much of an artist, he simply liked to admire the illustrations the more skillful members could make. From time to time, he would attempt to draw something, but in the end he would find himself lacking.

Kouhei stopped, his train of though also grinding to a halt. He blinked, looking up at the sign above the door before him...a sign that read “Artist's Club”.

“It...seems that I am already here. I should be mindful of my surroundings next time...”

With a soft laugh, he slowly turned the knob and opened the door...

Another class ended with no progress for Ritsu Kuon. In his first day it was already a mess, he was all nervous and fidgety and made his voice as soft as it can be on his introduction. The second day was also a mess, because when his classmates tried to talk to him, he couldn't say a thing, and made everyone feel awkward. And even now, in his third day... No one talked to him.

I bet... everyone thinks i'm a weird person... again.

His eyes were as dead as usual and just spaced out like always. He pushes back his glasses and grabbed his bag to put on his desk. While everyone was busy chatting with the others, he took the advantage to observe people... secretly.

After a while, it became an empty classroom with just him inside it.

I can't afford to make... the same mistakes over and over...

As he thought of that, Ritsu opened his bag and searched for something. It was an application form for a club.

"Ah... Oh no... It's all c...crumpled now..." He mumbled to himself with his shivering voice. He attempted straightening up the paper but still it was obvious. He let out a sigh and just stared at it.

I wrote 'Artist Club' on it... But I wouldn't know if i'll even... be accepted there... N-no! I already decided t..that i'll work hard from now on, that i'll change...

He closed his bag and stood up, he grabbed a piece of paper where the map to the clubroom was drawn by his teacher. He tried searching for it, but because he was directionally challenged, he got lost a few times. But neithertheless, he still managed to arrive to the clubroom.

While Ritsu was walking towards the right direction a meter or two before the clubroom, he saw a guy with a rather odd attire staring at the clubroom.

Eh? Is that person perhaps w..wearing a gakuran? Or maybe not, the design is similar but still quite different... And besides, this school doesn't require any uniforms...or so I thought...

He shrugged off his thoughts and shook his head. He breathed deeply but was still nervous. He clenched his hand unto his chest as he approached slowly with his other hand holding unto the club application form. But it seemed like the guy in likely gakuran attire entered the room before Ritsu could utter a word.

Ah...

Feeling someone's eyes on him, Kouhei stopped before he could fully enter the room. He inspected the inside of the club room for a scant few seconds, and seeing as nothing was amiss, he left it open and turned around to greet whoever was behind him.

It was another young man, his skin fair and seemingly unblemished, with a head of dark hair that appeared slightly messy. A pair of onyx eyes stared back at Kouhei from behind a simple pair of glasses. The young man's attire, a white-button up shirt under a baggy sweater that looked a little too big on his slender frame, made him look like he wasn't all too concerned about appearance…

Noticing the piece of paper in the young man's hand, Kouhei raised an eyebrow.

”Is that...a form? It could be something else but...”

Wondering if his guess was correct, Kouhei approached the young man, making sure to do so with the usual grace in which he moved day after day, and stopped just near enough for him to take the piece of paper if need be. But first...he had to know...so he smiled, in an effort to look approachable, and placed a hand to his own chest.

“Good day to you. My name is Kouhei, acting secretary of the Artist Club. Is there something you need?”

Thinking that the man was already inside the clubroom, Ritsu was about to step forward when suddenly the man in gakuran turned around and looked at him. Ritsu jolted and instead of moving forward, he stepped a few steps backwards as the other was approaching him slowly.

W...What should i d..do?!

Ritsu made a scared expression without him even realizing it. He just stared up to the tall man, which Ritsu was only on the length of that man's shoulders. Ritsu on his nervous state, only could make a frightened expression.

The man smiled and somehow made a very formal position, which Ritsu could only tell in movies or novels. The man greeted Ritsu with a polite and very formal manner which made Ritsu a bit cautious.

"Uhm... G...Good day...a..as well..." Ritsu said with his shivering soft voice trying to be polite.

So he's an acting... secretary? I wonder if I should j...just hand this paper over...

Ritsu offered the paper as he still hiding his face with his long bangs.

"I...I want to j..join the...c...club... please..."

He said, he can feel his heart racing and his nervousness almost killing him...

Gently so as not to further frighten the scared-looking young man, Kouhei took the form from his outstretched hand.

”Hm...everything seems to be in order. Ritsu...Kuon? I see...and a first year too...

While he inspected the details in the form, he glanced at Ritsu from time to time, taking note of his diminutive demeanor. Kouhei could practically feel the fear emanating from him...to say nothing of the way the younger man seemed to shiver.

With a nod, Kouhei lowered the form and regarded Ritsu with the same gentle smile he had moments ago. Perhaps he could try and ease Ritsu's worries a little. A tiny little voice in Kouhei's mind chimed in, taunting his innate desire to help people, and his smile faltered...but only for a moment. He composed himself once more before speaking...

“I'm glad to see a freshman interested in the club. Normally I would consult with our president, but I have been given clear instructions to accept interested applicants so long as they are able to draw and are willing to be mentored if need be...”

Kouhei took a few steps back, giving Ritsu some breathing space. Yes, that would have to do for now. He was always so eager to help that, at times, he became unmindful of his own and other people's feelings. Kouhei pulled out a small, leather-bound notebook and a pen. After flipping a few pages, he listed down Ritsu's full name before placing the form between the pages.

Upon closing it, he took a few more steps back so that his back was towards the club room before shifting to the side to give Ritsu some space to walk in.

“Perhaps we could talk some more inside the club room? We could iron out the details inside.”

As the man took the form and inspected it, Ritsu can't help but keep looking down pushing back his glasses which seems to keep sliding down his nose line. He can feel that he was being glanced from time to time, and became even more nervous. Clenching his palms at the edge of his long and wide sleeves and placed it over his heart pounding chest, he glanced a bit to the man. He saw the man nodded and lowered his form as he smiled looking straight at Ritsu.

Ugh... I feel like I am being t..treated like kid. Though it's not like I'm s..short or anything, he's just too tall... That's right, Ritsu... He's just tall! I'm not s..short...

Trying his best to be positive, he grabbed the courage to look back at the man who was explaining things to him.

"I...don't really have the talent for art...so... please guide me...."

Ritsu said with his usual soft voice and bowed his head for a moment or two.

I wonder what's this man's n..name again? hmm... i couldn't really concentrate so i didnt manage to hear him...

Ritsu shrugged his thoughts off and just walked forward to the way he was being guide to by the man in gakuran.

“Well, I will be sure to guide you whenever you need it. Come, let's get ourselves situated.”

The club room had all the amenities needed by artists. Three drawing tables, two canvases, some closets and drawers for art materials...there were even two computers, though one was reserved for administrative work. The other was for digital graphics and the occasional photo editing, and more often than not only one person would use it…

”...But he hasn't been here for a while now...”

A refreshing breeze rolled in from an open window. This was one of the things that made the room so worthwhile to spend time in. The lighting was adequate, and the old heater, while prone to malfunctioning at the most inopportune times, still worked…

Clearing his thoughts, Kouhei led Ritsu to the centerpiece of the room: a large rectangular table normally used for club meetings. He pulled back a chair on one side for Ritsu to sit on before making his way to the drawers.

He would need Ritsu to demonstrate what he could do, so Kouhei approached one of the drawers, opened it, and took out a short bond paper. After that he opened another one and procured a mechanical pencil and eraser. Kouhei found his thoughts wandering. It always made him happy to see other people's work...perhaps Ritsu was good, but only lacked confidence?

Kouhei then placed all the necessary material on Ritu's side of the table. The distance between both sides was not too far, so he only needed to bend over a bit. After this, he pulled his own chair back and sat, one hand supporting his chin while the other rested on the table. He gestured towards the free seat, hoping Ritsu could relax a little once he was seated.

“Please, take a seat, Ritsu. My name is Kouhei. I'd like to know what you're able to do, so I hope you don't mind demonstrating? Afterwards we'll see where we can go from there.”

Ritsu just followed what he was told so, and entered the clubroom. He was amazed by the sight of the clubroom. The facility was full of tools, equipments and many kinds of things which will totally create outstanding arts of various forms. Ritsu couldn't believe the sight and all of his nervousness faded instantly. The excitement and the pleasure of seeing such things that exceeded his expectations is far greater than his fear. He calmed down and smiled a bit, but still as secretive and silent like usual.

He was feeling a bit more comfortable with the suroundings and the atmosphere was just right for his current mood. But, as the man led him to the table, still being a bit shy, he was feeling odd of how the man was so formal and such.

H..he's really formal...like he was trained by some r..royalty or something... W..what should I do if this club re..requires formal etiquette...as well?

Ritsu gulped as he worries about stuffs. The man pulled back a chair, Ritsu was still having second thoughts if the things in his mind were right or wrong, if he should continue applying to this club or not, and if he should sit down on the seat that the man even bothered pulling back for him. He just stood there as he was still looking down shyly, clenching the edges of his sleeves and placing it over his chest.

As the man was busy getting something out of the drawers, Ritsu took the advantage to glance at the man and straighten up his position. The man puts the materials on Ritsu's side of the table and sat not too far from where Ritsu was suppose to sit. The man gestured towards the free seat for Ritsu, and intoduced himself again with the details of what he needed to do.

S..So he's name is Kouhei huh... Ngh... w..what should I demostrate t..though?

Ritsu sat down as proper as he could, with each of his clenched palm on his lap but still avoiding eye contacts. He pushed back his glasses and gulped once more.

"U...uhm... I could only do... animations... so.... uhm... and I have too little... imaginations... so it won't be as good as you will e..expect..."

With him stuttering words and saying it in his usual soft voice, Ritsu could feel that his palm were getting sweaty because of the long range of time that he was clenching his hands closed. Taking chances, he glanced to the man and finally made eye contacts.

Kouhei let out a soft chuckle, finding a little amusement at how Ritsu seemed so tense. It wasn't out of malice, oh no, but out of the simple fact that at one point, he himself had also been shy. Instead of stuttering and shivering like a leaf, fearing what people would say however, he was silent and would be prone to brooding.

His curiosity was piqued when the shy, bespectacled young man mentioned 'animation', though. A versatile medium, it was something Kouhei was fond of witnessing in the production stage. But...animation normally started with drawing, right? Unless...no, most of the time something had to be put on paper first and then translated into a digital format…

...Kouhei rubbed his forehead. He made sure not to sigh too loudly...thinking about the process, while exhilarating, also made his head hurt a little. He made a mental note to reign in how far his thought-process went…

Once the slight jab of pain faded away, Kouhei composed himself, hoping that Ritsu did not notice the moment he was having. He started thinking about what he could have Ritsu do as a demonstration, adopting a look of concentration where he had one hand grasping his chin and the other underneath his elbow. His eyes were closed in contemplation.

“Mm...we could use one of the computers to animate, but I really would like to see you draw something first...”

It was then that, after he looked up to see what Ritsu was doing, he noticed the younger man make eye contact with him. Onyx met onyx, and in the span of a scant few seconds Kouhei was able to further take in the young man's features. Short...shaggy hair...clothes that seemed a size too big for him...pale...shy demeanor…

”...I've got it.”

Kouhei nodded to himself, and lightly hammered one of his hands into the palm of the other as though he had just stumbled upon a great idea. His voice was calm and his face betrayed no emotion when he looked Ritsu straight in the eyes and spoke:

“...Draw someone in sheep-themed clothing. It doesn't have to be perfect, even a rough sketch will do.”
