AlphaZero
Name: Aaron Montgomery Age: 17 Personality/Bio: Aaron Montgomery has everything: girls, alcohol, cars, his so-called friends, a dysfunctional and distant family, expectations that never cease in suffocating him, as well as a loving, abusive, sorry-ass excuse for a father. All hope of living his own life and making his own choices, whether they be wrong, gray, or right, have seem to dispersed into thin air. Aaron may seem like he has everything, but in all actuality, he has nothing. So many people view him as the spoiled, self-absorbed prince who couldn't care less about anyone else but himself. His friends don't care about anything but his money. His life is not even his anymore. And his family is just purely...sad. They might be the picturesque of a perfect, happy family, but that's just for the publicity and image. Behind the scenes, they can't even have one family dinner without an argument, typically about Aaron. People don't like him. They like him for his looks, his money, and everything that's not him. No one sees him. No one cares for him. By putting up harsh fronts and acting like the jerk he's supposed to be, as people viewed him, he closes himself off and puts up defenses for the sake of his own sanity. Though, it's not like he likes doing that either. If someone really tried to get to know him, he'd open up. Then they'd see who he truly was. They'd see a young man desperately wanting to live. Other than the cold, harsh front he puts up, Aaron is actually free-spirited. He's energetic and enthusiastic, enough for others to see the shiny glint in his eyes when he's excited. Though, not anyone has seen it. His intelligence shows with the fact that he's at the top of his class, even though he doesn't try much. While being the possessive, clingy, and jealous type, Aaron knows how to control his emotions, and will sooner or later realize that he doesn't need to feel that way. There's never been anyone that had actually made him react in that way though. Eating, writing, and napping is his favorite past time, but he hasn't really had much time to do that lately with all the "stuff" he has to do for the "King". There are many sides to him that no one has seen yet. He sometimes wonders if he's ever going to have someone come into his life and and then actually make him feel the need to show that person everything. BlaqueCatt
"I'll be home late tonight, Elliot, so make sure you remember to pick your sister up from school, okay?" The black-haired young man looked up from his place at the kitchen table, where he had been shoving his books and papers into his backpack, and nodded to his mother. "Sure, mom." For the past eleven years his mother had been working double-shifts every day, all in an attempt to push Elliot and his younger sister through college. That was the end goal, but with all of the necessities that had to be paid for, there was barely anything left to go into the college fund (Elliot would be grateful to just make it through high school, but he didn't tell his mother that). He wanted to take on a part-time job so he could help his mother with their living expenses, but she refused, saying that he needed to put all of his focus and effort into school so that he would be able to obtain a respectable career once he was older. His mother gave him a tired smile, walked over to peck him on the cheek, then made her way to the door. There was the sound of a car starting, though the usual smooth rumble was replaced with groans, wheezes, and coughs. In Elliot's opinion, it was a miracle the car still moved. As soon as the car pulled out of the driveway, a series of loud thumps came from down the hallway, signaling Elliot's sister's descent down the staircase. She ran into the kitchen with her purple backpack on her shoulders, smiling up at her older brother. "I'm ready!" she exclaimed. Elliot shook his head at her boundless energy and slung his backpack over his left shoulder. He took his sister's left hand with his right, and led them out the door, making sure to lock it behind them. Elliot and his sister always went to school early so she could have some of the free breakfast that the elementary school provided, as they couldn't afford breakfast foods that they could eat at home. Once his sister was safely dropped off at her school's cafeteria, Elliot headed over to the high school. He kept his hands in his jean pockets as he walked, his black and white Converse sneakers scuffing the ground with each step. A small rock caught his attention, and he began to kick it along, his blue eyes focused on it as he neared the entrance to the school. Right before he reached the doors, he kicked the rock to the side, watching it collide with one of the school's brick walls before heading inside. He ignored the sound of footsteps approaching from behind, knowing that as soon as he stopped at his locker Aaron Montgomery's rich-kid goons would be all over him. He reached his locker and, in the process of opening it, heard someone behind him clear their throat. He rolled his eyes and inwardly sighed. He knew they bullied him because he was poor, but it still didn't make sense; usually lackeys followed their leader, and Aaron had shown no interest in Elliot at all. Maybe they're just spiteful assholes.
