I think the level of interaction is depending on the theme of the photo shot. In this photo shot, I think they took a formal theme thus limiting friendly interactions (unlike, say, Yoho/Easy). Men's UNO, on the other hand, took "sexy/sensual/bromance(?)" theme, thus we were bleeding to death seeing their photos XD

 

I just watched the same video and I think the photographer took many individual photos, Zhouzhou first, then Johnny, then Zhouzhou again etc. Only in the later part he took photos with both of them. You could see starting 1:45:00 (need to squint, though) that while they were sitting side-by-side waiting for the photographer, they talked to each other (Johnny's head look at Zhouzhou on his right). The camera was too far though, and filming from behind so we could not see their expression.

The second time, he pretended that Zhouzhou slapped him and he twisted his body, pretending fell off from the chair. Zhouzhou wanted to swat his butt but caught himself LOL (yeah, him swatting Jingyu in front of those fangirls would set weibo on fire! XD)

Personally, I believe that NO ONE is 100% straight, not even 100% gay. Everyone falls as a certain point on a spectrum. There will always be exceptions. I bet every single straight person has someone of the same sex they would f**k. There's gotta be one... out of billions of people on earth? The problem is that people see in terms of black and white. It's society's fault for telling them the gender roles and expectations. People say they're straight or gay just to be safe. Labels are rubbish. Only sexual fluidity! I mean, there are 'straight' men doing gay porn- 'gay for pay' or something like that... and ultra macho men are like, "oh oh naw, naw straight, my ass. they're gay!" but then some these men are married and have kids. So is it these 'gay-for-pay' men are in the closets or that these macho men are insecure about their sexuality? There's just too much stigma around it that no one feels comfortable to discuss or even think about what they've been feeling. Most men would just discard these feelings and move on. They don't want to explore their sexuality simply because it'd complicate things. Blah!

 

Someone asked me how did I knew I was bi when I was a virgin, I asked the same question, "how did you know you were straight before you f**ed?" It was absurd question. Then he tried to argue with me that it's 'natural feeling' that being straight is 'default' by what means? procreation? Then I asked him why is he f**king these girls and not getting them pregnant like he was supposed to 'by nature'? Seriously, we're not living in Stone Age. Today, we are NOT DRIVEN by survival but EMOTIONS, and attachment. We're democratic in nature. That's the true evolution of human beings. We're supposed to be conscious as our nature intended us to be. We are supposed to be intelligent and flexible. But still evident today, too many people are resistant to changes because.... fear.

There's no way they'll be changing the main characters. Like she said, nobody would watch it so why waste time and money?? Honestly, it'd be a huge slap across the face if they (main) just decide not to continue with the series. They'd lose too many fans.... makes no sense. They're NOT PROPERTIES of their managers, (screw anyone who tries to stop them) They should be able to make their own decisions regarding their careers. And I beg them to think other than fame and money..... I swear, there are trolls out there crushing dreams. Bastards!

Finished translating the second page of the Easy magazine ^^

Summary of the blurb prior to the interview: the interviewer started interviewing ZZ first because JY was still doing his makeup. At first ZZ's answers to the questions weren't that great because he's the type who slowly warms up to people. The interviewer thought that people who are/were in bands must all have that kind of strong personality. After warming up, ZZ started to relax and his slightly more goofy side started to show. In terms of the outfits chosen for the photoshoot, ZZ was against wearing the shorts at first because he's kind of self conscious about his leg hair but he tried it out anyway. The staff were impressed by his professionalism and cooperation.

 

Q: In this show you played BLY who is often "abused" by GH. Which scene gave you the greatest impression/was most memorable?

ZZ: The scene that was most memorable for me was the one where HJY and I were intimate for the first time, because our actions and emotions were quite intense.

 

Q: BLY is a top student. When you were in school, how were your grades? What kind of a student were you?

ZZ: Although I wasn't a top student, my grades were pretty good. But at that time, I was still rather naughty. My favourite class was PE.

 

Q: In the original novel, BLY's penmanship is really good, it seems like you also practiced your penmanship. What score would you give to your current penmanship?

ZZ: 59 points. I think it looks okay if I write each word individually. But when I put a string of words together, the effect isn't as good. (laugh)

 

Q: Its said that for the show, you knitted a scarf to give to HJY. Are you good with your hands?

ZZ: When I studied music, I played the guitar so I think I'm pretty good with my hands. When I was knitting, everything went pretty smoothly, but when I finished, I found 3 holes. (Interviewer: Do you still remember HJY's reaction when you gave the scarf to him?) He was happy of course. (laugh)

 

Q:You graduated from an arts school, your dance skills are also pretty good. Do you have any bad memories of your school days?

ZZ: Everyday we had to stretch. In my memory, there's only the word "pain".

 

[The next question is a bit awkward to translate word for word. The question basically asked him why he switched from being in a band to acting. ZZ answered that he took acting classes in high school and later on in post secondary school. Music is more of a hobby for him.]

 

Q: The show's two theme songs "Walk Slowly" and "海若有因" were written by you, can you share what inspired these two songs? [there's no official Eng name for 海若有因 yet right? >.>]

ZZ: The inspiration was something that just suddenly came. At that time I was reading the novel, then I started to try and understand BLY's state of mind. I finished writing these two songs in one day.

 

Q: "海若有因" was sung by both you and HJY, can you rate his singing ability?

ZZ: Good! (Interviewer: Are there any other adjectives? During recording, did you give him any suggestions?) He sang pretty well. I let him freely express himself, not giving him any pressure, he expressed himself well.

 

Q: Young people/kids who are in bands usually have a stronger personality, are you the type who is more assertive of their own point of view/opinion?

ZZ: I do count as a kid with a strong personality.

 

Q: Men who can play instruments are usually pretty popular with the ladies right? Have you ever confessed to a girl you liked by writing her a song?

ZZ: I'm alright. When I was in a band, there actually weren't any girls who thought "Wow, so handsome!" just because I knew how to play the guitar. I also never wrote a song for a girl before because the songs that I wrote back then were more rock and heavy metal, not really suitable for a confession. (laugh)

 

Q: What type of girl you like? If you have a girlfriend, what kind of actions do you think a best boyfriend would do? ["best boyfriend" as in if there's a scale from bad boyfriend to best boyfriend, what sort of actions would the best boyfriend do to be that perfect?]

ZZ: (thinking for a few seconds) I don't really have a specific type of girl that I like, I think it's fine as long as the two people get along and have feelings for each other. I think there are a lot of small things in life that can show how good of a boyfriend you are, but the most important thing to have is still the ability to protect your girlfriend.

 

Q: Fans all like your big eyes and thick lips, which part of your body do you think is the most attractive?

ZZ: Perhaps everyone notices my eyes when they first look at me, but I still think my nose is pretty attractive.

 

Q: You nickname "Zhouzhou" is pretty cute, do you think you're the cute type of male?

Z: Not really. (laugh) In everyday life I'm kind of silly/stupid, there are a lot of people think I have a silly/stupid personality.

 

Q: You have more experience in acting than HJY. During filming, did you give him any suggestions?

ZZ: I haven't actually given him any suggestions. HJY is pretty smart, there are some things that he gets in one go.

 

Q: As a Libra, do you feel indecisive easily?

ZZ: Yes. When I'm shopping, I'll have a hard time choosing [what to buy], or when I'm making decisions. But once I make a decision, I won't change it.

 

Q: The previous movie you starred in "Gaming Madness" was about gaming. Are you a crazy fan of gaming?

ZZ: When it comes to games, I'm not to the point where I'm crazy about it. I just see it as a way to relax.

 

Q: For yourself, what does acting and music mean to you?

ZZ: These two are both things that I love doing. Right now, acting is my job. Music is a hobby that I cannot bear to leave.

. It is a work in progress and they have barely started but they have the most accurate translation.

 

The next few part of the novel is where the story really picks up and you can see how BLY and GH's love progress through many pains and tribulations. It is where they start to show trust, understanding and love. That is why season 2 and 3 of Addicted is sooooo important. There will be so many memorable scenes and character development. I can tell you straight up the first part(up to episode 15) cannot compare to what is going to happen. :Sad:

SH returns and try to win over BLY's heart. GH becomes jealous and insecure because BLY is still quite tender with SH. After an argument and make up, SH invites BLY for lunch. GH gives permission but still sends 2 grunts to watch over BLY. The 2 grunts misunderstood and attacked BLY. This broke BLY's heart as GH promised to "Fully trust BLY with all his heart" after last night's argument. BLY went back to their house and began to pack his stuff to leave. GH confronts BLY and asks if he is returning to her. In the fit of anger, BLY tells him that he is going back to SH and may go oversea. GH asks "are you telling me the truth? BLY looks him in the eyes and replied, "You should know if I am telling the truth." BLY leaves to stay at an hotel temporarily until his head is clear.

 

SH finds GH to asks GH to help her to patch up with BLY. GH obviously refused and told her he is now BLY's lover. She smiled and tauted, "In the end, BLY will still always choose me. He is someone who is extremely principled who have a set of values/principles he lives his life by and always follows them in the end. His fling with you is only because of my absence and loneliness. I am who he truly loves."

 

SH and GH both try to find BLY but SH managed to do so first. In an attempt to seduce BLY, she undresses herself in the hotel to sleep next to him(BLY wants SH to go home but did not have the heart to since it is late, she is a girl and she is spotting a fever. GH comes and saw them and misunderstood. This broke them up.

 

SH spends the next few days trying to convince BLY to go overseas. In a desperate attempt, she arranged for people to sexually assault her in from of BLY. BLY thought GH sent them as he remembers GH saying, "I am someone who will go to the extreme if you ever betrays me" in the carpark scene in episode 15. BLY confronts GH and GH is completely hurt and disappointed that BLY would think or even believe he is capable of such things. He asks BLY to get out and they become strangers. They now completely breaks up. The book ends.

 

 

 

 

GH overhears SH's with BLY's mum to send BLY overseas to study. He now realises what kind of person SH is. In a rash decision, he kidnapped and raped BLY in front of SH. BLY was in so much pain that he fainted from the agony. After calling for a doctor, GH spends the next few days taking care of BLY in bed. After he recovered, he left. GH asks if he is really leaving for real this time BLY answered, "If you already know this would happen, why did you still do it then?"

 

After leaving, BLY confronts SH tell her it is over and GH was indeed his lover. SH couldn't believe and asks, "You have changed... What happened to your logical mind? What happened to the rules and principles you live by?"

 

BLY replied, "I am someone who follows his heart now."

 

BLY leaves and confronted his mum. They settled and BLY returned to his father's house. During the Chinese New Year, YM came over and invited BLY to a carnival. To clear his mind, he agreed. After some games, BLY won a gigantic

JY: Training was always very hard, each move needed to be done thousands of times.

 

Q: As an athlete, what do you do to stay in shape?

JY: I try to train and work out for 3 hours everyday.

 

Q: You trained your body very well, in the drama there were scenes where you take off your clothes. Were you embarrassed during filming?

JY: It was okay because I was already a model beforehand, I often had to take off my clothes. So during the filming process, I wasn't particularly embarrassed.

 

Q: You have the standard model body, in terms of clothing and fashion, do you have your own style?

JY: During springtime, I really like wearing t-shirts with jeans, it feels very comfortable.

 

Q: Apparently you've been having trouble sleeping lately, have you found any methods to relieve your insomnia?

JY: I saw some methods that fans have recommended, but after trying them out I didn't really find them to be that helpful.

 

Q: You can also handle your alcohol well right? How much can you drink?

JY: I'm a good drinker, but I can't drink too much. If I get drunk, I might suddenly erupt in sadness.

 

Q: When you were on the show "Queen/我是大美人", you were ridiculed by Teacher He [he's one of the host of the show] for being "hard to talk to". When you're with friends, are you also this frank?

JY: Yes, Teacher He always ridiculed me for being hard to talk to. (laugh) When I talk to my friends, I'm also quite straightforward. I even reflected on this problem afterwards. I noticed when other people go on TV shows and the host tells a joke, they can keep the conversation going. But when Teacher He told me a joke, I just answered with one or two words, I can pretty much answer in less than five words.

 

Q: Do you really like foreign girls? Fans all say that you have a nice "mysterious smile", what do you think is your "secret weapon" for attracting girls? [i think "foreign" can be read as "Western" as well]

J: Yes, I really do like foreign girls, there are many foreign models who are my type, although I can't pronounce their names. I'm not sure what part of me attracts the ladies, but it seems like they all have a good impression of me.

 

Q: What was your reaction when your fans gave you the nickname "whale"? Are there any other nicknames that are more exaggerated than this one?

JY: My friends used to call me this too, so I think this nickname is quite familiar. I've also been called "Arowana/金龙鱼/Huang Long Yu". [it's another type of fish]

 

Q: You were born in the year of the monkey, so when you were younger, were you a naughty little kid?

JY: I was quite a naughty child. When I was in elementary school, I took clarinet lessons. Sometimes I would use going to these lessons as an excuse, slip out [of the house] to play, and when my mother found out, I would sometimes get hit. However, my mother never really hit me [that much], that all happened when I was really small.

Well...I've heard a news.. saw it actually on Addicted FB page. Apparently CJD has said that she would start shooting for Season 2 within this year itself, however, the cast might change because Johnny and Zhouzhou have got other projects lately and might be busy with them.

I read this in the morning and i am in a very very bad mood since then. This is the worst thing that can happen to the series. In season 1 i have seen how they fall in love as teenagers and how they pass through their adolescent years. In season 2 i would definitely want to watch the same two people taking their relationship further to a more mature level, not some strangers!! Isn't that common sense??

 

Humble request to CJD, Johnny and Zhouzhou.... please think of your fans before taking a decision. How can you just abandon us? Its heartbreaking !!

AFAIK, it is not yet decided that season 2 WILL have new cast. It's just CJD stating a possibility, which is very reasonable. But, it is also possible that she is testing the market; she wants to know whether new cast for season 2 is acceptable by fans or not; also it is important to know whether the fans would forgive Johnny/Zhouzhou if they do not participate in season 2.

I don't think it's common, and Chinese fans don't know why Zhou's manager wasn't there either. I just did some research, it's said that Zhou's manager is actually his friend, not professional and experienced, so... Well, there are so many things about them that we don't know, I think we just have to wait.

It is to sample the responses she would get from the viewers. Personally I don't understand how two new actors would be able to portray the relationship of Gu Hai and Bao Lu Yin without it being natural. Johnny and Zhouzhou have been working together to make this happen. Their chemistry is natural and I feel like because of the abrupt ending in season 1... adding two new casts might in a way affect the flow of the story.

 

All of the sudden... the viewers would be confused.

I guess arranging the boys to be together for fan meeting requires more work since Johnny is not under CJD's management (while Zhouzhou is). Not to mention, I guess at this moment Johnny and Zhouzhou have bigger (from popularity/business perspective) offers to consider; so yeah, the future is uncertain...

It's NOT "REASONABLE" There's nothing reasonable about it... AT ALL. These actors became famous BECAUSE of Addicted. And without Addicted.... they're nothing.... besides maybe Zhouzhou'd get by with his music but let's face it, if it wasn't for Addicted, his music would not hit the top chart. Let's be honest here... Now if they are too 'busy' for season 2, then it's clear they choose fame/money over fans.

 

So you're asking me to remain 'loyal' to them while they abandon the series? Um, no honey, I don't give a fuck about their photo shootings or future drama. I give a fuck whether the story will be completed. Whether they will continue to be THE Guhai and THE Bai Luo Yin. And it'll not the same without them. So if they forget 'Addicted' then they forget us. It's like lying to your girlfriend you slept with someone just to see if she'd stay or leave. Hey, if you really cheated on her, would you blame her for leaving you? Is this type of behavior acceptable? It's cruel!

 

So if Johnny and Zhouzhou cheat on us, and you ask us to stay with them? LOL!

 

There's no way in hell the 'fans' would accept this change. They'd be shallow and gullible! To stay with the unfaithful who do not regret their decisions or apologize at all.

It's NOT ethical. I agree. It's outrageously unethical to the point that I would definitely stop or halt my support to CJD. She is abandoning Counterattack, and now this. Uh Huh nuh-huh. To 'test' or sample the fans isn't professional at all. We became fans of Johnny and Zhouzhou BECAUSE of ADDICTED. Not because of their 'pretty faces' okay? And that Johnny IS GUHAI, and vice versa. And fans of the novels, let's not forget novel fans, NOT drama addicts, who loved this story tremendously and to be very satisfied with their performance based on the novel, it's a hit. Chemistry aside, it'd simply not be Addicted anymore. If they will change the main actors, or CJD to promote this rubbish notion, then I will abandon this series completely. Because hey, they'd be the first ones to abandon us. In other words, this is completely suicidal!!

CJD, you are a screenwriter... Not Make-Someone-A-Superstar-Maker. Due to this outrageous focus on contracts, offers, and such, I am questioning the intentions of Johnny and Zhouzhou now.
