I think you are right and you are spoton in describing him. He does seems unusually moody. You can tell from the way he is during the BTS and now. Addicted S2 needs to happen now. They need to lock JingYu and ZhouZhou together for a month together! =P

And the smut scenes... hehehehe... Didn't ZhouZhou mentioned in the YY interview that the drama wasn't as graphic as he wanted? JingYu teased him and asked what do you want and ZZ replied "Your Love!" ~

I will do it.

But the novel simply cuts away from the crash scene abruptly to 8 years later without explaining much and portraying much. The novel wants us to appreciate BLY sacrificed(you can tell how much he values his family) by him making the decision(it was BLY decision alone) to leave GuHai so suddenly(so much so that he missed his Grandma's death! As filial as BLY is, that CRUSHED HIM). He did it so as to protect GuHai and achieve something so that he he is in a position to pursue GuHai as an equal with his father's acceptance. Theyway CJD do it is to pepper the pain and agony they felt in different parts along part 2 as they faces more difficulty. I will see what I can do

Here it is. This is the first part. The scene in split into multiple chapters and I will try to finish them by tonight. In this scene what the drama leaves out is how much BLY values family. The actual reason for rejecting GH was his family. Throughout the novel, BLY is described as someone who is INCREDIBLY loyal to his family and would do anything for his family. So when BLY left for 8 years in the second part, it was kind of the the ultimate sacrifice that he could have done because it actually also hurts him to hurt his father(not only he couldn't see his family but his family couldn't see him).

Anyways enough babbling, here is part 1:

Chapter 79: You are him?!

“What are you doing here?” BaiLuoYin asked coldly.

JiangYuan could not hide the hurt in her voice, “Son, I…”

“If you are here to create trouble, please leave. No one will entertain you here”, BaiLuoYin replied before she can finish.

Shock and hurt can clearly be seen stretched on JiangYuan’s beautiful face. She could never have imagined that her own son would use such hurtful language towards her. Even if she was wrong in the past, she is still BaiLuoYin’s biological mother. For a mother to endure this from her own son, how much patience must she have!

“Why did you sent someone to wreck my aunt’s store?”

JiangYuan nervously clutched her handbag, “LuoYin, listen to your mom, that women is not sincere towards you. You are still young and do not know the complications of society. However nice she is, she must have an ulterior motive. As a woman, I know these type of things the best...”

“Then what does she want? Does she want money? Do we have money? Does she want power? Do we have power? If she is doing this for Dad, then I am more than willing to accept her.”

With a deep sigh JiangYuan replied, “And if you are willing to accept your Dad’s second marriage, then why not mine as well? Do I not have the right to pursue my own happiness too? Do you only have such narrow view on women?”

“Never did I rejected that,” a sudden chill enveloped BaiLuoYin’s voice, “When did I ever rejected your second marriage?”

“Then why are so adamant towards me?”

“Because we are not family.”

An unbearable pain roiled within within JiangYuan’s heart. All colours are slowly drained from her face as she physically winced in pain, turning to an almost dusty grey, so much so that she did not notice when GuHai approached them.

“Why are you here?” a voice boomed from behind them both.

BaiLuoYin immediately snapped his head back, confused as to why GuHai would use those words.

GuHai’s face was stone cold as he approached JiangYuan.

“What are you doing here?”

Using simple logic, the only reason JiangYuan would be here was to cause trouble and knowing her, she will probably try her luck on BaiLuoYin this time round.

“You… you know her?” a deep sense of shock stunned BaiLuoYin to his feet, his voice almost trembling.

“Of course!” GuHai pulled BaiLuoYin’s arms, keeping him away from JiangYuan and into a half hug as he lowered his head towards BaiLuoYin’s ear. In what was meant to be a whisper, he purposefully pitched his voice loudly that everyone could hear what he is trying to say, “She is my Dad’s new wife. She may look decent on the outside but that is not who she is. Seeing how close you are to me, she must be trying to cause a rift between us. Ignore her, let us go.”

GuHai turned towards the store and began to pull BaiLuoYin along. However, BaiLuoYin is rooted firmly to the ground. Like a dead weight, no amount of budging can move him.

“The two of you… You know each other?”

The truth already dawn clearly on BaiLuoYin but deep confusions still surrounds GuHai.

JiangYuan reached forward and clutched both their hands bringing them together, the excitement in her voice resonates in the cold autumn air around them. “This is excellent! I was worried that the two of you wouldn’t get along that the two of you will never agree to a reunion dinner. This is great, this is great…”

As the circumstance slowly dawn on GuHai, his brows furrowed together, a strange mix of confusion and rejection stirred in his heart, as if not believing the words coming out of the woman in front of him.

Seeing his confusion, JiangYuan tightened her grip on their hands, her voice beaming with sudden energy and happiness, “You silly boy, haven’t you realised? BaiLuoYin is the son that I have been mentioning to you. Like I said, he is as stubborn as you are, aren’t I right?”

“…”

A deep and searing pain suddenly struck GuHai, like a pinpoint stab plunged into his heart. He almost doubled over from the sudden pressure enveloping him. Clutching his chest, it is as though he could physically feel the deep dark hole crushing his heart, his lungs burned as he took a deep breath.

Why must it be him? Him of all the people in the world?

Wrestling free of his hands from JiangYuan, BaiLuoYin sharply turned and returned to the store in strong quiet paces. Snatching his bag, he immediately turned towards the exit.

“Son, is there something wrong?”

A sense of stone chill could be felt even from BaiLuoYin’s still face. BaiHanQi knew something isn’t right.

With a calm and steady voice, BaiLuoYin replied, “I am alright Dad, I just need to go somewhere first.”

Worry still set on BaiHanQi, “Where are you going? The store is opening in just a while.”

“Dad, I am returning home for a while, I had forgotten about something”

Without giving BaiHanQi a chance to respond, his quick turn and sharp steps carried him out of the store.

GuHai body is still rooted on the ground, his body still trembling from the shock of what just happened. But upon seeing BaiLuoYin back as he left the store, a sudden sense of resolution is set upon him, and he rushed forward immediately with a purpose.

“Yin-Zi!”

GuHai shouted at the top of his voice.

BaiLuoYin did not respond. His steady pace carried a sense of anger and rejection. He cannot accept this reality. No matter which family GuHai belonged to, be they the General Secretary’s or the President’s and BaiLuoYin would not have mind. But not him. Not GuWeiTing: the family that caused his own family such hurt and agony.

“BaiLuoYin!” GuHai continued as he quicken his pace.

BaiLuoYin continued on his footsteps, not even slowing for a bit.

GuHai finally caught up, reaching his hand forward to BaiLuoYin’s shoulders, “Didn’t you hear me calling for you?”

The two men stood at the edge of a street, their eyes finally met. For the first time since meeting each other, the gaze between them were of such frigid coldness and rejection.

“I heard you,” words were short and sharp.

“Then why did you not respond?”

BaiLuoYin narrowed his eyes and turned to walk away but were stopped by the firm grip on his shoulders.

“Leave!” his voice was sharp and concise. Many times BaiLuoYin have used this word on GuHai but this time the intention is clear.

GuHai’s strength faltered as uncertainty briefly rocked his body. He have never heard BaiLuoYin used this tone on anyone before.

“Leave? Why should I leave?” but GuHai refused to relent.

BaiLuoYin moved to grab GuHai by his collar, “You fucking liar!”

“I lied?!” Sudden anger now exploded from GuHai’s chest, “I also only knew about this just now. Didn’t you hear her? I have no idea that she was your mother. Tell me. What did I lie to you about?”

My feelings…

GuHai took a deep breath and trained his eyes sharply on BaiLuoYin’s. There is only this one place in his heart that remained untainted by hurt or pain. That place belonged only to BaiLuoYin. But somehow tiny strands of cracks are appearing where they shouldn’t be…

BaiLuoYin simply turned and began walking.

GuHai kept pace and both remain silent until they reached BaiLuoYin’s home.

BaiLuoYin entered and swiftly turned to close the door. Almost by instinct, GuHai stamped his foot between the doors, the sudden force reverberated through the ground.

“BaiLuoYin, what do you want from me?”

Clutching BaiLuoYin with both his hands, he slammed BaiLuoYin to the wall behind him. Gritting his teeth as he forces the words out, “Have I ever mistreated you? Are you the only one hurt by this? Let me tell you, your mother slept with my Dad for so many years while my Mom died an unnatural death. The one saying leave should be me!”

The hurt from those words reverberated deeply within BaiLuoYin. His neck turned a shade of purple and red from the strength of GuHai hands crushing it but he could not feel it.

“Yes… you are right… You have the right to be angry. Then why not leave? Leave so that both of us are happy!”

“You are asking me why am I not leaving?” GuHai voice grew rough in a scoff as he narrowed his gaze on BaiLuoYin, “If I could ever bear to leave you, I would have left immediately! No matter the hate I have for your mother, it cannot compare to the love I have for you, not even a little bit! BaiLuoYin, you hate my father that I understand and I will not stop you. But why should his sins be set upon me? Don’t it think that you are being especially cruel?”

BaiLuoYin slowly reached and clutched GuHai’s hands, methodically removing them, finger by finger.

“GuHai. I do not hate you nor do I hate you family. But I simply cannot accept you, or your family. Because I have my own family. Your family is a scar of hurt forever etch onto my family and I cannot allow that. Your father may accept my mother’s past but my Dad, he couldn’t.”

GuHai’s heart slowly sank towards his guts word by word as the reality of BaiLuoYin’s words finally set into his head.

“So you are saying that I must go?”

BaiLuoYin simply turned, “I will pack you things for you.”

“BaiLuoYin," GuHai narrowed his grip on last time, "Is this it?"

Never in his life did BaiLuoYin realised the path from the door to his room was so long and narrow as if slowly squeezing the life out of him with every step he took. A deafening silence enveloped them both.

Finally GuHai spoke. His voice is strangely calm and firm.

“There is no need for that. Congratulate aunt on my behalf for her store.”

With that, GuHai simply turned and left. As the winds blew in rhythm with GuHai’s departing steps, BaiLuoYin felt a giant gaping hole has been carved in his heart as if the other half of his soul have decided to separate from him.

GuHai winded down a familiar road as memories of laughter and happiness slashed across his heart, leaving behind a searing pain after each slash. Just yesterday he have broken up with JinLuLu. And yet, that numbness could not compare to the crushing burden now in his heart. It is as if someone is clutching unbearably hard on his heart, squeezing it, refusing to let go. His chest heaved from the pain as every nerve in his body burned to the core. A slow numbness enveloped from his feet up as every breath and every step strained his entire body…

Just as BaiLuoYin is exiting his room, GrandmaBai is pouring water into a bowl.

“We are having dumpling tonight!” the happiness can be felt in her booming voice as GrandpaBai stomped his feet his laughter beside her.

And yet, BaiLuoYin could feel nothing.

After setting aside the kettle, GrandmaBai turned to face BaiLuoYin, “Me and your #$@&(Grandpa) made two &$%@(dumplings). We know that Da-Hai loves it!” the smile from her lips almost reached her ears.

After being the official translator for GrandmaBai, GuHai become the only person whose name GrandmaBai could pronounce properly.

Zhouzhou and Johnny are wearing exactly same diamond studs on their ears (left) Round, same size diamonds. Before Zhouzhou wore hoop, but now diamond. It gives off the same shimmer and all. Definitely the same pair!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! foxy3

Thank you for accepting my request and thank you for translating that scene. I can't wait for the second part. BLY's action makes more sense to me after reading your translation. He just couldn't accept someone from a family that hurts his family since he values his family so much. Especially this part explained his action a lot:

"No matter which family GuHai belonged to, be they the General Secretary’s or the President’s and BaiLuoYin would not have mind. But not him. Not GuWeiTing: the family that caused his own family such hurt and agony."

:_red_fox 1

BLY couldn't see his family for 8 years? :_red_fox 18 Oh dear... but why, though? Just to not be discovered by Gu Hai? He could always meet his father in "secret", right? :_red_fox 12 Or his father could go visit him in the military.

To be honest, BLY's leaving GH after the car crash scene kinda.... extreme to me. I'm still unable to fully grasp the meaning of BLY's action.

This following is the second part as promised.

This is easily one of the most touching part of the entire novel as BLY and GH separated for real the first time in their relationship and the novel explored what they meant to each other for the first time.

As I was translating this chapter, I choked again towards the end as I remember why: Towards the end of the chapter, BaiLuoYin remembered a song sang to him by GuHai. It is 我只在乎你(I only Care About You) by Teresa Teng. The same song is used in the drama too. The song is about an overwhelming love for someone that cannot be replaced. The song goes through questions, wondering about the immense impact that someone have brought to their life.

--edit--

It is clear the BLY and GH are that special someone to each other. And each other's appearance in their life completely changed them. They are only gay for each other and both drastically changed how both lived their life because of each another. This is especially through after all the hardship they are going to go through. This is why the song carry a special meaning for both of them.

I have included the song as sang by JingYu(

Chapter 80: YouQi looks for BaiLuoYin

For two days straight, BaiLuoYin have not been to class.

He had BaiHanQi called to school but did not inform anyone else of what had happened.

YouQi does not like talking to GuHai because GuHai always seems to have something against him. But today, he could bear it no longer. Ever since BaiLuoYin stopped attending classes, YouQi could not stop thinking about him, to the point where he couldn’t eat properly nor could he focus on his work. There is no one to have his leftover food nor someone to talk to when he is bored.

“GuHai, where is BaiLuoYin?”

GuHai had his earpiece on and did not reply. He simply stared straight ahead without any regards for YouQi.

[…YouQi and YangMeng went to look for BaiLuoYin at his house. Scene continues when YouQi enters BaiLuoYin’s room.]

YouQi quietly enters BaiLuoYin’s room. Taking a look around, he is shocked at how messy the entire place is. With stuff all over the floor, there is almost no place for anyone to walk or even stand on. In the room there is a bed, a strange double bed with two sides to it: one part spring and one part wooden. BaiLuoYin was sleeping on the wooden half, with some strands of his hair standing straight up as he slept.

YouQi walked towards the table and glanced around quickly, flipping and going through whatever he lays his eyes on nonchalantly. A phone, a lighter and a wrist watch… For someone who have been observing BaiLuoYin and GuHai closely, he could immediately recognised who these items belonged to. When he opened the closet, he noticed the same. GuHai’s collection are deeply intertwined with BaiLuoYin’s, easily showing the close relationship the two of them shared.

By now BaiLuoYin have woken up, raising a lazy gaze towards YouQi.

“… Why are you here?”

YouQi immediately put down his things and smiled, “You have not been to class for two days. I was worried about so I came here to take a look.”

With barely a nod as acknowledgement, BaiLuoYin descended from the bed and put on his clothes.

YouQi could tell that BaiLuoYin feels terrible. If he is not down with some sickness, he must be suffering emotionally. Looking at BaiLuoYin’s dad, the way he continues about his days, it must not be related to him.

Tonight, BaiLuoYin decided to spend the night over at YouQi’s place.

“Have you and GuHai been quarrelling?”

BaiLuoYin’s heart skipped a beat, but his face remains unchanged.

“Why must it be about him?”

“Don’t you think the relationship between the two of you is rather special?”

YouQi have not been the only one to make this observation. Even BaiHanQi have commented something to the like of this to baiLuoYin. But to hear it come from YouQi, the sentence carried a strange intonation. While BaiHanQi recognise that the two of them are merely good brothers in arms, YouQi’s tone seemed to imply something else, something more.

Not used to discussing something this intimate with another person, BaiLuoYin choose to remain quiet.

As the night deepen, YouQi could not wait any longer and decided to go to bed.

Beside him BaiLouYin laid there, softly gazing at the sleeping YouQi, quietly brooding in his mind.

Both are his classmates and both are his friends. But the feelings of being around GuHai and being around YouQi feels so different.

“Yin-Zi…”

BaiLuoYin closed his eyes, the tender voice of GuHai calling after him reverberates in his mind. Only just a few days ago, BaiLuoYin could imagine and remember GuHai always calling him like this, many times a day, with a certain sweetness and tenderness: purposely dragging off the last intonation, the warm words slowly blanketing his body, wrapping him in a soothing warmth, giving him certain sense of comfort and security he never felt before.

Should those words come from any man but GuHai, BaiLuoYin can never imagine talking to them ever again.

[… YouQi and BaiLuoYin becomes closer these few days. Scene continues with GuHai.]

GuHai have not seen BaiLuoYin in school for two days already. A certain weight have descended upon GuHai in this two days. Whenever and wherever he goes, be it walking to school or at his cousin’s house, the weight seemed to follow him around, burdening his every move.

The cab is on route to school, stopping at about 10 miles away from it. Coincidentally, the taxi stopped just outside Aunt’s newly opened food shop. The shop is bristling with activity with customers and waiters bustling about. It has only been two days but GuHai already misses Aunt’s handmade breakfast. Sitting in the car, GuHai could almost imagined the fragrance floating in, beckoning him to a delicious meal awaiting him in the shop.

“We are almost there,” the cab driver called out, reminding GuHai to prepare for the fare.

Just as GuHai was about to reach for his wallet, he noticed two familiar figures in the distance, talking and laughing with each other.

It is BaiLuoYin and YouQi, hand in hand, trailing a bicycle along as they are entering the school together.

A sudden rage rumbles about in his gut. Anger and jealousy boiling within in a torrenting mix. His sight is deathly fixed on BaiLuoYin, at how BaiLuoYin is looking at YouQi, at how BaiLuoYin is chatting with YouQi, at how BaiLuoYin is laughing with YouQi, at how BaiLuoYin…

His hands clenched into fists, barely containing the fury threatening to explode from within him. So… I am the only person feeling terrible, I am the only one who even cared about us. To him I am no different than any other friends that he have, and when I am gone he can simply substitute me for somebody else.

By now the cab have already stopped. As the driver driver turned to collect his fare from GuHai he noticed GuHai barely budging. “What's wrong?”

The cab driver frowned. What happened to this young man? Is he hoping for a free ride?

“Return to where I was. Send me back.”

“What happened?” the driver enquired, “Did you forget something?”

GuHai did not reply. His deathly visage was almost enough to kill someone.

The driver simply turned and resumed driving.

After two days, BaiLuoYin thought that he had cleared his mind enough to face GuHai, but even before entering the classroom he already realised how difficult it is going to be for him.

When he finally entered the class, he noticed that the seat behind him was empty, from the first class to the last.

Even though he knew that the seat behind him was empty BaiLuoYin could not helped himself to react to any tiny movement from behind him, as if his subconscious was wishing for something. His ears would perk up at any sudden shifting of the chairs or the slightest sound of the back door opening. With that, the entire day seemed to drill on very slowly.

If this is how he is like when GuHai is not around, BaiLuoYin did not want to imagine how he would have been if GuHai was around.

He has never felt this before his entire life: a bizarre mix of trepidation, excitement, dread and unease.

“This is GuHai’s workbook and I will leave this with you.”

BaiLuoYin simply nodded and accepted the book. Lazily flipping the pages, he noticed the strokes GuHai used for his writings. Baring tiny differences if he looked carefully, anyone could easily mistake them for BaiLuoYin’s handwriting. He could tell GuHai put in only his utter care and commitment to every stroke of the letter. None of the strokes are cursive and each of them are separate and distinct.

The writing strangely parallel the relationship between the two of them, with each being so closely intertwined to one another, their habits mirroring each other, sometimes it is difficult to tell which part of their life is BaiLuoYin's and which part is GuHai's.

Memories suddenly flooded him. He can clearly remember a familiar scene that happens daily, two of them would approach a random store on the street and order something new. With smiles and laughter they would share the food, GuHai would give what BaiLuoYin liked in his plate and BaiLuoYin would do the same to GuHai and GuHai would always made sure to finish whatever BaiLuoYin did not like. They will always mix up their shoes, their towels, and even put on each others clothe in the morning by mistake every so often. So much so that you can always almost faintly smell the scent of GuHai off BaiLuoYin and BaiLuoYin off GuHai…

BaiLyouYin flipped to the last page and noticed the entire page full of three distinct characters: 白 洛 因.

It is often said that when people are practising handwriting, they would often use the word or character that are always on their mind, kind of like when you are practising singing often times you will hum to the tune of your favourite song.

Looking at the page’s each and every delicately carved wordings, BaiLuoYin did not want to imagine what was on GuHai’s mind when he was practising his handwriting.

After class, DanXiaoSuan approached BaiLuoYin, asking, “Do you know where is GuHai?”

“No idea.”

“How can you not know where he is? Have the two of you made some sort of arrangement, taking turns attending classes?”

“GuHai was here yesterday?” BaiLuoYin’s ear perked.

“He was! These two days that you were not here, he was in class.” BaiLuoYin’s gazed faltered but he remained quiet.

After the next class, the class monitor approached BaiLuoYin.

“This is the quarterly report card for GuHai. How about you take responsibility for him since he is not here today?”

After a brief pause, BaiLuoYin accepted.

After class, representatives after representatives approached BaiLuoYin to do the same.

[… the story breaks into the club scene with GuHai and his two friends as shown in the drama. The story basically remains the same. I will continue the story at the massage parlour, where BaiLuoYin finally meet GuHai for the first time in days.]

The masseur led BaiLuoYin into GuHai's room.

After seven longs days, when BaiLuoYin finally meet GuHai for the first time, he somehow feels a chasm have opened between the two of them.

After a long silence, GuHai finally opened his eyes, his sight slowly focusing on a seemingly familiar face of a stranger. A lump formed in his throat as he struggles to even swallow or breathe. Soothe by psychiatrist treatments, his heart yet again threaten to burst forth from the sudden pain enveloping it.

“What are you here for?” GuHai asked coldly.

BaiLuoYin took a deep breath and took time to steady himself.

“I am here to send you these things.”

GuHai shot a look of disdain at BaiLuoYin, “Did you think I ever needed these rubbish?”

The venom hidden in those words hurts like darts shot in his chest.

Without giving a look, GuHai could smugly imagine the hurt etched on BaiLuoYin’s face, a strange sadistic pain comforts him.

“I do not care if you needed them or not. I am merely fulfilling the task by the teachers to pass these to you. You can throw these away for all I care.”

A fragile silence hangs in the air above.

Turning, BaiLuoYin remarked, “I am done here,” and begins to leave.

The steps BaiLuoYin took on the floor boomed loudly in GuHai’s ear, as if each step BaiLuoYin took is a physical stab to his heart.

As the creaking sound of the opening door filled the room, GuHai suddenly jumped from his bed, “BaiLuoYin!”

BaiLuoYin briefly paused.

“You get back here!”

Without casting even a look, BaiLuoYin continued to pull the door open.

GuHai sprang forth and rushed towards the door, grabbing BaiLuoYin by the shoulders and turned him back almost violently.

The masseur turned to leave immediately.

His voice trembling, GuHai slowly raised his eyes to meet BaiLuoYin’s. “Is this the only way you can treat me?”

BaiLuoYin pulled back from GuHai and cleanly dusted himself before returning the look with a deathly coldness, “How do you want me to treat you?”

The fact that I even came and look for you already betrayed my own principles. I cared about you, cared about how you are going on with your life. But you? Since I arrived you have been cold towards me and now you want to talk about attitude?

“How have I changed since you left?” GuHai asked.

BaiLuoYin gritted his teeth, refusing to answer.

GuHai narrowed his eyes and shouted, “BaiLuoYin! Look at me, tell me how I have changed since you left!”

BaiLuoYin did not relent.

“Just because of who my father is, you are willing to tear us apart? Just because of who my father is, am I no longer someone who cares about you?”

The pain is clear in GuHai’s eyes as he winced from the wrenching his heart just went through. He can no longer control himself as rushed forwards and enveloped BaiLuoYin in a tight hug. He needed this. He needed him. The feelings he suppressed for the entire week bursts forth like an exploding dam as tears streamed down his face.

“BaiLuoYin, since the day my mom passed away, I have never cried for anyone else.” GuHai tightened his embrace.

GuHai’s tremblings voice shook BaiLuoYin briefly, as he clenched his teeth when the memories flooded him.

He could feel the absolute love and care GuHai have for him. Since his birth, he have been tumbling through life with BaiHanQi...

It was GuHai who bought him his first pair of shoes. It was GuHai who always make sure that BaiLuoYin is warm every night before bed by tucking him in. It was GuHai who always make sure to pass all the meat in his ramen to BaiLuoYin whenever they are eating. It is GuHai… GuHai who make him feel an unlimited love and who make every effort to make sure that he is never taken advantage of, not even for a little bit. For this entire week, without GuHai, BaiLuoYin felt as if love itself have departed from the earth, tearing away every warmth and comfort BaiLuoYin ever felt.

The cold frigid air came to a standstill as GuHai slowly stopped sobbing.

“You can go.”

BaiLuoYin did not move as a slight tremble shook his body.

With a strong push, GuHai pushed BaiLuoYin beyond the door into the walkway, “Go!”

As BaiLuoYin winded down the street aimlessly in the cold frigid autumn air, the tune of a familiar song began drifting from a store nearby towards…

[sONG]

如果没有遇见你, 我将会是在哪里。

日子过得怎么样,人生是否要珍惜。

也许认识某一人,过着平凡的日子。

所以我求求你别让我离开你。

除了你我不能感到一丝丝情意。

rú guǒ méi yǒu yù jiàn nǐ wǒ jiāng huì shì zài nǎ lǐ

If I never met you, where would I be?

rì zǐ guò dé zěn me yàng rén shēng shì fǒu yào zhēn xī

How would the days go by? Would I still value life?

yě xǔ rèn shí mǒu yī rén guò zhe píng fán de rì zǐ

Maybe I would have met someone else and led an ordinary life

suǒ yǐ wǒ qiú qiú nǐ bié ràng wǒ lí kāi nǐ

So I beg you, don' t let me go

chú le nǐ wǒ bú néng gǎn dào yī sī sī qíng yì

Without you, I cannot feel even the slightest sense of love

BaiLuoYin’s vision began to strangely blur as a lump began to forming in his throat. He could feel a foreign wetness slowly streaming down his face uncontrollably. He remember that night when GuHai sang this song to him. He remembered the teasing and ridicule he had for GuHai then. At this moment in time, he suddenly have the urge for GuHai to sing this song for him… At least for one last time…

--- ----

I have included the song as sang by JingYu(

). I highly recommend you open the song and play as you read through that part(I included a sign where). If you want you can also play the original song by Teresa Teng here(highly recommended to experience what BLY experienced):

GuHai’s tremblings voice shook BaiLuoYin briefly, as he clenched his teeth when the memories flooded him.

Thank you for the translation.

Johnny and Zhouzhou did an amazing job at portraying these characters. Hat off to them. I knew nothing about the novel but still could understand and feel all the emotions depicted in these parts.

I think they also did a really good job on this in the drama because to me it was already clear why Luo Yin was rejecting Gu Hai at that time. And you also could see the conflicting feeling and the pain they were going through. Obviously, in the novel it is more detailed but I felt like the drama script and their acting were well done enough to make us understand what the characters were feeling.

Quick visit to yaoiotaku between my trips;

- Is there any news on why Johnny changed his manager (was it Johnny's decision etc)?

- Any news on Johnny's plan? He has finished filming Demon Girl for now, right?

Regarding Johnny's new manager/team... I rather not to comment anything now, or else, it will causing more and more drama later. :Red_fox6:

The filming of Demon Girl is not finished yet.

Even now, I'm emotional overload. I just want Johnny to get an efficient manager to mange his time properly without letting him sick (I mean both physically and mentally). Make a time frame to rest him well and arrange a secret vacation for him. To a place where whale can wander around without crowd, where he can drink beside road while watching the scenery peacefully. Where he can watch the sea or the mountains without anxiety. He can take the pictures of fallen leaves, the trees, the nature...

I keep listening to his song and my heart is broken into pieces. His voice is like squeezing my heart tight and I couldn't breathe. Sadness is filled in my heart and too much choking.

.... your translations are impeccable! So full of emotions! I read it with teary eyes :p Thank you very much. It just goes to show how well has the novel been written and how much heart and soul CJD has put into it! And now after watching the webseries, while i was reading thru your translations, i could clearly see all these emotions being enacted by Johnny and XWZ in my mind. Its a wonderful combination of amazing writing and unparalleled acting. Respect for the writer and the actors !! I fall more and more in love with them as each day passes.

Thanks~!

:In love:

I am glad that you enjoyed it. I am just happy to share whatever feelings that CJD made me feel. I am sad that I couldn't do the whole book so that you can cry and laugh as we enjoy BLY and GH's relationship together.

Anyways the following is the last and final part of the seperation incident. Although the novel did not show what happened after GH confessed to BLY like the drama, I have included a scene further in the book not covered by the drama to show the changing dynamics between the two of them after such an explosive confession.

The story picks up where part 2 left off immediately.

Without further ado, enjoy:

When BaiLuoYin finally returned home, GrandmaBai and GrandpaBai already retreated back into their room.

BaiHanQi was seating in BaiLuoYin’s room, staring into space, silently prodding about something. When the sound of the door opening reached him, he stood up to approach BaiLuoYin.

“What took you so long to return home? Where have you been?”

BaiLuoYin could only dryly reply, “I went and send something for a friend.”

Just as BaiHanQi was about to leave the room, he paused and looked at BaiLuoYin. He had something to say but the words didn’t seemed able to roll of his tongue at all.

Finally, “Yin-Zi”...

“Yes?”

[… the story continues as BaiLuoYin told what happened to GuHai to BaiHanQi. BaiLuoYin was shocked that BaiHanQi could accept GuHai for who he is. Satisfied, BaiLuoYin prepared to find GuHai tomorrow and explain everything to him. The entire thing was depicted as it is in the drama. The story continues when BaiLuoYin is kidnapped by GuHai.]

BaiLuoYin felt himself set carried by another man on his shoulders. Even though he is tied and blindfolded, the figure feels unusually familiar to him: that soothing scent and broad shoulders…

He hears a door open and he is softly laid on a bed. The man gently loosened the ropes tying him down but did not uncover his blindfold neither did he remove the cuffs locking his hands together. Instead he used another cuff and cuffed both his hands to the bed.

He tried to struggle to free himself and his blindfold but is held firmly in place by a pair of strong hands. The hands were firm and gentle towards him.

The contact feels all to familiar to him.

His heart skipped a beat, refusing to accept that he is a person capable of such things.

Finally his blindfold is removed. Bright lights flooded into his eyes and threatened to blind him. GuHai’s familiar face slow fades into his dizzying view. The first thing BaiLouYin could focus on was GuHai’s large clear eyes staring back at him. The eyes held a torrent of emotion almost visible to him: a strong sense of accomplishment and excitement yet a tinge of sadness seemed to cloud the otherwise beautiful eyes…

All of BaiLuoYin’s hope slowly fade away. He did not want to believe what his eyes are telling him but now he couldn’t. He narrowed his eyes and almost spit the words out like venom, “What do you want?”

“You are asking me what I want?” GuHai smirked. GuHai reached his hands forward and using the back of the palm tenderly stroked BaiLuoYin’s face. While BaiLuoYin is used to contact with GuHai, he could feel that today somehow something is different. He hands lacked their usual warmth and love, with something more menacing and sinister replacing them.

“Didn’t you say that you were leaving me? Didn’t you want to break us apart? DIdn’t you say that there is no regret among us? Fine! I shall forever keep you here, and I will never let you leave! Since you are so merciless as to tear us apart then I shall be cruel to keep us forever together!”

The anger rumbling within BaiLuoYin almost asphyxiated him to death. He could barely breathe! He didn’t want to say a single thing, realising that he had made a mistake yesterday night to accept GuHai.

“Why are you not saying anything?” GuHai asked.

BaiLuoYin simply closed his eyes in reply, refusing to even give GuHai the satisfaction of a look.

You don’t even want to look at me? Fine, I have a way to make you open your eyes!

Grabbing BaiLuoYin by his chin, without any warning, he slammed his lips onto BaiLuoYin’s.

BaiLuoYin froze and opened his eyes in utter shock and horror.

But GuHai’s eyes were still closed, deeply in concentration, trying to etch every single curve of the lips and the taste of the mouth forever into his memory.

BaiLuoYin could feel GuHai’s other hand slowly descending from his chest, towards his waist, stopping there, slowly circling and teasing.

Chapter 84: A crazy confession!

“You…”

BaiLuoYin barely managed to croak out a sound from his throat. But the sounds was quickly swallowed by GuHai’s hungry mouth desperate for more of BaiLuoYin, hungry for that drug that fuels him. GuHai’s tongue moved pass BaiLuoYin lips, towards BaiLuoYin’s mouth. A sweet wetness electrified his entire body. He have never felt more alive, BaiLuoYin’s every breath and move sent his body towards a new high, fuelling the shimmering ember in his chest into a roaring fire.

More, more, I need more!

To prevent BaiLuoYin from biting down on him, he moved his hands to clasps both of BaiLuoYin’s cheeks before forcefully entering BaiLuoYin’s mouth. The moment the tip of tongue touched BaiLuoYin’s, an electric current rocked his entire body from his tongue to the tip of his groin. His tongue chased as BaiLuoYin’s flee, sucking and pushing with enormous intensity. This was sweeter than he could ever imagine. He could barely contain his excitement. All the wanted to do now is to swallow BaiLuoYin whole, making BaiLuoYin his and his only.

This kiss is different from the one GuHai had with girls before. There is no foreplay this time round and there is much less tenderness. In its place, a ferocious intensity and hunger, wild in its need and obvious in its want. Both are panting by the end of it, their heart racing from the sheer excitement of it all.

As GuHai leaves BaiLuoYin’s lips, his hands remained clasped on both his cheeks. He gently petted him and pulled a few wild strand of hair back toward his head, revealing BaiLuoYin’s handsome visage. It is this face, with its mesmerising eyes that sucked GuHai into an endless spiral of desire and wants, tearing away from him all self control and discipline.

“Baby…” GuHai looked tenderly at BaiLuoYin with a certain serenity, “You have long known that my feelings for you is special isn’t it? Me kissing you, doesn’t come as a surprise to you right?”

The colours and passion lingering on BaiLuoYin is slowly drained away by GuHai’s words.

“GuHai! You…”

“Don’t just scold me yet!” GuHai moved to cover BaiLuoYin’s lips, “Listen to me first. After listening to me, you can call me whatever you want. Although I don’t think you have any regards for me already. After today, it is best that you hate me, hate that I forced myself onto you. Listen closely BaiLuoYin, I, GuHai, never treated you as a brother. I cared for you because I like you, I sleep with you because I want to make love to you. Every night I think of doing that to you, even my deepest dreams, to imagine you moaning, groaning under me…”

BaiLuoYin, “…”

“You must be thinking I must some kind of deviant right? Some sort of sexually deprived pervert. Let me tell you this. I don’t cast a single look at anyone else ever since I know you, be they girl or boy. This is all your fault! How are you always so mesmerising? How are you always so sluty? How is it that your every smile sends my heart fluttering. BaiLuoYin, stop acting innocent. You must have known how alluring you are and you purposely came to seduce me!”

“BaiLuoYin, let me tell you that I have no regrets for all the words that I have said to you today. Didn’t you want to tell scold me? Scold me then! The sound of your voice excites me. The more you scold me the more I want to make sweet love to you. You must have known how sexy you look when you are angry, when you are excited. Were I not a decent man, I would have tore open your trousers by now. Scold me! Scold me now!”

BaiLuoYin mulled over what GuHai have said and thought that the heavens must be playing a cruel joke on him.

He held his breath. After all these insults, I actually held my breath!

“I will not scold you,” BaiLuoYin replied softly and coldly.

Observing BaiLuoYin intently, a slow smile stretched across GuHai’s face.

“Have you lost hope? Do you now regret knowing me? Wouldn’t you rather that I disappear from the face of this earth right now? Tell you what, I will not! You have trapped me in this bottomless pit and now you want to run away, not in my lifetime!”

Somehow managing to grab a small piece of wood in his hand, BaiLuoYin threw it at GuHai’s face.

“GuHai, for the words you said today, you will pay a price.”

“I don’t care!” GuHai’s eyes betrays a certain sense of anger and resolution, “If I can see you everyday, I am willing to bear any price!”

“Very well, listen closely. This morning I had intended to come and apologise to you in the afternoon. I had a talk with my Dad yesterday and he told me that he accepts you for who you are. He convinced me to bring you home and I accepted it. But I was kidnapped early in the morning and trapped here to listen to the ramblings of a madman, what am I suppose to do now?”

GuHai, “…”

“Release me!” BaiLuoYin could barely contain his anger.

It was GuHai who is wretched by uncertainty this time.

“You… what you said is true?” a mix of excitement and worried carried in his voice.

“OF COURSE! !”

GuHai face is filled with sudden trepidation, “What if you are lying to me, then wouldn’t I be tricked again?”

With heavy hands, GuHai picked up his phone and began dialling BaiHanQi’s number.

“Uncle…”

“Da-Hai, why have not been visiting us? I have been missing you, and even GrandmaBai couldn’t stop talking about you."

“Uncle, did Yin-Zi tell you everything?” GuHai asked as he shifted his eyes to BaiLuoYin.

“Yes, he did. Da-Hai, Yin-Zi is still young and immature, I have sent him to look for you, will you be back soon?”

“Yes…” GuHai’s voice briefly trembled, “He may be here soon. Let my check… Well… Uncle, let me call you back again, soon…”

The air in the room seemed to changed in its texture.

BaiLuoYin faced remained stoic, shooting a cold glare towards GuHai.

“Release me!”

GuHai bit his lips as he approached BaiLuoYin, but tenderness returned to his voice as he asked, “What if you run away when I release you?”

“Don’t worry, I definitely will not run away!”

GuHai released the bindings on BaiLuoYin’s feet and undone the cuffs on his hands.

Upon release, BaiLuoYin sprang up like a ferocious beast, laying punches after punches and kicks after kicks at GuHai. It was only when he ran out of breath that he slowed down his onslaught and finally stopped.

“Baby please don’t be mad.”

“Tell me, who are you going to fuck?”

GuHai raised his head shyly, a devilish smirk crossed his face, “A husband who is not fucking his wife is not a good husband.”

“You son of a…” BaiLuoYin raised his fists and chased GuHai all over the house.

Expending all his energy, BaiLuoYin slumped at the edge of the bed. After catching his breath, he rises and begins to leave.

GuHai immediately sprang forth with sudden energy and blocked him, “Where are you going?”

“What do you care,” as BaiLuoYin shot him a quick glare.

“Wait.” A serious tone suddenly overcomes GuHai, “We have not made things clear yet, how can you leave just like that?”

“What is to be said between us?”

BaiLuoYin felt as if billion of brain cells just died from the boiling anger just moments ago.

“I just confessed to you, shouldn't you have some sort of reply?”

“What do you want me to reply?” irritation still floods BaiLuoYin’s every word, “You should be glad that I did not kill you in anger just now.”

“What kind of reply?” GuHai slammed BaiLuoYin between both his hands as he backed against the wall. Sultry and excitement filled GuHai’s voice, “I said I like you, shouldn't you reply to that?”

BaiLuoYin’s face burned deep red in embarrassment.

“GuHai, can you stop sprouting nonsense?”

“Who is sprouting nonsense?” GuHai stood upright with conviction and dusted his shirt cleanly, with tenderness in his voice, “What I have just said comes from the bottom of my heart.”

A long silence hanged in the air as BaiLuoYin seemed to be contemplating something. After some time, BaiLuoYin managed to blurt out, “But we are both men.”

“So what if we are both men?” GuHai remained resolute, conviction fuelled his every word, “Didn’t you see that day while we were walking home, a dog and a cat were tenderly loving each other!”

“How is this relevant?” BaiLuoYin almost want to hit himself on the wall in desperation.

GuHai refused to give in, “No matter if you are a man or a woman, a male dog or female cat, tell me straight, do you like me or not?

BaiLuoYin swallowed hard, just managing to croak out a weak, “No”

GuHai froze.

BaiLuoYin pushed away GuHai, “Move aside, I am going home!”

But GuHai wouldn’t budge.

BaiLuoYin frowned in irritation, “Now what do you want?”

“Don’t like me do you? Fine! I will trap you here forever and release you only after you like me!”

“GuHai ! ! !”

Without hesitation, GuHai moved forward, pressing his strong body towards BaiLuoYin, capturing him in a tight embrace. He slammed his lips forward, ignoring the frantic struggles on BaiLuoYin. When BaiLuoYin wouldn’t relent, he tighten his hug, almost pressing his entire chest onto him. Unbridled passion slammed onto BaiLuoYin’s lips, sucking him in again and again. Tasting BaiLuoYin, the fire burning in his pit threatened to burst forth again, this time stirring the member in his groin. GuHai’s heart is booming in his chest, as if bursting forth in any moment from the frantic beating.

Pulling apart, “Yin-Zi!” soft voice carrying tenderness and compromise filled the space between them, “I can tell you that I really like you from the bottom of my heart. I know that you can fill it. You can insult me all you but you must believe me when I say this. I will not force you into an answer right now. I just want to know, what am I to you in your heart. I can wait for you. I will pursue you. I will crush you with the full force of my love, I do not believe that I cannot move you!”

“…..”

Chapter 85: Call me your brother!

“We should have this reunion dinner long ago,” mused JiangYuan…

[… the story continued abruptly between the above scene and the dinner scene just like in the drama. What I will do is to skip ahead to the first alone time between BaiLuoYin and GuHai after the confession so you can kinda understand how the dynamics between the two of them have changed. The story continues below…]

By the time they left the house, it was already late at night.

“I did not eat to my full,” GuHai mused as he rubbed his belly in sadness.

“In that kind of place, it is hard to be full of anything,” BaiLuoYin could only dryly reply in agreement.

“Let us buy some food and we can bring it home for supper,” GuHai suggested slyly.

“Home where?” BaiLuoYin warily replied, careful of every word and movement from GuHai.

“My place there!” GuHai beamed in excitement.

“Then I am not hungry anymore.” BaiLuoYin curtly replied and fasten his pace forward immediately.

GuHai frowned, “If you are unwilling to go to my place we can always go to your place.” In the spirit of compromise, GuHai is willing to take a step back for BaiLuoYin if he did the same.

Heaven knows BaiLuoYin wouldn’t fall for that trick.

“You can forget about coming to my place.”

“Why not?” GuHai immediately rushed forward to catch up with BaiLuoYin, his voice carrying a playful tone. “Uncle called me just now and invited me over!”

“My Dad is only being polite, no need to take his word for it.” BaiLuoYin cleanly brushed aside GuHai and carried on forward.

GuHai kept pace, “I know Uncle, he means what he says.”

BaiLuoYin suddenly slowed his steps, as if mulling over something, “Do you really want to come over?”

“Of course.”

A brief pause, “Alright, call me Big Brother and I shall let you shall stay overnight this once.”

GuHai, “…”

The edge of BaiLuoYin’s lips curved in a smirk, as he extended his hands to hail a cab.

“Stop it!” GuHai quickly pushed BaiLuoYin’s arms back down. “Must you be like this?”

BaiLuoYin almost could not hide the glee on his face.

After some thoughts, GuHai finally replied, his sight set firmly on BaiLuoYin, “Why not this, I will call you Big Brother TWICE…”

“?” Suspicion crossed over BaiLuoYin's handsone visage.

GuHai sprang over, his mouth almost drooling, hugging BaiLuoYin tightly, “Then let us sleep together in your room!”

“Not in a thousand years!”

The glee refused to leave GuHai, he is satisfied with the slight contact with BaiLuoYin he just had. He continued on following BaiLuoYin, ravaging at the sight in front of him. He have never looked at another man’s bottom in his entire life but there is nothing more alluring right now that that of BaiLuoYin’s in front of him, a slight sway to the left and a slight sway to the right. The jeans hide a powerful set of muscle and a long pair of legs, a firm pairs of bot… GuHai could barely hide his lust as drool pooled from his lips.

Heaving from his excitement, GuHai suddenly realised the extremity of his reaction at just the merely sight of a clothed BaiLuoYin. Isn’t this like some sort of drugs?

The road home is long and windy.

On the way home, typically the two would engage in endless chatter. But today, nobody opened their mouths. From one side, devilish intentions clouded whatever he wanted to say. From the other, wariness and suspicion stopped whatever he wanted to say. Like an opaque window. You can lie to yourself all you want but once the window is cracked and the light of the day shone through, all your intentions becomes clear to the others.

The winds suddenly picked up, dusting up the autumn leaves and debris about. When it finally settled, a single leaf landed on GuHai’s shoulder.

After a brief glance at GuHai, BaiLuoYin noticed that leaf and raised his hand. In a simple stroke, he dusted off the leaf from GuHai shoulders.

GuHai gently smiled at BaiLuoYin, deeply touched. In the cold autumn winds, under the soft streetlight in the dark of the evening night, such actions carried special meanings within them. In the innocence of a teenage love, without burden and without lust, whatever remains is just sweet tender love.

When they finally reached GuHai’s home, GuHai changed into his former luxurious wear, carrying with him an intoxicating allure in his handsome frame.

Casting his eyes on GuHai, BaiLuoYin felt a certain sense of shame. Such beauty is ruined by my poverty.

“GuHai, can we just retuned to how we were before?” BaiLuoYin couldn’t help himself in asking.

GuHai raised his head in question, “What do you mean?”

“I feel that we have strayed from where we are suppose to be going, do you think we can return onto the right path?”

“Stop it!” GuHai replied without hesitation. “The path we have chosen to take is not only astray but also filled with traps, sudden bends of extreme turns and holes everywhere. The only things left for us to do is to hold on to each other and run as fast as we can together. Should we stop, we will definitely fall.”

“You are sickening.”

GuHai boomed in laughter as he followed BaiLuoYin back to his home.

“Da-Hai! Uncles missed you so much.” BaiHanQi rushed forward gave GuHai a warm hug as soon as he saw him.

“I missed you too.” GuHai almost couldn’t help himself from adding a “Dad”.

Seeing these two men, BaiLuoYin ignored them and moved to GrandmaBai’s room. After sometime, GuHai followed BaiHanQi into the kitchen.

“Uncle, is there anything for us to eat?”

Hearing GuHai, BaiHanQi took a peek at the rice cooker and notice two bowls of rice left and some leftover from dinner in the fridge. “There are some leftover, left me just warm these for you.”

When it finally came to time for bed, GuHai found himself to be locked outside of the room.

“Why can’t I sleep with you? Didn’t we used to sleep together warmly in the past?”

BaiLuoYin remained firm, “That was in the past, now is the present. I used to tolerate you and I no longer do.”

The skin on GuHai’s face is seemingly made of steel and he did not take the words to heart. In a teasing voice he pointed to BaiLuoYin’s groin, “Are you afraid that you can’t control yourself?”

BaiLuoYin delivered a powerful kick to GuHai, sending him out of the room. Slamming the door shut BaiLuoYin mused in irritation, having eaten a bowl of beef thighs and beef tails, and you are the one to suspect me? (referring to GuHai after having relations with girls and now being interested in BaiLuoYin)

I think Johnny's new manager is that purple hair girl.

Ah, I read on IG that Johnny has sprained his hand, not sure it's a true news or not, because there's this pic of him while he's going to hospital.

Yes, seems like she's Johnny's new manager and an experienced one at that. So we can only hope she'll manage his schedule better...

I also saw a pic of him going to hospital but I read it was foot sprain. Well no one was really sure anyway.

And yes, I noticed they're swapped. I was actually wondering who's the one who was the first to sign.... lol

Thank you very much!! Your translation is fab, and I am always happy to read new bits and pieces form the novel.

So actually the next time they will sleep together is around the hepatitis B scene, when BLY doesn't want to go home and GH takes him to his house?

Thanks~!

Just as I thought, this guy is just the "I don't care about all those rumors and shit" type. And he's totally right. Because scandals are bound to happen when you become famous anyway.

And good to see he's keeping his feet on the ground. He's really the pragmatic type.

: thank you!

On Zhouzhou's interview: hmm interesting, he is as nervous as Johnny with this sudden fame but his personality allows him to handle this better, I guess? Hoping that he stays humble and honest till the end.
