More or less are the same like us.

Feeling upset, helpless, hopeless, depressed, angry towards SARFT, crying whole night, having insomnia, can't concentrate on their works today, worrying for JY and ZZ's future, voicing that they will keep supporting them, comforting each other to move on, their managers and fans are also saying thank you to each other for going through all of this together, and Lou Qing(Jin LuLu) has posted some old pics with the cast and saying that hoping she will still remember all these Addicted's moments when she is old and the spirit of Addicted would not disappeared, though everyone will having their own different life in the future.

When I read this sentence I suddenly remembered the MV I made a few days ago. It's like I've foreseen what happened yesterday (to some extent) :

"They had to keep their distance with each other and couldn't show what they were feeling, they had to go their separate ways and now they're left with only memories of good times" (it's not exactly what I wrote before but it's definitely what I was trying to express).

To be honest I have no idea as to the source. I found this on a Chinese forum this afternoon. You can follow the bottom right to the original Weibo post. I only repost whatever I found interesting. XD

 

As to the authenticity, the readers must be the judge. As for me, I absolutely believe them. JingYu's motto always has been freedom and no regrets. So I don't think he ever regretted doing Addicted. As for ZhouZhou, from what I can tell, he really liked JingYu. There are posts flying around where ZhouZhou's new song contained a lyrics from JingYu's instagram post: "The only thing I value in my life is freedom." You be the judge...

You all have already expressed your opinion so beautifully and so in detail that I'm not sure if there's even anything left that I could write here without repeating anyone's words. Nonetheless, I'm still going to write how I feel about this news since I believe that by writing how I'm feeling, it could help me to feel better.

 

 

The moment I heard the news, I actually just felt numb. I'd like to believe that I'm a pretty rational person and I knew in the back of my mind that season 2 is not going to happen. I didn't know why the moment I heard that it's officially confirmed, this news that I knew in the back of my mind way way before, could affect me so. What I could think and the only thing that has been on my mind after hearing this news is just one thing. It's over.

 

This news somehow marked the end of something and it's not only the end of Addicted. Probably because this news was released after that semi banned fanmeeting, I felt the force of the horrendous power that's trying to ruin them much more strongly than before.

 

They lost. They lost the battle against this force that wants to separate them. They can't be together anymore. I know that in real life, they're probably still in contact with each other but their interaction was very very restricted. They can't be seen together. They have to interact with each other secretly or there will be some consequences coming for them. It's over not only for Addicted but also for their freedom.

 

Johnny and ZZ have a very strong and special bond. This I have no doubt. To see this bond being cut forcefully hurt me so. They were in this together. They're the only one who could know to what extent the other person goes through. They're in a journey together from unknown kids to popular newcomers. They won their first award together. They created a bond so strong and so beautiful. A bond so beautiful that it attracts millions of people. Why are there people who want cut that bond? How could you have the heart to cut something so beautiful?

 

THIS is the reason why the news affect me so.

 

It's the thought that I could never see Johnny and Zhouzhou again... in the reel and real life. That I would never see them together again. A restricted interaction. A relationship without freedom. My heart bleeds seeing them longing for each other yet didn't dare to go near to each other even if they just stood a few feet away from each other.

 

How tragic. How sad. How could people be so cruel? How could you possibly want to ruin that beautiful sparks that they have together?

 

 

I'm sorry for my long and depressive post. I thought that I was over this but apparently I still need more time to digest this news. Often I caught myself thinking, I can't wait to see them together again until it finally dawns on me that.. I wouldn't be able to see them together again.

It was as pretty hard day yesterday.. all those emotions and the sudden farewell was heart wrenching. It was at one point after watching the 'walk slowly' MV the pain was almost excruciating. But it is the veracity of life all good things come to an end. It is only these endings that mark the new beginnings. Our boys may be facing too much opposition from the SARFT and Chinese government but I know they will make it through. They have our best wishes. I want to see them very successful in the coming years. May JY get very good movies and drama series, May ZZ get many more new album offers and especially his favourite rock ones. May both of them get to work under huge production houses and we can see them on the big screen. I wish them to be happy and healthy.

 

I had always known very few Chinese things- Chinese food, Chinese kung fu and Jacky Chan.. never in my wildest dreams I had ever imagined myself fangirling so hard for any one that too Chinese when I know not an ounce of mandarin. Well I will always love and support my boys and I believe everyone here will until the day we are alive..

 

People don't get disheartened and sad, it is indeed new beginning for both ZZ and JY and for all of us too..

Time never stops, the boys will get busy with their work as of today and so should we..

 

It hurts but it is always wise to move on and remember and cherish what we had for all our life..

Look at this picture. This is an app tracking Weibo movement of celebrities. ZhouZhou liked a post regarding about him arriving at the airport. But look at who he chose to like! This was taken AFTER the Thailand fanmeeting. There was NO media camera rolling and those who stayed behind are only fans who wished to take pictures with them.

 

And they are NOT even allowed to APPEAR IN THE SAME PHOTO!!!!

Yes. Based on what we all saw at the fanmeeting in Thailand, they aren't even allowed to stand together before a single camera. This means any interviews, fanmeetings, concerts, etc. Of course there were a few exceptions but since they already banned this drama, they want to put everything RELATED to Addicted, any kind of promotion of this series is discouraged and on the blacklist. The FM was supposedly about Addicted, but you know how Netizens are... They have the power to spread the words. They also will keep posting pictures, GIFS, videos, etc. etc. of this couple and Addicted if they keep appearing together. And they, the bastards, want to completely extinguish out the fire, the passion, the flame of two men who genuinely have a special bond, stronger and deeper than between comrades- may it be like lovers or brothers. And I think it scares them. So they want to put every nail and final nail to the coffin.

 

To keep two friends from being friends- or lovers from being lovers- impossible! They can call, chat, etc. with each other. They can still spend time together but not in front of fans or audience. Because that'd tarnish their propaganda game, dear. Fans (especially couple/ship fans) would just go wild again. And they just don't want to deal with that kind of 'shit.' Showing who's the boss.

 

But we, Addicted Anonymous, will never forget how horribly we were treated. We were ready to accept the fact that Season 2 will not happen, but NOT the fact that we won't be able to see them standing together on stage, (and seeing them being torn apart from every angle); that alone is just unforgivable. We will not tolerate that treatment. Though, we can't do anything much about it but our fighting spirit will live on.

Calm down, honey. It wasn't like the OP didn't believe it, more like having a hard time believing such thing, which is understandable. It's still hard for me to believe it. Because it was just too backward, considering modern times. I think some of us even need more time to absorb this tragedy, or the reality of graveness in China. We certainly underestimated their powers and overestimated ourselves... now it's entirely up to their people to make a move.
