When morning finally came, Kaisui had his energy back again and he got up and swam around for a while before looking for breakfast. Theo entered the room with a plate of mackerel and locked the door behind him. "Good morning," he greeted cheerfully, not caring if the creature was awake or not. Having placed the plate right in front of himself, he stared at the creature with a dark smile.

 

"Here, for you. Come on out and dry off," Theo commanded with his menacing grin, resting his chin on a hand. He did not tell the other to turn human, expecting him to know what he meant. "We're going to play after you eat," he added, hoping the merman will obey. If he did not, he will make sure the creature submits. Certain that Kaisui could walk to him by himself, he waited patiently for a response from the merman and wondered whether he will be obedient or not.

Kaisui saw the mackerel and was looking to have it but as soon as Theo told him to come out and dry off, the mermaid refused and laid down on the bottom of the tank as far from Theo as he could manage. Kaisui was determined to avoid the human's games no matter what. He made his defiance perfectly clear as he laid there watching the human from a distance.

He got back up and placed the plate with the bones back at the shelf, reminding himself that he should put it away after this and also with the plate that was carrying the mackerel.

 

Seeing Kaisui's expression, Theo gave out a sigh as if he was giving up. "Why do you hate turning into a human that much?" he asked, hoping for an answer other than the obvious one. He did not see any inconvenience for the creature to turn into a human except that walking was hard for him and also how Theo liked paying with him in his human form. Grabbing the plate with the mackerel, he walked up the steps. He held it with only one of his hands, stretching it away so it would be out of the creature's reach and he would quickly get away. "At least let me give it to you properly. Just dumping it seems rude," he lied, making an excuse of his current behaviour. He was planning something else and was trying to lure the merman in so he would be able to catch him when he gets close.

Kaisui didn't want to respond at first but he finally spoke up. "I don't like walking or being touched the way you touch me. Breathing like a human is annoying and I like swimming the most." It was the only reasons for hating human form. The mermaid continued to watch Theo's every move until he climbed up the stairs and said he wanted to hand it to the fish. He was trusting by nature but this human had exploited that trust. Could he go up there? Kaisui thought for a long while before finally swimming up. He stuck only his hand out of the water and held his palm up for the fish to be placed on top. Kaisui was very cautious and had his tail angled to shove him deeper in the water if Theo tried anything.

Theo did not like how the merman only stuck his hand out, not completely to be exact. The creature was closing in but he knew he still had his guard up and it was risky to act now. There was a chance that he might fall into the water if the other were to struggle, which was not impossible. Just like how like how low the pool was for Kaisui to climb out, it was also dangerously low that someone could fall in if they were not careful on the steps. The top edge was at equal height of his waist as he stood on top of the steps. "When I meant properly, I want eye contact and all that. I also want to hear your voice well when you say 'Thank you'. Is that too much to ask?" he spoke, trying to convince the merman to come even closer. He grabbed the hand gently, giving it a tight squeeze. "This just won't cut it." Quickly letting his hand go, he did not want the creature to pull him, whether it was on purpose or not. "I hoped you didn't dislike that."

The mermaid stared cautiously for a while until his hand was squeezed. He got really nervous and pulled away, thankfully being let go so his hand slipped out of Theo's and back under the water. When it seemed the human wasn't planning something he mover so his head was out of the water as well and he stuck up his hand again. He did as he was told making eye contact and now his head was out of the water. Kaisui wasn't quite on guard anymore and his tail was a bit lower. He could still use his tail to try and get away but at least it would have a slightly more delayed reaction. "Thank you for the fish." He said waiting for it to be placed in his webbed hand.

Theo placed the plate on the second step from the top, taking the mackerel away. When it seemed that he was about to put the fish on the creature's hand, he dropped it too close and it fell into pool instead. Now with both of his hands free, he was quick to grab each of Kaisui's hand and pulled him closer. Once the bottom half of the merman was reachable, he replaced one of his hand on the hip and scooped the creature out of the tank as his sleeves got wet in the process. He dropped him out of the steps and jumped out as well. He cornered the merman by placing a hand on the walls of the pool to block his escape while his other side was blocked by the steps. "That was hard. I was going to let you eat first but, oh well," he smirked, inching his face close to the creature as he was kneeling in front of him.

As the fish fell, Kaisui drew his second hand up but was grabbed. The mermaid snapped his jaws and just barely missed the fish as it fell into the pool away from him. His tail came up fast only able to send a huge wave up and hitting theo, soaking him before the mermaid fell from the tank and hit the ground and was pinned back. Kaisui looked horrified. "I did everything you wanted!! Why would you do this to me?!" He suddenly started coughing having forgotten to close his gills and use his lungs. "But you were being too difficult," Theo explained, patting the creature's head. He dragged the merman closer to the shelf so he was able to take the pair of cuffs as well as a towel. He secured Kaisui's wrist then immediately dry him up, letting him turn human. Once the merman had legs, he forced him to walk by pulling the chain to the direction of the bathroom.

 

Theo bind the cuffs to the pipe that was connected under the sink, his hands over his head. He left the room and returned with a long metal rod and ropes, tying Kaisui's leg apart. He then washed his hands, with the intention of making them wet. "I don't think I'm letting you return to the pool today," he whispered into the other's ear as he started to insert a finger inside the creature's bottom entrance.

He would take deep breathes and open his gills to try and commit suicide but he quickly had to close them when the towel came over his neck and they sealed up.
