"Please...." Yuu was begging more then he ever had. "Please get some rest..." Yuu lifted his right hand and dropped it again like a dead weight. He was trying to protest Kai but it actually looked kind of sad. He closed his eyes for a bit just trying to stop himself from forcing himself up. Yuu gave up and took notice of three young teen's lurking just outside the door. There were two girls and a boy and it was clear they were still in training to be a part of the military. The three kept looking over at Yuu and Kai but they wouldn't enter the room.

Kai leaned forward, touching foreheads with Yuu. A small smile on his lips. "It's okay Yuu, really. I've got some rest last night." Kai wasn't lying, he had closed his eyes. Even tough his mind remained awake the whole night, Kai would be able to function enough with the rest he got. When he pulled away from Yuu he followed the direction he was staring off into. He saw three younger teens standing by the doorway. He turned back to Yuu. "Do you know them? They're staring holes right into us."

"I don't know... they don't look that familiar..." He looked down but then back at the teen's. He probably knew them but his memory wasn't helping at all. The small group wandered and kept looking before a general walked by and the three hurried away. The general walked in and gave a cold glare at Yuu as he walked by and headed to the other side of the room to check on the other men that were still there. Yuu honestly wished he could do something to remember these people but there was no point.

Kai listened to Yuu before turning and facing the teens again. They almost seemed like children, with how curious they were. Sudden.y they stated to scurry off, clearly something, or someone, had made them leave. Just then a general came in, instantly glaring at Yuu. Kai raised an eyebrow, that was another person he'd have to watch out for. He turned back to Yuu, who was clearly harboring some sort of feelings. Kai spoke back to him in a quiet voice. "Yuu, how are you going to remover your past and give these guys that information?" Kai was curious. How long would they have to stay in here? Would they even let the, out once Yuu told them everything?

"I'm not even sure yet. I don't even know what I don't remember so I don't even know what they're hoping to get out of me. If you don't want to be here that long I might know a way to speed up my memory." He didn't bother telling Kai what that method was specifically so Kai wouldn't refuse and try to stop him. Yuu just looked towards the doors again hoping someone walking by would refresh his memory or something. "I have to get up and do things.... I can't be here just hoping for the best. I don't want to make you stay here."

Kai was curious about what Yuu was thinking. He wanted to ask what the method for remembering was, but he decided not too. Thinking that the only reason Yuu hadn't told him was because he didn't want Kai to know. Which meant it was something Kai would most likely end up protesting against. Then Yuu metro editor about getting up and walking around, doing things. Kai sighed and scratched the back of his head. "You realize the only way that is going to happen is once your completely healed." He fell silent for a moment, then a brow raised. He thought of something that might be able to help, if it was allowed. "Yuu, does the doc let his patients roam around if they are mobile?"

"It depends mostly on the person and their limits but for the most part he's pretty cool about patients roaming... though he does want them to stay in F sector or with a nurse or something. Why?" It was amazing that his memory allowed him to remember so much about the medic who he did see quite a lot but still, and he remembered the admiral but most people were kind of fuzzy. Yuu wondered what Kai was thinking. Yuu wasn't even in the right condition to just go on crutches so how was Kai going to convince the doctor that Yuu was mobile enough to roam around F sector.

Kai looked around the room, not finding what he was looking for. When he turned back to Yuu i was when he just finished telling Kai about staying in the F sector. "So, if we can fins you a wheelchair or something....then maybe you can figure out some more of your memory?" He watched Kai from where he sat. "That is, if your memories will come back by you just staying where the doc wants you to stay." He looked down at the bed before scratching his head again. "That is, if the doc even lets you leave."

"Go ask him. He might have a wheelchair and if he does then he should let us go.... At least as long as you're with me so I don't try anything." Yuu did wonder if it would work but he wanted to at least have some hope that the medic would allow them to do this. When Kai went and asked, the medic did ponder it for a bit and finally disagreed.

 

"I will let you guys go as soon as your wrists heal that way you can push the chair so he doesn't try and move it himself. You should be fine in a couple days but you yourself did a number to those wrists," the doctor explained trying to get the point of him not letting anyone injured do anything stupid to make it worse. "Now go get some rest before I give you sleeping pills and knock you out."

Kai got up to talk to the medic. After much discussion, the medic finally decided against letting them leave the room. He mentioned Kai's wrists and he looked down while lifting his hands up to his waist. "There fine, I can push Yuu in the chair no problem." Kai tried to protest as much as he could, but the medic didnt budge. Kai turned around, sitting back down on Yuu's bed. He let a small smile rest on his lips. "Sorry Yuu, doesn't look like he'll let us go." Kai looked back down at his wrists, rubbing them over the bandage. He wanted them removed, they were starting to itch like hell. But he'd leave them on, for now.

"Guess we'll have to wait. You'll be healed in just a couple days so we can wait till-..." Yuu suddenly stopped talking knowing Kai wouldn't want to be here that long or anything like it. If Kai didn't start trusting the people here, he would kill himself. "I'm going to go talk to the admiral so stay here and distract the doctor." Yuu slid his legs off the bed and began to detach himself from all the machines so he could get up and leave. The medic took notice instantly like hawk and began making his way over.

Kai was listening to Yuu honestly. He knew he was going to heal in a few days, but he wasn't going to be able to last that long. If he didn't get the sleep and food he needed, then surely he'd end up dead in this place. Kai sat straight when Yuu suddenly asked him to distract the medic. He looked over at the man just as he looked over at them. Obviously he saw Yuu trying to get out of bed, because he was coming over. "Wai- Yuu, get back in the bed." Kai grasped on to Yuu's arm. He didn't pull him nor tighten his grip. He just held on to his arm.

"I'm sorry Kai but I'm not going to let you die here because of me. I have to regain my memory and I can't do that sitting in this bed." Yuu pulled away from Kai and stood up. He limped forwards barely able to walk as he attempted to leave and find the admiral. The medic had other plans and grabbed Yuu and forced him back into bed and tied down his legs again and cuffed his wrists to the sides once more. The medic then reattached all the machines and made sure Yuu wasn't going anywhere any time soon. The medic huffed and stormed off again. Yuu looked down sadly.

Kai couldn't hold Yuu back with at hurting him. When Yuu got free of Yuu he stood up, trying to stop him again, but it was the medic who stopped him instead. Kai moved out of the way as he forced Yuu back into the bed, tying him down once again. Kai watched Yuu fall silent, a sad expression ghosting his face. It took him a few more minutes before returning to Yuu's side again. "Yuu," He called out quietly. "Yuu, I'm not going to die. Not here anyway. I promise you." Kai reached for Yuu's hands, holding them both in his. He wanted Yuu's attention on him. It made him feel more relaxed knowing Yuu was looking at him.

Yuu looked up at Kai depressed that he was just so useless. He couldn't even use his hands now because he was cuffed to the bed. He felt so miserable. "I need to talk to the admiral." He mumbled these words again just trying to get the point across. As Yuu was busy feeling sorry for himself, he heard Kai's stomach growl a bit. "You really haven't eaten... Go get some food, the lunch lady there is the doctor's wife and she is just as passionate about her job as her husband is about his. Then come here and sleep. No one will bother you so please or I will struggle until my wounds reopen." It was the only threat he had with his lack of movement.

Kai could feel the pain Yuu held inside. He couldn't do anything to help him, he was just an outsider. Kai squeezed Yuu's hands, knowing he couldn't do anything to comfort him back. He closed his eyes when Yuu started talking. Telling him to eat and get some rest. He wanted to, he really did. Kai wanted to let Yuu know that he would do as he said and rest. But it wasn't entirely easy. Kai was already a stubborn man. His daily training just making it worse. He threw his body beyond its limits, knowing he was risking his life. It was all for the sake of getting revenge for his family. Kai opened his eyes once more, looking into Yuu's with honesty. "I'll eat Yuu, I will. And rest." He wasn't lying. When this was all over, when he knew he could truly trust certain people in this building. Then he'd eat and rest. He would just have t hold himself up until then.

Yuu looked away. He knew Kai wasn't going to just lie down now and get any rest or go to the food court and get anything to eat. There really was no way to force him but Kai should know that the military can't just go and harm a civilian without any good reason for it and since the information Yuu had was all secret, they couldn't use that as their excuse for hurting Kai. The teen leaned back and closed his eyes. The medicine and everything that he had in him was just pushing him to the max and now Yuu needed to rest for a bit. "I'm going to sleep...." it was all he could say before he was out like a light.

Kai connived to look at Yuu even though he ended up looking away from him. A small hint of pain struck Kai in the chest at this action. When he noticed how tired Yuu looked when he laid back in the bed, he stood up, placing his hand on Yuu's head. Yuu announced that he was going to sleep and before Kai could even reply Yuu was out. Kai wiped some of Yuu's hair out of his face. "I'll be here when you wake up." He whispered to Yuu, knowing he wouldn't have heard him. He stood there for several more minutes before sitting in the chair beside the bed. Kai shut his eyes, he'd rest them for now, which was enough for him.

While the medic saw Kai resting in the chair and wanted to send him to the bed to actually get some rest but knew he'd never be able to sleep so this was the best the doctor would get. Several hours later, Yuu woke up again feeling a lot better now that he slept everything out of his system. He silently looked around hoping to find Kai asleep or something but as Yuu started to look, he noticed the admiral on the other side of the bed and focused on him. The man walked in without a sound, checked on the other men and then came over and sat next to Yuu's beg again.

 

"We need to talk," Yuu whispered. The admiral perked up a bit hoping it had something to do with Yuu's memory returning.

Somehow Kai managed to shut his brain off. He wasn't entirely 'asleep' but his body was finally able to rest completely. For as long as Yuu slept, Kai had remained in the chair beside him. Hours later was when Kai woke again, in an unfavorable way. There were several reasons s to why Kai very rarely actually slept. One being he was always on guard with his surroundings. Being in the business he was had him always looking around. The second was nightmares. Every now and then Kai would wake in sweat with his past playing like a movie in his mind. This was what caused Kai to wake now. It was silent in the room until Kai woke with a start, accidently pushing back in his hair, causing it to topple over. Kai fell backwards onto the floor. "Shit....that hurt." He rubbed the back of his head and looked up, finding Yuu sitting awake in bed. "Yuu." It wasn't until he knelt against the bed did he see the admiral beside Yuu on the other side. Kai glared at him.

"Are you ok Kai?!" Yuu looked over when he heard Kai hit the ground. "Looks like you actually slept..." Yuu was pretty surprised by this and focused more on his friend then the admiral.

 

"If you wouldn't mind giving us a few minutes," the admiral began, "Heiba and I have to talk, in private." Yuu then took a quick glance at the admiral before putting all his focus back on Kai and nodded. This was the plan he had and Kai wasn't going to like it in the least. However, as he had said before, it was the only way he could think of that would speed up his memory. Yuu offered Kai a small apology for having to send him away.

Kai rubbed at his head again when Yuu asked him if he was okay. "Ah, yeah, I'm okay. Just hit my head a bit." He smiled at Yuu when he realized that he had in fact fallen asleep. Something he wasn't hoping to do again any time soon. His moment with Yuu was interrupted when the admiral announced he'd rather talk to Yuu alone. Kai hated the idea of letting the man be alone with Yuu. He growled at him, he wasn't going to leave any time soon. At least he wasn't, not until Yuu looked down at him and nodded, apologizing at the same time. "Yuu..." Kai looked up at the teen. Yuu's eyes held determination. Kai couldn't protest against that. Kai sighed at Yuu before patting his head. "I'll just be right outside then." He glared back at the admiral for a few seconds before leaving the bed and the room rather reluctantly.

Yuu looked down sadly as Kai left the room and as the admiral pressed right away for the information, Yuu shook his head and said, "I can't seem to remember anything or anyone. Please, the quickest way for me to remember is if you hurt me the way you were in the interrogation room." The admiral at first didn't want to do it but if it meant getting the info he was looking for, he pulled out his knife. The medic saw the light bounce off the knife and came over to see what was happening but the admiral forced him to stay back and he then drove the knife into Yuu's center. He yelled out in pain but then quickly silenced himself and as the admiral asked his question, the pain was loosening his mind like alcohol and it was becoming easier for the teen to remember what he'd forgotten. He remembered the general and those younger teens in training. The admiral removed the knife and stabbed Yuu in the forearm. He remembered a computer with a long password made up of several numbers, the computer had all kinds of information he thought was off but what that info was or the password were lost. So much was coming back to him and the admiral removed the knife again and searched for somewhere else to stab. He figured if he got Yuu in the eye he'd be sure to remember everything and aimed his knife.

Ki stood out in the hallway. He knew exactly what Yuu's intention was. He heard Yuu call out in pain. His fists clenched, they turned completely white before he broke the skin of his palm. A second yell of pain and Kai clenched his teeth and punch the wall. Which didn't turn out in his favor. Kai had broken his hand. Luckily for hi it wasn't his dominant hand. Kai looked down at his broken hand and realized that the room fell silent. He risked taking a look in the room and saw the admiral aiming a knife at Yuu. Worse, he was aiming it at Yuu's eye. He wouldn't have made it in time if he had cross the room to get there. He found a sharpened pencil on a small table near the door and grabbed it. Kai threw the pencil as if it were a dart. The pencil flew right past the admiral, dropping when it hit the wall behind him.

The admiral noticed the pencil and moved slightly to avoid it. After it hit the wall behind him, he got up and glared at Kai. "Don't get in my way. Heiba asked for this himself and I will get the information I'm looking for." While the admiral was barking at Kai, the medic got to work treating the fresh wounds on the teen who's eyes were fixed on Kai.

 

"I'm sorry Kai... but he's right. I asked him to do this. I want this information out of me as fast as I can so you can return to a normal life. Please, just let him do it.... I won't lose all of my sight, just one eye so please allow it." Yuu looked completely desperate wanting Kai to be free from this place so he could in fact return to his home.
