"I didn't know you liked cake... wait a minute... again? When did I ever mention having cake?" Yuu thought about it and shook his head. "I'm really weird when I'm drunk... I' going to need more help with that." He listened as Kai talked about his work and the admiral forcing an injured person to do this stuff again but he shrugged just slightly. "These kids seemed to have been pretty well trained by General Hugo so they shouldn't bee too hard to handle. I'll probably just teach them the art of finding a weapon that suits them best because just looking at them yesterday said not all of them would be gunmen... and women... I'm gonna need your help to show them this tomorrow since I can only do a small display with my sword." It was going to be strange wielding his sword again but it would be hard because he was still suppose to remain bedridden. Well what could he do. Someone had to teach these kids and it was best to show them someone who didn't fight with a gun.

Kai laughed when Yuu questioned the whole cake incident. The teen was a completely different person when he drank. Kai straightened when Yuu mentioned needing his help with the gun training. "Whatever gun it is, count me in." He winked before opening his mouth in an 'O'. "Although my specialty is long ranged guns. But I can still use others." He watched the teen before him and then ran his fingers across his cheek. The small sensation he got from this touch sent shivers through him. Once they were out of this place he seriously contemplated on having an entire day to touch Yuu. No 'ifs' 'ands' or 'buts' about it.

Yuu liked having Kai touch his face and he smiled a bit. "Good to hear, I have to get up early and get them ready and moving but if you can join us around 10 in the morning, I'd really like it. But please sleep in because I need to have them see me on my own feet without support before my support actually shows up." Yuu was pretty serious and though he wanted Kai to be there with him through it all, he did have to show these kids he had his own strength. They already had to see him in a wheel chair the day before, they needed to see him bounce back and be ready to go. "Sorry about this Kai but I need to do this... for myself as well."

Kai tensed at the suggestion of not being there right away to help Yuu. He wanted to say something against it, to tell him he was going to help him no matter what, until Yuu said he needed to do it. Kai relaxed himself, leaving his hand on Yuu's cheek. He then nodded, agreeing to the terms. "All right. I'll stay back for a little bit." He pointed a finger at Yuu, raising an eyebrow. "But as soon as it hits ten, you can bet I'll be meeting you wherever it is we're going." He lowered the hand that pointed the finger at Yuu and leaned forward, touching their heads together once more. "You really are a prideful man, aren't you?"

Yuu laughed at Kai's motion about showing up right at ten. "Alright, alright." He listened to the comment about him being prideful. He thought about it and thought to the person who raised him. "I guess it must be from how I was raised." Yuu didn't want to get too into it but Kai should know he was talking about the admiral who was basically the teen's adoptive father. The admiral was very prideful and so it was easy for Yuu to pick up on that part of his personality.

Kai kept his forehead against Yuu's. Even after figuring out who Yuu was referring to about being raised. After what he had witnessed and learned the past few days, it wasn't hard for Kai to figure out that Yuu meant the admiral had raised him. Kai mentally huffed at the thought. 'Tough love, huh' he thought too himself. If Yuu was fine with it then.....Kai would have to suck it up someway. He still didn't like the idea of putting an injured man to work though. And Yuu was still young, he needed to be treated like he still had his entire life a head of him.

Yuu was pretty ok with everything that was happening to him. He was raised, almost programmed to understand and to be able to go to work the way he was suppose to, when he was suppose to. It would be interesting to see just how much Yuu will change when his memory is completely wiped and he has to start over and be raised all over again, this time away from the military. It was so strange to think that Yuu was basically getting another chance to start over his life. The teen shook the thought for the moment and looked at the clock. "Jeez, I just woke up and I have to go to bed soon so I can get up in time to go work with these kids... three days, I can handle that!"

Kai moved back from Yuu when the younger male turned to look at the clock. He sat back in his chair and laughed lightly at how Yuu slightly complained about having to go to bed. "Who would have thought the military would have such a tight bed time." Kai had closed his eyes when he said that, so when he stopped talking he opened his eyes and laughed again after seeing Yuu's expression. "Oh come on, I'm just kidding. Your going to need every ounce of sleep you can get if you have to deal with the trainees." Kai recalled the day before as he left back to his home wig the trainees. How most of them were still stuck in a world of fantasy and not the real world. Three days Yuu would need to train them. And three days Kai would be there for him, supporting him when he needed it. Kai folded his arms across his chest. How long would he need to wait until they left this place behind, started a new life. Just the two of them. He would just have to wait until then and with patience, hopefully it would come fast.

Yuu put a scowl on at Kai's comment about the bed time but sighed and relaxed as he talked about the teen needing it. "Don't worry, these guys should be respectful enough and I did already gain their respect before I left.... I wonder if they don't respect me anymore after I ran away...." He looked down and shook his head before relaxing more and getting ready to go to sleep. "I just need to rest and get myself ready for training tomorrow. I hope the medic got something to help with my major injures..." all his injuries were major but he only cared about his leg, gut, and neck. His arms and shoulder would just have to handle themselves.

Kai smiled down at Yuu as he relaxed against the bed. He could tell he as already starting to get tired once again as he laid against the bed. "Don't worry, I'm sure they will still have respect for you." Kai stood up and ran his fingers through Yuu's hair. "Get to sleep. I'll be here when you wake up." He sat back down and waited for Yuu to fall asleep. As soon as he did, Kai would get up, announcing to the medic that he needed to go for a walk. All the sitting around and not training his body had made him feel weak. He was in need of a good work out soon, but he wouldn't be able to do much until his wrists and hand were healed. Lucky enough he'd be healed in no time.

"I hope so...." He mumbled as he closed his eyes trying to fall asleep. It took a while but he managed to dose off and slept until he was woken by the doctor letting him know it was time.

 

The medic saw Kai walking over and talked to him. He though about it and suggested the gunman go to the therapy gym. "You can go down one level where the therapy gym is and you can walk the treadmill but that's the extent of it. I don't want you pushing yourself and if you do push yourself I will have you completely bed ridden. That means no joining Yuu for his work or even going to get your own food." He was still very serious about this.

Kai was shocked to hear that the medic was allowing him to exercise. He internally celebrated as the therapy room and treadmill were mentioned. Kai looked back at Yuu one last time before leaving the room. It was the evening, so he wouldn't have enough time before he was sure to have been told to return back to the medic room. Kai found the room fairly easy, now that he was getting used to the floor. He found the treadmills and chose the one closest to the wall. The only thing that would make his run better was if he had music to distract himself. He couldn't be too greedy, he'd have to make do. Kai began at a walk, and after a mile walk he began jogging until he gradually picked up speed.

 

Although he took breaks in between, Kai had stayed in the therapy room. By the time early morning came along, Kai had undressed to just his jeans and ran over 20 miles on the treadmill. He wanted to run more, to move his body more. But this was the best he was able to do. When Kai walked back to the medic room, shirt draped over his shoulders as he wiped off the sweat from his forehead, he had found Yuu awake as he got ready to start the training session. Breathing heavily and covered in sweat, Kai smiled as he walked up to Yuu. "Mornin'"

"You're not allowed to join me until noon," he said quietly. "Good morning by the way." Yuu finally stood up wearing his general uniform. His neck was visibly bandaged and his right arm was in a sling but he looked clean, and strong. He was standing and had his sword strapped to his side. "I told you to sleep in today but if you're not here to sleep, then you can't sleep in so you're not allowed to join me until you get proper rest," Yuu explained. He walked over, clearly trying to get use to the gear on his leg hidden by his pants. "Good night," he said giving Kai a quick peck on his cheek before Yuu walked out of the medical wing.

Kai couldn't believe how amazing Yuu looked in his uniform. Clothes really did make the man. He wiped away some more sweat and placed a hand on Yuu's head. "I'll get some sleep now." He leaned over, to move out of the way of his arm blocking his face. "I just needed to get a run in. That's all." Kai dropped his hand and smiled down at Yuu. He really did like the way Yuu dressed in the uniform, it really made him stand taller and come off as being stronger. It was like the his injuries didn't even exist with him dressed in uniform. Yuu left, leaving a kiss on Kai's cheek before stepping out of the room completely. Kai's smile widened just a bit. He watched the door a little while longer before turning around back towards the beds. He found his watch and set an alarm. Then he laid in the bed he had practically claimed as his. It took a while for his body to relax completely and calm down. But it did in no time at all so that he could fall asleep.

It took all he had just to make it to sector C where Yuu then had to take a break before heading in. He got there early enough so even when he walked in, he wasn't late. Yuu had to go up a level where the bedrooms were and he banged on the door the best he could. "Rise and shine kids. Let's get to work." It felt amazing to be back to this. He was able to properly hold himself to a high standard and felt right at home here. It was almost sad that he would have to leave it eventually. The young general waited down stairs for the recruits but by the time he made it, the kids were right behind him. "Damn," he whispered to himself. "Alright everyone, my name is general Heiba for any of you who forgot about me over the past couple weeks. I'm in charge of you while general Hugo is away. Now you guys saw me in a wheelchair two days ago. Don't expect me so weak. Now, the next three days we will be learning the importance of a weapon that suits you. See, most people fight with a gun, but as some of you know, I fight with a sword. This is what it's about. Now, go pick a weapon you think will work and before I leave, you guys will be training with your final choice and only your final choice."

Kai slept straight through the last few hours that were left before he had to meet up with Yuu. Luckily for him he had set an alarm for a half hour early so he could take a shower. Sure it felt good to sweat, but after so long Kai hated the smell. Since he didn't wash up or anything before going to lie down, his body rested in his sweat for those hours. Kai grabbed some new clothes from the bags beside Yuu's bed, then went over to the medic who was sitting at his deck. "Uh, hey is...is there a place I can wash up?" Kai really did want to wash up and change quick. The faster he was, the sooner he'd be bale to meet up with Yuu in the training room. And hopefully, he'd be able to work up another sweat while helping out with the training. Of course, that was if he was even needed to begin with.

The medic lead Kai to one of the bathrooms and wrapped up his cast so it wouldn't get wet. The medic then had Kai take a shower and pointed out where everything was. He walked away again and headed back to the other patients who were on their way to leaving this place.

 

Yuu was helping instructing the trainees and telling them if they had picked the wrong fit. He was soon ready to display for himself how a sword extended him, how it was just another part of the teen. He draw his sword with his left and and began welding it. Yuu found it very tough to wield the blade properly with his injuries but he could handle with one arm and found his flow. The trainees attacked and he was able to defend and even disarm a few of them. Everyone was greatly impressed and he was displaying his sword skills when Kai finally made it. "Attention!! Everyone, this is a friend, Kai. He specializes in fire arms. He is going to show you which gun suits him best and why."

Kai nodded to the medic in thanks for helping him out. He felt like he'd caused the man way too much trouble over the last couple of days. 'We'll have to do something for him, won't we?' he thought to himself. It wasn't long for Kai to finish his shower. He always took a fast one. Always lasting between and and fifteen minutes. Kai let himself air dry, and pulled his clothes on over his wet body. He returned to the medical room for a moment so that he could toss his clothes into his bag and remove the wrap from hi cast. After he replaced his watch on his wrist, he left and headed for the training room.

 

When Kai arrived, he found Yuu swinging his sword. Kai had never seen him actually use it before, and he could tell how much skill Yuu had with it. When he stepped inside, Yuu instantly spotted him and called for attention. The trainees stopped and took notice of him. Kai felt like a new student being introduced to his new high school class. An old memory of his junior high days quickly being pushed aside. When Kai stepped beside Yuu he threw up a hand in a wave. "Yo." Those were the only words he spoke until his guidance was completely needed.

"Kai, the guns are in that back room there. Choose whichever suits you best and come on out and show us what you've got." His attention turned towards a small group of trainees. "You five go get the targets and set them up. The rest of you, clear the space and get to the side." The newbies jumped to it and all hurried around properly at a good pace. Yuu stepped to the side and was clearly hurting but he continued to put on a strong face so no one would worry about him. Of course that didn't work because his three top students knew he was in pain and went over to help. Yuu told them he was fine and had them keep in line but he was still gentle and was willing to talk to them later. Yuu leaned against a wall until Kai returned and Yuu sheathed his sword and walked closer.

"Anything that suits me, huh?" Kai left to the back room in order to find that one gun. When he entered the room his jaw dropped, he'd never seen so many guns in one place. His own gun was bought from a black market dealer in the back of a car. So it wasn't like he chose it from a wall, or a room, of guns. Like a child at Christmas, Kai couldn't help but find interest in all the guns. He shook his head. "Wait, get a grip. Yuu is waiting for you to return." He nodded at himself as he walked over to the wall with long range weapons. Instantly he caught a glimpse of a sniper rifle. He took it off the wall and grabbed two of the clips that were loaded already. When he left the room, he noticed the training area had been set up and the trainees were waiting to the side. Kai also caught a glimpse of the three trainees from earlier stepping away from Yuu as if he politely pushed them away. Kai walked up to Yuu, meeting him as he came towards him. "Found one." He smiled at Yuu.

"Good, then the next thing to do is to hit all the targets." The targets were all over the room at different angles. "Ready?" He spoke quietly and personally. He then turned towards everyone else. "As you can see, Kai's choice of gun depends on what is best for him. He chose a sniper which as all of you know if a weapon for distance. It takes serious focus and accuracy but that is how Kai operates." He looked to Kai and nodded hoping he'd get started. Everyone was ready, anticipating his movements. They were very excited to watch.

Kai smiled with pride. He never got the chance to show anyone just how good he was with a gun. Although it was very positive someone else was better then him, he just hoped there wasn't. When Yuu spoke softly to him, Kai grinned. "Ah, not yet." Kai began walking away as Yuu addressed the trainees. He walked all the way to the entrance of the training room itself. Then he knelt down, and called back to Yuu with a wave. "Ready now!" If Kai was going to show these trainees something good, why not start off at the best skill he had. He positioned his gun in his hands and rested one elbow on his raised knee. The butt of the gun rested against his shoulder. He was glad once again that it was his non-dominant hand that was injured. Kai started looking around the room for the targets through his scope. "Yuu, let me know!" He called out once he managed to ready himself for target practice.

"Begin whenever you're ready. Everyone here is set," Yuu replied and gave a slight nod he knew Kai couldn't see because of his focus. The top three came forwards a bit and positioned themselves so they'd be able to see but also offered Yuu a chance to lean on them a bit without actually looking like he was leaning on them. He whispered a thank you that almost they didn't even hear as they helped. Everyone else was super excited to see what Kai could do and when he started, they were put in a trance, staring in amazement.

Kai started as soon as Yuu gave the okay. He found each and every one of his targets in an instant and shot at them as if they were all in one single file line. Kai had always been able to put himself in a zone where all he concentrated on was the targets in front of him. Which was pretty much the reason as to why his jobs were always successful. He finished off the last target and allowed the gun cool down from the intense shooting. He came over to Yuu, noticing at one point during his shooting that he was very slightly leaning on one of the trainees. A very small pout formed on his lips, but no one would have been able to see it if they didn't know him. He lowered his gun and spoke up. "Is there any moving targets in this place? That would be a good thing to practice on too."

"Easy there Kai, we have to save the time for the newbies." He was back on his feet already and walked closer to Kai and then turned towards the group. "Alright everyone. I see you're all deeply impressed but try to listen up. Kai can get in the zone and stay calm allowing him to wield such a weapon. You have to find the weapon that speaks to your personality so let's go. Those that need to change weapons, do so, everyone else please help set this place up for extra training." He made every get ready for the next rounds. "Ok, now go have lunch. After, we will be splitting into two groups and Kai and I will be helping you learn how to use your weapons. Dismissed." Everyone saluted and hurried out of the room to go eat. Yuu turned to his friend once everyone was gone and kissed him. "Thanks for that."
