Kai left for the vending machines, clearly taking notice of the distance Yuu still kept between them. He was starting to get very aggravated about it. When he collected his things from the vending machine, a younger woman stepped beside him offering a greeting to him. He smiled, offering one to her as well. When she continued in small talk, Kai decided to talk with her as well. The weather was one topic she spoke of the most. After finding out she was student training to be a meteorologist. He laughed at something he had said. It had been a good fifteen minutes before Kai returned to Yuu and the bike. He handed him the water he asked for "Here. Sorry about the wait." They didn't leave right away, instead Kai leaned against the bike eating the chocolate bar he had just bought. One thing no one knew about him, he loved sweets. Any chance he got to eat sweets he took it. He watched the traffic coming and going, and everyone who came close to them.

When Kai gave Yuu the water, he hesitantly removed his hands from his sword and fumbled with the water before grabbing hold of it. The teen was still shaking and couldn't even open the bottle. He cursed under his breath before putting the water in his bag and crouching down behind the bike. Yuu stayed silent for another long time before suddenly standing up and turning to Kai. "I remembered something and I don't know how you're going to react to it...." he got quieter and quieter as the sentence went on until his voice trailed off.

He suddenly fell silent again as if he maybe changed his mind or something. Yuu clicked his tongue irritably at himself and turned away again squatting down behind the bike once more. The teen had a lot on his mind and he didn't even know if he should tell Kai about what he remembered.

Kai was sitting quietly against his bike when Yuu suddenly told him about his lost memories. He didn't want to interrupt, so he waited until Yuu finished or started telling him about the memories. Unfortunately it never happened. Yuu stopped himself from talking again, squatting down opposite of Kai. Kai frowned, not happy about Yuu's new behavior. Something had to change about it. He had finished the candy bar, so as he stood up he stiffed the wrapper in his pocket just before squatting in front of Yuu. Where he was stopped Yuu from being able to go anywhere unless he literally pushed him away from him. Kai's voice was low, not wanting to yell, but still sounded harsh. "Tell me. Don't keep things hidden from me." He stared at Yuu, sharp gray eyes looking straight into his.

Yuu was unnaturally startled by Kai getting in front of him. He jumped more then he probably should have. Still, Yuu was pretty reluctant to speak up but he could see just how serious the other was about this and his slowly started talking trying to drag it out a bit or something. "I've been in the military... well... for as long as I can remember... Last night... Some more memories returned... They weren't exactly... happy." He was becoming painfully slow until he saw Kai's irritation and continued a little more normally. "The military trained me like a dog and though I can't remember what that means it was said and I would kill people all the time. It wasn't just... bad guys... anyone the military didn't deem worthy, I killed them so they couldn't go home... I also went into places and killed the innocent just because the military told me to. Every time I got close to someone, I killed them... I don't want to do that to you or anyone else..... I have more blood on my hands then anyone should..." as he said the last sentence, Yuu had looked at his shaking hands and he felt like a monster.

Kai listened without saying a word. However when Yuu started talking at a painfully slow pace, Kai couldn't help getting irritated. Although he was irritated, Kai could see just how upset Yuu was getting about these memories. It wasn't until the last sentence he spoke when Kai decided to do something. He grasped Yuu's shaking hands, tightly holding them in his. He made sure to make Yuu look at him, and not look away. If he did, he'd just make him look at him again. "Yuu listen to me. Your not a monster. Its not your fault that you killed people. The military, they were the ones who made you kill." Kai's eyes had softened, they weren't sharp adn angry like they had been. Kai really wanted to show Yuu how much he understood and that he wasn't at fault. "Yuu, you aren't going to hurt me. Or anyone else. We are going to hide and find a place where your past won't find us."

Yuu jumped again and actually tried to pull away at first when Kai grabbed him but he calmed down pretty quickly while the other began to talk. The teen couldn't just quietly accept what he had done or that the government made him. He should have made more of an attempt to get away from it or something. "I'm scared of the person I use to be..." It was actually very hard for him to admit that.

When Yuu was fully calmed he moved a bit closer to Kai only to remember they had to get going and stiffly stood up. The young general didn't want to be who he was and was fighting for the memories to stay hidden. Of course knowing would help, of course it could potentially help them, but Yuu still didn't want to become some military lap dog again just for kicks and giggles.

Kai held Yuu tightly to keep him from moving away. He could feel the struggle he was getting from Yuu. Luckily enough the struggle stopped. But before Kai could try and calm him down further, noticing how he leaned closer, Yuu had abruptly stood back up again. Kai felt dejected, like he'd just been dumped by some woman. He looked down at his watch and thought that it was a good time to continue on with their travel. He got back on the bike, waiting for Yuu to get on right after. To make up time Kai decided that they would travel longer then before. He knew this would upset Yuu's wound, but he wanted to get to the next district as soon as possible.

By the time they reached the second city of the next district it was nightfall. The clouds had settled in and made everything colder and darker. Rain was clear to come soon. Kai found another motel just outside the city limits. And luckily for them it had a connected diner. He pulled in, parking the bike out of sight. Kai grabbed both the bags from the back of the bike. He wanted to offer his help to Yuu in walking. Knowing very well he'd be stiff. "Want any help?"

Yuu gripped onto Kai a little more tightly this trip. However, that grip was still there when they parked. He was forced to let go but that didn't mean he was happy about it. "I don't think I can move..." He muttered under his breath. Yuu clumsily forced himself off the bike and grabbed back onto Kai using him as a crutch to actually be able to walk. At this pace it was going to take forever for him to heal. He should be up and about back to normal by now but the bike was just making things worse.

When they got to the room to put the bags down, Yuu looked like he was going to collapse with them. He really needed a few days without the bike and he'd be fine. If only they had the time. "We should probably eat," he admitted. Of course he was hungry but he really wanted sleep.

Kai helped Yuu walk, from the bike to the motel front desk and then to their room. Which luckily enough was really close to the front area. He helped Yuu on to the bed as he collapsed in pain and exhaustion. Kai put the bags down on the desk when he spoke about being hungry. He looked at the table near the bed and noticed some menus. He took a look noticing they delivered. "They have room service from the diner. Want to order something?" Kai looked at Yuu, who was still laying completely still on the bed. He felt bad, but with this, they were now able to stay at the motel for a view days before they had to leave again.

"Yes please," he said, lazily lifting a hand up for the menu. Of course he made Kai bring it over to him but what could you do. Yuu held the menu over his face and looked at it for a while. He thought about it for a long time almost as if he didn't know what anything was. "Maybe just the breaded chicken sandwich with some fries? Heck maybe a beer." He needed the joke even though no one seemed to laugh. "I think I'll just have a water to drink unless you can suggest anything else. I don't really remember having anything else." Yuu sat up and looked over at Kai while placing the menu on the bed beside him.

"We should also probably check to see if they have any more information on us. I feel like we haven't heard or seen anything on you so maybe they didn't get a description or name yet."

Kai leaned over the bed, handing the menu to Yuu. He waited for him to say what he wanted before saying anything. He almost burst out with an audible "No" to Yuu wanting beer. But when Yuu decided it was a joke he calmed himself. He grabbed the menu to look at it himself, finding what he wanted right away. He noticed Yuu looking at him, telling him about looking for more information on them. Kai nodded, thinking he was right. Kai put the menu down and sighed. "Yuu, there...there's probably a good amount of information about me on there now. A client of mine spotted me with you that day." He looked down at his hands, then moved to the motel phone where he ordered the food. Then he went to grab his laptop, turning it on and handing it to Yuu. "Knock yourself out." Kai left to the bathroom, leaving the door open, and began washing his face in the sink.

Yuu took a long time to figure out what he was doing. For a general, he didn't learn much from the military. The teen looked over the info he had to the best he could and found that it had been updated that there were now two of them on the run. They had a bad description of Kai but his name was also up so that wasn't very helpful. Yuu felt the weight of their situation getting heavier and heavier. He was about to shut the computer down when the notepad on the comp appeared and Yuu read the number he'd said when he was drunk. "It's a passcode," he whispered almost silently to himself. He was just trying to remember when Kai came out and the teen put the laptop down.

Kai came out of the bathroom, wiping his face with one of the towels they prepared before hand. "What did you find?" Kai sat at the end of the bed. Not quite next to Yuu, but not that far from him either. He looked at the closed laptop. His brow raised in question to why it was closed, but he didn't ask it. Then a knock came at the door. Kai twitched, and he internally groaned and snapped at himself. If they were going to be on the run he couldn't jump at every little thing. He checked through the peep hole, determining it safe enough to open the door. Kai grabbed the food and closed the door, locking it. He placed the food on the table and looked at Yuu. "Food's here."

Yuu simply explained that the police had given out his name and a really bad description that didn't even actually look like him. The teen didn't bother mentioning about the passcode because he wanted to know what it was to first. It could be anything, a computer, a safe, he had no idea unless his memory helped him at all. When the knock came, Yuu was also pretty jumpy and grabbed his sword again. He hadn't even taken it off yet but he held tightly until Kai determined it was safe. He let go and stayed back until the door was closed again and he got up to have his meal.

Yuu at least sat at the table to eat. He found the food to be pretty good and the fries were nice and crispy, though they were a bit salty. The teen didn't care that much though so he just moved on and continued eating. "It's not bad," he said as he watched what Kai was eating.

Kai had stayed standing until Yuutook his seat first at the table. Just in case he needed Kai's help at all. When he sat and started eat his food then Kai also sat and ate his food. He pulled out a cheeseburger filled with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles, it was the juiciest burger he'd ever had. He bit into it again and noticed Yuu watching him eat. He put the burger down, raising a brow at him. "What is it? Do I have shit on my face?" He tried to rub off the invisible food particles from his cheeks and lips, thinking he might have gotten something.

"I don't know what you're talking about," he played enjoying watching Kai rub away invisible food. "Sorry I was just curious because I didn't hear what you were getting, that's all." He then went back to his sandwich and fries. Yuu looked down and continued to rack his brain for what the pass code could be to. Was it even important? It must have because he remembered the numbers as soon a he saw them. Was it what the government was after? There were too many unknowns.

"Are we staying here a couple days or are we heading out tomorrow?" While he was waiting for an answer, Yuu looked towards the window. "It's raining..." It was just starting so it was hard to tell but the rain was picking up pretty quickly.

Kai was glad to see that Yuu was playful, well, at least he was. "Ah yeah, I didn't say it put loud besides when I ordered, huh?" He watched Yuu as he fell silent again. Turning to the window when Yuu stated it was raining. "We will be staying here for a little while. But we have to get as far away from out city as much as possible. We will start a new life and let the past we lived fade." Kai hated the silence from the younger male. Granted he didn't talk much as it was, but he had started to talk even less. Hell he'd rather have him drunk again then having the distance between them now. He sighed, going back to eating his burger.

"I see... Maybe forgetting the past is a good thing," he muttered quietly. The whole situation felt so awkward to him that he didn't know what to do to make things normal. Yuu then got up and pulled out one of the beers from his bag that had been packed away just in case. "We seemed to get along after I had this... I hope..." He gave a quick look to Kai as if begging him not to stop Yuu from what he was about to do.

He opened the beer and held onto it ready to drink. Knowing he'd not remember a thing actually sounded pretty good right now because his memory was causing him so much trouble. Yuu took a breath and placed the beer to his lips to take a drink.

Kai had just finished his burger when he watched Yuu stand up and walk towards the bags they brought with them. He eyed him, not sure exactly what he was doing. It wasn't until he pulled out the beer can did Kai know what he was doing. "Yuu what are you...?" His question never finished before Yuu was already chugging down the beer. This was the last thing Kai wanted. The last time they drank Kai ended up hurting Yuu. He clenched his fist, that night would never happen again.

Yuu was at least sitting this time so he didn't end up falling over the way he did last time. In fact, he just finished his food like he wasn't even being affected. It wasn't long though that he was showing signs. His mind was a lot clearer in this state. "Did you know that I don't even like tattoos? I had to get this one when they moved me to general. Personally I think it's a stupid idea to brand someone like that." He hiccupped and got up to walk over to Kai. The teen dropped his hands over the other's shoulders and sort of collapsed into his arms. "Do you have any tattoos or scars you don't like having?"

Kai was dumbfounded, he literally didn't know what was coming over Yuu. The younger male has gulped down the beer, finishing it. Then went to eat and while eating started rambling on about tattoos and the military. Kai listened to him, not wanting to interrupt him, just in case Yuu said something about his past that hadn't been mentioned before. He quirked his brow up as Yuu began walking towards him. Kai instantly threw his arms out to the side when Yuu collapsed against him. In order to keep him from falling, Kai held on to him but his waist, keeping him on his lap. He heard Yuu ask him about scars and tattoos he had. He nodded, letting his head fall against Yuu's shoulder. "Yeah, I've got a few scars I'm not happy about." Kai had a few small scars following his body, but the biggest one was from a stab wound he suffered in his side. Causing a good three inch scar to form.

"See, people don't lik marks on their body. Why do people think it's masculine to show these things off? One of the other generals was always ripping his shirt off and telling everyone about his scars and how he'd gotten them. A lot of the other guys were impressed but I could see why!" He pat Kai's head as it rested on his shoulder. "I actually have a small scar on my ankle from a dog but you don't see me showing it off!!" *hic* Yuu seemed kind of pissed about his tattoo now and started harshly rubbing his shoulder where he could reach with his left hand.

"Well, not all scars are bad. I'd gladly show off a scar if I had gotten it protecting someone I loved." He looked up at Yuu, feeling him move around. He found Yuu rubbing harshly at the area where was tattooed. Kai reached up and sped his hand, pulling it towards him and holding tightly. "Some scars we don't want, but those scars, are what makes us who we are." He looked up at Yuu again grey eyes gazing into his. "Some scars help us become better people. They change us into people we want to become."

"You have really nice eyes," he said. Yuu understood what Kai was talking about but he was still drunk so anything that really made him think, was kind of pointless. The teen shifted so he was sitting on Kai's lap a little better still facing him so he was basically strattling the older male. "You drink coffee don't you? How do people like something so bitter? I'm more of a sweet kind of guy. Or sour. If your face contort to something sour then it's the best."

Kai laughed when Yuu ignored saying anything more about scars and instead commented on his eyes. "Well, I'd say yours are just as nice." He felt Yuu shifting and decided to let his grip loosen, giving him enough space to shift. When Yuu was done he was now sitting on Kai, facing him, straddling him. In a way this was hot, Kai liked this new position. Once again in order for him not to fall off, Kai kept his grip around Yuu's waist tight. He grinned up at Yuu. "Beer is good. I like the bitter taste. Coffee doesn't do it justice. But I'll tell you a secret..." He looked around the room, as if checking to make sure know one was listening. "I have one hell of a sweet tooth." He waited and watched for Yuu's expression, he wanted to see how he could affect the younger male.
