I appreciate beautiful art so I recall her, and hers could be considered as such. But back to the topic. From her shoujo era to the rather welcomed yaoi genre she stepped into, she's got that pattern of the lead male character (in yaoi that would be the seme) to 'capture'/ persuade their partner in one way or another. The leading female character (in yaoi that would be the uke) is somehow always unsure and hesitant and even in denial. So to say, this is her usual pattern. It's like her main things to include: * have one arrogant lead, * have one lead in denial/being unsure or hesitant, * have them in a bittersweet romance, * then suddenly get them split, * then get that very same arrogant lead/ or the teasing lead persuade or capture the one in denial. Really, if you look back to her other yaoi titles or shoujo titles, it's the same. The lead male (or the seme) would always go and 'grasp' their partner. To be honest, I get the impression that the series is being dragged on because it is quite popular. I thought Itoshikata was a good place for the series to end, though I didn't mind reading the new arc, because well, the art, the smut and I do feel a certain fondness for Keiichi x Shingo. But it just feels like we're treading the same whole ground all over again: the insecurity, the misunderstanding, and like Saga pointed put, the denial and the winning back. So while I was a little put out (from the spoilers that I partially glimpsed) that they're going to split up, in the end it didn't weigh too much on my mind, because it's happened before and always turns out for the better. I can actually read it over and over again without getting bored of it, although the order of all the "arcs" are a bit confusing to me... I also agree with the fact that it feels that it was being dragged on..I mean, the splitting part at the end was a bit unnecessary in my opinion. However, I could have had a different outlook if i had read the story in one go (without having to wait for the updates). I think it reflects reality quite accurately, which is why i really appreciate this manga - the shapeshifting aside x). In real life, relationships are not all pink and happy all the time. Seeing how you are all excited about it (I only fast read the thread so I wouldn't stumble over spoilers) makes me want to read it even more. But I want to read the whole series in one stand so I'll have to wait until this weekend when I'll have more free time.
