Necrophile666
Name: [Captain] Deacon Moffit Age: 25 Height: 188 cm Weight: 90.7 kg Hair: Dark brown Eyes: pale blue Race: Human-alien Skills: Gun expert, intermediate with blades. Pilot's certification/license. Wears: Tries to dress decently in suits, though often tends to lean more towards a pirate style (easier to conceal his weapons). Weapon: Always carries at least two pistols/blaster/lasers, a hidden blade, and two daggers. Other: Naturally forked tongue. Tattoos of a map on one arm, and something in a long since dead language on the other. Can fair in several languages, and fluently speak four. Likes control and money. Personality: Deacon is hardheaded, bossy, though it comes with the job title. He prefers to be straightforward with people, though often ends up taking a more round about method when it comes to completing jobs. ___________________________________________________________________________ With the latest job complete, the crew agreed they could hit Londinium to restock and refuel before taking another job. After that, they could all look forward to a much needed vacation. Crew was family, but there were always those days where tempers flared and death threats were thrown about the breakfast table. Three months, spent in close quarters or working, was about all they could take of each other at a time. Even Captain Moffit and his first mate, Novaro Coolidge, were beginning to butt heads. As the ships autopilot steered them to their set destination, Deacon found himself sitting in silence with his first mate, their argument having made the entire deck crew uncomfortable. "If we get stopped at a checkpoint we're all going to be arrested." Coolidge broke the tense silence with a hiss. Deacon rolled his eyes. "We've been stopped several times and rarely have they ever asked to see any kind of license." "We can't always run on luck." Deacon's shorter first mate quickly retorted. "We can't always bank on others' lack of competence. We've barely gotten by in the last year, and we can't keep doing it." Deacon sat at the center of the deck, in his throne, chin rested on his palm as he gazed at Coolidge with a nonchalant expression. "Well, there's nothing I can do now. Over our next break I'll get another pilot's license and it'll be fixed." "You've said that every work period for the last year. We're all waiting to make sure you don't get us all landed in some correctional facility. The government officials already don't like us, and their little pets will use whatever excuse given to make our lives miserable." Coolidge pressed. "Why don't we just find an actual pilot? Instead of hearing from your bank of excuses." Deacon gave a small, sarcastic laugh. "Ah, yes, let's just pick up a pilot and pay him to push a few buttons and direct our ship for a portion of our funds. Sounds great. We can hire someone off the street, as long as they have a license." The argument continued on, while their deck crew tried hard to work around them, tried not to get involved. Everything was quickly devolving into a mess, and they still had one more job to do.
zajawa
Antonio sighed in irritation. Seriously.. it wasn't like he was thinking that journey into the space would be all smooth and spend sleeping on heavenly soft beds but that was simply too much. And that stupid human! How can he fly without licence?! Thanks to that Antonio was left on some forsaken planet. Thankfully he was able to get himself to Londinium but now his cash resources have been greatly depleted by that. Seriously.. I should be one of those dandy vampires from novels. With a lot of money, servants and all that shit. It would be so much easier now. Sighing heavily he repositioned his bag so it could follow behind him without falling of various people. Stopping to have a look on the map he decided to head to the spaceport to see if he maybe would be able to find a spaceship to take him from here. This place was good to stay longer. Maybe judging the whole planet from one look at it's biggest town was a bit too much but on the other hand Londinium wasn't on the list of planets he wanted to know closer. It was populated mainly by humans and it was it's main fault. For the next few years Antonio wanted to forget they existed. He already tried to drink a blood of 'aliens' it it was different.. but mostly alright to drink. Especially those of mixed blood. After spending forty years as vampire he just needed to feed once or twice a month so it made things easier for him. As he watched the table of arrivals and departures he felt a hand squeezing his behind. Blushing he turned around, it not even lasting one second, and grabbed the other's shirt. "Do that once again and I swear I will tear your arm off and pushing it inside your ass so far it would come out of your mouth, you sorry excuse of living being", he growled, his green eyes intensifying in color. Luckily for himself the alien male left him alone. Focusing back on the table he hummed. Now.. what would be the best option..
Necrophile666
Sitting at port was probably the most boring part of their adventures. Deacon sat on one of the newly purchased ration crates, as he waited to here from the boatswain on fuel prices. Certainly they'd made enough that the price wasn't much of a concern, however, that didn't mean they were pleased to pay in full. Somewhere else, they possibly could have haggled for a lower cost, though that apparently wasn't an option on Londinium. As time dragged on, the impatient captain found himself growing all the more bored. Slowly, he began getting increasingly more interested in exploring; they had some time before they had to leave. The shipment they agreed to transport wouldn't be ready for pick up for another day, and Londinium was far more intriguing than Bellerophon. Perhaps there was some street food somewhere, something to eat other than the MRE's Coolidge insisted they buy over real food.
zajawa
An irritated sigh left the perfect lips of Antonio as the two first asked captains wanted too much money for his liking. Then he headed to the third spaceship mentioned on the table. Soon he was there.. and saw some half human sitting on the crate there, obviously looking bored out of his mind. Clearing his throat he got closer. "Good morning to you. I am looking for this ship's captain. Since you are heading for Bellerophon I'm interested in buying a place on your ship", he said, hoping this time the price wouldn't be so high. "So would you be so nice and ask a captain to meet with me?" That said Antonio gave one of his best smiles to the male, waiting for him to do or say something. The other was quite handsome to say the truth and he sure had a nice fashion style. Also didn't seem like a wimp or one of those obese, ribald people he saw here and there, working on the spaceships. Necrophile666
Deacon paused when the younger, red haired man appeared before him. Did it look like he was a shuttle? Certainly not. Though perhaps the kid couldn't afford shuttle fair; they were superbly overpriced for simple trips within the system. Deacon cocked his head to the side as he considered him for a moment. Bringing a stranger onto his ship seemed a little risky, though he supposed there weren't any real goods on board. Was it worth it for the little bit of money? Not really, not in comparison to what an actual job, but he didn't have much reason to turn him down. "How much are you looking to spend?" Deacon finally asked, taking his tie to let his eyes roam a little. Look with your eyes and not with your hands. He reminded himself. "I don't have much to offer you in the way of space. We usually transport goods, not people. As well as I have a full crew. Though I suppose I can offer you transport." Perhaos he was feeling generous enough to even offer it free to such a refreshing face, but he wasn't about to say that aloud.
zajawa
Antonio liked the other's answer. At last there was no stupid questions or additional comments. He decided to first offer the lowest.. yet not a funny low price. "What would you say for 100 credits?", he asked, eyeing curiously the other male. "I don't need much. Just some place to sleep, something to eat and drink. I have my own covers and such. Just need someone to give me a lift to Bellerophon." That said he waited for the other's answer, wondering if he would be fine with it. On Bellerophon were some old ruins and he wanted to explore them. First it was to sate his own curiosity and the second reason was money. He was sure there could be still found some nice things, things he could sell for a quite high price. After all they were not widely known of and Bellerophon wasn't a safest of planets. He himself knew about the ruins only because of some old man.
