Nine Tail Fox's form:

guy_920853.jpg

As a mythical creature, he can use magic, especially controlling the nature. He gets his hair white and gets slightly longer front fangs. Barely understands human's language at first, yet slowly learns how to control his power and his changing. Other then that, he is also good at fighting.

Name: Yokuzawa Kanase

Age: 20

Height: 5'7''

Weight: 135lbs

Personality: Playful, sometimes silly, always causing problems (yet always having a reason for that). He likes to fight and is good at it, as he usually uses just his fists, kinda clumsy with a sword, yet a stick is fine. He is usually calm and rarely gets angry, yet once he does, he is ready to kill without thinking twice.

Likes: He likes to eat, a lot. To mess up with the small robbers in the village and return the money back to the poor people.

Dislikes: Being told what to do. Being called a kid without parents. When someone speaks bad about his father.

History: When he was just a newborn, he was found in the forest by his now called father and raised by him. He is loved by everybody, since the male doesn't have any other kids except for him. He is a rich person, who holds an inn, where many people go. Kana has been learnt everything: How to read, how to act well, how to speak and all. He though doesn't like Edo at all, but since every year, because of the emperor, his father is sent there, he takes care of the inn along with his mother if needed.

He isn't familiar with any of the power he has yet, nor that he isn't even a human.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was just like any other day. Kana was out in the village, too bored to stay in the inn, even though his mother asked him to. He has always been wondering though, how did people live here, so happily when they barely had anything to eat. Even though his father was the village's daimyo, instead of a cruel and cold person, he was seen as a good and always ready to help someone.
"Kanase-san. Good afternoon, please take of these apples. Your father helped us a lot last time, so that's the least we can do in return." One old male along with his wife next to him called him, offering him some of their apples.
"Ah thank you, Fujimori-san. I will eat it well." Kanase took one green apple and smiled at the other male, though just when he took a small bite of it, he saw many people gathering around the road, as if they were waiting for something.
"Nae, nae did you hear? In Yokuzawa's inn there are gonna be some special guests tonight. The prime minister is coming soon." He could hear them all speaking and being all excited. That was odd though. Why would such an important persona came here? The black haired boy sighed and turned around, rushing quickly back to the inn.
Name: Goto Mitsuhara
Age: 24
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 141lbs
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Green
Perosnality: Goto is considered the big brother of the village. He comes off as cross and unpleasant to those who first meet him. But give him a child whose tripped and injured their knee and he is there to help them. He is very considerate of weaker people. Therefor leaving it to himself to help the elderly carry their heavy items. He keeps his promises and will help anyone who is in need. Therefore a lot of women like to take advantage of him when he's trying to court them. Which leads to Goto being single even at the age of 24.
Likes: Sweets, kids, large animals and traveling
Dislikes: Government officials, criminals, liars and anything that causes harm to the village and weak
Bio: Goto was born in the small village just inside of Edo. At the age of five, his father's friend, the village Daimyo found and took in a small newborn that was found in the outside forest. During the years this newborn grew, Goto considered himself the younger's brother. Making it his responsibility to take care of him. Even today, as his father's only son, Goto has been rightfully handed his father's shop. Of course he wouldn't be rightfully running it until his father passed. For now Goto does what he wants as the village's 'police'. Not that there was any sort of force in the village besides him.
Other: Goto has a birthmark in the shape of an egg right on the back of his right shoulder. He has a weapon of choice being a dagger. Although he'd rather not use it against anyone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Goto was helping his father delivery goods to his shop clients. After his father suffered a small sprain in his back, he was unable to deliver or lift many things. As he told Goto and his own wife what to do, the man lay on a mat on the floors. Goto laughed at the old man upon first seeing him. But after a good lecture form his mother it soon died down. Tough it didn't stop Goto from snickering at the thought when he was delivering. He had just finished his second delivery when he was on his way to his next, when he spotted Kanase walking around the village main street.
He saw as an elderly couple pulled him aside passing him a basket of apples. He was glad that the village accepted him so well. Not every village was welcoming of an outside like this. But their village was and it was the main reasons as to why he stayed. Goto delivered his third delivery and was on his way to his last for the day when whispers of the Prime Minister circulated around the village.
He grunted at the thought. The last thing thing village needed was te Prime Minister himself visiting the Daimyo. He looked back and saw Kanase run back to the inn. He snickered at the younger. He always liked watching the other run, it continued to remind him of the times Kanase ran after him when they were kids. Goto delivered his last delivery and left to return back to the shop.
Kanase was so deep in his thoughts about why would the Prime Minister be here, all sorts of ideas passing through his head yet non was good enough, that he didn't even feel the presence of Goto around. He would usually instantly realize the older boy was around, since they knew each other from a long time, yet this time - he had a bad feeling about the inn, so he had to hurry there.
As soon as he arrived though, he saw a lot of people gathered in the court, in front of the main building, taking a deep breath, yet just before to head forward, someone pulled him by the hand.
"Shh, young master. Please, don't go there now." He saw one of the guys working for them saying, raising a brow.
"What do you mean? I need to go see what's going on. Why are they gathered there?" Kana saw the worried face of the other male, already trying to free himself from his grip. He could hear somebody raising their voice, then a sword being taken out, yet without saying anything, the older male holding him, was just squeezing his hand stronger and stronger.
"Oii, Futamine, what's going on for god's sake?? Where is my father?" The black haired boy asked, widening his eyes a little. Yet in the next moment, he sighed in relief, hearing the other's words that his father was out due to work.
"Then let me go. My mother is there alone. I said let me go, Futamine!" Kana raised his voice and roughly pulled his hand, heading to the people gathered there, just a to see a sword pointing at his mother.
"So, you are telling me that, there is no place for all of us in here? Do you know who that person is?" One of the guards pointed at the Prime Minister. Kanase clenched his fists, pushing all the people aside and standing in front of his mother, the blade almost touching his neck, yet he grabbed it with bare hands, squeezing it.
"Even if it's the emperor himself, this inn is different then any other one. We treat all the people the same here. So, you better search some other place to mess with." Without even thinking, Kana spoke these words out, realizing though a second after what he just said, seeing everybody around him widening their eyes.
"Heh, interesting. Tell me your name boy." The Prime Minister stepped closer, locking his gaze for a second with Kanase. He was indeed not a good person. He could feel that.
Goto made it back to the shop. He found his father in the same spot he had been when Goto left. "The deliveries are done." He called out, announcing his return. His mother came forward as his father just turned his head to look at him. "Welcome back, Goto. That was quick." He sat down next to his father. "Ah, the clients were all home this time. So I didn't have to go out looking for them." Most of the time, when Goto delivered, he'd end up having to walk around the village looking for the clients of the shop. Most of the time it would be the elderly people forgetting that they had packages being delivered.
Goto's mother came to sit down beside her husband as she lay a cold wet towel on his back. "Did you hear, the Prim Minister has come to the village?" His mother always loved to dwell in the gossips of the village. So when he friends came to visit her they would always strike conversations about what was happening. "Ah, the whole village is talking about it." He leaned back as his father twitched from the cold of the towel.
"I'll tell ya! There's nothing good about the Prime Minister coming to visit a small village like us! Keep your eyes open Goto, something bad is going to happen!" His father fought in many wars over the ages. But even after retiring and becoming a shop owner, his thoughts on the government never changing. Goto raised his brow at his father's words. There was nothing more troubling then thinking that Kanase was dealing with the Prime Minister in his own way. Goto stood up, walking out of the shop. "Don't go getting yourself in trouble, Goto!" He could hear his mother call out to him, but only waved her off.
The shop wasn't that far down the main street from the inn. So Goto made it in no time at all. He noticed as he got closer how quiet it was. He looked around, noticing no one was out around here. Which was unusual for the inn at this time of day. When he entered the inn no one was around. In fact it was so quiet even within the shop that Goto started thinking. He began walking down a hallway when a young maid came running past him. He quickly grabbed the young women and asked what was going on. "G-Goto! The Prime Minister is...Kanase is..!" The young woman was unable to finish her sentences, so Goto let her go.
He continued down the hallway where the woman came from and found a small opening in one of the doors. He took peek in and found a large group of men standing behind a man with a sword pointed at Kanase and his mother. His nerves took the better of him and he burst into the room from the side of them. "Kanase! What's going on!" With his deep voice thundering throught the room, all the men turned to him immediately. He glared at the Prime Minister and the sword being held at Kanase. He noticed the blood dripping from the younger's hand as he gripped onto the sword. "Kanase, you..."
Kana stayed all calm even after the Prime Minister began to speak. He didn't care if he was going to be put in a prison for his words, since he knew well enough that speaking like that to someone way above you was the same as signing your own death. Even after knowing that though, seeing the sword pointed at his mother - he wouldn't let it go any further.
The dark haired male thought a second, if he should answer him, though as soon as he felt the sword being moved, even though slightly by the male holding it, he felt a slight pain into his palm, spotting the bleeding, hissing and throwing a small glare at the other one.
"My name is Yokuzawa Ka-..." Just before he could finish though, Kana saw Goto rushing into the room, his eyes widening. What the hell was he doing here? The younger one sighed and shrugged his shoulders slightly as an answer, narrowing his eyes, feeling the wound over the inside part of his hand getting deeper.
"Ugh, everything is... alright, Goto. Just let me... deal with this?" He tried to sound as calm as he could, yet in the next moment, he felt the sword he was holding, suddenly being pulled back, a little bit of his blood spreading around, hearing few shouts from the people who has worked in the inn, even his mother grabbing on his shoulders.
"I am begging you. Don't go any further, hmm? Just leave for now. Go with Goto somewhere. I will try to deal with everything here until your father comes back." Kana heard his mother saying, yet how could he leave like that? He threw a small worried gaze at Goto, as if asking him what should he do, then glaring once again at the Prime Minister.
"You better listen to your mother, kid." He heard one of the Prime Minister's people saying, raising his hand, almost ready to punch him. He couldn't leave like that. They should leave first.
Goto stayed put, knowing that if he rushed in and put up a fight, he would clearly be overpowered. When He heard Kanase tell him he was okay his eyes narrowed from looking at the Prime Minister to looking worried at Kanase. He wasn't pleased with watching th younger's blood spreading over the floor. When Goto watched Kanase's mother stand up and try to pull him away. He decided then, after seeing Kanase's look of advice, that he would cross the room. Goto walked slowly towards Kanase. But so that he wouldn't make the Minister's men worry and stop him, he spoke out as he did so.
"Come Kanase, let's leave this to your mother." He reached out his hand and grabbed Kanase's bleeding hand. He was about to start pulling Kanase out of the room when the Minister decided to speak up. And glared harshly at the man. It was the scariest expression he could have shown anyone, and of course it had to be directed at the Minister. "When did the Prime Minister, a well respected man of Edo start raising his own fists against citizens." He glared at the man, never skipping a beat. "The fact that you took it upon yourself to invade an inn with such violent actions makes me lose any respect I held for you."
Goto Gripped Kanase's hand tighter. Making sure that he remained strong in front of these men. In Goto's actions of standing in front of Kanase, he was also protecting Kanase's mother. He'd never be able to show himself in front of his father if he let his friend's wife and son die without fighting for them. Protecting the village was Goto's job, despite the fact that he determined it by himself. So there was no way Goto would back down so easily, not even against the Prime Minister and his men.
Kana was so not ready to leave yet, he knew that he should, yet how could he do it? He was worried that they could hurt his mother. He was worried that he wouldn't be able to protect the inn, yet once he heard Goto's words, he almost gave up. Kana even made few steps along with the older boy, yet the Prime Minister had to butt in again.
"So after acting all cool, you two are just going to leave? Weren't you supposed to protect the inn, Kanase?" The black haired boy squeezed Goto's hand and tightly, feeling a slight pain hitting him, because of the would, yet he didn't care. He shouldn't care, since he had way more important things to deal with. This guy, he hated him.
What surprised him though, was Goto actually speaking like that to the Prime Minister. He stared at the older one both kinda confused and surprised, yet a small smile appeared for a second over his face. Kana felt the tighter hold of his hand, whispering an all silent "Thank you", so that only Goto could hear it.
For a moment the Prime Minister's people were ready to take out their own swords, yet the minister himself made them a sign not to, slowly making his way out of the house.
"Yokuzawa Kanase, I will remember you." He heard him saying, making an all confused face. "You too, Goto Mitsuhara." After these words, he, along with all his people took his leave.
Goto stayed put, strong against the men in front of him. He felt Kanase squeeze his hand back and whisper a very quiet 'Thank you' that only he could hear. When the the men in the back readied themselves and prepared their hands on their swords, the Minister himself stopped them. Goto had been ready to fight back, to try and hold off as much he could to let Kanase and his mother escape. He was glad when that didn't come.
He watched, still rooted to his spot when the Minister and his men began to leave. Just before exiting the room, the Minister claimed he would remember them for certain. Goto clicked his tongue as the man left. He let go of Kanase's hand and ran to the door they exited, watching as the Minister left out the entrance to the inn. He turned back towards Kanase and his mother.
"How long is the Daimyo going to be gone?" He flicked his head back at the door from behind him. "He needs to know about this right away. For the safety of the two of you." He offered a hand to Kanase's mother, trying to calm her frightening nerves. "Please do not worry. I will protect the both of you." He noticed as staff from the inn came running in to help the madam of the inn. He stepped back to stand beside Kanase. "You," Goto took his hand again. "need to get this checked. Come."
Goto pulled Kanase to the front of the inn and found the small chest they kept bandages in. He told Kanase to sit in the western chair just off to the side against the wall. He found the bandages and knelt down in front of Kanase, grabbing his hand once more. Without a word he wrapped his hand. When he was finished he looked up at the younger. "Your lucky the wounds are not deep. Your an idiot for grabbing a sword like that."
As soon as the Minister and his men left, Kana looked first at Goto, taking his hand back, then at his mother to check how she was, instantly pulling her for a small hug, trying to calm her down a little.
"Mother. Please, don't try to deal with this alone anymore. You have me, who is going to give his life for you and my Father." The black haired boy spoke all silently, pulling back after that, just to see Goto coming back to them.
"I think that he should be here any moment. He went out due to some work, so." He heard his mother explaining, sighing in relief and nodding at the older's words. His father had to be informed about this right away. The bad feeling wasn't leaving him, so he was sure this wasn't the end. Kana couldn't hold his chuckle though, hearing Goto saying he was going to protect them. He was always like that, ready to help them, which Kana himself found kinda cute.
Hearing him speaking though to him again and taking his hand, he tried to disagree, but even his mother pushed him forward, saying that the wound should be treated, sighing and nodding slowly. He was feeling like a little kid, even though he was 20 years old already. Even in the inn, everybody was treating him like that and he didn't like it. He knew how to take care of himself pretty well, yet once again, nobody would hear him.
While having his hand bandaged, Kana was throwing some curious gazes at Goto, from time to time sulking silently, from time to time laughing silently, yet once he heard the older's words, he looked at him and raised his free hand, showing the he was going to hit him.
"I couldn't just stay and watch them point a sword at my mother, okay? So don't you dare scolding me, senpai." As soon as he spoke out the last word though, Kana couldn't help but laughed quite loudly. He was just always finding it funny, whenever he had to call the other like that.
Goto finished wrapping Kanase's hand. And at his words noticed how he raised his free hand, as if he were going to hit Goto. He raised an eyebrow. Would Kanase really risk the onslaught of Goto's anger? Instead the other lowered his hand.
Goto looked at the other as he spoke. Telling Goto that he couldn't just sit there and watch. "No, i suppose you couldn't. But you also didn't have to grab at the sword." Goto still held on to the bandaged hand, examining it. Standing in front of the sword was one thing. But grabbing at it recklessly was another.
If the Minister had had gone and killed his mother and Kanase himself, then he would surely feel the wrath of the village. The Daimyo would have not stood silent if his family was murdered. And Goto would have risked his life to revenge them. Its what he did for the people he cared for.
Even though he was impulsive, Kanase would never risk to hit the older boy. He knew the other was way stronger and also, he knew his place. Even though he was the son of the Daimyo here, he also was just raised by him, so he shouldn't be an all spoiled brat and do whatever he wanted to. Also, Goto just saved their lives, so that was just another reason to not hit him.
Kana sighed and slowly lowered his head for a moment. He knew that the older boy was right, he knew that. Yet if he didn't grab the sword, the other would probably just have been killed him right away. Also, he wanted to show the Prime Minister that he wasn't afraid of him. And that was true. Even if he had to die, he would. As long as his family would be saved.
"You know, Goto. Even if I had to give my life for my Mother, I'd do it. The same goes for Father. I would protect them, no matter what. But... also thank you for wanting to help as well. I am glad we have someone like you here." Finally, Kana raised his head as soon as he finished speaking, smiling a little at the other male. For a moment, he glued his gaze on the other, few memories from when they were younger passing through his head. When was the first time they met though? He tried remembering, while his smile was getting a little bit bigger, remembering how once Goto and him were running around the village, since Kana didn't want to home yet.
These were maybe one of his best times, even though he had to deal with lots of kids, calling him an orphan. Somehow the time spent then, was the best.
"Hey, Goto. Why do you think, the Prime Minister came here?" He asked again, taking a deep breath. The bad feeling was still there, getting stronger and stronger. Something was going to happen - soon.
Goto closed his eyes as he listened to the younger male. The sound of his voice always put him at ease. He knew it so well, that if the two had been tossed in the busy streets and forced to find the other, Goto knew he would have no trouble, so long as the other continued to call out to him. He sighed when the other finished talking. "Im sure they are proud to have such a respective child. But your actions were them. Dont do things that would only cause them pain."
Goto knew he was being unfair to the other. But it was his job to protect the village. How was he supposed to do that if Kanase was the one jumping in front of what he was supposed to be protected from. He looked up at the other. "My father would never let me come home if i had allowed his closest friend's family to die."
Goto released the bandaged hand then, but he remained kneeling in front of Kanase. The other was thinking of something, Goto could tell. When Kanase thought about things he fell silent and had an expression on his face that only Goto knew. Then the younger male spoke out his thoughts. Goto looked down at the ground then spoke. "I dont know why he's come. But according to father it isnt a good thing." He snickered at his old man's words and looked back up at Kanase. "He might be crazy, but hes normally always right about the government."
Kana tilted his head a little aside, just for a second, a small thought crossed his mind: What would he do, if... he had to leave everything? If, there wouldn't be any Goto, any family, but just him? These thoughts though were cut as soon as he heard the other's words. A small chuckle ran out. He was right. He didn't want to hurt them, no matter what.
"You know, sometimes I think you are smarter then me, Goto." Kana spoke the words out, shrugging slightly and letting out another small chuckle. Goto's other words though caught him a little bit off guard. The younger boy widened his eyes a little, yet nodding instantly after that. He was glad such people existed. It was great that Goto, himself, existed.
He peeked at the man in front of him though, slightly wrinkling his brows. So, his father and him had been thinking the same? That was just another thing to worry about. One was, just him, Kana to be having his sixth sense speaking like that, and way other when Goto's father was thinking the same.
"You know, Goto. I also have a bad feeling about this. Listen to me, something is going to happen for sure soon." Kana said with a small sigh following, a second after seeing his father peeking inside the room they were in.
"Oh, here you are, boys."
Goto laughed at Kanase's comment of him being smarter. He stood up, ruffling the hair of the younger. "Well, that's because im older. Ive got five more years of knowledge on you." It felt good to laugh. However the only time Goto truly ever laughed was in front of his own parents or in front of Kanase. Not all of the village was lucky enough to see it. And he rarely smiled in front of others besides those he was helping, and there were some people he didnt always help.
When Kanase brought up the fact of the Prime Minister coming to visit. Goto couldnt help but think it through. He wanted to know why a man of wealth and power would storm his way into a little village such as there's. But it was Kanase's words next that jad him frowning. He looked down at the younger male as he told him, that he himself had a bad feeling. A small shiver went down his spine. Ever since they were younger, Kanase always had this weird sixth sense. He felt things before they ever happened.
When Goto was going to ask just what this bad feeling was he felt, the Daimyo stepped out, addressing them. "Welcome back, Sir." As cold outsiders often thought of Goto, the guy knew when to give respect and who to give it to. The Daimyo was one man he always had respect for. Come on, he took in Kanase without any hesitation. Goto bowed to the man in front of him as he entered the room.
It was indeed rare to see Goto laugh or even smile, yet whenever he was doing it, Kanase was smiling as well. It was good to know that people were feeling good around him, since that's what laughing and smiling meant, right? Yet, when the other ruffled his hair, he puffed his cheeks, whining like a little kid. It wasn't like he was acting like that that often, but sometimes he still had his moments. "Hey now. That doesn't mean anything. I can be also as smart as you!" Kana said all childishly, though that didn't last long. The serious topic once again took its turn.
The younger peeked at the older male, blinking for a second, not really expecting that reaction, but then once again, who wouldn't worry just by the fact that, the Prime Minister is here?
His father bowed his head slightly, rather out from respect as well toward Goto, then looked at his son.
"Father. Welcome back." Kana spoke out, seeing his father stepping closer to both of them, instantly spotting his bandaged hand, a small sigh came out. He was going to be scolded.
"Why did you have to... get involved in this, Kanase? What if Goto didn't come? God knows, what could've happened. You know that I don't want you to be hurt." His father said, as he looked at Goto kinda thankful.
"Goto, thank you for taking care of him." Kana puffed his cheeks again, slightly wrinkling his face and getting up. He knew that everybody was right, yet why should he have to listen to this again and again? He mumbled something, not even answering his father, but just walking out of the room without saying anything else. He could hear his father calling for him, yet he just needed some fresh air. Maybe the forest would be a good idea.
Goto received a bow back from the older man. An action he had on occasion told the man to stop. Goto was no special person to be given such respect. Although Goto was the only one who saw himself that way. Everyone respected him rightfully. He held hand in the air a sign to the older man that there was no need to thank him. "Please, im just glad i got here when i did."
Goto had just finished speaking when Kanase walked out of the room, exiting the inn all together. Kanase sighed as the Daimyo tried calling out to the younger male, only to get ignored. "Please dont worry about that sir. Even in these times he needs to get some air" he looked back out of the in at the door.
"What did you need to talk to us about? If its important i can go get him." Goto turned back to the older man. He didnt come into the room just to scold his son about getting injured. If Kanase didnt want to listen to it now, Goto would. Then later he would relay it to Kanase.
"You are a smart boy, Goto." Kanase's father said and took a sit on the western chair, where Kana, himself, was sitting a second ago. "Actually, the truth is that I am going back to the capital soon. I wanted to ask him to take care of the inn again until I come back. Also, both of you be careful. I, myself, am not informed about the Prime Minister's visit, so I don't think he came here for good." He explained, putting on slightly worried expression. "Please, look after Kanase. I am worried he may do something like what he did again."
Meanwhile, Kanase took his way through the village until he reached the forest. Somehow, he wasn't sure why, but every time he was coming here, he would feel all calm and protected. It was so strange, yet he liked it. The black haired boy walked to one big tree a little bit further, sitting under it and leaning backwards, closing his eyes.
The thoughts about everything that happened the last few hours though kept bothering. As if, everything was a sign for something bigger that was upcoming. Kana, himself, though wasn't sure at all - should he ignore it or should he not?
(Wanna make a time skip? Like few hours or something?)
Goto watched as the older man sat down in the chair Kanase had sat in just moments ago. He saw how troubled the other was and offered an ear. He listened until the man had finished speaking. "Back to the capital, Sir? Can't you at least bring your family with you? I feel both your wife and Kanase will be more protected." He hated to think that the Daimyo was going to leave once more and after finding out of his absence, the Prime Minister was going to return. Not only his father, but Kanase himself, and now even the Daimyo, was worried about his sudden appearance. Goto frowned at how even the Daimyo himself was unaware of the man's visit to the inn.
Goto crossed his arms over his chest and thought. "If you can not take them with you, I will protect them. That you can be sure of." He looked down at the man who had looked up at hearing Goto's words. Even a well respected man like the Daimyo could show worry in front of Goto. And Goto was just a mere villager. He was glad to see that his words managed to put some sort of ease on the man's features.
((That's up to you. Looks like it may be a little better if we did.))
"Unfortunately, I can't. You know, it's just for the Daimyo, who has to go every year and stay there, just to show their respect to the emperor. Also, Kanase doesn't like the capital at all. Thank you though, Goto. You are really a great man." Kana's father said and got up, slightly patting the other boy's shoulder, taking his leave from the room.
Few hours already had passed since Kana left the inn. He didn't even feel when he actually fell asleep under the tree, though when he woke up it was already dark.
"Maybe I should go back.." He mumbled to himself and slowly got up, stretching himself, taking his way back to the inn. It was unusually quiet in the village though, almost nobody was still staying on the street, maybe due to the colder weather or just because it was quite late already. He wasn't sure himself, yet it was better that way. The quieter it was, the better sometimes.
Once he reached the inn though, he saw nobody even walking around again. No, it wasn't possible that... they would possibly have returned? Kana ran straight into the main court, feeling his heart beating faster and faster. This bad feeling, no... it was getting stronger and stronger. His sixth sense was right though. He saw them there... near the tree. The Prime Minister, along with few of his people, was standing in front of his father, holding some paper.
"As I said, Yokuzawa Kanase should be arrested. Where is he?" The Minister obviously repeated his words, making everybody get even more shocked then they already were.
"But what do you mean by that?" Kanase's mother spoke, stepping a little bit forward. Just then though, one of the Minister's people spotted Kana staying all frozen on there, clenching his fists.
"Sir, he is here. Should we bring him to you?" Kana saw them slowly making their way to him, as soon as they got the signal, yet what happened next, was probably one of the last things, he would remember of this night. His father also made his way to him, almost running, trying to protect him, yet... just then the Prime Minister took out his sword and cut through his back. Everything happened for just a second. His father fell on the ground, every single person there, running to him, even the Minister's people stepped back.
Kana also ran to him instantly, trying to believe what did he just see. He fell on his knees, taking his father's body into his arms.
"Father! Father! No, you... you can't die! Please, wait. I will call the doctor, okay? Just..." He couldn't even finish his sentence, feeling his father's palm touching his cheek. "My little Kanase. It's fine. I don't have much left. The doctor won't save me. Just, promise me not to let them catch you. You should find where to hide. Please, Kanase. Run from here and don't come back. No matter what." With these words and his last smile, his father died into his arms.
"No... Fatheeeer!" It happened just then. Kana lifted his gaze full with hatred and sent it to the Prime Minister. All of sudden, everything got all quiet. Not even a single bird was singing anymore, yet just then, an all strong wind appeared. Everybody had to cover their faces, only Kana looking still at the Minister. He clenched his fists and carefully left his father's body on the ground, getting up.
"I will kill you. I swear I will kill you!" He hissed all threatening, making a step forward to the Prime Minister, without even realizing. He was on way to change. His eyes, were the beginning, from blue, getting violet.
"What are you?"
When Goto and the Daimyo had finished their conversation for the night, Goto excused himself. Thanked both the Daimyo and the madam for their hospitality and left the inn. He returned home in time for a traditional dinner his mother had prepared. His father had been sitting against a custom made chair he must have had one of the other shop owners make for him. It looked it was helping with supporting his back while he sat to eat. Goto skipped off his sandals and stepped into the tatami mat home. The house had apparently been in the family since his great grandfather, and even now it remained the same as when he built it. He sat at the table, grasped his hands together and thanked his mother for the food.
After dinner, Goto and his father sat on looking up at the stars after pulling back the sliding walls. His mother finished cleaning up in the kitchen. His father, like always was drinking done a cup of sake while Goto drank a cup of tea. It wasn't that he didn't drink, he just didn't drink unless he needed to. Goto spoke to his father about what he and the Daimyo spoke about and it only made his father wonder as much as Goto himself was. He wished for the man to be able to take his family with him. That way if the Ptime Minister returned, he didn't have to worry about them being harmed. When Goto excused himself for the night, he went to his room where he lay on the futon.
It had been an hour so of just lying on the floor when a sudden gust of wind blew past the house. It nearly shook the whole house. His parents apparently having felt the same thing. He looked out his window. Barely any lights were on in the streets, which was odd for this time of night. It was still very early for people to have closed for the night. It was faint, but Goto could here yelling. Mostly from woman. Worse of it it sounded like it was coming from the inn. Goto's eyes widened before he ran down the stairs, calling out to his parents as he slipped on his sandals and ran out the door.
He hadn't heard what they called back to him, as he was nearly already half way down the street. The one ing Goto praised himself for was his long legs. He was able to get places faster when having a bigger gait then everyone else. When Goto reached the inn he didn't even stop. He ran through the enrtire inn until he burst through the main room where most of the yelling was coming from. When he slammed the door open it took him a minute to figure out what was going on.
The daimyo was dead in the floor, the madam beside him. The Prime Minister was standing behind his men, his men standing with their swords out and pointed at a....a fox with...nine tails. His eyes continued to look around the room, but he couldn't see Kanase anywhere. He ran to the madam, falling to his knees beside her. He looked at the body of the Daimyo and without even searching he could tell the man had been killed. He pulled the madam away from his body. "Where is Kanase!? We have to get the two of you out of here, now!"
Kana felt a bunch of pain inside his whole body. It was like, every single part was burning. It was so painful that it made him scream out, both from the pain and anger he felt. The young male fell on his knees, unable to take the pain anymore, hitting the ground once with his wounded hand, the bandage getting kinda reddish from the blood.
"Youuuu! I... I will kill you!" He kept shouting the words at the Prime Minister, yet just then, just for a second he felt like he is losing his whole vision. He felt like throwing up. Everybody was shouting out for him, everybody until... it happened. His whole hair got white, his eyes kept the violet color, even the color of the kimono he was wearing had changed. The wound he had was no longer there. The bandage just slipped off his hand as he slowly got up. His tails popped all together. It was when he first changed.
"What the hell is that?" Kana could hear the Prime Minister speaking, yet he couldn't understand a word. Just one thing was inside his head at the moment: He killed his father. He killed someone important. He should die.
Just before to make any further steps though, he saw all the swords pointed at him and then... someone entered. He couldn't recognize him. Who was that guy? Was he an enemy? Kana wasn't sure so he just growled once the other came near is mother. Maybe he wasn't.
"Kanase... He... He..." His mother wasn't even sure what to answer Goto. She looked at the creature in front of her, then back at Goto, slightly pointing at the white haired male.
While she did that though, the Minister's men decided to attack. They tried to cut through the fox's skin, yet he dodged all skillfully, using his nails and scratching one of the males, almost leaving deadly scars. Though it was obvious. They wouldn't stop attack. Maybe he should just run? Kana looked one last time at his mother and his father's body. Then at Goto, even though he still wasn't sure who he was, after all, he wasn't thinking at all, then turning to the gates and running out through them. Yet he couldn't just start running through the streets, even in this form, even though being a way different creature, he knew that, though just before to make any longer move, it was when he saw him - an old monk, with a thick stick, stepping in front of him and hitting him with the stick in the stomach, then just taking a hold of him and disappearing.
"He what?! Please tell me!" When The madam was unable to get her words, Goto became anxious. He needed to know what happened to the younger male. Where was he!? Then he noticed she had looked at the creature then looking back at him. When she pointed to the creature, Goto looked with her. That was when he noticed the bandages on the floor. His body shook. In anger? Fear? He wasn't sure. He didn't even know what that creature was. All the madam do was point. Did Kanase get hurt and is lying out in a pool of blood about to die? Was he all ready dead? Or was Kaanse the...Goto's eyes widened. Was Kanase the fox demon?
Suddenly the fox broke out in a fight against the men with swords. In all it looked like it would win, but it suddenly turned, looking at them. Goto tightened his grip on the madam before watching the fox run out the window. He hesitated, but ran over to the window himself. He looked out, trying to see if he could see the creature. Nothing. He continued to look S far as he could, but there was nothing that said the fox was there. Then Goto ran back to the madams side hearing the roar of the Prim Minister's voice. He stood in front of the madam and the body of the Daimyo.
He didn't know why the man was here. He didn't know what the man wanted. But there was no way he was going to let him kill anyone else on this place. And once this farce was over, he had to look for Kanase. Was he really the fox? He shook the thoughts form his mind. For now he had to concentrate on the men in front of him and defend the inn. Then he could worry about Kanase.
The Prime Minister followed every action around himself, unable to believe his eyes. He had heard that in the forest next to the village, there were living mythological creatures, but who would've believed such stories that were told the kids to scare them. Yet he saw it. White hair, nine tails, these eyes. If this thing was not killed, he was in danger. The Minister instantly made a signal to three of his man to go chase after the fox, while he would deal in the inn.
"Goto Mitsuhara. You never fail to appear in the wrong moment, at the wrong place, hmm?" The Minister spoke out with an all ironic tone. He looked at both Goto and Kanase's mother, a small smirk popping over his face.
"Please, leave Goto, Sir. You already killed my husband. You want to kill my son as well. What else do you want to take from me??" Kana's mother spoke between all the tears in her eyes. The Minister looked at her for a little bit longer, then a small chuckle ran out.
"That's right. I've decided. I will make you my mistress. If you agree to that, I will leave Goto leave." He told her all amused to see her reaction as her eyes widened. She looked at the boy in front of her, getting up and gently leaning over his ear. "Please, Goto. Go find Kanase. He... just go in the forest. He... should be somewhere around there. Find him and see what has happened, before them. If they find him first... they will kill him for sure." After these words, she stood in front of him, taking a deep breath and make few steps forward. She turned one last time, peeking at Goto, giving him a small smile, then turning to look at the Prime Minister.
"You can make this happen only if I die." She said all calmly and quickly picked from the floor the sword of the officer whom the fox wounded, stabbing herself with the weapon right into the stomach, instantly splitting a quite big among of blood, a few seconds taking her to fall on the floor, next to her husband - dead.
Goto held his stance, tensing as he glared at the man before him. He watched as three men ran out of he room, out of the inn. They were going after the fox...after Kanase. Goto knew that was him, no doubt in his kind. But he couldn't just leave the madam here alone. He practically growled at the man when he addressed Goto by name. "I only show up when it comes to you, you bastard." He spat at the Minister. Goto knew very well, that using such language with the man would only end up bad for him. But at this point Goto could care less. Then the madam stood, placing her hand on Goto's shoulder, begging the Minister to forgive him. He hated to see the woman beg so, for someone like him.
He didn't have a chance to step away before the Minister was demanding that she become his mistress. Goto's anger grew as he spat at the man again. "Leave the madam alone you bastard! She has nothing to do with this." Unfortunately his words died when the woman leaned against his ear, whispering to him to find Kanase. His eyes widened as she stepped around him, he held out his hand and grasped her wrist. "You can't do this. If Kanase finds out then...." His words died when she removed his hand from her wrist and turned back to the man in front of them. What Goto wasn't expecting was what happened next.
The madam crouched down before grabbing a sword and standing back up. Her words before only made Goto realize more what she meant by them. Suddenly she stabbed herself, hitting an organ, killing her instantly. Goto yelled out, "No!" But it was too late. The madam had killed herself, and now her body lay motionless on the floor beside her husband. "Shit!" Goto spat his words out as he looked at the Minster. He needed to find a way out. The window was still opened, and luckily Goto knew that there was a pile of hay just below it for the horses in the barn. Goto grinned at the man before turning to the window and jumping out.
Goto landed in the hay pile, barely touching the ground below. He managed to get himself out and began running after the three men from earlier. There was no time to get to his house. He ran past it, heading for the outer streets of the village. He was a good runner, fast too. But the men had gotten a good head start before he even left the inn. Goto finally reached the forest in no time. But because of his dead run he was already panting. He looked around. It had been years since he entered the forest, but when they were kids he and Kanase used to come here all the time. Remembering the tree they always sat under, Goto went that way. Hopefully the men hadn't found him yet.
Kana slowly opened his eyes, still unaware of what has just happened. He found himself near the river in the forest, close to the tree he used to be playing with Goto when they were younger. The young male looked around, feeling kinda dizzy. He rubbed his temples slightly, as soon as he stood up though, a harsh pain hit his whole body, making him growl painfully.
"Shh, you shouldn't move yet, Kana." The boy turned around and saw an old monk sitting next to him. Who was he? How did he even know his name? Was he some of the Prime Minister's people? How the hell did he, himself, reach the forest?
"What happened?" Kanase tried to remain still, yet he wanted to know. Everything was blank inside his head. No... wait... the Minister... his father! "That bastard! I need to go back!" The dark haired boy instantly got up ready to leave, yet the monk grabbed his hand.
"Where can you go now? Everybody is searching for you! Do you even know what has happened? Should I tell you? You turned into a monster." After the monk's words, Kana froze on place. He remembered. The pain, similar to before, everything going fuzzy, then... oh god, he probably killed that officer! The young male couldn't bear it. He messed his hair and shouted out of frustration, looking quite angry at the monk, his eyes only remaining of the creature from before staying still purple.
"What the hell am I?" He let the words out, sighing and looking around, as if anything in the forest could tell him.
"A demon fox. And to be exact, nine tail fox." Kanase looked at the other all blankly. Was he joking? He couldn't... be a freaking demon right? No, he couldn't be that! Without even waiting to hear more, he just took his hand back and turned around. He wanted to run. He needed to run. He had to go back no matter what. His mother was still there, right?
Without thinking anymore he started running, though it didn't take him long, until he dashed into someone. Why now? Why was everything stopping him from doing whatever he wanted for once? Though wait... A tall figure, this body... Goto! He looked at the other all both scared and still full with anger eyes not even sure what to say.
