ZdmuGPV.png - But, Mister Shinohara, we forwarded last year an application of the project sample.

- That sample was rejected two times. It wasn't the idea itself, rather the budget you requested. If such a small project reaches a dead-end, how are we to have the guarantee that the loan would be justified?

- I understand and so does the board, but we guaranteed two years of payback and a percentage of the feedback to return to the main branch.

- If ten percents could cover the loan for the first six months, of course there wouldn't be a problem. However, with the share of Mister Boelo involved, I am sure you'd bump into a conflict once the project is released. Our cooperation can't risk a possible dispute.

- Then what are your suggestions, Mister Shinohara?

The meeting was in its peak and different opinions flew left and right. Luis wasn't just a man of the hunt and brutality, during the ages he lived, and of course trained in the clan as the heir, he surely obtained the needed knowledge along with the inborn intellect.

- No. I disapprove that. - Shinohara leaned aback, setting hands calmly on each side of the chair. It wasn't a question of a vampire pride or stubbornness, he really saw the project's flaws. And no businessman in his right mind would agree to a project with flaws.

Seeing that the Shinohara's heir was discontent, the director recalled some changes that Rene, himself, suggested months ago. With the risk to anger Luis, Costa pulled a thin folder from underneath all the papers on the huge desk. All males stared at him sliding the papers to Shinohara's direction.

- Please, check these notes out, Mister Shinohara.

The vampire glanced over the papers, the structure was amazingly neat and even more, all flaws he saw were altered from cons to pros. Luis leaned forth, fully interested in these notes.

.

.

.

- Who wrote that plan?

- Rene Verona, one of my loyal employees, sir.

The vampire reached his hand to flip through the notes.

Each month's feedback turned to monthly bonuses -> 10% of 100 bonuses *10, duplicated by each week income = approx. 100

Each new customer x 100 per month could bring at least X new users which raises the chance of 10% to 20% feedback per month.

- Call that employee of yours here. - Luis continued reading through the papers, rather intrigued with the way that human's mind worked. He was surprised that such a mind did, seemingly, such an insignificant work in the company. Compared to the board of idiots that couldn't even see the flaws, that person has not only pointed them out but also reversed the cons and the pros.

aJPaHk3.pngJust as the elevator door opened he heard his phone ring, cursing under his breath he juggled the stack of reports until he was able to reach his phone.

“Rene Verona speaking.”

He blinked as the voice on the other end was Costa. “Yes Sir....how can I help you....?” he said as he watched the elevator door close. “Ah, no sir, I was just going to drop the reports off to the IT department....” he said as he was asked if he had gone to lunch. “The meeting....? Yes sir....” he said hesitantly as he looked back at the window. “.....Yes sir...I'll be right there.....” he said as he hung up the phone and stared at the meeting room.

Taking a deep breath he held the reports in his arms as he walked to the meeting room. That man was there, but his mind continued to tell him 'Don't worry about it, he just sort of looks like him. It can't possibly be him.....' Reassuring himself of that fact he relaxed as he stopped at the door.

He knocked on the door gently with his knuckles before turning the knob and opening the door. He set the stack of reports down on the empty table and straightened out his suit. He walked over to the Director and stood next to him.

“Gentlemen, this is my trusted associate, Rene Verona.” Costa said with a slight note of pride.

Rene bowed calmly as as he looked up and scanned the room. His eyes paused on Luis for a moment '...No....it can't be....him....It just can't be.....' his mind said as he kept a professional look on his face while his mind became nervous, he remembered the deal he made with the stranger, which made his mind reel. “It's a pleasure, how may I help you today?”

ZdmuGPV.pngBa-dump-dump-ba-dump-dump.

Shinohara's senses were, although blurred out due to the weakened state for one month, still sharp enough to hear the so called employee's heartbeat from outside the room. Once the human walked in, Luis rose his glance to have that startled expression. The room suddenly filled with that awfully sweet scent he couldn't forget.

So the little lamb was even smart, huh.

Luis straightened back and stood up to out-stretch his hand, once again, towards Rene. His lips curved in a calm smile despite the fact that he barely tamed his vampire side down,

- It's pleasure to meet you, Mister Verona. I am Luis Shinohara. - the dark haired male eased his gaze onto Rene.

aJPaHk3.pngRene's mind began to panic again, despite the calm expression he managed to keep. 'Shinohara....son of a.....it is him....' his mind screamed as he made eye contact with Luis. So many things ran through his mind as he stood in front of the man that the stranger told him to forget. 'No....this has to be a test...' he thought for a moment. Yes, that had to be it. If he just remained calm, he would pass.

As Luis stretched his hand out Rene smiled and shook the man's hand firmly. A courteous smile on his face, he took in a slow breath as he bowed his head politely. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well Mr. Shinohara." he said surprised he was able to keep himself so calm.

ZdmuGPV.pngLuis noticed the male's forced smile, the vampire lived long enough to tell sincerity apart from farce and plain acts. The male got slightly ticked off. Surprisingly Rene was quite the actor himself, huh.

The vampire retreated his cold hand before the human could notice the drastic difference in their body temperature. Normally one's skin would warm up after ten seconds of body contact but it wasn't the case with Luis, obviously.

- I reviewed the notes you've made regarding the new project, so I wanted to personally meet the one who reformed the project. May you join us today?

Shinohara's thirst was getting stronger but it wasn't the first time he had to keep his instinct locked. Of course Rene's sweet fragrance was nothing like his father's royal blood. In fact, it smelled even better than it. Luis knew that he couldn't manage long in Rene's presence, so he set a timer himself - ten minutes, and he had to be gone.

aJPaHk3.pngThere was a sudden surge of tension that was felt as Rene retreated his hand, '...did I offend him...?' he thought as it passed. He felt a little sheepish as he stood still. He expression relaxed a bit, to a more natural look. He wasn't sure why he was here and he wanted to leave.

Once he heard Luis express the desire for him to stay, his eyes widened, "I....I'm sorry...wh..what?" he said as he looked from Luis to the Director. Director Costa smiled proudly as he nodded and gestured for him to sit at the empty chair across from Luis. A sudden expression of panic that he was unable to hide washed over him.

He had never been to a meeting, and the fact that he was asked now, shocked him. He looked back over to Luis as he stared at the man's gaze.

'You've been missing him.....now's your chance to interact with him again...'

The voice in his mind frustrated him, but it was right. He had been often caught day dreaming, thinking, even hoping for the possibility to see him again. It was silly to get upset over the very thing he deeply wanted. The panic and shock faded as he gave a more genuine smile at Luis.

"Yes, of course I will." He said softly as he pulled the chair out and sat in it. "Thank you very much."

ZdmuGPV.pngThe vampire took a seat after Rene did so and the conference resumed its flow. Luis officially accepted the drafted idea which Verona has long created and after a few minutes when some additional things were clarified, the vampire glanced to his watch. Barely there but the ten minutes were about to run off, Shinohara quickly instructed Costa to how the procedure with financial aid would proceed and the male rose from his chair.

- Well then, gentlemen, I must apologize but time is pressuring me. - he chuckled; and indeed it was pressuring him. If he spent another minute in that room with the sweet fragrance oozing from Rene, he swore he'd attack him.

Different thoughts span in his mind - would he make it to the exit? It'd be weird if his eyes switched colors out of the blue, wouldn't it? Not to mention if fangs appeared, people might think he's gone mad and was probably cosplaying during meetings. That'd totally ruin his image.

Shinohara grew slightly whiter as his temperature dropped even more.

Ah... I swear...he's like a sweet poison...

Although he really wanted to steal a peek from that beautiful face, Luis tried his best to avoid Rene - even the slightest eye contact could be like a provocation for him to lose it. After a few handshakes with the company members, the vampire reached his hand towards Rene which seemed like a never ending 'deja-vu' for them both.

- I was rather pleased with your idea, Mr. Verona. The company should treasure minds such as yours. - with an exhausted smile the vampire bid his farewell.

- I will escort you to the exit, Mr. Shinohara - Costa couldn't contain himself from happiness, his project was finally approved.

- Ah. Thank you but no need.

- No, I insist.

The vampire chuckled yet inwardly felt like strangling the kind human. It wasn't that he despised his kind only but he wanted to be alone as soon as possible,

- It's really okay, Director Costa.

I need to find the toilet. I'd just call Markus to come pick me up. What is with my luck lately...

aJPaHk3.pngRene was still amazed that he had been invited to stay. He was used to just being the shadow that made The Director look good, who kept everything organized. His ideas and work no matter how detailed or brilliant it was, had never been acknowledged by anyone but the Director, until today. He listened carefully, as they went over the ideas that he had created, the ideas he thought would have been overlooked by everyone.

His violet eyes flickered with excitement and pride as they reached an agreement. The plan had been approved which meant he had successfully done his job again. Another thing that pleased him a lot But something seemed to bother him. The fact that Luis asked him to stay made him happy for many reasons, but during and after the meeting his avoidance was not something that could be missed.

A shadow of depression loomed over him a bit, but he smiled a bit as he shook hands with the man. Perhaps he didn't remember him like he did. "Thank you very much Mr. Shinohara it was an honor to be a part of this." He said honestly. He blinked and smiled a bit at the compliment and bowed his head again.

The expression on Luis' face though, wiped away all of his second guesses as he noticed the man seemed to be very tired. He tilted his head a bit as everyone moved and got ready to leave. The Director slapping Rene on the back a bit vigorously causing him to take a step forward.

"My Boy you are really something! Keep this up and you will make partner some day!" he said with a proud smile.

Rene smiled as he adjusted his suit and nodded, "Aha.....thank you sir." He said as his gaze followed Luis. "Ah. Do you mind if I leave the IT reports here for just a bit. I will be back to get them and deliver them." he said as though he was in a rush.

The proud man smiled and nodded patting Rene roughly on the back again, "Of course my boy, of course! You do what you have to! And remember, don't forget to take a lunch."

"Of course sir." he said as he turned quickly and followed after Luis. 'Something's fishy....' he thought as he quickened his pace to keep up with him.

ZdmuGPV.pngThe dark haired male left immediately, letting the board rejoice. After a few steps he took his phone out to instruct Markus quickly where he was, letting him know he needed blood banks and a pair of sunglasses.

His rushed steps took him to the end of the floor where the toilets were empty, and that's what he was looking for. With a reached hand up he removed his fake glasses to pinch the bridge of his nose. That hunger was something he never knew. It was pushing his body to complete exhaustion just so he'd feed, like forcibly trying to get him attack.

Luis entered the toilet with a span on heel, pushing the doors open. They were automatic, so he didn't bother with closing behind or any additional irritation. The vampire only needed the quiet. If things went well and he managed to stay calm, he'd make it out without scenes.

A clank echoed in the toilet hall where he ran the water to splash his face a few times. He felt like breaking something. It was that destructive power of his, edging his limits so he could become violent. A natural process though, vampires were pushed to exhaustion whereas the power turned into violence so they could attack and feed.

- Haa...

The water drops gently slid down his jawline, the male glanced at his reflection in the mirror. Such days made him aware of how pitiful his kind was. If human's greatest sins were seven, then vampire's sin would be one and only - Deception.

The male glanced to his hand, lifting his sleeve up to uncover the snake tattoo. For the past one month he often thought on that old myth.

He let the sleeves rolled up with the water still running. He needed a distraction even if just some water sound. The male put his hands on each side of the sink, lowering slightly down with eyes close. Just a bit more, he'd make it. He was sure that he'd make it home, then would go to bed and sleep that hunger away.

But then he heard steps his way.

aJPaHk3.pngRene made his way quickly through the work place. 'He's fast....' he thought as he huffed quickly, how he managed to keep up with him he wasn't sure, but it didn't matter. He was hungry, but that hunger seemed to vanish when the surge of energy rushed through him. He had all of his focus on trying to keep up with the man he now had a full name to. He had so many questions he wanted to ask him. He slowed his pace as the murmurs of the workplace turned quiet. The hallway he was in was closed, not like the open office space he worked in He looked back at where he came from before turning around and heading down the hall.

There wasn't a whole lot down here, just some meeting rooms and a bathroom that wasn't used much due to the location. He calmed his breath a bit as he stopped in front of the bathroom door. He wasn't exactly sure why he even followed him at this point. Was he angry, was he happy, was he just wanting to see if the man was ok, what was he even going to say? He wasn't sure at all, the only thing that was sure, was he didn't want this opportunity to pass with the few words that were exchanged between them.

He took a deep breath as he straightened his suit out and pushed open the door slowly. “M...Mr. Shinohara...?” he said as he peaked around the door. “Is everything alright?”

ZdmuGPV.pngThe steps paused before the doors and Luis slid his eyes half open, staring at the sparkling clean sink. He could very well tell there was someone, and he knew who he was. Point was though, what he was supposed to do now? In his current state he didn't know how he'd handle Rene.

The male glanced to the side in the windows' direction but who on earth would come up with such a design?! The windows couldn't even let a darned cat escape what left for him to sneak out.

M...Mr. Shinohara...? Is everything alright?

The soft voice echoed gently in the toilet hall. Luis slid eyes close and his jaw clenched - Damn it, why humans had to be so curious and troublesome?

The vampire took a breath and calmed himself down as much as possible,

- Yes, I am. I am sorry for the inconvenience and how hurriedly I left. - Shinohara shifted around, reaching hand to stop the running water, - Is there something you need me for, Mister Verona?

aJPaHk3.pngRene bowed his head apologetically he tried to come up with a reason to talk to him quickly. He had so many personal things he wanted to ask him, but considering where they were and how public it was, he kept himself from doing so. “I just wanted to ask......how did you come to see and appreciate what I proposed....?” he asked as he continued to try and keep the conversation going.

He rubbed the back of his neck a bit as he continued, “I mean....I've been working here for so long, and you're the first to ever notice, or even appreciate the work I put in to making sure everything works smoothly.....” he said. “I mean, other than Director Costa...”

It was true, all the years he had been there no one even said anything about what he did to make things fair, and smooth for everyone involved. The Director did, but it usually ended with some of his ideas being scrapped for whatever reason the rest of the members felt. The Director actually urged him to continue, because the things that did manage to get pushed through made the company better and more successful.

“That was my first board meeting as well....” He bowed his head a bit as he backed towards the door, “I just wanted to say thank you for including me. It was very informative.” He gave a soft sigh before getting to his final question. “I know you're busy, so I won't keep you, but.....” He paused a bit as he debated on whether or not to really do it. With a blink he decided to take the shot. “I would like to go to lunch with you, when you have time, or dinner if that's more convenient. If you ask Director Costa for my cell number, he'll give it to you. Thank you again.” Rene bowed politely before he turned and slowly opened the door to leave.

ZdmuGPV.pngThe vampire listened to the male in silence. It wasn't that he didn't want to talk to the male, his whole being was hanging on a single thin thread. And if that were to snap, he really didn't know what he'd do. Luis has never felt such a hunger, moreover, he never had the urge to feed on a human.

The human's words got all scrambled for Shinohara's ears, he barely could tell what Rene was talking about. There went his focus. Luis slid eyes close once again with back turned at Venora.

I know you're busy, so I won't keep you, but.....I would like to go to lunch with you, when you have time, or dinner if that's more convenient. If you ask Director Costa for my cell number, he'll give it to you. Thank you again.

- Thank you. I will keep that in mind. - his voice softened despite the deep and low pitch, Luis didn't want to keep Rene around. Not right now, so the wisest thing he could do was to shut any possible doors open for a long conversation.

Once the human left, the vampire opened his eyes. The reflection of the mirror drew the beautiful and pale features but the blue color was long gone. His golden eyes glowed gently. It was close, really close. In fact, he wanted to rush after him and pin him down.

Where was that darkned Markus?!

aJPaHk3.pngRene paused after he had walked a few steps away from the bathroom, he had a sudden urge to go back, but he didn't want to annoy the man who seemed to have something on his mind. He sighed as he shook his head and continued to walk down the hall towards the meeting room.

'No, you said what you wanted, he knows how to get a hold of you if he wants.' He thought as he entered the now silent and empty room. “Yeah....if....” he muttered to himself as he picked up the reports. The statement made him laugh at himself, 'What are you even hoping for.....?' he thought as he left the room, making his way back to the elevator. 'Stop acting like this....you aren't a teenager....'

As he waited for the elevator he laughed at the thought, what was this desire, why did he want to talk to him so bad, why did he go out of his way to chase him? Why was he so different from anyone else he's met? He blinked out of the string of questions as the elevator dinged, and opened it's doors. He walked in and pushed the button for the floor he wanted.

'You're just tired, and hungry....' he nodded to himself as though that was the reason, 'Just finish this and get yourself something to eat....'

He leaned against the wall of the elevator, and let out a heavy sigh. 'So....he's the one who runs this company.....'

ZdmuGPV.pngFifteen minutes spent in agony. He even considered biting himself in order to calm the hunger. Not like it'd help but at least it would save him the 'madness'.

The doors finally opened and he sensed Markus.

- Sir!

- You took your sweet time. - Luis turned around, his slit pupils staring forth.

- Ah... - Markus quickly opened the dark bag to take out the banks. - I will guard the doors, Sir.

The vampire took a bank and tore the opening to lift it up for a long drink. His thirst was impossible.

I can no longer...tolerate his presence. I should avoid him at any rate.

Luis glanced to the sunglasses left on the sink's surface and adjusted them on. He packed everything back in the bag and walked out the toilet hall.

- We are leaving.

- Sir? But are you done?

- Don't question me.

- I understand.. - Markus lowered his chin, fully aware that a probable meeting with Rene occurred. So the human worked here? The order from Luis' father suddenly replayed in his mind.

If you are to find that human, make sure to have them spend time together. Even if you are to lock Luis with him.

aJPaHk3.pngIt wasn't long after finishing the delivery of the reports and hearing a few more kudos from his co-workers about the deal being accepted that Rene found himself at a nearby cafe for lunch. His hardly touched sandwich laid on the plate, a cup of tea sitting beside it with the steam rising into the air.

Rene remained in a state of daydreaming and thinking, his chin resting in his hand as he stared off into space. He had everything and nothing on his mind. Something that seemed to cause him to just stop completely. The clock was ticking on his hour long lunch, but despite his initial hunger, he now sat still, with no desire to eat.

'You will need to eat that you know....otherwise you're going to pass out.'

The lids of his eyes lowered a bit as his gaze shifted down to the food below. He let out a heavy sigh, his whole body becoming heavy in that one breath before he returned his gaze to the sky. 'I will....just give me a few minutes....'

x After Markus made sure his master made it safely to the estate he quickly reserved the driver for another round. If his intuition was right, then he'd most certainly meet that human in the company his master was today. The foxy secretary schemed up his plan on his way to Avora Ltd.

- Stop here and don't wait for me. I can't enter the company without a pass but I plan on waiting here until tonight. Hopefully I am not wrong about it.

- I understand. Do you wish me to call someone to pick you up later?

- No need. And remember, no word about that in front of Luis.

- I know.

- Ah... - Markus paused with the car's door open midway, - If Luis asks about his schedule tomorrow in case I am not back by midnight, tell him that tomorrow he's got a day off.

- A day off?

- Yes, a day off.

- Got it. - the driver nodded lightly and waited for the man to get off.

Once Markus was out the car he headed for a nearby cafe-bar. It'd be too suspicious if he spent the next hours in front of the company's building.

aJPaHk3.pngAfter spending half his lunch daydreaming, he finally ate and made his way back to the office. The rest of the day was spent working on some of the mindless work he saved for the end of the day. Errands that the Director wanted done, quick reports that he saved for when he finished the items on a deadline. Everything that he could do quickly, and weren't flagged as important he spent the rest of the afternoon doing.

At the end of the day he stared out the window as the sun was setting, bathing everything in gold and orange. The workers outside his office trickled out as their days were ending. He sighed as he finished the spreadsheet he wanted to finish when he heard a knock on the door.

"Come in." he said as he continued to type.

"Rene, isn't it time for you to head out?" said the familiar voice. He looked up to see the Director.

"Ah yes Director Costa, I will be leaving once I finish this spreadsheet." He said with a smile.

The Director shook his head again and smiled. "Such a hard worker, finish that and save the rest for tomorrow. You've done a lot already today."

Rene blinked and smiled a little as he nodded, "Yes sir, thank you sir. I will Sir." he said softly.

The man closed the door behind him as Rene turned to read the spreadsheet, checking for any errors, or anything he missed.

Knock Knock

He sighed as another knock came, "Come in..." he said softly, wanting to finish this.

"Hey Ren!" said a familiar voice as the man peeked from behind the door.

"Alex....Hello." he said with a tired smile.

"The rest of us are going out to the bar down the street! Want to join us?"

Rene smiled and shook his head as he leaned back in his chair, "I'm going to have to pass this time....I'm just really tired, and I don't think I would be good company right now." he said softly. Alex's smile faded a bit but remained understanding. He nodded as he stood in the doorway.

"Alright, next time then!" His friend said as he left the office.

Rene sighed again as he nodded approvingly at the completed spreadsheet. 'That looks good, Hopefully he will approve of it.' he though as he saved the file and shut his computer down. He stood up and stretched before grabbing his suit jacket and slid it on. Gathering the rest of his things he turned off the light to his office and left.

He was still debating on what he wanted to do when he got out, did he want to go somewhere, go for a walk, or just head home. He kept going over his choices as he leaned against the wall and waited to hit the bottom floor.

Once the doors opened to the elevator, he pushed himself off the wall and headed out to the foyer, making his way to the doors.

X The colors painting the buildings in the neighborhood kept changing with each next hour passing, and Markus probably drank his fifth Irish coffee. In fact he thought of ordering one more but the bartender was lifting brows on the fourth glass, wondering how come the middle aged man didn't even mess up his speech or at least get a bit tipsy.

The vampire leaned aback, glancing at his watch. It was near ten o'clock and the regular cafe-bar was almost empty. Figures though, most of the people have already left work and if anything are either long way down the path to getting drunk or at home having dinner with their families.

Markus started wondering if he were wrong about his guess. But his master looked just like a month ago. He needed nearly a week to get a hold of his powers and resume his daily duties. Besides if Luis' father, Dymitrii, knew about it, he'd either send Markus to convince the human to meet with Luis or would go there and drag the mortal by force. The male wasn't one to do well with verbal conviction so he often used force. That made Markus roll eyes - 'like father like son'.

Just when he was about to order something else he caught a glimpse of Rene passing out the huge doors. It seemed he worked over time. Not wasting much of time the vampire took out his wallet and left the cash onto the table. He hurried outside to catch up with Rene which, for a vampire, wasn't hard to do.

- Excuse me, sir. - rose he voice slightly not to startle the other.

aJPaHk3.pngRene stretched as he got outside, it was cooler now than when he had gone out for lunch. Something he enjoyed a lot. He checked his watch as he made his way down the street. He had stayed longer than he expected but the overtime was always helpful. Plus he managed to get everything in his pile done today. That always made him happy because it meant the morning he could relax a bit until something else came up.

'Hmm....what should I do?' He thought as he tried to figure out what he wanted to do about dinner, 'Eat out....take out....make something.....' He sighed as he looked at his watch, 'Too late to cook really....' he thought a bit, 'Maybe I'll just grab something on my way home.'

Excuse me, sir

His debate with himself was stopped when he heard a familiar voice. 'What...?' he stopped in his tracks.

He turned around quickly, his eyes widening as he came face to face with the stranger from that night. "You!"

X The male paused his steps once Rene turned to throw the drastic recognition, "You".

'You' he said...

Markus drew his diplomatic smile on lips and nodded as a greeting,

- We meet again, sir. I am actually Mister Shinohara's secretary. - he felt the need to officially introduce himself. Of course anyone would be irritated after being told off and then you go stalking them.

The secretary continued calmly,

- I am sorry to waste your time, but today my boss had a meeting at Avora Ltd. He seemed extremely pleased with the outcome. So I came to specially invite you tomorrow's night to his birthday party. It is nothing fancy though - Markus hurried to assure the human, - just a quiet night and..dinner.

The male reached for his coat's pocket to take out the business card which looked rather like a black VIP card but still presented the information of where Shinohara's estate was located.

- Here, sir. - politely he passed the card forth.

aJPaHk3.pngRene kept his distance from the man, his arms crossed as he stared at him. 'Now he's following me? What to make sure I say nothing!?' He thought with a sigh. He fought the urge to lash out verbally, instead taking his more professional behavior and listened to what the man had to say.

"Secretary...?" He said after the introduction, "I see..." he said softly as it became clear as to why he was protective of Luis. 'That explains a lot.' He blinked as the man continued, "Eh? He told you about that?" He said a bit embarrassed that word about what happened seemed to spread. Attention was not something he wanted, but it did sometimes come with the work he did, while infrequent, he still tried to avoid it as much as he could.

He stared at the card that the man held out to him, he slowly took it and looked at it. It was a classy card, he had to admit, 'How fitting....' he thought as he tilted his head slightly. He looked back at the man and sighed quietly as he slid the card in the breast pocket of his suit. "I'll be there." he said finally, "Just tell me what time please......." He paused as he didn't know the man's name, "What was your name? Also....what...should I get him for a present?"

X Once the human heard that Luis had talked about the today's meeting, which obviously was a bluff, he seemed somewhat embarrassed yet happy. It reassured Markus that it wouldn't be so hard to draw these two closer...at least not so hard on Rene's part. He was slightly worried about his master but right now he had to deal with the human.

I'll be there. Just tell me what time please....What was your name? Also....what...should I get him for a present?

The vampire felt odd having such a casual conversation with a human. That person before him, despite the elegance, could well enough use speech as a way to shorten the social distance. However, Markus didn't want to sound disrespectful due to his vampire pride so he tried to keep up with the conversation.

- Ah, yes. You can call me Markus. - the secretary nodded agreeably and picked on the next question, - You don't have to bring anything, actually. Though my boss is fond of red wines. - he smiled, recalling the collection in their estate. It was actually a hobby for Luis to collect wine sorts, from all over the world.

Markus straightened back, using the body language as a hint that he had to leave.

- The party is to start though after nine o'clock at night. I shan't keep you busy, sir. So I will be going. - the male bowed his head lightly to bid his farewell but as he was to leave he paused, - Ah, sir. It might be rather unexpected but are you a strict believer? You see, - Markus made an excuse for the weird question, - ..Shinohara's are non-Christians and they don't like anything to do with the Christ.

aJPaHk3.pngRene nodded as he he heard the name, 'Markus....' he thought, his mind filing the name away. He kept his arms crossed but relaxed his stance as he at least had a name.

He paused as he tilted his head a bit, “Red wine?” He muttered softly, nodded a bit. He watched the man curiously and brought out his cell phone. He pulled up the calendar and opened an event, “Nine o'clock, ok.....” He looked up as the man turned to leave.

He slid the phone in his pocket as he turned to leave himself. He paused as the man asked the final question.

Ah, sir. It might be rather unexpected but are you a strict believer? You see,

*..Shinohara's are non-Christians and they don't like anything to do with the Christ.

He blinked and turned around looking at Markus, The question was definitely odd, it was not something that came up in conversations. He shook his head slowly as he spoke, “No sir....I haven't even stepped into a church since....” He frowned a bit as he decided to change what he said, “I haven't even been to church in seven years.” he said softly.

X Once Markus got the answer he needed, he smiled politely and nodded chin,

- Then there won't be any problem. - said so, he excused himself once again and left. If he was missing for too long it'd make Luis suspicious. And the last thing Markus wished was for his master to run away.

If Rene was the human who'd cure Luis' fear of mortals, then the secretary was ready to sacrifice even his position - and known fact was, vampires rarely step off the pride. With his mood soothed, the vampire headed back to Shinohara's estate. Now the next part of the plan came - how to trick Luis. It was as hard as to steal from a thief. Luis himself knew the finesse of tricking and bluffing. If Markus gave him even the slightest doubt that something was fishy, all would be ruined.

Then again, the good part was that his master was weakened due to the meeting with Rene. At least he could use that as an excuse to order Luis around. Markus kept nodding to himself as walked back home.

It should work.
