Servamp TV Anime Scheduled for Summer, July 2016

It is first announced on one of the cover of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Gene magazine that vampire shoujo manga Servamp, will be getting an anime adaptation by Strike Tanaka in July 2015. It is first published on June 2011 in Comic Gene magazine and up to now, there are about nine volumes of the manga being published by Media Factory on December last year 2015.

 

Later on, on Servamp Special Event in January 2016, this year, held on Sunday at the Japan Education Center in Tokyo, further confirm the airing date of Servamp TV anime, which is from July 2016.

Synopsis

The story revolves around a 16-year-old boy (15 at the beginning of the story) named Mahiru Shirota who likes simple things and dislikes difficult things. One day, he picks up a stray black cat he finds in the middle of the road and gives it the name Kuro (which literally translates into "black"). From this moment on, a contract between the servamp Sleepy Ash and Mahiru is formed, and Mahiru is pulled into the Servamp war between the seven deadly Servamps and their eighth sibling Tsubaki.

 

The staff contains two of the reunited members of Aoharu x Machinegun anime, with Itto Sara, who previously served in a supervisory position in Aoharu x Machinegun, will now serve as chief director in this new production.

There are altogether 3 drama cds, two were released and one other is going to be released at late april next month. There is no change in the cast members voicing the characters in the drama cds as compare to those who would be voicing the characters in the TV anime series.
