Tate stopped himself from jogging up to the front of the group. And looked back at Hiro.

"Ah that's right. You know, it already feels like you have been a part of the pack since day one."

Tate rubbed his nose against Hiro's pelt.

"It's easy. I'll chase after the prey. The brothers will lead it to a excluded spot away from its herd. You and Rein will catch it there and I'll join you soon after."

Hiro not quite understanding but he had enough of an understanding to hopfully do yhis correctly, stay with Rein help Rein catch it. Thats all he needed to remember , he didn't like being seperated from Tate but he had to tolerate that so the rest of them could eat.

Hiro watched as Tate ran off once again after explaing getting ready to move into postion and act.

Tate chuckled and tapped his tail against Hiro's side. "Just follow Rein and follow your instincts. You'll do just fine."

Tate went back to the front of the pack and just before gathering his hunters for the hunt he started their traditional hunting song. As soon as he started the pups started and soon the brothers then Rein, soon the whole pack were joining in the triumphant call of their song.

Hieo stumbled and fell into mud after loosing his balance but quickly rejoined the group, Hiro was more like a pampered house pet then a wolf but he was trying his best at the least.

Upon watching the others began to howl Hiro watched in confusion unsure of what to do or what they were doing.

Tate looked back at Hiro and noticed his slight confusion. While the others continued the song, Tate came back to Hiro's side and let out a joyous howl as he stood next to Hiro. It was as if he were saying 'Come Hiro! Sing with us!'

Hiro watched as Tate went over to his side a little more confused then before, suddenly the other let out a joyful howl catching Hiro off guard causing him to jump slightly. Soon enough Hiro caught on and began to howl along with the pack although his howl sounded more like a wailing pup then a fully grown wolf.

Tate was understanding of Hiro's background. So the fact that his howl wasn't at the level of the other wolves didn't phase him at all. In time Hiro would learn to howl like them, just like the pups would as they grew older.

Soon the song died and the hunting party was all but ready to start their hunt. Tate stepped back up to the front and without a moments noticed bounded away. The brothers followed at a little slower of a pace so that they could give Tate time to find and hunt the prey towards them. Rein looked back at Hiro.

"Just follow me and you'll do just fine." Then she too followed at a slower pace to find the spot she knew well to catch the prey off guard.

Before Hiro knew it Tate had bounded away and was on his way to find something to prey on.

Not being alone was a bit of a comfort for Hiro, upon arriving near a good spot to capture the prey Hiro began to speak.

"Should I wait in the same spot as you or slightly apart?" Hiro questioned wondering if it would be better in case if the prey saw Rein.

"I don't want to disappoint anyone." Hiro said softly knowing that he'd feel horrible if they weren't able to bring home food for the pups

Rein found herself in a good spot to throw off the prey. Here she and Hiro would wait for the others to chase into their path. Upon reaching the spot she heard Hiro's soft voice call over to her.

"See that patch of brush a ways ahead of this path? Go ahead and hide yourself amongst there." She pointed her nose towards the brush she mentioned.

"If the prey find my scent and evade me here, they will have no chose but to run straight into you."

Hiro nodded and ran off and hid in the nearby bush that Rein had pointed out, Hiro was worried about not being able to catch the prey if they managed to evade Rein. Hiro has in his thoughts thinking about multiple scenarios that could take place in the given situation.

Tate had caught the sent of the water bison and licked at his muzzle. He could smell the others scents that told him they were in position. Luckily the wind was in their favor and wasn't blowing anywhere towards their directions. Tate crept along the forest wall before finding himself a juicy injured bull. An older bull too. So it wouldn't give them to much of a fight. As he pinned out a good strategy to separate the bison from the herd his actions went into play. Soon Tate was chasing the bison from the open field straight back to the forest where the brothers waited in turn.

Hiro watched in the distance as Tate began to chase...what looked like a bison or a small moose from where he was standing obviously hurt by the way it was running although Hiro felt as if he didn't need to stay focus he fought himself to keep from becoming to full of his team mates, no one was perfect and often wolves hunted in group for a reason, plus the animal could easily trample one of the members of the group if one of them or himself lost focus.

Tate chased the bison into the forest and just before entering the tree line dodged a kick in the air by the large beast. Tate snapped at the hind legs of the bison and just as he past the mark, the brothers burst from the brush and chased it down on either side as Tate followed from behind. It wasn't long before the bison was coming up on Rein and Hiro's spots. The three slowed down, allowing the bison to think they gave up. Then Rein burst forth and chased the bison past Hiro's spot behind the brush.

Hiro wasn't sure if he was supposed to chase after the bison at this point but he did, luckily the bison had began to tire so by the time he caught up Hiro was able to launch himself at the bison sinking his teeth into one of the legs latching on as he began to bite, kick and scratch away at it not sure what else to do.

Rein caught a glimpse of Hiro as he left his own spot and chased after the bison. When Hiro latched himself on to the bison's leg, Rein jumped up and latched onto the hide of the bison. The bison was tiring, but it was still putting up a fight. The brothers found their way to the bison and too lathed hold of its hide. Tate was the last to join and chose the leg he found was injured while he hunted it down.

Hiro found it amazing to watch everyone join in bringing the bison down with every single wolf that

joined the bison slowed more and more until finally went Tate took hold of one of the other legs causing the bison to fall unable to move on further. Once the bison stopped struggling and was obliviously dying Hiro backed off the bison.

The bison fell and to Tate's surprise it was faster then he had anticipated. As soon as the large beast was lying on its side, Gavin given up in its fight to survive the other wolves backed away from the bison just as Hiro had as well. They took custom in letting the alpha make the finishing blow when the chance was given. Luckily that chance was given this time around. When the bison finally drew its last breath Tate took the first bite swallowing chunks of meat to hold in his stomach for the pups. Normally it would be the den mothers job, but Tate took the job over as his own. He stepped back after managing to rip off a leg for himself for later. After he emptied his stomach for the pups. Rein and the brothers waited patiently for their turn, which would come after Tate gave his approval. Until then they would wait.

"Come Hiro. You have the next." Tate gently called to him.

Hiro waited for his turn to gather meat for himself he pulled a rather small chunk off of the upper thigh of the bison before they headed back, Hiro had brought himself a small chunk of meat back and was eating that since he felt bad since he had been eating a lot more then usual since his leg had healed fully and he was more active.

Tate noticed Hiro's slight intake of meat. And after the brothers and Rein had had their share, Tate made sure to get them to bring something back for him. Eating so little when living wildly wasn't good for ones health. When the task was done they all left for the den again. As soon as they were there Tate began to chuck up the meat he had swallowed for the pups. Soon they were crowding around and eating the meat. Tate sat down near them and ate his own leg of meat he brought back. Lou dropped the other leg he brought back for Hiro. "Hiro, come eat some more."

Hiro had lied down off to the side a bit after eating so he was surprised when he suddenly had a leg dropped in front of him.

"Oh... thank you." Hiro stated before eating a bit more slowly and gradually over time although he wasn't able to finish the whole thing so he scrapped of the extra and placed it in the pile keeping the bone t sharpen his teeth on.

Tate was glad Hiro ate a little more. He still wished he'd eaten a little more, but he wasn't going to force the other to eat. Tate finished his own leg, meat and bone and licked his muzzle. He came to lie beside Hiro as he played with his leg bone. Tate watched as the pups, having finished up their food now played around the entrance of the den.

Hiro let go of the bone upon seeing Tate sit next to him.

"I think I did ok my first time hunting I didn't break anything or let it get away." Hiro didn't want to nag on about it but he had t admit that he was a little proud of himself. returning to the bone he flopped himself a bit closer to Tate before resting a bit.

Tate gave Hiro a smile as he rested his head in between his paws as he watched his pack laze around. "I have to admit it too. My first hunt was a whole lot clumsier. I always lost the meal and it wasn't until my third hunt that I managed to figure things out." His smile widened just a bit as he felt Hiro's warmth beside him. He moved his head a little closer and closed his eyes as he listened to the sounds around him.

Hearing that from Tate made him feel a lot better about his first time hunting.

"I was wondering...is there any-other packs around that I should be worried about?" Hiro was a bit curious about the woods and how they were split up between packs since he knew that packs didn't like to share territory.

"Other then the wild dogs which I know to stay away from by personal experience."

Tate's smile dwindled just a bit as he took in Hiro's question. He thought a moment before lifting his head up and looking over at Hiro. "There's no general packs that surround our lands besides one. To the east," he said as he looked over the hills that lady into a deep valley. "There's a pack that resides in the valley. Other then that, the nearest pack lives on the other side of the mountains to the north." His ears twitched. "You might encounter a lone wolf from time to time between our boarders. But that's it."
