It's a bit disheartening but if you see how dedicated and resolved Armin is just to achieve that situation in order to get a hold of the colossal titan, you'll admire him more but your heart will break too. One of the bravests there is but we have to admit that most of the Scouts are brave souls. Also if you will read the last I guess, two or three chapters, it's more like a suicide mission, which is basically what they do most of the time but this time you can feel that we're almost there.
