Name: Naoki Onoe

Age: 20

Height: 190 cm / 6'3''

Weight: 72 kg / 159 lbs

Hair: Blue

Eyes: Blue

Position: Seke

Race: Human

Powers: Earth / Plant magic

Personality: Naoki is a smart, soft-spoken talker, weaseling his way out of difficult situations. That is what he is - a weasel. He's the mischievous type and is also an incredible tease, despite remaining celibate his entire life.

Likes: Gardening, flowers, flirting, playfully messing around with others

Dislikes: Sex (more of a fear than a dislike), people who mistreat nature, dogs

Minibio: He started training to become a monk when he was four years old, setting off to refine his magical abilities and study as a monk on his own when he turned sixteen. From then on he was by himself, but soon after his twentieth birthday he decided to return to the mountains and to his old friends.

It was a long journey, but the young monk finally made it back to his old home up in the mountains. "Mm, it's been a long time," Naoki murmured, blankly staring up at the temple he used to reside in. It had been four years, to be exact. He expected things to be more or less the same when he returned, as the temple was a little 'out there' in terms of where it was located. That was a good thing, really - Naoki preferred to be separated from the rest of society and becoming a monk allowed him to do it. Now, there were still a couple cons in the eyes of some - no sex or keeping worldly possessions - but the young monk didn't find issues with being unable to carry out these acts. While he was curious about sex and would continue to be, he would stay true to what he has been for sixteen years of his life.

As he reached the temple, Naoki was quickly greeted by another one of the monks, urging him inside once Naoki told him he was going to stay.. this time, for good. Once in plain sight of many people within the temple, the monks began to flock towards him. 'Was I truly that popular..?' Naoki thought with a small frown. He knew the only reason why they found him more significant than the other monks was that he had the ability to manipulate the earth, to out of nowhere sprout flora from the soil. Naoki wanted it to be because of his good personality, his way with words, but no - it was his powers that made him notable.

"A year after you left, we took in this boy who is today around your age.. he can use magic as well. He showed as much promise as you did when you left, Naoki.. perhaps you'll be able to meet him today," a monk told Naoki, leading him around the temple as the crowd dissipated. His words intrigued the young monk, beginning to have him wonder what sort of magic he could perform. He didn't think much of it, however, wishing to focus on the little tour or recap of the layout of the temple.

Yoshi sighed and turned on his belly, his feet moving in the air. The day was beautiful so he was now laying on one of the branches and let the rays of sun warm up his small body. The surroundings of the temple were quite peaceful so there was no need to be overly cautious. That was also one of the reasons he stayed here. Other than the fact he wanted his own territory, giving him a little bit of privacy. The monks had also a lot of interesting books. After the first three years he left for a bit but was back and now decided to stay for good. Even not being a monk he could stay here so it was quite convenient. He could also help some of the people that sometimes came to the temple for help.

The shifter sneezed and rubbed his nose. It was one of the rare days he was all lazy and slow. The days like that he spend on sleeping, thinking and practicing his magic. Doing small tricks with it to amuse himself. His eyes were closing again when he heard someone was coming. His long, white ears perked up as his emerald eyes looked curiously in the right direction. His senses were really sharp so he was able to sense someone much before he could see him.

"I'll take it from here.. your guidance has been useful and is appreciated," Naoki spoke to his fellow monk with a light smile, touching the other's shoulder with his left hand. In response the monk nodded, leaving Naoki to himself. The young man let out a long, quiet sigh of relief, eager to roam through the temple all on his own. Perhaps he would meet this person the monk told him about, but he was not given a name or even a physical description. He supposed he would just walk around and talk to absolutely everyone he isn't familiar with.. not that he really wanted to.

Naoki had entered several rooms before he spotted some figure within a tree, a tree which had over time grown its roots into the temple and spread beyond its walls. He remembered it, having fond memories of it from years past. The young monk would often rest within its branches and bloom all sorts of plants that didn't belong on it. He was relieved to find that most of the 'marks' he left on it were still there.

"Have you been treating this tree well?" Naoki asked the figure who laid on the branch, kneeling down by the tree's trunk and pressing his palm onto its bark. "You have.. that's good." Naoki took his hand off the tree, making a pretty little blue begonia sprout and bloom from where he touched. The young monk looked up at the branch, noting the white, soft-appearing fur. "My name is Naoki Onoe.. you may have heard of me through the words of some of the other monks. I was told that someone here is capable of performing magic.. is that you? I'm hoping you're the man I'm looking for.. honestly, I'd rather not get up and walk any longer. I've grown very.. ah.. tired, traveling up to this mountain," Naoki said, his voice as warm and soothing as it's been for years.

All the strange flowers and plants growing here and there were exactly one of the reasons that Yoshi liked to lay on it. Also the wide branches were quite comfortable to lay on them, at least for the small shifter. And there was so much leaves that they were giving the total feeling of privacy. Seeing the stranger Yoshi tilted his head. For few moments he was surprised but then smiled and nodded. With few quick moves he got off of the tree.. only to trip when walking on the ground. The shifter never was clumsy on the trees yet the ground was an entirely different story. At the last moment he was able to regain his balance back. Outstretching his hand Yoshida smiled.

"Yes. That's me. I'm Yoshida Azamaya, the snow squirrel shifter", he said and then shook the other's hand. "I've heard of you, of course. Your powers are kind famous between monks here and some of the youngest residents are treating as a hero, you know? Though they didn't lie when saying you're really big~"

His lazy mood changed into a bit more excited one.. still it was far from his usual hyper self.

"Sooo.. no one couldn't tell me when I asked.. why did you get off at the first place? After all this temple is such a peaceful and safe place?", he asked curiously.

Naoki let the shifter shake his hand, his lips parting slightly as he listened to his words. His brows furrowed as he responded, "So I'm a hero now? I don't know what I did to achieve that title, but.. I can't stop people from thinking that, now can I? Also, I think 'tall' would be the more appropriate way to put it. I don't like the word 'big' for some reason. Maybe I'm a little too humble for my own good."

The young monk scratched the back of his neck, grunting a little as he stood to his full height. He leaned his back against the tree, looking past its leaves and into the sky. "Why did I leave? That's a good question. I've been trying to come up with a complete answer for a while and I think I've found it. I guess that I just wanted to be by myself for a while. While I was gone, I was able to see many parts of nature that I have never come across at this temple.. like the begonia you see on this trunk. It was an unforgettable experience, being out there like that," Naoki explained, closing his eyes for a brief moment.

Eventually, he pushed himself away from the tree and stepped closer to Yoshi. "What can you do..? With magic, I mean," Naoki asked, curiously reaching out to touch the other's hair gently, then behind one of his ears. It was a subtle way of doing what other monks knew him well for - flirting. "Soft," he commented in a murmur, almost incomprehensible.

Yoshida couldn't find why the 'tall' would be better than 'big' but he nodded his head anyway. Then he smiled as he heard the answer to his question. Yes. With the other being only here would mean he lacked such experience and it would be only normal to go and search for it.

When the other stepped closer he didn't feel threatened at all since Naoki was a monk. And being a monk was equal for the other to be safe kind of person. He was about to answer his question but then he was touched behind one of his long ears, making him moan. Blinking he first didn't react, too stunned by what had happened, only for his face to cover with a deep blush. Taking a step back he tripped again and fell on his round behind.

"Y-y-you can't touch there", he protested, clearly embarrassed.

His heart was beating like crazy when he looked around them to see if anyone saw that. Luckily the was no one near. Yoshi always was really sensitive and especially behind his ears and on the base of his long, fluffy tail. When he was younger his brothers always teased him about that.

Naoki smiled, clearly satisfied with the reaction he received. "Why not..? Is it too sensitive there? I assumed it was, having been around a few cats during my time away from the temple," he spoke, taking one step towards Yoshi and staring down at him. Without saying much else, he leaned down slightly and reached out his hand, taking his arm. The monk's touch was incredibly gentle, lifting the arm up and having his hand slide to Yoshi's hand so that his fingers could lock with the shifter's.

He helped Yoshi back onto his feet, ensuring that they were as close as possible to each other with Naoki towering over the shifter. Surprisingly, Naoki did not let go of Yoshi's hand, fearing that his new acquaintance would trip and fall again.

"You didn't answer me, though.. what sort of magic can you use?" Naoki asked in a soft tone, glancing down at the white figure in front of him. Being that he couldn't see the other's eyes very well, the monk took his free, gloved hand and brushed some of Yoshi's bangs out of his face white he waited for his answer.

"I-if you assumed that then why would you do some-something like that?", he asked and then blinked few times repeatedly as he was pulled back on his feet while having the other being so close to him.

As soon as his bangs were removed from his eyes they connected with the blue ones, making him squirm a bit while he couldn't find a strength in him to move away.

When asked the last question it took him few moments to gather his thoughts.

"Well. M-my magic..", he paused and then was able to get to his normal self, the subject making him quite excited. "It's a power of water. I can do anything and everting with it. When I'm near a stream it is much more powerful as well as let me regenerate. I can also heal myself and others with it but it really quite tiring and when I tried to do that with someone that lost his leg long ago I almost died. Still it easier to heal myself than someone else. And you? What can you exactly do?"

( I return! B ) )

'Because I felt like it,' Naoki thought to himself with a sly little smile, daring not to say those words out loud. Besides, he wasn't one to make such childish retorts to someone he barely knew.

Naoki attentively listened to Yoshi as he spoke, tilting his head a bit at the explanation. Water, eh? It seemed as though such a power fit Naoki's rather nicely. When he thought about it, the monk could sprout all sorts of flora in the temple and the shifter could be around to maintain it all. Not that Naoki expected him to do any of this, but it was simply food for thought.

When Yoshi had finished speaking, the monk hummed in a light tone and responded, "Me? You saw what I can do.. all you need to look at is that tree. As long as I know the specie of plant, I can make it. Another requirement is.. soil, or some tree or bush. Just like you almost perished regenerating someone's leg, I cannot restore an entire forest without it taking its toll on my health." Naoki frowned a little, scratching the back of his neck. "I envy you, really. You can heal people on the spot with just water, but what can I do? I can only make medicinal herbs and then make the poultices and whatnot by hand."

The smile he saw on the other's face made him huff softly but then he focused on what was being said later on, tilting his head. Then the shifter nodded.

"You are probably right but it's not like I can do easily something like that. On a desert you would be able to made the bush blood with what you need and I would be extremely weak. So our powers are have it's pros and cons and I think tat comparing them wouldn't give us much", he said and then smiled warmly. "I really enjoy just how different in this from all the others so... Still.. working together would give us some amazing results. Don't you think, Naoki?"

That said he grinned and took the other's hand to pull him a bit further in the forest. Then he stuck his finger out and showed him a tree that was cut off a year ago.

"But it can be really useful too. See that, I was able to restore it", he said, obviously happy. "So my power makes me happy now and then. I think if I would use it while not being close to some water source I would die really quickly."

"In a desert, it would still be difficult for me to use my powers. Sure, there could be plant life, but.. ah, I won't ever be in one anyways, so it's not really an issue," Naoki spoke, chuckling lightly. "But yes, I could see us doing great things if we work together. If I make, say, a watermelon, you could use it however you see fit. If I want some flora to be tended to while I'm away, you could water them. That.. tree, for example," he continued, smiling as he stared at the massive tree he cared for before he left the temple. He was glad, no, more than glad that Yoshi had taken care of what the monk left behind.

Naoki went along with the shifter willingly to look at the tree which had apparently been cut down, but from what he could see it looked perfectly fine.. in mint condition, he would've said. "Hmm.. if we stick together, you would technically have a water source with you at all times if just a little bit of earth is around," the monk spoke, glancing down at the smaller male with a soft smile.

Yoshida chuckled and showed his thumbs up, a gesture he learnt when he was the last time in the city, his tail rolling and unrolling at the tip showing he was quite happy. Unlike the real animals his family had its own body language just like the other families of the squirrel shifters. He was about to say something but then some of the younger monks surrounded Naoki, greeting him and asking a lot of questions.

Letting out a small snort he chuckled and jumped back on the tree. He got quite high so the noises didn't disturb him. Still he was still curious of the monk so he kept looking at him and observing how he interacted with the other people. They didn't finish they talk but if Naoki wanted he sure would be able to grow some veins that would get him to where he was sitting. One thing was sure - it would be really interesting to be able to get to know the other male. Maybe they could train their magic together? Maybe experiment? That would be interesting.

Such a big fellow for a monk.. He sure knows how to fight, right? That and few other thoughts went through his mind while his emerald eyes followed every step that Naoki made.
